BNE-SIN return on a 777. Very clean at all times including toilets, but seats not full flat bed.
Cabin full in business class but service outstanding. SIN-LHR return on a 747 - while seating was
full bed style not up to BA/QF standard. Service outstanding from flight attendants. Cost cutting on
amenity packs has resulted in no ear plugs or moisturisers provided. Lounge in Singapore of a high
standard with good meal options but no spirits available?

LHR-SIN (747) SIN-SYD (A380) Great AVOD on both flights, although better on the A380. Disappointed
with amenity pack on 747 sector, although superior pack given on the A380 flight. Food very nice,
snacks and drinks throughout the flight.

London to Perth return, economy. Check-in a shambles at Heathrow due to combination of poor
facilities and inept ground staff who mismanaged the queues. A380 an hour late due to a technical
problem, but a great experience. Easy boarding to top deck (recommended) and lots of room both at
seat and around the plane to walk around. Just made Perth connection, old 777-200, very tired as was
food and entertainment system. Newer or refurbished 777-200 on way back then 747-400, both fine.
Food not great but cabin service attentive as ever. Very good value.

Singapore to Melbourne return. The service was second to none and the cabin crew the best. I will
fly this airline again, the next time I will use them the whole way and not just the Sin to Mel leg.

LHR-SIN (B747); SIN-SYD (A380); BNE-SIN (B777); SIN-LHR (B747). Excellent return flights to
Australia. Boeing 747 has very comfortable seats in economy. Seat pitch (32") not quite as good as
Malaysian and Thai (34)", but better than BA and Virgin (31"). In flight entertainment (AVOD)
excellent (Krisworld). Airbus A380 is amazing - large windows, really big personal TV screens.
There is even music playing in the toilets the whole time! Cabin crew fantastic, the best I have
ever experienced - very considerate and friendly. Food OK, better than BA.

LAX-TPE-SIN, SIN-MNL Business Class. The transfer in LAX from United to Singapore was a bit ad hoc.
The signage was not particularly good and had to ask for directions, but made it to the Singapore
check-in counter (from deplaning to counter) within 23 minutes. Was the only one in line; check-in
efficient and painless. Offered the usual selection of OJ, bubbly, or water once onboard. In flight
service was standard SIA business class: had the "book the cook" meal, a mid-flight snack, and a
breakfast. FA's efficient with the occasional smile; the senior purser was first class: maitre'd of
the cabin. TPE-SIN was spot on, drinks offered prior to take-off, but then the FA's disappeared
service was simply exemplary - FA professional, personable.

Singapore-Kuala Lumpur, and Osaka-Singapore-Sydney business class. Checked in at Singapore for KL to
be told that I had been downgraded to economy as there was no C class cabin. The flight was fine and
being only 45 minutes long there was not a lot that could be offered in the way of service. My only
other comment was I was given a window seat as requested but found when I boarded that there was
just a blank wall next to the seat. Osaka to Sydney leg was booked so that I could fly the A380 and
I requested window seats on both sectors and SIA confirmed that these had been allocated but the
actual seat numbers would be issued at check-in. In Osaka I was told that my seat on the A380 had
been reassigned to a middle seat, when I questioned this I was told there was nothing they could do
but would fax Singapore and ask for it to be changed. The SIA lounge in Osaka is an uninspiring
place and was full by the time I got there, so I found a quiet seat in the terminal. Osaka -
Singapore leg on 777 with older type cabin but very comfortable, and the food on offer was very good
served by the sort of professional crew that has got the airline its high reputation. The sector on
the A380 was something of a disappointment - new C class seat is so big that any lateral support is
missing. Service was patchy on the right side of the plane - bread was served with the meal but was
not available on the left side. The passenger sat next to me, who had also been ejected from her
assigned window seat, recommended one of the red wines to me but when I asked for it, I found it was
only available on the right side the plane. Boarding and disembarkation well organised and achieved
in about the same time as a 747. In short the cabin crew are still some of the best around but
management seem to have decided that it doesn't matter if they upset some passengers as there will
be plenty more to follow. The attitude was summed up by the person at the service desk in the lounge
at Singapore. When I asked if there was a chance of a window seat as booked, I was told that as I
was on a Star Alliance ticket booked through Swiss there was no hope. The cabin crews deserve 5
stars but I would struggle to give the rest 2 stars.

SYD-SIN-ATQ (Amritsar), SQ220 (A380) delayed by one hour, after late arrival from SIN. Inflight
service was great, AVOD excellent. SIN-ATQ was a B772, arrived on time. Chose SQ as currently it's
on the only airline offering SYD-ATQ connections. Look forward to the return journey.

ADL-SIN-BLR and back on the 777-200 and the 777-300. The SIN-BLR flight was delayed due to a
'technical glitch'. We were forced to sit on board for over an hour before everyone was heralded off
the plane and into the lounge. Food was not provided, neither was any information. After what seemed
like an eternity, we were told that it would take another hour or so to fix the problem. Service on
board was as usual, with robotic crew. IFE had some issues, but overall this was the first bad
experience I've had with SQ in a long time, but guess issues like this happen to all airlines, even
5 star ones.

SYD-SIN-FRA in Business on A380 and B777ER. Quite a trip, all in the new Business of SIA. I had
followed the A380 on-time performance with some concern before I took the flight, as my connection
was only 45 minutes in Singapore. Indeed on the day of my travel, the plane was 55 minutes late out
of Sydney. I was of course worried, but SIA did indeed let the plane to Frankfurt wait for us. This
is a very good service. Thus I was able to manage a 10 minute connection between both flights and
even my luggage was on board. Regarding the seats enough is said already, however, I must add that
when the seat is not in the bed position, it is a trifle uncomfortable. Everything else was pure SQ
standard!

I have travelled long haul with SIA three times this year so far in both economy and business and
while accommodation is not fantastic (economy seats on most of the aircraft are a little snug for a
5'11" westerner) their service recovery is exemplary - when something goes wrong they do something
about it and keep you informed. I was particularly impressed when a 747 went technical on the stand
and they produced hot food and drink for the whole aircraft within 30 minutes - and told us what was
going on. The IFE is quite good in economy with a large selection of films and TV shows but it
seems not to change that frequently so if you do a lot of flights you rapidly run out of stuff to
watch.

NRT-SIN (T3) Economy. B747-400 a bit old but well maintained. Smiling and efficient crew and good
food. The second leg, SIN-MAN Economy Boeing 777-200ER was more impressive. Although the flight was
fully booked, this 14 hour flight was comfortable. Superb cabin attendants, good food, frequent
drink services. Toilets kept tidy all the times. What I would like to point out is the design of
seats on B777-200 is better than that of B747-400. While it seems both has footrests, IFE,
headrests, the ones on 777 has a cap holder and holder for small items (such as glasses) beside the
monitor. This will help us make the seat pocket thin, which is important for long distance flights.
IFE is great, because it has AVOD, but because the choice of movies includes Indian, Japanese,
Korean, Chinese, European and all with English subtitles. SIN-MAN route, there was a flight
attendant very fluent in various Asian languages.

PER-SIN-LAX EWR-SIN-PER. Flights great, especially executive economy between Singapore and the USA.
It is unfortunate that the A340-500 aircraft used for non stop flights to/from the US is soon to be
reconfigured to accommodate Raffles Class only, as the extra space and fewer seats really did make
these flights much more pleasant at an affordable price.

Singapore Airlines Economy class on A380. I found the seating to be usual style (although the seats
are larger by 2 inches in both directions). The inflight entertainment was magnificent -full marks.
The meal trays did not fit properly on the drop down trays and kept sliding towards my lap. My
neighbour found the same thing. The trays hit the hinges at the back. Three of the loos
malfunctioned which was not so good. It is an extremely quiet aircraft.

Jakarta - Hong Kong. I paid US$700 for the flight (more expensive that CX and Garuda). I had the
777ER Hong Kong to Singapore - economy class was a disappointment. The seat was the same as other SQ
seats but I find seats on the older 777 more spacious and comfortable. The entertainment system is
spectacular. The screen is big and wide and also clear.

flight best ever I reckon - I and two fellow passengers treated royally and drink flowed. Being
next to the galley and asking nicely probably helped. Inflight entertainment very good, very
consistent service. For the money I paid, they were excellent. The stopover hotel offer is a great
way to make the trip nicer and great value.

LHR-SIN on the first A380 on that route, and my first time on SQ in business. The A380 does live up
to the hype. I don't think I found the SQ seat/bed to be any better or worse than BA/Virgin premium
products. What was impressive was on-demand TV selection which seemed to work on SQ. Cabin crew
service was good. Being offered a choice of coffees was also a nice touch. I don't think there are
enough toilets for business class on the A380 - although the 2 at the rear are in theory just for
business class, many economy passengers were using them. Also the taps/faucets in them are operated
by waving your hand over a sensor which didn't seem to work readily whenever I tried. Also massively
impressive was arriving into new terminal 3 at Singapore - from touch down to my hotel downtown by
cab in 45 minutes! Bags came off amazingly quickly - just makes me want to cry thinking how
different my experience at Heathrow will be in a few days time.

PER via SIN to FRA return economy. Booking online and arranging seat and meal reservation is easy.
An annoying fact is that SIA and Lufthansa (which was my onward carrier out of FRA) although
operating on the same alliance are not able to issue boarding passes of each other. Which meant
queuing up in Frankfurt for another boarding pass after 20 hours on the go. Inflight service was
brilliant. I found the new KrisWorld entertainment programme on the Boeing 777-300ER very
impressing. A big screen, fast menu, no troubles with movies or audio programmes. The seat pitch is
great. The food was good and plentiful, service friendly and quick. Another positive note is the
brand new Terminal 3 in Changi Airport. It is a great place to spend even some more hours in between
the flights. This is like an airport should be like: an enjoyable and relaxed place with easy-to-
find access to everything.

SYD-SIN-LHR. The A380 actually lived up to the marketing hype. The new seats are very spacious and
you can actually stretch out. Even though I am quite tall and you have to sleep at an angle, I slept
well on my side and my back. SpaceBeds on B747-400 to London were still good and seem well
maintained despite the age. Service impeccable, personable, friendly but not intrusive. Catering was great.

YVR-SIN-PER. 777-200 all the way. We did notice that the cabin crew were definitely less skilled
when we changed crews in SEL on the way to SIN. As others have noted, the regional crews are maybe
not as organized and experienced as long haul crews and everything seemed much more rushed on the
SEL-SIN sector. That said, the cabin crew SIN-PER were very good and that would be considered a
regional service. All meals tasty and well presented, with a good variation available. IFE was
excellent, although the controls in the armrest can be a bit of a nuisance if you are a little wide.
