Y class from Sydney to Singapore in seat 43C and I recommend against this seat or the entire row for that matter.
These seats are right next to the sets of toilets and in a full flight, there is constant activity with people queuing
and crew rarely cleaned the toilets causing a stench that hovered around the area. The seats are also not good and
cushioning is thin which gets unbearable after a while so had to stand up and walk around multiple times to avoid back
pains. Crew service inconsistent with some friendly and others forgetful with requests.

Travelled Heathrow to Singapore then Singapore to KUL economy class. Very comfortable seats, probably the
best I've had in economy class. The food and drinks were excellent, even a Singapore sling if you wanted
one! The entertainment system had a few electrical problems on our flight but was generally good and
plenty of choice of films and music to pass the time. All staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. I will
be happy to use this airline again.

Hong Kong - Singapore, return flight last week. Check-in in Hong Kong was fast and smooth. On both legs,
service onboard was not very good, most of the crew were not smiling. Food was terrible both from HK and
from Singapore. Check in for the return flight was not smooth. Staff could barely speak English and were not
polite. Based on this flight I will think twice before taking Singapore Airlines.

Disappointed the Silverkris lounge at Melbourne airport has temporarily closed and didn't even bother with
alternative lounge. Checking in at Melbourne and Changi was organized but would have liked staff to be more
welcoming rather than rushing to serve the next person. Crew seemed friendlier and served pre-flight drinks
before take-off. The downside to the flights were the seats and catering. The seat design was unusual and
whilst I appreciate extra inches in a seat, the width of these seats I found was a little excessive, causing
more discomfort then comfort making sitting awkward and sleeping uncomfortable. Catering was
disappointing and wasn't anything to write home about and menu wasn't very extensive. An ordinary
experience and not worth the money I paid for this flight.

First class service at economy rate from start to finish! Having travelled numerous times from Manchester to
Perth on various airlines, this in our opinion was by far the best. Economy seating was quite good on a fairly
new aircraft. Complete with USB ports/chargers etc. Service excellent from always smiling, happy obliging
crew. Meals very good. The odd one I didn't like, but that's personal and not a slur on the airline. They were
at the time of booking the best price. I would not hesitate to fly with company again.

13 Feb 2013, SGN-SIN-MEL. Orderly check-in and boarding in Saigon. The 777-300 was just about full, but the
cabin crew went about the meal and drink service efficiently on the short-haul flight. The aircraft was showing
signs of age with the IFE screens not staying retracted and the basin in the toilet I visited not draining the
water. A six hour stopover at Changi airport before the second flight leg to Melbourne. Changi Airport is still
an example to the rest of the world of how an international airport should be. The second leg of the flight
boarded fairly quickly and was uneventful. The lower deck of the A380 was absolutely full. The service
provided by SIA cabin crew was again, excellent. The food was tasty and attractive and the choices on the
IFE seems limitless. A criticism is the length of time to disembark. Lower deck economy class waited 15
minutes until we started to move off the A380.

SFO-HKG on the A380 in Y with a bump to J because Y was oversold. Check in was smooth, no queue at J
counter, bags priority tagged, used the UA Club Lounge as Kris Lounge was over capacity. On board service
was outstanding, great meal service with excellent menu selection. New SQ J seats are very comfortable and
allow for great sleep fully flat, nice down comforter as well. Bags arrived first off the carousel, arrived on time
and fully rested.

Boeing 777, Manchester-Singapore-Brisbane. Service and food good but planes old, uncomfortable and
desperately in need of refurbishment. Really not good enough and will not fly with them again unless they
upgrade their planes. Back to Emirates or Qantas for me.

Return trip to Singapore from Sydney late January and it was on the Airbus A380. Asked for an upper deck
seat but was told it was now all business class so assigned a seat on lower deck and irritated at the limited
room and leg space especially on an 8 hour flight. Overall comfort of the seat is shocking and padding is thin
giving little support and had to compensate with pillows for lumbar support. Seat pitch very tight and when
the person in front reclined viewing the monitors and accessing the tray table was very difficult unless I
reclined as well but in saying so recline wasn't all that good either. Didn't enjoy the food and it was quite
salty for my taste. Singapore Airlines advertise themselves as a premium carrier but this trip was far from
these standards and will look into other carriers in future for comfort reasons.

CDG-SIN-SYD and return in business class. We just cannot fault them, including the wider business class
seats. Planes clean, cabin crew professional and welcoming and as for the food, delicious, no complaints
whatsoever. It is almost 2 years since we have flown with them and have not, ourselves, noticed any
diminishing service. Will book SIA in the future without any hesitation.

NRT-LAX / LAX-NRT with A380-800. I can still say that SIA economy is the best even compared to its other
partner airlines. Smooth check-in with extra checked baggage allowance, on-time boarding and arrival,
spacious economy cabin, delicious intercontinental and Japanese gourmet, excellent in-flight services and
entertainment (Krisworld). However, SIA can be even better if it pays more attention to its A380 jumbojet as
it starts to age (about 5 years old already).

I agree with comments here made about diminishing service quality and terrible seats. Recently completed a
return trip from Sydney to Singapore aboard the A380 with the fairly new business seats. I found the seats to
be ridiculously wide and too short for me and had to bend my legs to sleep. The few seat positions available
were done with the press of a button, but to make it fully flat I had to move out of my seat and do it
manually which I don't quite understand why on such a recent fleet of aircraft's. Other passengers just looked
at me struggling and confused and I had to call for staff assistance which was quite embarrassing. Also the
leather fabric was comfortable at first but after a while it heats up quite quickly making sitting and sleeping
uncomfortable. The staff did the bare minimum serving food, beverages etc but service was dull and clinical.
Food was served hot but presentation was awful with just clumps of vegetables around the meat in the
middle swimming in some sort of sauce. I expected more from Singapore Airlines and was disappointed with
this flight.

SIN-ADL, A330. Lounge fantastic with lots of food and seating, flight on time and crew very friendly. The
cabin is not the latest offering but even so was far superior to the LH product I used for the first leg of the
journey. As this was a night flight I did not bother with the meal, however the breakfast was very good.
Certainly an airline I would seek to use again.

CGK-SIN-BKK return. One hour lay over time in Changi was very tight as the flight from Jakarta arrived a bit
late. Soon after we arrived at Changi I saw on the information screen that it was already final call for our
flight. I had to run with my wife as the distance between terminal was quite far. Had to catch my breath just
to check in to the aircraft. I was on 777 and the seat was a bit cramped. My wife had to tell the passenger in
front of her not to fully reclined his seat as there was no room to move, my wife was 170 cm (5'6'') and was
not considered very tall. The food was excellent but the attendants were not as attentive as advertised. A bit
disappointed.

Not happy with my travel experience from Perth to Singapore. Paid higher price anticipating better service but
would much rather have paid lower fares to fly a local airline at the cost of service. Very disappointed with
the lack of space between seats on the B777 even for a person like me with a small build and height (5 ft 5).
Sitting in a window seat was a nightmare with the feeling of being trapped as there was so little room and
accessing the aisle was out of the question unless you climb over the two passengers next to you. Plane was
clean but very old and condition deteriorating with soiled seats and evident signs of wear and tear. Not a
good start to return flight with chaotic check in and attendants smiley but very disorganized and
unprofessional. Tried to sleep for most of the journey but woke up sweating at the extremely high
temperatures and I wasn't the only one bothered by it with many passengers requesting for the aircon to be
turned down which seemed to take a long time. Two options for meals and one ran out before reaching me
and can't say they were standards of a 5 star airline. Low quality and won't fly again.

I flew Mumbai to Jakarta via Singapore. Special meal requested was provided on all 4 journeys, and it was
better than other airlines. Flights were late on both legs even though boarding was completed well before
time. Planes were 777-200. There was hardly any gap between seats. Staff were not the benchmark that
Singapore Airlines had set few years ago. Checked in suitcase did not reach destination in the same flight.

Perth - Siem Reap, 777-200, Perth to Singapore. Plane was more than half empty. Managed to get a spare
seat between my husband and I. Hot towels given out and plenty of drink runs by flight attendants. Food
was some of the best economy food I have eaten. Screens on the old 777 were small and my screen was
very fuzzy. Overall a very enjoyable flight with pleasant service and hardware. Flight from Singapore to Siem
Reap was Silk Air. Flight SIN - Perth was late leaving. It is interesting to note that the flight was not
delayed but re-timed! This is the new term used on the flight boards in Singapore. 777-200 and a full flight
leaving over an hour late. The plane had a large number of families with small children which caused a
problem with seating. Several people asked to move seats so families could be close together. One couple
refused to move even though they would have only moved across one seat. This caused problems on a plane
where most families consisted of 2 adults and 2 children on a plane that was 3-3-3 across. It took about 15
minutes to reorganize seating. Seats on this again old 777 were very uncomfortable for a night time flight.
Zero cushioning remaining on the seats. The drink runs were numerous and the service once again very good.
This time the screens on the plane were larger and functioned much better. This product is a big step up
from low cost carriers flying from Perth to Singapore and worth the extra money as far as I'm concerned.

LHR-SYD on A380. Travelled alone so opted for window seat so I could rest against the body. Seats
uncomfortable and restricted legroom. Food good and they did cater well for a last minute dietary
requirement. IFE excellent. Website poor - difficult to do online check in or seat change. Don't think its
worth the extra cost as they are expensive.

BKK-SIN-SYD and have mixed feelings about the experience. Although the first leg was on an aircraft with an
older fit out I think I preferred it to the A380! It makes no sense to design a seat where you must stand up
to convert it to a bed because by the time you are ready to sleep you are drowsy and settled in your chair. I
guess after you have flown with them once you will know how to convert it, which is almost a necessity since
the staff were not helpful (another passenger took pity on me and made my bed up for me, commenting that
service wasn't what it used to be as she assisted me). The bed itself is very wide but also short so ok for
sleeping if you don't mind being a little curled up. While the staff were all smiles they seemed to forget
things, or even ignore the fact you spoke to them. Meal service was chaotic and especially noticeable
because my husband and I were in the centre of the 1-2-1 configuration so he was served from one side and
me from the other. In particular he had to ask for his main meal 5 times because it never arrived, despite
them serving everyone else around him. And the flight was only 50% full so not like they were busy. Add the
poor service to the limited menu options and terrible food quality and really all the extra $ for business class
gets you is some sleep. Not sure it was worth it for Asia to Aust (not that far to go), and if you are headed
to Europe then there are so many better options with quality business class products.

Work trip, Singapore - Dubai return in business class. The inflight service on both legs was to the usual high
standard. Food / drinks and IFE all good. I like the upgraded regional biz class configuration, with the leather
recliners, which in some ways are more comfortable than the long haul ones in my opinion, albeit narrower.
Only one complaint, which is that SQ fly into old T1 at DBX, and the shared biz class lounge is simply too
small for the amount of airlines that use it. I don't expect SQ to have their own lounge with just one flight a
day to Dubai, but they need to find a better solution than the one they have.

Flew A380 on Melbourne to Singapore route early January. Excited to try Singapore Airlines but felt
underwhelmed after the experience. The 1-2-1 layout in business is great but the business seat itself is
uncomfortable with limited rest positions and it is unnecessarily wide which makes sleeping and relaxing very
difficult. Assigned seat 23A which wasn't a front row seat so had to bend my legs onto a small platform to
place my feet on. Luckily they were flat beds in which I managed to sleep a few hours. Meals inconsistent in
quality ranging from good to poor with hot dishes often served lukewarm or cold and meat sometimes
undercooked. Positives with the staff service and inflight entertainment but deficient in key areas.

Second flight to Australia with Singapore and once again they did not disappoint. As a 6'4" man, flying
economy any length can be uncomfortable. London-Singapore leg on A380. I had a window seat in the first
economy cabin, main deck. Seat was spacious and comfortable even if the person in front reclined. The
entertainment system was first class as always. They even have usb ports. Singapore-Brisbane leg on A330.
Again plenty of room, comfortable. Slightly less room at the window due to the shape of the aircraft. Service
on all flights excellent. The food was good for airline food. They kept you well hydrated and were happy to
assist in any requests. Two gripes - 1) Front main cabin has most of the small child facilities. As such on my
outward bound flights I had a number of kids crying for the majority of the flight. Frustrating when trying to
sleep. On the way back I changed my seats to the rear cabins. More free seats and considerably fewer kids!
2) A380 seemed to have a limited number of toilets. I flew on Singapore's 747's and they had 6 toilets
together and seldom was there a queue. With the A380, my cabin only had two at the front which were often
in use.

Friendly staff, alright food, good entertainment but it counts for nothing when you can't sit or sleep
comfortably. The economy cabin seats on the A380 from Sydney to Singapore truly make it cattle class. The
seats are terrible and at its worst when the person in front reclines you have to recline as well so the screen
isn't in your face and leg room is very limited. They are also very slim and don't provide enough back support
so had to use multiple cushions and blankets. Disappointed and a very uncomfortable trip and will not use in
future.

Travelled to Singapore from Sydney on A380. Fast check in with separate desks for business passengers and
generally friendly staff but once onboard things went downhill. Seats were too wide with limited leg support
and seat 17K is right near the galley - extremely noisy especially when food and drinks are being prepared.
Catering was alright but nothing special and often the beef was served undercooked. Overall service was
disappointing with even the staff seeming less attentive and more robotic even when they were smiling.

CDG-SIN-CDG on A380. Everything perfect except seat comfort. Hard to believe how exceptional the service
was: even in most business classes on other airlines, service is far from being that good: efficient,
anticipating our needs - all with a smile. Unfortunately, the seats on Singapore Airlines A380 are much too
hard for a 13 hours trip. If they were softer, their product would be unbeatable.

HKG-SIN, SIN-HKG. Both flights on A380. On the first leg, the tray table broke and was not able to be fixed.
The flight attendants very courteously taped it up and moved me to an alternative seat. The food served was
delicious and hot. On the return leg, the same excellent service was retained, with the added bonus of the
flight attendants using my first name. Will fly again when possible.

My wife and I flew from Auckland to Capetown via Singapore and back again. Only on one of the four planes
did both of our entertainment systems fully work. Food was probably the worse I've eaten for a long time.
Service in-flight ranged from very good to average. However, what annoyed me the most is the fact that I
paid $61 to get a specific preferred seat, which, when I came to check-in on-line, I didn't get. When I phoned
Singapore Airlines, I was told that they didn't inform me of the change as they didn't have any contact details
for me, which was a lie as they had previously contacted me about a time change. I did an email from them
saying that, as an apology, for the return journey home from Cape Town to Auckland, we would be getting
30kg weight allowance as well as giving us priority baggage. It's a shame that this wasn't either mentioned
on our booking or passed over to Cape Town check-in staff as we got neither! Customer service gets a 0 out
of 10 rating.

SYD-SIN. Checking in at Changi was a nightmare and airport staff were desperately trying to organize lines.
Ground staff very robotic with no smiles and at times rude. Boarding on the other hand was well organized
and efficient. No smiles from crew onboard and they need to be more responsive, when I say thank you they
just looked at me. Toilets were unclean and nothing was available in the toilets as it was all taken and not
restocked. Food was very ordinary especially the Western option compared to other economy meals I've had.
Seats were very uncomfortable for me and backs seemed quite hard with padding giving limited comfort. On-
time arrival at Sydney airport. It was not a pleasant first time experience and nothing met my expectations.
Fares were slightly cheaper but not worth it in my opinion.

I have being flying Singapore regularly for the past 7 years. On the whole, I have returned to them as I had
always found their level of service high. However, on a recent flight from Singapore to Sydney I had the
misfortune of witnessing the results of excessive service of alcohol to inebriated, fellow passengers. I had
the window seat and the two passengers next to me (who were friends) had minor issues to complain about.
However, they were incredibly vocal about these complaints and as a results their every request was given,
including service of alcohol throughout the flight (up to the point when the plane was being prepared for
landing). It was clearly visible that I was not the only other passenger in the vicinity being disrupted by their
behavior, and even after bringing this to the attention of the flight attendants they continued to be served
alcohol. I feel incredibly disappointed with how Singapore Airlines managed this situation and will avoid flying
with them in the future.

A flight using miles from Singapore to Melbourne return with two small children. Excellent service at
Singapore and Melbourne airports from the Business check-in desks, and both flights very smooth and without
problems. Children watched a movie and then went straight to sleep on both legs. Adults had a quiet chat
and did likewise. Staff were present and very helpful at all points. Quality and consistency is clearly there
and the A380 is a very good plane to fly. Strongly recommended. The only issue is that taxes etc on top of
the miles needed feel too high.

Melbourne to Singapore return on the Airbus A380. Received a wonderful service from the crew onboard who
were always smiling. Travelled with my 5 year old daughter who was well taken of by the FAs especially at
meal times. They offered her various puzzles and colouring in books for entertainment. Food was delicious
and orange juice and water was served frequently. A smooth and excellent flight.

B777-200, PER-SIN. Not impressed with the small seats and lack of space between rows (I am 5 ft tall)
especially when the person in front of me reclined his seat right after the meal. It was difficult to see the
screen properly and being in the middle, it was extremely difficult for the passenger in the window seat to
exit. The A330 airbus is more comfortable and is more suitable for couples travelling given the 2-4-2
configuration. The cabin crew on this particular flight were inattentive and when my husband asked for a
drink, he was told the 'bar' was closed and then 10 minutes later he was brought a drink! SIA has always
been our preferred airline however we have noticed many changes in the attitude of the staff, the quality of
the meals and the fact that the passenger comfort level is ever diminishing. The quality that set SIA apart
seems to be disappearing, particularly in economy.

Sao Paulo-Barcelona. Bad start on the ground, with a completely unprofessional and disorganized check-in (a
pleasant attendant, but inexperienced and inefficient), and generally a feeling of utter chaos. On the flight
itself, we are back to Singapore standards. Lovely service, attentive and friendly yet efficient, good food,
comfortable seats, good entertainment. A relief after the airport attendance.

CGK-SIN-BNE and SYD-SIN-CGK. Flying as a group. Flight departed CGK as SQ953 and for the SIN-BNE it was
an overnight flight as SQ255. The transition from one gate to another was very easy and smooth. On the
overnight flight, the crew were attentive and welcoming. Check in at CGK was swift and organized. I
requested several extra snacks and drinks and FAs served them with a smile. Meal was delicious, and seat
was comfortable. We flew back from Sydney to Jakarta via Singapore. The flight was full but the boarding and
disembarking process was easy and nice. The IFE on all sectors was great, but the one for the 777-200
classic series is where they need to improve it.

CGK-SIN-SYD return. CGK-SIN - service was efficient but cabin crew seemed to lack energy during service.
SIN-SYD was truly disappointing. Cabin staff rude and uninterested and the meal was tasteless. SYD-SIN -
the service was excellent, cabin crew eager to serve and the meal selections were wonderful, the same thing
goes for SIN-CGK with efficient service.

Flew 4 legs internationally in Economy on SQ recently (PER-SIN-AMS return) and noticed a significant drop in
quality since the same trip a year ago. The 777 used on the SIN-AMS route appeared tired, with a tatty
interior, and on the return there seemed to be a thermostat issue, with cabin temperatures vacillating
between extremely hot and frigid, making sleep almost impossible. Service was good on this leg, but poor by
comparison on the SIN-PER route, where entire rows were left without a drinks service, making service appear
amateurish compared to the first leg. I hope SIA isn't becoming like the rest.

London-Singapore-Phuket return over Christmas break. First time on A380 and I was very impressed. First
thing you notice is the reduced noise level and the cabin layout is spacious. Food good and the level of
service was excellent, I made several extra requests for drinks and there were no issues. All in all as far as
economy goes, Singapore are hard to beat. I did not have an issue with the seats and the AVOD had more
than required. The only negative is that the A380 could do with a couple of extra toilets. Check in at
Heathrow and Singapore was a breeze.
