I travel twice a year from Heathrow to Auckland and have never had a bad experience either in the
air or on the ground. The check-in at Heathrow is among the best I have had and when I travelled
business class or on my gold card (all too infrequently!) I have loved the lounges at Heathrow and
Changi. I have flown with many airlines and the service on Singapore is superior to any.

Sydney-London Economy A380. Being 6'2 I was dreading the 21hour flight down the back, but not as bad
as it could have been. Was surprised at lack of seat choices despite checking in 48 hours ahead.
Managed to get seats at the back of upstairs which despite being near the toilets and galley were
not too noisy. Seats a definiate improvement over B747 as a bit wider and just enough legroom. Lack
of IFE box helps too. Food good and generous enough. Drinks fine too and crew did lots of drinks
runs. Entertainment easy to use and lots of content. Crew a mixed bag - all efficient, not so many
smiles from some. Overall the best economy going and the new Business Seats looked very tempting.

Singapore to Cairo B777-200. Older aircraft and one of the worst seats. Even the flight attendant
seemed embarrassed and was offering to put pillows or blankets under me. It seemed that the padding
or support had given away and when you sat in the seat you sank into the centre whilst the front
edge of the seat had a a metal bar that pushed up under your legs. The only saving grace was that I
was sitting in an exit row. Service was fine if somewhat limited, however the food we were served
was really very ordinary. Inflight screens were small after the 777-300.

Bangkok to Narita in economy class. The service was very good and was excellent. Seat pitch is the
best one can expect for economy class, I am tall but survived the seven hour flight both ways. I
requested a Japanese newspaper and the steward was kind enough to supply me with one from Business
Class. Toilets well maintained and all requests for extras, for example tissues and extra water at
meal times were provided with courtesy and a smile. Another advantage of Singapore Airlines is their
check-in desk at Bangkok is open all evening, so no queues. I will fly this route again and stay
with SQ, their loyalty programme is good and I agree heartily that they are a five star airline.

Singapore to Kuala Lumpur economy. Travelling with infant and toddler. For this short sector a
777-200. Excellent seat pitch for economy and superb service by cabin crew. Cabin Crew was excellent
with children and provided cookies and sweets for them, which was a nice touch. Very high standard
of service and will certainly fly with SQ again.

First time flying SQ for 20 years and first time in Economy. Left Singapore on time and same on
return from Hong Kong. 777ER on way out and 777200 on return. Seats slightly better on ER but all
excellent. Food good for economy and drinks aplenty. Cabin crew outstanding in all ways.
Entertainment top rate. Booked seats on line months in advance and no changes. Overall a memorable
experience.

Business Class flight SIN - NRT on A380. The plane definitely has a certain wow factor, very
spacious feeling, extremely quiet engines and restroom in the plane which are very spacious. The new
business class boasts an incredible wide seat. A bit cumbersome is the conversion of the seat for
sleeping which requires some help from stewardess. Seat also needs to be converted again when
wanting to sit or prior landing. This is not the most optimal solution, but still a very comfortable
ride/sleep as a fully flat bed. On this particular nightflight food offering was a bit sparse for
business class, although sufficient. Overall service was as good as always with Singapore Airlines.

Auckland-Singapore-Paris return. This was about as good as economy class travel
can get. 777-300 planes new and spotless. legroom good, seat quite comfortable.
Could always recline slightly further, but still good. Krisworld kept me
entertained for most of the trip. Food really good with plenty of refreshments
served throughout the flight and also from the back galley. Flight crew were
friendly and really did have the genuine Singapore Girl smile.

Sydney to Singapore to Cairo return. Check in very fast, boarding the aircraft very quick, no long
boarding lines. Flight was comfortable, seats were not bad and a lot of channels on the tv screen.
Food was great, transit in Singapore was nice (6hours). on the next flight it was a B777 on direct
flight to Cairo. This flight was packed and the aircraft was not really comfortable but was still
happy with service and food.

MNL-SIN-AMS. The flight out of Manila was on a worn out B777. This was never an issue as the service
was excellent. Food was good and the seats, though the cushions were a bit hard for my preference,
were quite comfortable. Singapore to Amsterdam on a relatively new B777. The seats in this leg were
a bit more comfortable, which was welcome as the flight was for over 13 hours. Inflight
entertainment superb with new and old movies to choose from on personal video screens. Drinks in the
form of water, juices and sodas were offered every hour during the flight. SIA is the only airline I
know of that offer amenity kits to economy class passengers.

SFO to SIN via Seoul. The aircraft was spacious and my seat, although a bit firm, was quite
comfortable. The new Krisworld was great. The catering was top notch, and Korean dishes that I chose
were excellent. Cabin crew very efficient, bringing around drinks at least once every hour. Most of
the FA's were also quite pleasant and had a smile on their face. Overall an excellent experience.

JFK-FRA, 747 in Business on the upper deck. Seat was very comfortable, with additional storage
between the seat and the window. Skipped the evening meal service to get a full night's sleep, but
cabin crew didn't follow through on my request to be woken up for breakfast service. Lots of crew
on hand relative to the number of passengers in Business. Only drawback was flying out of JFK.
The check-in counter wanted to weigh my carry-on, and then claimed it was too heavy to carry on, and
gave me quite a hassle before relenting and letting me carry it on (mind you, I was flying business
class, and the carry-on was only 12kg)! Rather surprising treatment for the situation, I thought.
The lounge which they provide a pass to was pretty decent, but unfortunately stuck on the landside,
and as always, security at T4 was a mess.

BOM-SIN inaugural flight of B777-300ER. A nice function held at BOM, a snack box and drinks
distributed. A nice event, flight was on time their latest B777-300ER. Aircraft spotlessly clean,
crew one of the best I have encountered, amazing food and good IFE and drinks flowing freely.
Nothing much to ask for on a 5 hr leg. Return leg, the food was even better, FA's a tad forgetful,
bit no issues, they are human after all. Excellent flight on the return as well, no delay in any of
the sectors.

SYD-SIN-HKG return. Check in at SYD was extremely slow, waited at least 20mins in line. Once onboard
Food and service were fantastic. Outward flights were on 747 and 777-200 with SpaceBeds and regional
business class seats respectively. Both adequate for the sectors flown. Return flights were on
777-300ER and A380 with new business class seats. The new seat is great as a flat bed but lack
support and of limited recline as a seat. At SYD priority tagged bags arrived first on carousel. I
travelled with 2 bags both priority tagged, 1 bag was delivered with the rest of the priorty bags
but the second bag took a further 15mins to arrive at carousel and seemed to have mixed in with the
rest of the baggage. Other than this minor glitch (possibly of the SYD airport rather than SQ) the
whole experience is definitely 5-star.

ICN-SFO-ICN. Very good flights, everything went smoothly, quick and quality service by FAs. Their
service may be 'robotic' at times but they do care about the passenger and the prove it onboard. The
downside with SQ is the difficulty to get upgrades and the higher price of the air fare you pay
(compared to other carriers that operate the same route). But you get what you've paid for. Overall
a great experience anytime I have flown with them.

LHR-SIN-TPE. A380 was delayed leaving London due to catering being delayed and thus was a few
minutes late getting onto the gate at SIN. The flight was good in every other aspect - great food
and service and the new biz class seat was fantastic if a little firm. I walked across T3 at SIN
onto the TPE flight and couldn't see any way that my bag could possibly make it, but it did. SIN-
TPE on older 777, on time, baggage on carousel by the time I got through customs. Just about as
close to perfection as you could get.

BNE-SIN-PVG return in business. BNE-SIN-BNE leg in newer 777-300, SIN-PVG-SIN in ancient 777-200. On
the BNE-SIN-BNE legs, inflight service was excellent, always addressed by name. Food was very good
(although my meal preference ran out twice before it got to me!), drinks kept topped up by the very
friendly smiling flight attendants. Plenty of legroom, though the seat width was not as good as
expected, and the seat was also pretty hard. The 2-3-2 seat configuration made it difficult getting
in and out of the centre seat on a night flight when all seats are reclined. On the SIN-PVG-SIN legs,
the aircraft was old and tatty, with no VOD. The service was still faultless but the age and state
of the aircraft just took the edge off it. AU$3000 cheaper than the next priced flight (with
Qantas/Dragonair via HK) so still represented better value for money than other airlines.
