OSL-FCO on 737. On this route, it seems, both aircraft and cabin crew appears to be from the old Braathens airline which SAS acquired some time ago. Seats and cabin all economy layout without cabin divider - resembles a low cost carrier with barely enough comfort, and nothing else. Cabin staff do their thing, but without any excellence or hints of elegance. Food such as sandwiches and snack is for sale but nothing really appetizing offered. I still try to use this service over other carriers on this route, mainly due to free baggage allowance, online check-in, and flier miles.

Oslo to Brussels. Old Boeing 737, very uncomfortable, was placed without advance notice in a seat just in front of the emergency exit that doesn't recline. Food and drinks are not free. There was no difference between this flight and one operated by Ryanair. Very disappointed by SAS quality standards, was expecting more.

Business

CPH-DXB Business. Check in fairly easy at CPH. Business Class Lounge is mediocre. Nice to look at but no food and only 1 red and 1 white wine on tap! The crew were close to retirement but tried their best to be friendly. I found the crew not very service minded and they seem to rush the dinner service. Food very plain, both dinner and breakfast. Lie-flat seat is not very comfortable to sleep on so I hate the SAS night flights. Amenity kits very flimsy with bad quality products. The standards are so low on SAS - even in Business - and it is about time they realize that non-Danes are used to good service.

ARN-OSL Premium Economy. Check-in and fast track through security great! Greeted by purser, who offered to take my coat, when I boarded 737-800. Flight only takes around 50 minutes but they serve a cold meal with wine or champagne, coffee and cognac. Flight was full but the cabin crew did a great job.

OSL-CDG on rerouting to the US. Received free upgrade at Check-in. Multiple Check-in machines at Oslo broken and security a mess so almost missed the flight. Boarding easy. Legroom and recline enough for the 2 hour flight. FA's nice and chatty. Served a delicious complimentary cold meal after take-off with unlimited refreshments.

ARN-CPH-LHR. SAS Check in at Stockholm very helpful. Short hop to Copenhagen was fine with two adults, one child and an infant. Delayed at Copenhagen for two hours on the tarmac. Crew very unhelpful, unprofessional and moody with the kids, pilot gave very vague updates, most of which were wrong. No drinks served until one hour into the flight. Will avoid SAS for a long time.

BKK-CPH-MAN return in Economy Extra. Efficient Scandinavian service both on the ground and in the air. 10hr delay in CPH on return leg no problem - hotel /taxi vouchers provided without any questions. As a regular long haul passenger I would happily use again.

Washington DC to Copenhagen with a large group including small children. Suffered the expected check-in problems but found the flight relatively pleasant. Food was warm, plentiful, and varied - something for everyone. Chocolates available at the back of the plane which entertained the children. Two complimentary alcoholic beverages, hot towels provided. Entertainment system nice as each seat has its own screen and private selection to choose from.

Trondheim via Oslo to Stockholm. Quick and smooth booking and check in. Boarding somewhat slow due to people blocking the aisle in the front of the plane (business/economy extra). Shortage of space in the overhead bins, due to a lot of oversize cabin luggage, tax free bags, caused some frustration among late boarding passengers. SAS does not really bother about the rules for cabin luggage size. Departure and arrival almost on time. Efficient, friendly and professional service.

Having spent 3 days stranded at Stockholm airport with no information, no seats, no drinks or food and in a queue for 9 hours the staff within the SAS desk were rude. The desk closed at 10pm prompt and staff went home leaving us stranded as the airport shut. I will never fly this company again, I even had to find my own accommodation for 2 nights as their attitude was 'its not our fault'. On our flight out to Kiruna they lost our baggage. What galled us most was their attitude and lack of respect, and complete arrogance. Whilst we all accept that safety was first, they did nothing to ease the stresses that the cancellations caused, their staff just hid out of the way.

FRA-CPH-ORD. The plane was 2 hours late because 4 out of 7 toilets were not working, boarding fast and efficient. The plane was quite new and in good shape. Business class seats are not fully flat but comfortable. Excellent wine list and food was good. Overall an enjoyable experience.

CPH-BKK Economy ,smooth and stress free check-in. Inflight entertainment below standard compared to other airlines. Okay selection of movies, but it is not possible to control when you want to watch a movie. Sound quality is lousy - bad headsets. The food onboard was not good, no choice of meals. Breakfast was the worst, bread served was not edible - not heated and is extremely dry. The plane seemed old and worn. Great service from crew despite bad meals and poor entertainment system.

A trip from London to Sweden, a 1½ hour connection flight when we returned to Europe from New Zealand with Qantas. Its amazing how different a travel can be. Even the flight from Auckland to Sydney which is almost equal in length was so much better in all ways comparing to SAS. SAS plane is very old, cabin is more like a bus from the 80's. No entertainment system. Hard seats (somewhat torn) and a messy curtain separating business from the economy class. What is more amazing is when the crew serve breakfast, business class get a meal, the rest of us has to buy it, even if we only want a cup of coffee (2 euro) and guess what - no one buys anything. I guess they will have to throw away the small sandwiches or eat it them self. (By the way - one of the stewards seems to be eating (chewing) at the same time they tried to sell the meals. The worst trip I have done in years. If SAS deserve any kind of rating it should be the lowest ever - I hate the thought of anyone stuck with them on a long haul flight for 10 hours.

I booked a trip on SAS from Copenhagen to Washington Dulles. When approaching Newark after over 12 hours on the plane, the captain informed us that the crew had exceeded certain time limit and therefore the flight would end at Newark rather than at Washington as scheduled. SAS only offered to reschedule trips to those passenger going to places other than Washington. The Washington passengers were placed on buses for and additional 4.5 hours of travel time. SAS refused to offer air travel to Washington even to senior citizens who showed clear signs of exhaustion. Although the in-cabin service was good, dumping passengers before the agreed final destination is outrageous. Needless to say I will never fly on SAS again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

CPH-CDG-CPH. Online check-in and fast baggage drop at CPH. Friendly and efficient staff. Quite old MD-81. I miss the free drinks and snacks, but €120 is a good price for a weekend holiday.

FRA-CPH-NRT return in Business Class. Check in FRA with LH okay, quick and efficient. Short notice plane change from an A321 to a CRJ900 that was obviously packed. Seating is 2x2 and I question why I had business ticket on that leg. No difference to Coach with the exception of free drinks and good food. Both FA's had a bad day, smiling or being friendly was impossible. CPH is a great airport to change, good shops and restaurants and SAS lounge is ok. Food and beverages are way below other Star carriers, but at least it was quiet and comfortable. CPH to NRT was an A340-300. No flat bed but a comfortable angled seat - the product is quite aged and not everything was properly working. IFE very limited. Crew on NRT leg was fantastic. Friendly, quick, always there when you needed something. Food was average. Arrival in NRT was on an outside position, which I never experienced before. It was raining and everything but comfortable, luggage took 45 minutes to deliver and given that immigration was quick a waste of time. Return flights better food on the longhaul, great crew and efficient transfer in CPH. CPH-FRA leg was on an MD80, which I like but is an old plane.

BHX-CPH return. Check in excellent and flights were comfortable enough. I had not flown with SAS for a number of years and I was disappointed that no snacks or non-alcoholic drinks were served on a complimentary basis. I had to ask and wait for a glass of water. SAS seem almost like a no-frills airline.

Malaga-Copenhagen. The plane was an old MD83. The seats were not comfortable, cabin crew was ok. There were no free snacks o served during the almost 4 hours flight. Even cup of coffee cost 3 euros. Unbelievable!
