We went to Dubai with 2 kids and had a bad experience. Onward flight to Doha short staffed,
meals served late and rubbish not picked up. No preference to families with children. Doha
airport a mess. Had a connecting flight in an hour, transit queue was chaos. Return flight -
bassinette promised but we were given centre seats. My wife spent the journey with a kid in
her arms and me with the other one.

Heathrow to Dar-es-salaam return. We were very pleased with the service. Great staff,
entertainment excellent, meals excellent, cabin space very good, clean aircraft and over all
very courteous staff in the air and at Doha airport. We had an hour between planes and had to
go thru security and a 5 hour layover on our flight back - considering number of passengers
and planes arriving, the security process was fast. We found meals at DOH airport were very
expensive - $26 us dollars for fish & chips meal, 3 dollars for bottled water and 8 dollars
for 2 coffees was rather expensive. Duty free shopping was also good.

MAN-DOH-SIN return. First time on Qatar Airways. Checked in online 24 hours before (could not
check in DOH-SIN sector until 36 hours before departure from DOH) but at Manchester airport
bag drop queue had 5 or 6, business has 1 so was directed to an empty econ desk where the
check-in agent tore up our boarding passes and re-checked us in so had to produce original cc
card and FF cards. He then forgot to put priority tags on one bag so it came out with rest of
baggage at SIN. Took 15 minutes - what's the point of checking-in online? Onboard the cabin
attendants on all sectors were friendly and very efficient. I would have liked to see a dinner
on the MAN-DOH sector instead of an indulgence as the menu indicated. This was similar to a
light lunch. What was not acceptable given the cost of business tickets is running out of one
of the 3 choices. IFE screens were large but the choice of films listed not all available on
the A330-300. For some reason the system was started about 15 minutes into the flight on all
sectors. DOH-SIN was brilliant with flat beds and pj's provided meaning a good nights sleep
before being awakened for breakfast.

Johannesburg to Athens via Doha and back. Qatar Airways is a very good airline. The food was
generally very good - but sometimes lacked that something extra special. The inflight
entertainment excellent. The legroom did seem to be better than most airlines. The cabin staff
were good I would say - more so than other airlines I have flown. Something which was
noticably lacking (apart from Doha to Johannesburg) was the pilots were not as interactive as
South African Airways pilots, who tend to do that very well. On our flight out of Johannesburg
to Doha the weather was bad and this really unsettled some passengers nearby to where we were
sitting. I assume the pilots must have known about this and it would have been a good thing to
reassure passengers. All aircraft we flew on were in good shape: A330-200, A321 and A330-300
(this one was particularly in good shape). Doha airport is not the greatest, but lots of
seating and very clean. Watch out for the toilets though - can be in a real mess at times.
Overall Qatar Airways are a great airline, and I would fly them again if the layover was
shorter and once Doha has their new airport.

ATH-DOH-KUL. ATH-DOH flight was uneventful and on time. Doha airport is still under renovation
so a bit chaotic. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to business on the DOH-KUL flight
due to overbooked economy section. Service was good and seats very comfortable. Meal choice
was a bit disappointing but they had fresh fruit and champagne. IFE was good. Would fly them again.

Manchester-Doha-Dubai. Checked in online 36 hours before and printed boarding
passes. Fast bag drop did exactly what it said. Separate desk and no queue.
A330-300, seating 2x4x2 and I was in seat 40C (aisle) towards the rear of the
plane. Its true what other people say about the AVOD box, but I could see that
it wasn't too bad, you could still stretch a leg under the seat in front. Please
be aware that the same applies to aisle seats on the middle section of 4, ie.
seats D and G. Seat pitch, width and comfort excellent for economy. Shortly
after take off the drinks trolley came round. This was followed by lunch coupled
with wine service. Choice of a curry, crab cakes or a vegetarian dish. Good
quality for economy. Inflight entertainment excellent - such a huge choice.
Cabin crew attentive and prompt to requests throughout the flight. I've never
seen a crew work so hard. About 90 minutes before landing, more drinks and a hot
sandwich. Landed ahead of schedule. Doha-Dubai on a 777-300ER. Seating 3x3x3,
space similar to A330. Boarded 45 minutes before take off, which allowed an
early push back. Short flight, in the air 35 minutes. Aircraft half empty. Crew
came round with a sandwich and orange juice. Landed ahead of schedule. My best
economy class experience.

LHR-DOH-BKK return in October. This airline deserves its 5 stars. I flew with my
wife and we both could not fault the crew or staff on any of the sectors. The
food is amazing in choice and presentation and way above any other airlines
business or first class offering, that I have had. The level of service and
attention to detail was outstanding. We always got greeted by name and a
personal introduction from the crew member who would be looking after us.
Nothing was too much trouble. The service was very relaxed but professional. The
business lounge in DOH was fantastic. Again the service and attention to detail
was the same as in the air. We had a delay coming home from BKK which meant a
long stay over of 8 hours instead of 4 in DOH. Once again the staff kept us
informed and did everything they could to make our delay as pleasant as
possible. When we finally boarded the cabin director came round to everyone,
shock our hands, addressed us by name and personally apologised for the delay. I
never think you can give a 10/10 as you can always improve. However we both
agreed that they really do deserve 10 as we could not fault them.

London Heathrow to Bangkok via Doha. Very good flights, there seemed to be more
legroom in the A340 on LHR-DOH leg. The food was excellent except for the
pathetic new cardboard-wrapped hot sandwiches which are served as a snack prior
to arrival. The toilets could have been kept in a better condition, perhaps the
crew neglected this duty on these flights. The lounge (Silver) in Doha is good
for a snack and soft drinks. I will continue to use Qatar airways as I think
that they are the best airline for economy at present.

London to Seychelles and return via Doha - in economy but as I was cashing in
FFP miles that was my choice. Flights on time and to a very high standard and
seats OK, even when you are 6/5 tall as I am. Silver lounge at DOH very useful
and friendly, and airport good quality and not overcrowded.
