PER-SIN-FRA in Business Class. Fast Check in, no flat bed, entertainment system failed from PER to SIN in the 330, and many more times in the B747 from SIN to FRA. It is time for Qantas to upgrade their planes, that 747 was pretty old. Food was eatable, service when available was acceptable, but not to business class standard. An over priced product.

PER-MEL on 767-300. No separate boarding for business class so was a free for all, however Perth airport is undergoing major changes. After boarding we were informed there was a problem with the plane and as per the safety manual we were unable to take off until the problem was rectified. Qantas offered refreshment vouchers and just over an hour later we were able to take off. Staff were very professional, food was great, however the aging 767's with communal TV's are becoming fast redundant. Solid product that could be improved, but this will come as the fleet is upgraded.

LHR-SIN-PER. London to Singapore leg on 747 premium economy. Very good seating and service. Singapore to Perth in economy on A330. Again good service let down by the fact that three, obviously drunk passengers were allowed onto the flight which caused a bit of chaos in the area they were seated.

MEL-PER. I booked the late flight because the fares on the earlier flight were ridiculous. Departed a few minutes late but arrived a few minutes early. Aircraft was a 767 which was old but tidy and comfortable - previously this flight was operated by a 737 which was very uncomfortable for such a long flight. Dull movie, but I guess that's just the luck of the draw - luckily I brought my own entertainment. I ordered vegetarian meal and it was excellent, curry and spicy eggplant and for once they didn't remove the trimmings like chocolate and cheese. Cabin crew were quite friendly and made several runs with water. Very pleased with this flight.

Auckland to Sydney, Qantas-Jetconnect B737-800 Economy. This operator is an attempt I assume by Qantas to save money. I cannot see where it was done. The aircraft was modern with the seat back entertainment. Food excellent with free drinks followed by a choc' ice on a stick. This was provided on a 3 hour flight. Economy Bangkok to Sydney B747. Comfortable seat, Modern back of seat entertainment with up to date movies and music. Food good for economy. The aircraft seemed to be clean and modern.

Heathrow - Singapore - Sydney. Flew on relatively new A380. Cabin service was good overall. A380 features a Help-Yourself snack bar at the rear which was a nice touch and also provides a little space to exercise during the flight. Also provided with a goodie-bag to stave off the munchies between meals. We are both Vegan and had no problems with the meals served which were hot, tasty and quite filling. Good selection of inflight entertainment. Our only slight issue was the very minimal space between seats - I am only 5 feet 8 inches tall but it was a bit cramped to put it mildly. Overall - very happy.

CNS-SYD in Business Class using Frequent Flyer points upgrade. The lounge at CNS airport is a cool way to beat the tropical heat. Cabin crew professional, but not overly engaging. Meal fairly standard, and portions were small given it was a dinner flight. Seat was comfy, but watching the one movie on pull down screens seemed a little dated after having my own IFE unit on the way up with Virgin with a choice of programs. Boeing 737-800 with a toilet at the front, so lots of Economy passengers passing through the Business class cabin to use the loo, and hanging around, stretching their legs while waiting for it to be vacated. Business class flight attendant nowhere to be seen after the meal was served, and ended up having my flight attendant call button answered by a FA in Economy, who gave me a look like I had inconvenienced her by requesting a drink after dinner. Really wanted to end my great holiday in Cairns with a little luxury by coming back in Business Class, but considering I had to buy a more expensive discount airfare that allowed me to upgrade then shell out 15000 points on top of that to travel in Business, I expected a little more. Maybe I'm too fussy? Definitely wouldn't pay out AUS$2000 for the experience.

SYD-EZE business class. Qantas operates its first class cabin as business class on this route, Melbourne-Sydney-Tokyo return. From check in to arrival everything went smoothly. We arrived at the airport early and were moved to an earlier flight. A new A330 MEL-SYD which was nice and older A330 SYD-NRT-SYD which was showing its age but everything worked. Staff were pleasant and food good for an economy flight. We were most satisfied with the experience. Our bags were a few Kg's overweight and they didn't seem to care which is important that the customer service staff allow a little leeway.

SYD-EZE business class. Qantas operates its first class cabin as business class on this route, part of its lower deck business cabin as premium economy and so on due to lack of demand. But they do not announce this, so you can book yourself a first class flatbed online when you choose your seat. The meals etc are business but the service was far superior and friendlier compared to my inbound flight. The lounge in Sydney is okay and undeserving of the bad reviews I saw in the lounges section. I still would not recommend Qantas given the unpredictability of their service, certainly not on Asian routes where there is always a better choice.

SYD-DRW, in business class, I was expecting something better. Seat configuration 2x2 seats, no flat seats, entertainment via drop down screen, food very basic, service acceptable. This apparently is a premium product, with a very high premium price, but very little to offer. Overpriced, try to fly somebody else if possible.

Perth-Melbourne-Sydney-Pert. All trips were good and arrived on time with attentive FA's on the longer flights. ICE older on the trip back to Perth but worked fine. Regular drink services for all in the economy cabin. Good experience.

SYD-SIN Return on A380. Outbound flight very good, staff professional and pleasant, food ex- Sydney excellent for economy. Return flight from SIN was poor. Staff went missing, no menus (told they were only given out in London). The food ex-SIN was terrible, which seems to becoming a theme on this site. Lunch was advertised as fish but in reality was battered fish cocktail pieces that were reheated.

EZE-SYD in business Class, Upper deck. I echo the previous reviewers comments for this sector. Lackadaisical and pompous cabin crew, no inflight bar set up contrary to what the website advertises as the product offering. The seat is terrible, old-generation angled lie flat seat with a big gap near the lower back. I suspect Qantas is taking advantage of the fact that this sector is a near monopoly with only the horrendous Aerolinas Argentinas in competition. MY suggestion to those (like me) who connect from Brazil or elsewhere - use LAN via Santiago.

EZE to SYD in Business Class. Departure delayed by 40 minutes. Looking forward to this non stop flight, as normally I would fly via SCL. Disappointed when I noticed that the Sky Bed is not a flat bed. Then the entertainment system failed, failed and failed again. Food selection and servings not my taste at all. Service from Qantas personal was either not there or more like in a rude manner.
