BUE-MVD-SCL roundtrip. Check-in was uneventful, plane was nice/clean. All flights segments were late by about 10 minutes. Ground crew in MVD not too functional with gate info. Flight attendants were great, flight experience great, website is easy to use/straight-forward. I would fly again, but not if I have time constraints - this was a leisure trip so no rush.

MVD-AEP very nice experience. Very comfortable Bombardier CJ900, convenient connecting schedules and punctuality. Decent snack menu to be purchased on board. Pluna is the only non- Argentina airline operating from Aeroparque, Buenos Aires domestic city airport (as opposed to Ezeiza international 40 minutes away from downtown).

AEP-MVD-AEP in Y. Took a very short flight from Aeroparque (Buenos Aires) to Montevideo. The flight going was delayed due to fog at MVD and was 2 hours late. Staff did their best to keep passengers informed in Spanish and English. Once we got going the flight was very smooth and fast (30 minutes). Since you pre-clear Uruguayan customs at Aeroparque, upon arrival you collect your bags and head to the exit. The return flight was just as easy. The only complaint was that on the outbound flight the safety announcements were made in Spanish and were attempted in English. The flight attendant really mangled the script. She struggled to get through the presentation. If you really wanted to understand what was being said, you would need English sub-titles to get the jist of what she was trying to say. Words flowed into each other and she gave new meaning to the run-on sentence. The captain however, spoke English clearly. Apart from this, the staff were very professional, helpful, and courteous. The airplane was tidy and the seats were as comfortable as a CRJ-900 can be.

GRU-MVD-AEP-MVD-GIG. Connecting in Montevideo is a breeze, new, comfortable planes. Crew rather formal but helpful and smiling. Sandwiches, snacks and drinks were served on GRU-MVD and MVD-GIG legs. On flights between Montevideo and Buenos Aires you have to pay for food and drinks, however the flight time is around 30 minutes so nobody really bothers. Flying out of Brazil you can check in one piece of luggage free of charge, on all other flights there is a charge of $20 per suitcase, however you can avoid that by checking in online (At least that was the case when flying out of Argentina). TIP: If online check in doesn't work (like it happened to us) make sure you take a printout of a fault screen with you to the airport - it's to prove for check in staff that you intended to check yourself in so they won't charge you for luggage. (We didn't know that). Overall very solid service with an interesting mini-hub at MVD, would fly PLUNA again. Also the fact that they fly into AEP rather than EZE is also a huge advantage for me. Pluna was over $100 cheaper than all the competition - TAM, GOL and Aerolineas on this particular routing.

Buenos Aires - Sao Paolo roundtrip via Montevideo. Very convenient flights from Buenos Aires Aeroparque (domestic + regional airport). New Bombardier CJ900, modern equipment. Purchased Premium Pass ($50) which included free baggage allowance, VIP lounge and first row seat. Decent snack and attentive crew.

Aeroparque (Buenos Aires) to Sao Paulo and return. Excellent experience, short transit time in Montevideo. I did web check in easily waving the USD 20 for my baggage. The same aircraft as Lufthansa Cityline (CRJ 900), brand new and nice staff. The best part is the value for money. I travelled directly from Buenos Aires downtown to Sao Paulo for half of the price of a flight from Ezeiza (Buenos Aires international airport) and from a much more convenient location. It is way much better than Aerolineas Argentina and Gol and is catching up with LAN.

Buenos Aires - Montevideo as well. I would give two stars to Pluna on this short flight, because it is still better than Aerolineas Argentinas... No frills, no smiles, and don't expect more than an orange juice, but planes are cleaner. And less noisy.

Buenos Aires-Montevideo-Buenos Aires short flight. Newly adopted 20$ baggage fee for each item were never communicated, nor is shown on the ticket. For the return flight tried to check-in online (they advertise with free baggage at web check-in), but web check-in didn't work, returning the weird message "only following cities enabled web check-in: Montevideo, Buenos Aires" - won't ever understand. Further the website is only available in Spanish. Hotline didn't answered the call. Check-in staff was after this incident with the web check-in rude and uncooperative.

AEP-PDP with Pluna. The short flight was comfortable and on time, and we liked the new regional jets - they compare very well with the ancient 737s that the competitor (Aerolineas Argentinas) uses. The only downside is that they have adopted some aspects of the low cost business model, including a steep US$20 charge per item of checked luggage. Apparently you can avoid this charge you check in online but we were not told this when buying the ticket.

Poor experience on outbound flight AEP-PDP but amends made by PU station manager. all Center said note would be made that my wife needed extra assist down escalator from gate to bus on departure and in PDP. This confirmed at check in but gate agent brushed us aside claiming no one informed her. At plane side PU Station Manager said he would inform PDP and that we would be met and assisted. No one showed up and my wife hurt herself getting on and off transfer bus with unreasonably high steps. On return trip PU couldn't have been more helpful, offering us lounge passes and arranging golf cart transfer to planeside. Otherwise PUs new Canadian jets are a pleasure to fly aboard after the airline phased out ATRs and Boeing 737s. PU now have a $20 per checked bag charge but it was waived on our return after our outbound trip snafus.

Buenos Aires-Pta del Este - terrible. More than 4 hours waiting at the airport without any explanation. Customer service inexistent or worse, very bad mood. Offices in Pta del Este gave different lies as explanations. Really, a company with good performance in some weeks of the year during low season. High season flies just pray for not having hours of delays and lies.

MAD-MVD in Economy with Pluna. Lucky enough to have the only empty seat in the whole Economy cabin next to me. Seat pitch very good. Flight crew attentive. There was a very old man seating close to me and the crew actually helped him fill the immigration form. I thought they really did a great service during the whole flight. Left gate on time, but 5 minutes later we were told we had to come back to the gate due to a mechanical problem. We ended leaving 1 hour 15 minutes late, but I prefer that than having had to make an emergency landing somewhere to fix the problem. Food was actually great though it was so late at night that I was not very hungry. Breakfast was very good as well. Much better than in many other airlines. Only bad thing is you cannot get any miles for this trip but I´d fly Pluna again.

Buenos Aires (AEP) to Punta del Este (PDP) and return in Economy. Both journeys, on a 737-200, were fine. The South American airlines' ubiquitous cheese & ham sandwich was served on the return. However, both our flight times were changed several times (one by around 12 hours). Even after re-confirming, there was a further change notified just a few hours later. Just view Pluna's timetable as a vague stab in the dark at when you may or may not travel, and you'll be fine.

Buenos Aires to Punta del Este 31 Aug and return. Aircraft is a small 47-pax ATR turboprop but fairly comfortable for a 50 minute flight. They serve a small sandwich and beverage on this short trip. Both flights on time, flawless baggage handling at both ends. Aeroparque is a pleasure to fly from but other than flights to Uruguay, only offers service to Argentine domestic points. Punta del Este´s airport looks like a miniature Dulles International in Washington, DC - it only gets a few flights a day from Brazil and Argentina so is never crowded yet offers a full range of services including a nice duty-free. All-in-all very pleased with PLUNA service on this short route and will try to use them in future on longer trips.

Buenos Aires (Aeroparque) to Punta del Este and return. The flight to PDP left at 12:30 and we were served a hot ham and cheese sandwich , along with a beverage service. From PDP to AEP,our flight left at 500PM and we were served an ice cream snack, along with a beverage service. Both flights are short (45 minutes). On the return, Boeing 737-200 was full and yet 4 FA's managed to do the service with a smile. Due to a snowstorm, the flights from EZE to JFK were cancelled and American Airlines re-booked me to JFK via Dallas on American Airlines. In contrast to PLUNA, on a three hour flight from DFW to JFK, leaving at lunchtime, AA only served offered beverages (I ended with a cup of coffee and a small glass of ginger ale). No food was offered at all. On the PLUNA flights, FAs' were young and enthusiastic whereas on the American flights were all tired looking.

I travel 4 to 6 times a year GRU-MVD-GRU. Virtually always delayed flights (from 45 minutes to 4 hours in my worst experience) with no information provided by staff for reasons for delay, status, expected time of departure or otherwise. Delays are worst on National hollidays in Uruguay or Brazil (I suspect they add flights beyond the fleet capability). Things have worsened in the last 6 months or so. One one occasion a not scheduled stop in PDP was only announced once we took off from MVD on what it was supposed to be a direct flight to GRU. Absolute lack of respect to clients is the standard. Unfortunately no other option on this route. Planes are reasonable, staff attentive. If other option in this route appears in the future I would certainly give it a try, it is almost impossible to be less reliable.

MVD-BUE-MBD C class. Although a very short flight, leaving from the very convenient J Newbery Airport in BUE, rather old Boeing 737-200, earlier part of the Varig's fleet, good service and attentive staff. All in all, best option in this air route. Would recommend. Other options need to go to EZE, which is far out, dangerous and expensive ride.
