LGW-ARN return. Very impressed by Norwegian: on-time both ways; friendly crew; new planes; free wifi; easy check-in. All at a competitive price.

LGW-CPH. Very efficient check-in that allows you to select your own seats - I was lucky enough to get row 1 window seat, with extra legroom. Efficient boarding - watch out though, gate closes 15 minutes before scheduled take off. Comfortable seats, well presented, professional crew. Onboard menu looked fine, chose to sleep instead of using the free wi-fi. Bags in hall immediately. Overall pretty much faultless as a low cost airline, comparable to SAS economy class but free wifi is a major plus. At £47, including a bag in the hold, I have no complaints whatsoever.

Rome-Stockholm-Oslo B787-800. No direct service FCO-OSL on several days during winter period. The problem is ignorant staff at Rome Airport (FCO). They insist you pick up your luggage in Stockholm and transfer it to check-in for your next flight to Oslo. The staff at FCO seem clueless about regulations, and when you question incorrect information, they brush you off and refuse to listen. The result is confused passengers in Stockholm waiting for luggage - which of course does not show up, but is correctly transferred to the Oslo flight. Both flights were on time, and onboard staff friendly enough. One aircraft had free WiFi, which is great. Though the unnecessary hassle created by the ignorant staff in Rome reduces the experience as a whole.

LGW-CPH. Some problems with self check-in, but helpful assistance close at hand. Pre-reserved seats at a reasonable price, efficient boarding, newish 737-800 with Recaro seats and good legroom, plus friendly crew: all made for a really pleasurable flight. This is the model for all low cost airlines. And EasyJet shouldn't quibble about assigned seating delaying turn-around times. From arrival at gate to doors closing for departure took 30 minutes for a full passenger load. Highly recommended!

OSL-TOM-KKN. Check-in kiosk and bag drop at Oslo is very good. B737-300 comfortable enough for these short flights.

Helsinki-Gatwick return. Check-in was fast and efficient including bag-drop. Aircraft on both legs was clean though as with all airlines boarding suffers from people trying to place too large baggage into overhead lockers. Onboard free-Wifi is a huge plus, though does tend to suffer from outages and can be slow. Allocated seating makes the initial rush onboard much more "civilised". Seats on the 737-800 were the same as any other economy class product and leg room should be fine for all except the tallest. Crew were attentive but less social than some airlines but you are spared the hard sell of Ryanair. Flipdown screens provide a film/programmes during the flight. Food onboard was adequate but a little on the expensive side, however the quality tends to be much better than "food" supplied by traditional full-fare carriers. Flights were both on time and went without problems.

Man-OSL-MAN. Outbound on brand new 737-800 with sky interior. Lovely aircraft which was spotless, service was good and cabin crew good. Onboard sales quite cheap compared to usual low cost airlines. Inbound on an old 737-300 with new leather seats but was really noisy. Cabin crew were surly and never smiled. They all stood for 20 mins at the forward galley chatting before commencing the service. A fellow passenger had a nose bleed and crew didn't bother assisting him. Overall would fly with them again.

Bergen - Oslo Rygge. Very comfortable flight, with more than adequate seats and pitch for a short haul flight. There is no cabin service as flight is only 40-50 minutes long but flight attendants were very friendly before take-off and after landing. Would certainly recommend.

LGW-ARN return. Flight was late departing from both Gatwick and Arlanda. Once onboard, the cabin crew were very polite and professional and smiling. Aircraft interior clean and modern. The leather seats are a little too hard, but ok for 2:15 hrs flight. I think the value for money on this flight is good. My only complaint is that they do not enforce the hand luggage restrictions. Boarding and disembarking the aircraft took ages both times because people were bringing suitcases as hand luggage, so people were walking up and down the aisle looking for somewhere to stow their bag. The guy sitting behind me even brought a guitar on as hand luggage, so there was no room in the luggage bin above my seat for anyone else.

LLA-ARN in Economy. Modern 737-800, clean and comfortable, leather seats, good legroom, (at least in the first rows). Boarding completed 15 minutes ahead of schedule, as was arrival. Now just waiting for Wifi to be present in all Norwegian aircrafts.

Aalborg-Palma de Mallorca. Group of six. At the airport we chose our seat in row 2. Excellent seat pitch, and a great price with 1 piece of luggage checked. Very nice crew, punctual flight and we arrived in Palma with 10 mins early. Food and drinks for purchase.

LGW-HEL return. Very good value compared to other carriers. Impressed with the service and I find Gatwick considerably easier to deal with than Heathrow. Brand new and immaculate 737-800s used on both legs, was surprised to use free wi-fi onboard on the outbound leg. Not bothered by having to check-in at a machine and label my own check-in luggage.

Berlin-Oslo, 737-800 with new Dreamliner style interior. This airline departs from Schönefeld airport, a very strange and messy airport terminal. The whimsical staff at the airport managed to display "Final boarding, gate closing" on the screens before the aircraft had even arrived. Flight was delayed for 30 mins, with no apologies or announcements/information of any kind. The brand new aircraft is bright and nice. I was in row 5 and found legroom to be very good for a low cost carrier. The plastic and leather seats, though, are hard as rock. Forward lavatory was out of order so a long queue formed in the rear of the plane. Cabin crew were friendly and efficient.

OSL-HEL-OSL. Outward flight was OK, even in the ageing 737-300. More than 30 mins queue for baggage drop (not check-in) in Helsinki is not acceptable. Only a couple of desks in use, and with poorly trained staff. It of course ended with a delay. Luggage delivery in Oslo was slow, so this was a very bad experience for a relatively high price.

London Gatwick-Copenhagen. Have used Norwegian a few times now and have found them very good on every occasion. Check in at Gatwick is a bit poor but that is mainly due to the desk location. Very cramped and busy, not nearly enough room. Service is friendly and my last trip over was a new plane. Only 1.5 hr flight but very comfortable. Will definitely use them again, shame they can't take over EasyJet's time slots from LGW. They win hands down over them and the prices are almost the same.

I have flown (Warsaw-Stavanger-Warsaw) with Norwegian 4 times and I am satisfied. There were no significant delays. 2 times the plane was new and really comfortable and during the rest flights planes were older but also quite comfortable. Staff-depends on flight but generally was OK. Norwegian is not the cheapest airline but what I like is the fact that there is not high additional costs that you have to pay after reservation.

CPH-LGW with checked-in baggage. I used self-service check-in. Baggage drop-off was efficient, I was slightly delayed when boarding, because staff wasn't sure if I can use my National ID when flying to the UK (just small note, immigration officer at CPH checked my ID and boarding pass just two minutes before that and cleared me). Legroom is restricted, aircrafts seemed old, but crew was nice. Drinks were overcharged. It wasn't bad flight, however, next time I'll prefer other company when possible, unless Norwegian offers smaller price than on this flight.

Edinburgh to Stockholm. Thought it was pretty good. New looking 737-800, seat selection makes it much better than other low cost airlines and staff and coffee were fine. Saves about 4 hours compared to going through a connecting airport so would definitely use it again.

Never have I sat in a plane with legroom shorter then my legs. I am 183cm tall, and no man on that flight as tall as me could put his legs directly forward. Only option was to spread your legs and have two pieces of metal bump into your knees or sit twisted to one side. And it was not worth any savings. Norwegian Air should warn people about the discomfort and in my opinion, possible dangers such a restricted environment could cause.

OSL-ORY B737-800. Comfortable leather seats with reasonable legroom - I paid 60NOK for seat pre-selection. No online check-in so had to use the self-service machines at Oslo central station - a convenient option. Food and drinks for purchase - good coffee, but muffins were tiny and unappetizing. Informative cockpit crew, friendly stewardesses. Arrival in Orly much more convenient than CDG.

Oslo to Tromso return. The journey to Tromso was a new 737, good service and no delays. On the way home, it was an older 737, not as comfortable, still good service and no delays. Cheap tickets, around 90-100 euros.
