Pleiku to Hanoi. Somewhat superior experience to flying Vietnam Airlines. Ample buffet served prior to departure. Aircraft cabin comfortable and clean. Flight attendants friendly although in my opinion only marginally more so than Vietnam Airlines. Major problem was retrieving luggage in Hanoi. Took quite a while and lots of confusion. However, I would choose Air Mekong on most domestic routes.

Hanoi-to Buon Me Thuot. Good service, signage, easy to check-in. The trip was 1 hr 24 mins and was a pleasure, though aircraft was full (some 90 passengers). They served a mealbox with a heavy, tasty sandwich. 2 drink rounds (soft drinks only). Got another sandwich after inquiring. Staff smiling and obviously in a good mood. Flight punctual and luggage out swiftly. Due to rain passengers was offered umbrella service when descending the aircraft. Altogether a pleasant, refreshing experience.

HAN-SGN : Check in was slightly confusing as one desk handled tickets and another checked-in baggage but it worked smoothly. Plane almost new, clean with comfortable seats and, for a domestic flight, excellent leg room. Flight on time. Cabin crew served light meal and plenty of tea/coffee and soft drinks. Overall an excellent flight and something quite unusual in Vietnam - efficient cabin crew who were friendly and smiled.
