Nouakchott to Las Palmas, 21/07/2006. The flight was scheduled to leave at 1630hrs and the aircraft for this flight was due in from Dakar
at 1530 so, by 1600, with no aircraft on the ground, it was clearly going to be late. No information
whatsoever was given to passengers in the departure lounge, and I had to get somebody from the local
office in Nouakchott to ring up Air Mauritanie to find out what was happening.
Binter Canarias is starting on the LPA-NKC route next month, so there are no prizes for guessing
which airline I will fly with in future.

BKO-ABJ. Aircraft serving Flight MR163 leaving on Mondays apparently
spends the night at BKO. Departure and arrival on time. Nice aircraft
(737-700). Not yet really dirty inside but seems that cabin cleaning
standards are rather on the low side. No announcements in English - only
Arabic and French. No inflight magazine.
