Business Class firstly to and from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur on A330-300. One of my criticisms is that
when you pull out the tray to eat, on both flights it was dirty with crumbs and spilt drinks. The food is
terrible, on the flight from KUL to MEL at noon, an 8 hr flight, we were offered a brunch, starters followed by
a choice of Spanish omelette, Nasi Lemak, mixed grill or banana pancake. Having picked the mixed grill which
looked like it has been thrown on the plate. Before we landed we were offered Malaysian Satay, these were
the best of the four flights. Our flights to and from London were on the new A380 which was very nice, clean
and comfortable. Staff of these legs were nice, but the food not much better. We purchased Malaysia Airlines
because of their price at the time of booking and also because they were partners with Virgin. I feel they
could make an effort to improve the cleanliness of the planes and in particular the food.

MH148 Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur Airbus 330. MH 002 Kula Lumpur to London Boeing 747. The first leg of our
journey was in a relatively new Airbus A330 seated in two seats together on left side of the aircraft.
Comfortable seating with more than normal leg room. Entertainment good with good size personal screen.
Meals were pretty good; the service excellent. Flight left 30 minutes late, but arrived in KL on time. The
second leg to London was on an older 747 Jumbo, seats were two together in middle row of four. Seats were
narrower than on the Airbus, but leg room was still good compared with competition. Meal service was again
pretty good and the service again excellent. In flight entertainment (programme) was the same as our first
leg, although personalized screens were the older, smaller version common to older Boeing aircraft. The
flight departed on time and arrived in London about 30 minutes early.

MH 149 Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne (27 August 2012) Airbus A330. We were fortunate to have two seats
together in the first row of the Economy Class cabin, in the left hand side of the aircraft (Seats 11 A & C).
These seats provided us with excellent personal space and extended leg room as there were no other seats
in front of us. Seat comfort good. The meal service was good (late dinner and breakfast) and the service
provided by the cabin crew was excellent. In flight entertainment was good with good size personalized
screens. The plane departed on time and arrived on time.

MH 017 Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur - Boeing 777 23 Aug 2012. We were lucky enough to have two seats
together in the right hand side of the aircraft. The middle section contains a row of five seats, which in my
view is not good for long haul flights, meaning someone will most likely have to crawl over you to get out of
their seat to go to the toilet etc. Seats were comfortable enough with ample leg room (more than most
airlines). In flight entertainment was good with personalized screens, although smaller than on newer
aircraft. Meals were only average but the service provided by the cabin crew was excellent who were more
than happy to provide any assistance requested. The flight left on time and arrived on time.

Flew from LAX to Narita, Japan and back. Interior of the B777-200 looked very worn and the inseat TVs are
archaic. My TV on the flight to Narita had lines of black across the middle of the screen. One of the overhead
compartments on the flight from Narita to LAX squeaked any time the plane bounced. It was a little
disconcerting. Blankets and pillows were provided to each seat but were well worn. Food was surprisingly
good and the crew wasn't stubborn in providing snacks and refreshment. Attendants were constantly walking
the cabin offering water, sodas, juice, and wine. Plenty of movies and current TV shows are available. Seats
were much more comfortable than I'd expected. If the interiors were renovated this airline would be amazing.
Regardless of the raggedy feel, I'd recommend this airline to anyone looking for a good deal on flights to
Asia. I was very pleased.

LHR-KUL-AKL. LHR-KUL on a fairly old 747, KUL-AKL on 777. All 4 of the meals served were tasty, especially
the Malaysian shrimp that appeared as a breakfast on both legs. Flight attendants very attentive, making
regular passages through the cabin with soft drinks, beer, water. IFE was better than many airlines - plenty
of TV shows to help pass the time. Seats were good, always nice to get that flexible headrest so you can rest
your head on one side. The airport at Kuala Lumpur is nice in that its size ensures that it never appears too
busy - there's plenty of little corridors containing seating and shops. For a sample of Malay cuisine whilst
passing through, I'd thoroughly recommend the Satay Club on the upper level. They claim the Satay dishes
are their speciality and it's hard to argue having tried one. All in all a positive experience and I would have
no problems flying Malaysia again on this long route.

Very disappointed after all the hype surrounding this airline. Flew CDG-KUL and KUL-BNE in economy.
The first leg, on a 777-200 was the worst, as it featured an old, charmless cabin, with extremely
uncomfortable seats, terrible food selection, and poor beverage choice. Video system was old, poor resolution
screen, with a limited selection of movies and very few recent ones. The second part of the trip was a bit
better, on an A330, with a newer cabin, better video system. But same poor food/drink offering. Particularly
appalled by lack of bottled water. Other airlines serve bottled and have better beverage selection anyway.
Toilets not very clean, smelly, staff OK but nothing exceptional.

This is probably my 4th trip with MH from KUL-Saigon on economy. Have flown the morning, afternoon and
evening flight. Cabin staffs service was generally good. Can feel there is a sense of re-new motivation and
hospitality compared to my 1st flight back in April 2012. Food wise, it has been the same menu but taste and
portion was good for a less than 2 hours flight. Most sectors were on B737-800 with inflight video. Cabin is
clean and well maintained.

Flight from FRA - KUL on a 777 in Business class. Lounge in FRA is the Cathay Pacific Lounge - Medium sized,
no WiFi, limited food and drink selection. Plane interior looked a bit old and used. On my seat the armrest
was damaged - I could take it off from the seat - but I was lucky it stayed on the seat during the flight.
Personal monitors in the seat are medium-small sized. Seat can be turned into an angled bed - length of the
seat is for people up to 188 cm sufficient, the width is a bit narrow. Amenity kit is nothing special and it does
not contain a sleeping mask. Cabin crew was nice and helpful. Food and beverages were also good. Overall it
was all ok and value for money.

767 on 22 August 2012 from Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL). Flight delayed almost 1 hour due
to bad weather at Saigon. We are really disappointed with Malaysia Airlines aircraft, 737-800 with no in-flight
entertainment. Meal served was very low standard compared to other 5 star airlines. Please upgrade your
product and do not focus more on your A380 only.

KUL-LHR. An old 747 from KL to London in the morning. Flight late on departure but made up the schedule.
We had 3 seats for the 2 of us so could stretch out a bit. In flight entertainment on the 12 hours was
sufficient. Having flown with Malaysia a few times, the thing that stands out is that the crew are genuinely
friendly and it it makes up for the tired interior etc. Overall, left the flight feeling happy and ready to start
my holiday. Definitely recommend this airline.

Flew Penang (PEN) to LHR via KUL 15-16 August 2012. Economy on MH1167 and MH002. Checkin at PEN was
fast, no queue 1 hour before. Checked through to LHR. MH1167 was trouble-free. Sat in row 15. The 737-800
had a few movies, but in 45 mins there is little time to watch one. Connection at KUL included a long walk,
monorail and security, but the one hour sufficed as advised by check-in staff at PEN. MH002 was a new 380.
Boarding was as fast (or faster) than 340s I've flown. Sat in row 54, aisle seat in the centre [config is 3-4-3]
I had been concerned about comfort given earlier reviews, but seat was soft enough for me and I got sleep
overnight. Seats are wide and legroom seemed better than 340. Recline pushes legs forward but full recline
worked OK for me. New AVOD is good, but they need to get a few more recent movies on there. Cabin staff
felt a bit brusque to me. They distributed pre-poured beverages (juice/water/beers) and pour you a beaker of
wine with dinner. The omelette breakfast choice not so good, nor the tea, maybe the Malaysian fare was
better. Took off a little late, landed on time, disembarked quickly. Enjoyed first experience of A380.

Very impressed, the food was fabulous, the seats comfortable for sleeping and relaxing and the
entertainment systems were superb. On the way to Paris from KL, the service was the best I've experienced.
However on the returning flight, staff were not so nice which was disappointing after the first leg and after
hearing great things about MA customer service.

SYS-KUL return in June. Outbound entertainment system in our seats did not work nor did the overhead
lights so we could not read, watch a movie etc on 8 hour overnight flight. Our party of 6 were seated 10 rows
apart. As the flight was full they could not move us to sit together nor to seats with working lights and TV's.
Return flight - 2 pax this time - they did not sit us together as they were full. Husband sat next to an
unaccompanied minor all the way home and I sat next to a lone traveller as well. They would not move the 5
year old so we could sit together and the guy next to me wanted a window.

Several 2-3 hour return flights in June-July 2012 (KUL-DPS, KUL-HCMC and KUL-BKK). All flights full but no
delays whatsoever, tasty hot meals with generous drink rounds (incl. wine and beer) provided, excellent
service on the ground and in the air and all planes (A330-300 and B737-800) in very good condition. The only
minor gripe was that not all B737-800's are fitted with IFE and the legroom in the newest B737-800's is quite
limited, but we felt we got quality on all flights that we can only dream of on flights in Europe today.
Fantastic value.
