Adelaide-KL return Business. Being travelling on this route for a number of years now.
Nothing new to report except a special thanks to the cabin crew in particular Ken who noticed
my dry coughs and surprised me with an extra soothing hot honey lemon drink which did the
trick of calming my throat and then came back to offer more. Excellent service throughout both
legs.

ICN-KUL A330. Check-in service was smooth. The plane was clean. FA was professional expect one
Korean crew. The food was fine. Seat was comfortable with wide legroom. The entertainment
system was quite nice. However, there was no AVOD system. It was 6hrs+ flight. Anyway, I
recommend fly MAS.

KUL-BKK-KUL, 5 pax traveling. Checked in online, got our desired seats and ,made our journey
to the airport only to find the bag drop off desk with a long queue with no clear signboard or
directions in the airport pointing it out to passengers. Then came the long queue at
immigration (it was a holiday weekend), but got to the gate on time, boarded quickly by seat
numbers and help was offered to passengers with children and the elderly which was nice. Once
onboard, the service was faultless, excellent hot meal albeit small portions. Good supply of
alcohol and beverages. My only gripe was that there were not enough staff on board to serve
meals so it takes a long time to be served and by the time you get your coffee, it is lukewarm
and they don't seem to understand that white wine is served chilled. Crew were pleasant and
helpful, good announcements from the cockpit, safety instructions were clear and concise.
Check in at Bangkok much better but return flight was delayed but this was communicated to us
at check in. The downside was the poor ground service at KLIA, cramped seats in economy and
old aircraft. Having said all that, for the price we paid they did a good job but it would be
nice for MAS to pay attention to some of the little details on the ground that make travel less stressful.

I have just returned from my 7th flight with Malaysian Airlines in Economy class to Kuala
Lumpur and onwards to Langkawi. Outbound was lucky, my friend and I had 3 seats between us as
the flight was not full. Took off on time, shortly followed by peanuts and drinks. Dinner was
delicious (chicken Biriyani). The movie selection was good, leg room on Malaysian is the best
I have flown. The toilets were kept clean throughout the flight. The crew were friendly and
efficient. If I was going to be picky I would say that Malaysia Airlines need to invest in
some new aircraft.

LHR-KUL-SYD and return. Flight to KUL on time but a 12 hour delay in KUL to SYD - no reason
given for delay and told to go to downtown KUL to lose a bit of time. Coming back supposed to
depart SYD in the evening we have to leave the next morning.the same thing awaited us in KUL
more delays.we were put in hotels for the last two legs of our journey but would rather have
been on our way home - airline needs to get its act together plus newer planes the 747 400 we
were on were a little bit worn and dated but has stated earlier the inflight service was very
good.

LHR-KUL-YGN and return. Good flight out in lightly loaded plane LHR-KUL, row of three seats to
myself and excellent customer service and food. KUL-YGN and return also good in well loaded
flights. Return flight KUL-LHR around an hour and a half late departing due to waiting for
connecting flights, with a much lower level of customer service on almost full flight. It
would seem that with a good crew and a lightly loaded plane you are OK, but on a heavily
loaded flight you take a chance with the level of service.

Kuala Lumpur - Melbourne on well-maintained 777-20. Really suprised with the generous legroom
and found the seat comfortable. First meal served in good portion and tasty too. However, the
breakfast was a bit too small. IFE decent but not with the best selections like other
airlines. Cabin crew were professional. Overall very impressed with MH's onboard service.
However, had some issues with MH's call centre for a few times to change my flights. I found
the operators quite rude and always needed to be on hold for about 10-15 minutes before they
answer you! As a 5-star airlines not even allow customers to manage their bookings online was
a shame.

SYD-KUL-CDG return on B777-200. Great cabin service and consistent throughout all flights.
Excellent choice of meals (3 on each flight). Very comfortable seats with generous legroom and
recline. Good IFE. Flights mostly on time. Excellent value for money.

AMS-KUL-LGK, return. Very nice and friendly cabin crew. AVOD, good food. No menu card or
spirits in economy on 12h 30 min flight - thats not a 5-star airline, but value for money.

LHR-KUL return, economy class, November 2009. Malaysia Airlines recently moved to T4 at
Heathrow which I find to be a much improved experience over the now packed T3. A warm welcome
aboard, a good meal choice with choices of western and Malay dishes and a drinks service,
repeated with trays of drinks every 45 minutes or so for the 12 hour flight to KL. An initial
tray of peanuts where you are invited to take more than 1 packet should you choose is a good
start. The seats on the outbound aircraft were showing signs of wear and tear but are
comfortable. The on demand IFE system works, although the miniature screens are difficult to
watch. With an arrival into Kuala Lumpur and reasonably timely baggage delivery, the Malaysia
Airlines experience is excellent and one I would recommend.

KUL-MEL-KUL in Economy class on B777-200. KUL-MEL on a night flight. Boarding was fast,
greeted by crew and shown to seat. After take-off, peanuts and headsets were given out.
Shortly after supper was served, the flight experienced heavy turbulence and hot drinks were
not served due to weather conditions. Cabin crew tried their best to serve meals despite that.
Food portion was noticeably reduced and rather lukewarm but still flavourful. Inflight
entertainment accessed from personal video screen found on the seat in front provided an
adequate choice to keep boredom at bay. Breakfast served upon arrival was forgettable as it
was cold and many passengers just picked at it. MEL-KUL (1-hr transit in CGK) on a full-load
midnight flight. Supper was served shortly after take-off and interestingly, the aircraft
experienced turbulence again and hot drinks were not served. A passenger whom I assumed did
not get the announcement, requested a hot drink from a stewardess and was told curtly, "We are
not serving hot drinks." On both flights, I did notice that the cabin crew adopted a laid-back
attitude and weren't enthusiastic so I think their standard for Best Cabin Staff was
compromised. Overall, the experience is pleasant as the flights arrived on time, the inflight
service was adequate and as I paid USD410 (promotional rate) for the return trip, it is indeed
value for money.
