FRA to PHL. Despite the fact that the seating is cramped and only a few video screens scattered
around the cabin, this 9 hour flight was comfortable thanks to the service of the cabin crew. The
four that we came in contact with during the flight were friendly, attentive, patient and smiling!
And this on a full flight just before New Years Eve! Food was ok, drinks plentiful. If Lufthansa
could offer economy passengers a little more personal space (and a personal video screen which is
pretty much standard on every other airline!) then this would be a top airline. Also encountered
fantastic service at the Transfer centre in Frankfurt. Attentive and friendly lady who went way out
of her way to help us, and then left me a message at the gate upon boarding to update me on her
efforts!

MUC-LAX on A340-300. Crew very friendly and attentive, made several rounds with water and beverages.
Meals economy standard, seat pitch very good for economy. I didn't really miss
personal video screens. Overall a very nice flight experience.

LHR-FRA-EZE return, overall - long haul good, short haul need to improve. LHR-FRA on A320, left 1
hour late due to a messy check in at T2 but still managed to catch a connecting flight in FRA, as
it's only 1,5h flight food is 1 sandwich but still, free drinks and wine - nice. FA nice and
attentive. FRA-EZE on B747, an ageing one but clean, left on time, no personal screens hence no on-
demand entertainment, overhead screens, nice blanket and pillow, food good and plenty free drinks
and alcohol - great wine! FA's again nice and helpful. EZE-FRA same as above except FA serving our
sector was obviously not enjoying her job. FRA-LHR again - once on board we were informed that due
to a technical problem we have to change the aircraft what took us 1hr.

LHR-FRA Business Class. No issues with check-in. Although I think in Australia and Asia we are
somewhat spoilt with our business class lounges as most of the ones in Europe (not just LH) seem to
have a very basic fit out. Cabin crew during flight were very friendly. Food service was also very
good for a short haul business class segment. Happy to fly with LH again in the future.

BOM-FRA-DEN on New Year's Eve in Business and very underwhelmed. BOM-FRA efficient but FRA-DEN was
poor for Business Class. Crew boarded Business and Economy at the same time creating a chaotic and
frenzied boarding process. Slow preflight service. Overhead flight status not activated until one
hour into the flight. Inflight Entertainment system not started until one hour into flight. No
menus until just before meal time. No order taking, just a choice when the cart rolled by. Meals
served on trays from a cart. Flatware wrapped in plastic instead of in napkins. No spoons.
Incredibly, LH offers knives and sporks to Business Class pax! This is a ten hour flight with lunch
and snack. Preflight drinks accompanied by nuts in small bags. All courses pre-plated. Lunch
consisted of a small dried up roulade, small salad with soggy croutons and cheap dressing in a
plastic cup, main of goose and a shriveled dessert cake. Snacks between the meals were bags of
pretzels and a scowl from FAs. 2nd meal looked unappetizing I passed.

We flew to Cairo from Houston last week and back. Houston-Frankfurt on a new A340-600 and Frankfurt-
Cairo sector was on an old A300-600. Despite the A340 being a new plane, we felt that the A300 had
more comfortable leather seats. I was surprised to see no personal entertainment system on any
airplane. A300 didn't even have a common TV screen for a movie! The crew were friendly and
efficient. A340 toilets smelt a little before take off from Frankfurt, but seem to clear up after a
little while - can't tell if the smell really went away or our senses adapted to it. We appreciated
the water bottle, ear plugs, eye shade and socks provided on the FRA-CAI-FRA sector. But was
surprised not to find it on the IAH-FRA-IAH sector. We had requested a Hindu meal. This was mostly
okay - though it was obvious that on flights originating from FRA, the chef had no idea what an
Indian would expect in the meal - like rice or Indian bread. And, they served Fish for breakfast!
The taste of the dishes was exactly how a non-Indian chef would concoct by reading up a recipe on
the internet. At Frankfurt, it was difficult to make connections as flights landed and departed from
remote bays and not gates attached to the terminals. Passengers were stuffed into overcrowded buses.
It was snowing lightly and was a mess. We could see families stranded in the cold at the foot of the
ladder waiting for the next bus. It appears that flying Lufthansa in Economy (and paying a
significant premium over Egyptair) was justified only by the ontime departures and arrivals.

FRA to LHR. No thank you/please/good morning by the check in, just cold faces. Transport from
terminal to the plane by bus, so you have to wait by the stairs to the plane in cold rain (no
priority boarding for families with kids ). When all passengers took their seats, captain made an
announcement that there is a technical fault so we have to change the planes. Really strange.
Captain said that it will take up to 20 min - it took them 60. Again, no thank you, no please, no
smiles from FA. And, of course no apologies. They say that there is no better way to fly - well
there is, a ride on a goat would be more pleasant.

Washington - Frankfurt on 747-400 - terrible. Seated in economy, but no entertainment system, and
the major screens out of my range, due to the overhead compartments. Called for service 3 times
during the trip. (wanting my tray removed, 15 minutes others had theirs taken away. Next time to get
some water, and the last time to ask if they had a magazine) They didnt show up any of the times,
but did 2 times cancel my lights without talking to me. Food was OK. They only had one option
(pasta), since the turkey was "sold out" (this was dec 23rd!). The information from the flight crew
was inadequate. We left Washington about 1 hour late, and arrived in Frankfurt 1,5 hour to late. A
lot of people missed connections (on Dec 24th). Delays may not be their fault, but we will never
know, since we were told nothing.

Oslo-Munich-Hannover return in Economy. Excellent, on-time flights with clean and comfortable

Flight attendants nice and professional. Transfer at Munich easy and comfortable with free hot

at a very attractive fare.

LAX-FRA-MAN Business Class. LAX-FRA was on a 747 which has a strange quite open business class
cabin on the lower deck, covering the first 15 rows (no bulkheads and first class upstairs). The
crew were pleasant and welcoming. The food was quite good and choice of wines excellent. IFE was not
brilliant but as this was an overnight trip that did not cause too many problems. The angled lie
flat beds seem to have lumps in the wrong places and the slide factor is quite noticeable although I
did manage a couple of hours sleep. What was surprising was that there were only three toilets for
such a large number of people. Arrival in FRA efficient and fast. From there things went a little
downhill although I suspect many of the problems are Frankfurt airport related rather than
Lufthansa's fault. The business class lounge was one of the worst we have been in. FRA-MAN flight
was on a remote stand and the airport staff seemed determined to pack all of the passengers on to
one bus whatever class they were travelling in. The flight itself was OK although the staff seemed a
little Christmas happy (it was 23 December) and the service suffered. They also failed to deal with
two rowdy children from the economy section who decided that the business class aisle was their
playground. The food was so-so at best but for a short flight we were past caring. Baggage delivery
took thirty minutes on a quiet afternoon but this was Manchester airport and we have come to expect
nothing else there. Would we fly with LH again? Depending on the route we travel the answer is
almost certainly.

Business Class from Khartoum to London via Frankfurt. For the cost of the ticket, I expected so much
more from Lufthansa on this route. Absolutely no visual or audio entertainment whatsoever in the
A300 on the Khartoum-Frankfurt sector and the seats were hard and very unforgiving. Delayed for 90
minutes in Frankfurt because of the fog in London although absolutely no fault of the airline. I am
however grateful that the flight did make it to London and land in almost zero visibility.

arrival to LNZ. Midday flight in business class only a cold snack (one slice of salmon, butter,
bread, some vegetables and a small cake) and two runs for drinks. really a bad service for such an
expensive ticket!

From Oslo, via Frankfurt, to Johannesburg in business class. Excellent first leg in an A320. The
middle seat in Business Class was empty. From FRA, old-looking Boeing 747 with tape and other "quick

LH flights soon. Clean however, and seat / food was fairly good. Nice friendly crew. Arrived on-

OSL-MUC-TXL-FRA-OSL. This was a very last minute LH internet offer for a weekend trip to Berlin. It
turned out the actual ticket fare was 10NOK=EUR,125 with a lot of taxes. LH is one of the last
carriers who actually serve food on European routes. This was very nice, especially compared to the
austerity of SAS Y class. I even got a glass of sekt on the domestic parts. Staff was friendly and
seating comfortable. (Had exit seats on A300 and CRJ). Flight from Berlin left half an hour late due
to congestion at FRA. However I made it comfortably to the connecting gate and so did my luggage.

Chicago ORD-Frankfurt on new Airbus A330-300. Modern, comfortable aircraft and I had the chance to
experience the new Lufthansa inflight entertainment system in Economy Class. It took Lufthansa some
years to get an AVOD in Economy, but it was worth waiting for. Big touch screens in the seat in
front of you offer the fantastic program of the Lufthansa Media World you already had in Business
and First Class. Video on demand, radio, news etc. and in 8 languages. A hot dinner after take off,
breakfast before landing and beverages were served during the whole night.

Berlin (TXL) to Brussels. Actually the route Berlin-Brussels is served by three different carriers
flying from all three municipal airports in Berlin. Easy Jet is flying from Schoenefeld (SXF), which
is a bit far away and has no good public transportation access. Brussels Airlines, who recently
became a no service airline as well is flying from fabulous Tempelhof Airport (THF) which is
directly in the city centre. Lufthansa is flying out of Tegel (TXL). I hate no service airlines so I
decided to take Lufthansa. The ticket was very expensive though. Around 500 Euro for a return
ticket in Economy is way to much for such a short flight. In hindsight I would have taken the
loathed no service carriers instead but once the booking was made it was to late to change anything.
The flight was on time. Lufthansa (actually Lufthansa Regional) is using Candair CR 2000 Jets on
this route. Seating is cramped but all right for a flight that lasts little more than one hour.
There is still an on board service. You get a very small sandwich and free drinks (including beer
and wine). Newspapers are offered as well. Technically it was a nice flight but it was way to
expensive. I am willing to pay more to travel with a real airline as to avoid the no service
carriers but there are limits. Would I use Lufthansa again: Yes but only if their ticket prices are
less outrageous.

MUC-JFK-MUC return over a long weekend. Outbound in Economy with disastrous seating (when seat in front of you is reclined you hardly have any
private spacde left - in my opinion the recline is the problem as the pitch is standard these days) and ageing entertainment (still their big monitors).
Food varying from a perfectly acceptable lunch to an almost inedible snack of heated pizza or cheese sandwich. Perfectly fine crew with good
service. Inbound upgraded to Business which helped pass the short 6:40 flight time easily. Crew and food very
good. Cannot complain about the seats either as I managed to sleep for almost 5 hours.
In total 4 stars due to the let down in Economy.

Return London Heathrow to Munich. Aside from Heathrow Terminal 2, a very enjoyable experience. Clean

Munich airport is immaculate, wouldn't hesitate to transfer through there. Both flights departed on
time, and the small sandwich is all you need on a quick European flight. No IFE, but do you need
that on a flight that short?

Lufthansa doesn't seem to have any interest in long-haul economy passengers. No leg room, awful
entertainment (overhead screens), mediocre food, and very little attention from cabin attendants,
even after one of them spilled a drink all over me and my neighbor. There was absolutely nothing to
make my Denver-Frankfurt-Chennai flight tolerable. Of course all airlines are foresaking their
economy passengers, but Lufthansa is at least as guilty as any of them. I've flown this several
times. Occasionally I've had upgrades, and of course, business class if fine. Someone please do
something for us economy travelers!

Prague-Frankfurt-Orlando return in economy. The check-in agent for Lufthansa in Prague made a
mistake in checking me into row 30 in the middle section of Airbus A330-300 for flight from FRA to
MCO, believing that was the emergency exit row, while it is row 29 in the middle on this aircraft
and row 30 only in the wing section. It was resolved by stewards and I was able to switch seats on
full plane. Transatlantic flights - good entertainment and personal screens, food good, numerous
rounds of drinks, attendants answered calls quickly. Unfortunately my flight from Frankfurt to
Prague was cancelled, but I was informed, rebooked on flight 1hr 20 minutes later and Lufthansa
allowed the use of telephone to make necessary calls regarding schedule change. Overall, because of
their immediate and very good response to problems and otherwise excellent service I rate the trip
as good and would recommend Lufthansa to others.

not have entertainment in economy class with the exception of poor quality overhead monitors that

Brussels-Frankfurt-Jakarta and return in C class. I could pre-book the seats without problems, and I
could get the ones in the first section, which is more intimate - and there is no risk of a middle
seat as in the back sections of C class. BRU-FRA very short, and a cold snack was served. Smooth
transfer in Frankfurt. Business Lounge very full, it took me 10 minutes to get a seat. Now the part
of the lounge close to gates B-24 to B-27 has been turned in a Senator Lounge, so the Business one
is smaller and even more crowded than before. Not good at all. Flight to Jakarta okay, attentive
service (dinner + brunch), and I like the seats. 1 hour-something stop in Singapore, where it is
compulsory to go again through security checks! Dinner again before landing in Jakarta.
Return almost the same. All flights were on-time. Overall Lufthansa Business class product is very

rip-off Swisscom rates (must be the most expensive in Europe), but free internet access available on

Flight FRA-ICN on A340-600. Was disappointed with C-service, which took the better half of 4 hours
