We were very disappointed with Lufthansa on our return trip from Germany. Although we had booked a window and an aisle seat together in the 42nd row, we were issued tickets for the center seats in the 36th row. As a result, we were cramped and miserable for the entire trip home to Chicago. We will be considering other airline options for our next trip. We will especially be researching options that include a 'premium economy' class.

LH 2022, MUC-DUS, 1st Dec 2013. Good flight from MUC to DUS. Flight was on time (5 minutes earlier than scheduled). The crew served two drinks (alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic drinks) and some salted crackers. For an 50 minute flight within Germany this was good. Friendly crew and seat free on the left or right-hand side. Nothing to complain about - very good. The price for the flight was also ok, I paid less than going by train in economy.

Nov 29, LH440, FRA-IAH, A380. 100% Satisfactory. Though I prefer One World over Star Alliance, however if I have to fly Star then its Lufthansa. From glassware, china ware, cutlery choice, and to top it all is the food quality and taste. My international flights were in Business and connecting flights business. I have flown with them in economy from time to time and with that too they were best. Crew on board were all service minded. Keep it up Lufthansa.

It was a great flight from IAD to FRA with Lufthansa with a brand new airplane Boeing 747-8i. The service is great, the plane is very quiet and it was easy to sleep even in economy class. I would recommend this airline to everybody.

LH 456. Flew in June and July 2012. No personal inflight entertainment system. Only the radio which played the same songs. Heard the same songs while going to LA and upon return as well. On return the aircraft had the seat back entertainment but was never turned on. Upon enquiry, the stewardess said the flight from Bangalore to FRA leaves early morning and people are sleeping? Didn't quite understand that. I had a long haul flight from Bangalore to FRA and FRA to LA and the inflight entertainment system was really sad.

Flew BLR-BOS, the airline was very good, seating was very comfortable, cabin crew were courteous. The service was great, food served was excellent. Fleet was new, with very good inflight entertainment. Overall a great trip.

LH flight 457 from LAX to FRA. We had some very bad experiences with the flight attendants. The whole crew were incredibly rude and surly. Lufthansa should train and discipline their cabin crews and not allow them to act like a drill sergeant. As we regularly fly Lufthansa we must say that this bad performance does not apply to all attendants. In contrast however the LH 1012 from FRA to BRU. This could serve as an example as to how it should work. What a performance.

Excellent product, both crew and hardware. Flew First to SFO, returned from LAX. Both flights simply outstanding in all regards, seat quality, service, catering - and off course the unsurpassed LH ground product.

Flight LH 456. This was a flight from Frankfurt to Los Angeles, on a Boeing 747-8. The problem was the seat which was too small for such a long trip especially when the front seat was reclined back while I was eating. The distance between my seat and the one in front of me was also too small.

DEN-FRA on 747-400: Old plane with old Business-Class Seats (hard and uncomfortable). Service was nice but not very well co-ordinated, took a long time to get the food to the passengers. The food quality in Business is on a constant decline, portions are now "French-size" (means hardly anything is on the plate). IFE is limited, when you fly more than once in 3 month you know all the films. Beside of the extra space not worth the money.

Flew from DMM to LAX via FRA. DMM to FRA operated by Privatair with return 3 weeks later. Privatair is a hit and miss, the B737 was old and cramped though in LH interiors. FA's are hit and miss but efficient. Food adequate but nothing spectacular even for economy. Lay over at FRA, FRA is a difficult airport to navigate, lots of leg work to do. Gates were changed at the last minute and flight was full on the new 747-8 which resulted in carry ons being placed in the hold. B747 window seat was cramped even for an average Asian guy, the IFE box under the seat in is a pain. Booked a seat at the back, the last row with 10 across meaning I could recline without anybody behind. Inflight entertainment was a bit of a let down though lots of choices, but its very slow, resulting in vigorous tapping and disturbing the person in front. B747-8, no amenities. Food was good albeit small portions but plenty of drink runs and snacks in the galley. Second meal was ok, better than the sad sandwich on BA on the same route. Breakfast on return was ok. FA's were great throughout, efficient and polite. The purser actually remembered me on the return and gave me some goodies. All in all for this route its a value for money, great service, great planes except the one used by Privatair and on time.

LH434, MUC-CHI, 4/12/2013. I like travelling with Lufthansa, especially the service quality. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. I also like the way Lufthansa treats it's best customers, the frequent flyers. Some privileges help to make frequent travellers appreciated, especially the preferred seats in the exit row.

I have flown Lufthansa within Europe on about 20 occasions over the last few years, always economy, but have never reviewed them as I have considered them good if not outstanding, with little discuss. My most recent experience (LHR-MUC) has prompted me to comment on their amazing punctuality. The aircraft started moving within a few seconds of the published time and as we taxied out I saw at least 6 aircraft waiting to depart (typical LHR late morning) but somehow we went to the front and were second to go and my memory is that this is not unusual. We arrived in MUC 10 minutes ahead of schedule. It reminded of the time when the pilot told us at LHR that due to storms on route we, like all other flights heading East, should expect about an hour delay (it was true, I checked later). Ten minutes later we were off having 'found a spare slot' and landed on Frankfurt exactly to schedule. I am not sure how they do this, but all credit to them, I have never been on another airline that sticks to its timetable quite so rigorously. Apart from that I think Lufthansa is a good airline: the aircraft are always clean and tidy, the cabin crew friendly and efficient. Maybe the catering is sometimes rather disappointing but on a short flight it is adequate.

I am using Lufthansa every month, also for crossing the Atlantic several times per year. Sometimes I fly Business, sometimes Economy, depending on the purpose of the trip. I am generally not dissatisfied with LH. However, for more than half a year now, FlyNet, the inflight Internet service they are advertising, has not been not working on the flights I took to the US West Coast - 6 times in a row. Twice the plane wasn't equipped with the necessary router (the brand new 747-8i on the route LAX-FRA wasn't, as well as the A380 on the route SFO-FRA), and one plane has had a defective router for more than half a year already (the A340-800 on the service MUC-LAX). I can't understand why LH allow themselves to disappoint their clients in such a way. It is fine that they are offering AC-jacks even in Economy, but why isn't there a router? After all, the service is not even free. I will choose a different airline in the future if this problem is not fixed by Feb 2014. Also, the space in Economy is extremely restricted, particularly if you are an averagely tall male and the passenger in front of you lowers the backrest. Certain food choices are often not available. You need to be very patient to operate the inflight entertainment system. The older touchscreens are very slow and so insensitive, that you can't take a nap because the passengers behind you are poking violently on the screen in order to operate the menus. To conclude with something positive, staff are generally friendly, helpful, and mostly professional. Also the airplanes are mostly clean and optically well maintained. International airfares are quite okay, at least if you book well in advance.

ORD to MUC round-trip, 11/22 returning 12/2. As an economy class traveler, Lufthansa consistently exceeds many other airlines for service, entertainment, transfers, and the like. Attendants are helpful and courteous. The biggest drawback is that European boarding is not done by rows but generally open, which creates confusion.

I flew from Chicago to Frankfurt on November 27th, flight LH431 and I had a connecting flight to Athens, flight LH1278. Initial flight LH431 was delayed 2 hours. Nobody informed me. They changed my connecting flight in Frankfurt without asking and made it LH1282 which was flying out of Frankfurt at 13.50 on Nov 28th. This meant I arrived in Athens with a 4 hours delay, resulting in the loss of my train connection and I had to stay in Athens overnight! The seats in economy class of the "famous" new 747-8 were so narrow that I couldn't eat the food, find my belt or get out of my seat to stretch! Food - They offered vegetarian or chicken diner, but since we were last being served we got vegetarian. Staff service? I asked for a glass of water, and was still waiting 8+ hours later. The only good thing was the Entertainment system with a great variety of movies, documentaries, sports, etc. Very bad experience!

26 Nov 2013, LH 429, CLT-MUC. Great new entertainment system, great food, however no meat main courses. Seating space too small, especially if you are 1.98m and fly over 8 hours.

Sao Paulo Guarulhos-Munich-Moscow Domodedovo and Munich-Sao Paulo. Sao Paulo-Munich-Sao Paulo in First class, Munich to Moscow in Business. New First class cabins on transatlantic sectors, which is classy and elegant. Seat very comfortable and turned to a perfect bed after dinner time. Private, still, not secluded. Food and wines always high-standard, as expected on Lufthansa. New Rimowa amenities kit a charm, complete with La Mer toiletries. Toilets are roomy and well-maintained during the long flights, with additional items. Large screens and good choice of audio and movies. Wifi is a miss, did not work, asked help from the crew and after trying, they apologize for the lack of access. These were my 5th and 6th Lufthansa transatlantic flights, had issues with their internet access in all of them. Baggage arrived promptly with priority tags. Intra European sector on Business with tight seating (Recaro slim seats are very hard), plenty but not so good food and ok wines. Their First class lounges and limousine transfers to plane adds value to the experience. In spite of the wifi/internet issues, Lufthansa offers a solid and consistent product on First class, with is delivered to meet the most high expectation.

FRA-EZE on LH 510. First class lounge in Frankfurt is excellent. Nice relaxed atmosphere, excellent a la carte and buffet restaurant, everything you need. There is even a full spa. Personal assistance for each passenger, takes care for boarding pass etc.! Limousine service for boarding. First class cabin was the understated elegance itself with one seat and one bed for each passenger, 8 passenger only, Upperdeck. Personal approach by FA's, even the Flight captain welcomes each passenger in person! Personal welcome staff in Buenos Aires, helping with customs and immigration, outstanding! Service was attentive, food and drinks were excellent. Flight entertainment system is world class with plenty of new films, dozens of music CDs, and many more. Flew several other major Airlines, from my point of view, this LH First Class cannot be topped!

Flight LH 429. I was unsatisfied about the fact that I was not able to check-in my flight from USA to Europe. Me and my wife were distributed randomly and this had applied also to the flight from Munich to Bucharest. The services on flight LH 429 Charlotte to Munich were the worst ever. The food was almost finished by row 44 where I was seated. The air hostesses forgot about rows 43, 44,45 when they served digestifs after the main meal and I had to ask them for Baileys or other drinks. The air hostesses were not interested in passengers comfort.

FRA-IAD, LH418, 23 Oct 2013. The flight and the service were both OK except the snack that was served shortly before landing in Washington. This snack was one of the most disgusting I have eaten (some sort of fatty pizza slice). The operation of the entertainment system via the display (you have to press the icon on the screen) is terrible. You have to press the glass surface on the display very hard, simply very bad functionality.

JFK-FRA-BEY, on the long haul flight on a 747-400. A separate jetway for bussiness class passengers, warm welcome by the crew, spacious cabin, comfortable seats but when sleeping its at an angle. Service was elegant, on our next flight to Beirut on an Airbus 321, also easy check-in with on time departure cheerful and helpful crew, great service, delicious meal.

9th November, flight LH 410 from Munich to New York and flight LH 411 on 23rd November back to Germany. The flight from Munich to New York was overall very pleasant. Unfortunately the entertainment monitor did not really work. The crew tried to fix it but that was a hopeless case. The only thing that was really irritating for me was that I during the booking procedure I requested "no fish" and due to that I constantly got different food to everyone else, even though the normal food did not contain any fish. The "special meal" was in my opinion not edible).

FRA-IAD on LH 418. First class lounge in Frankfurt is excellent. Nice relaxed atmosphere, excellent a la carte and buffet restaurant, everything you need. There is even a full spa. Limousine service for boarding. First class cabin was the understated elegance itself on a brand new B747-8. Only eight seats, or open suits, which were comfortable both for seating and sleeping. Service was attentive, food and drinks were outstanding. Flight entertainment system is world class with plenty of new films, dozens of music CDs, and many more.

Flight LH436, DUS-ORD Nov 16/13 and Flight LH435, ORD-MUC, Nov 23/13. Lufthansa has never disappointed me, if it is Economy or Business Class. Food is always excellent, you get decent tools (not plastic) and the crew is friendly and attentive. Flights are on time or earlier than expected.

NCE-FRA then onto the USA on a United flight. Lufthansa economy was completely adequate for the short-haul flight - everything was on time, boarding was done efficiently, cabin staff friendly enough. Only real complaint is that the head rest on my seat had no padding - it was just the cloth cover over the metal or plastic frame. Tolerable for a short flight, would have been a bigger problem on a long-haul trip. It looked like it only my seat that was defective, as other seats seemed to have adequate padding, but its a shame Lufthansa missed this detail when preparing the plane.

Just flew from Munich to Newark on Monday 11/11/13. The flight was a good experience, I choose emergency exit and didn't have anybody close to me so very good experience. I fly normally Star Alliance and LH is doing a good job. Food was tasty even though there could have been more selection. Inflight entertainment good but needs more movies and TV shows. Staff were very friendly so I will fly them again.

My flight from Chicago to Frankfurt was terrible. At the beginning of the flight water was dripping from the ac. I had an emergency exit seat right by the door. I was freezing cold during the entire flight as cold air seemed to be pouring in . My request to turn on the heater was harshly denied by one Stewardess. Wifi was not working throughout the entire flight. One exception. A third stewardess was really nice restarting my Entertainment System that was not working at the beginning.

I take LH flights often. This last flight on LH456 on November 22nd was a very good experience, even if I was stuck in economy class. The service was outstanding, the crew extremely attentive and communicative, and the aircraft extremely clean throughout.

LH424, the plane on which we returned from Munich to Boston was inferior to the other Lufthansa planes on which we have travelled. The seats were too small, the leg room was too sparse, and the carry on luggage racks were too small. I felt very cramped in every way! The food and drink were good, as usual! I also didn't like the new video system, as there were no recent movies. We've been traveling Lufthansa for many years, and it's always been a top airline, but I don't think that it's so after our recent flight.

I use Lufthansa frequently since Frankfurt airport in Germany is a convenient hub for my business travels. In percent of flights, approximately 70% Europe, 25% U.S.A., 5% other. I purchased this flight to Dallas, Texas by phone 3 months prior trying to get a mileage upgrade to business class. I clearly expressed to the sales agent that I was flexible in the weekdays to choose the outbound flight to Dallas and bought the recommended flight, but subsequently learned from through the necessary upgrade website confirmation step, that the upgrade was only wait listed but not available. Several attempts by phone and during check-in the day before departure at the airport could not resolve the wait listing status. To my surprise, I was told at the airport that I was even dropped from the wait list and should ask at the gate, all of which did not lead to an upgrade. The economy seat to Dallas for over 1300 Euros was quite narrow and I would have chosen a different airline if I had known this before. It is also not the first time I have experienced very intransparent upgrade services with Lufthansa and had to waste many hours leading to nothing (despite Lufthansa agents recommending this again and again). For frequent flyers who do not have excessive travel budgets I would not recommend Lufthansa based on my most recent and also prior experiences, because the mileage upgrades are really difficult to get. Compared to other airlines which I regularly fly, the cost-benefit I have experienced is only moderate with Lufthansa.

We flew First Class for the very first time and were impressed by the excellent service. As it was the brand new First Class Product in the Boeing 747-800 from FRA to LAX we experienced enormous space for us (2 persons in 1A and 1G) we had approx 15 sq meters just for us. Service was elegant and very relaxed. Will fly again.

On a flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Frankfurt I flew the first time with Lufthansa's new Boeing 747/8 aircraft. The experience was mixed. On the positive side were the improved in-flight entertainment in the economy class as well as the new cabin lighting. On the negative side I had the subjective impression that the distance between rows in the economy is still smaller than in the Lufthansa Airbus Aircraft in particular A380 and maybe even smaller than in the older 747-400. Without any doubt the number of only two toilets for the front part of the economy cabin is too small (for comparison on the 747-400 there are four). This caused that waiting queues formed in the aisles almost throughout the entire night. Lufthansa should consider replacing one row of seats with two additional toilets.

I fly around 150.000 Miles per year with several airlines - talking about LH I feel they lost track with the other European Airlines when it comes to service, meals and friendliness on board. This is the reason why I move more and more of my business flights to AF/KLM and BA for my North America flights. Lately I was flying from FRA-LAX and I found myself on a B747 with no in seat entertainment for a 13 hours flight - unbelievable. The stuff brought me magazines!

Helsinki-(Munich)-Hong Kong. Long haul part on the A340-600 which in my opinion is the nicest long haul aircraft, due to the toilets being found down a flight a stairs in the mid-section of the aircraft and thanks to it being airbus the seating is 2-4-2 which means only 1 person will ever have to move when someone needs to leave their seat. Food was good and a major plus is the alcohol on demand service and free snacks and soft drinks available to take oneself from the small section near the bathrooms. Return leg with the new 747 via Frankfurt. Nothing special, if anything feels more cramped. Service was bad. Was skipped with breakfast ( I presume they missed me by pure accident), when I pressed the service button, the lady just walked by assuming I had pressed it by accident, turned it off and walked on before I had a chance to say anything. IFE set-up was not ideal and had not a large selection.

Bogota-Frankfurt-Bogota on A340-600. I travel this route frequently every 8-12 weeks or so and have flown Business most times. However, I have become tired to pay high fares having to accept the terrible seat. And after the last experience with the new Business Class on a 747-8 (which is not better), I have decided to save a considerable amount of money and fly Economy as of now on my trips from Colombia to Germany. Due to SEN status I always get either seats in row 26 next to emergency exit or row 22 bulkhead which offers much more legroom. Service excellent with smiling and caring FAs, purser came around 3 times to greet me and my seat neighbour (SEN as well) by names, and asked if we had any special request. I politely asked if they would bring me over a JW Blue from F, and they did! Food and Beverages in Economy of high quality, presentation different as in Business, of course, but quality and quantity are basically not that different. Planes spotlessly clean, and the crews on both legs went far beyond the normal so as to provide a warm service. LH has improved a lot over the years, and with the last experiences flying Economy I do not see many reasons to fly Business. It is better to save the money and pamper myself to fly First once a year!

BHX-FRA-YYZ and return via DUS, both short legs on B737 and CRJ900 respectively were just economy seats with the adjacent seat blocked off, no point paying for this unless it comes as part of the overall ticket price. FRA-YYZ on A340-600 and YYZ-DUS A340-300, no great difference, the seats are average at best, certainly not up to the standard of some of the competition. Food far too fussy for my liking but service was fine. Best part was the price, which is the only reason I use LH, cheaper than anyone else and didn't have to bother getting down to LHR.

September 2013, MAN-MUC-DEL. I was pleasantly surprised as my overall flight experience was much better then more popular Gulf-based airlines. When I reached Manchester Airport, I had no problem in checking-in. Lufthansa staff didn't even look at size/weight of carry-on luggage as we know that many other airlines nowadays harass passengers on that. Luggage limit is 23 kilos and carry-on is 8 kilos although they never take weight of carry-on. Flight from Manchester to Munich was good. Comfortable seats and well served with drinks and pizza slice. Staff was courteous and multiple rounds were made for drinks. Munich to Delhi flight was very well served also. In some other airlines, I feel starved or thirsty sometimes but this time, so many rounds were made by staff members of wide variety of drinks and food that I had to sometimes politely refuse them. Indian veg as well as western style chicken was good and snacks/patties were fantastic also. I will recommend Lufthansa and especially Munich-Delhi sector for all UK and USA passengers going to India. Timing from Delhi - around 8am from Delhi suits people and I fear that they will lose passengers if in future they move timings of Delhi departure to around midnight. Things where they can improve - I found headphones to be of very cheap quality. also luggage limits should be increased. From UK, Europe, there competitors like Air India give 46 kilos, Virgin give 46, Emirates and Etihad give 30 kilos. Lufthansa has 1 bag 23 kilos policy for Economy passengers which is low.

PRG-FRA-PEK. It was my first experience with Lufthansa and I am not disappointed at all. Newish A320's configuration with Recaro seats was fully satisfying for short-haul flight PRG-FRA. Transfer at FRA was incredibly smooth and efficient (as well as at all other Lufthansa group's hubs). My impressions of A380 were deep, as long as I had fallen asleep. Entertainment system comparable with any airline, flight attendants still kept smiling and were very helpful. I will probably fly no other carrier (well, Swiss maybe) on routes EU-PEK.

The flight in a Boeing 747-8 ran smoothly. Personnel was very friendly. Food was fine. Space was very tiny, the seats can be pushed too far back. If one is sitting in a row where the seats cannot be pushed back (row 20) then the space is even tinier.

On our two way flight from MUC-CLT and back it was a pleasant experience to fly with Lufthansa. On the way to Charlotte we had the old interior with the not-so-responsive Entertainment solution but a very wide selection of movies. On the way back we had a new interior with the same selection of movies but a lot nicer Interface. As expected the Food was very good with a nice selection.

Wed 13 Nov, LH1109 SZG-FRA, LH430, FRA-ORD. Most of the cases I fly Lufthansa because they are a safe airline and have good connections together with their partner airlines from Star Alliance. Due to a cost cutting program of my company this was my first longhaul flight in Economy Class after many years. What a difference! No space, lousy food. As a very loyal Lufthansa frequent flyer (more than 20 years) and over hundred Business Class flights I'd appreciate to receive an upgrade once in a while.

Because of a broken transfer bus in Washington Dulles I missed the next flight. Because of this missed flight all my booked flights got cancelled and deleted automatically. This was very annoying because it took me some hours to get rebooked. Additional an upgrade to business class was deleted and Lufthansa was unable to reconstruct it. I had to buy this upgrade a second time which is additional annoying because I had to use my personal mileage (originally the company would have paid for). I tried the Miles and More hotline but nobody picked up the phone until the boarding started. Finally airborne the entertainment system on my seat didn't work. Fortunately the seat next to me was free and I could solve this problem very easily. What I would expect from Lufthansa: Stop the practice to cancel all flights if someone missed a flight - late arrivals can happen every time, regardless what the reason is.

MUC to NY JFK, LH410, Nov 11th 2013. Nice flight, we had the chance to take the seat in an exit row. The food was standard economy so therefore the lower rating but everything else was good! Only thing I don't like is what has been announced for M&M in 2014. not as many miles, no LF flights within Germany for a couple of cities, instead only Germanwings. The advantage of M&M is not very visible anymore. There should be a little bit more of a reward to people who fly on a frequent basis.

My trip was from London Heathrow to Italy, passing by Frankfurt. First flight was perfect, on time. The only drawback was the bus to carry passengers to the airport in Frankfurt. Here we were left very far from everything and a new baggage control was imposed, being already controlled in London! The gate for Turin was very far from the entrance where we were left, needing also a train to go there. The hostess at the gate for Turin told us there was a problem on the plane to Turin, delaying the taking off in a unspecified manner. At the end we took a second bus to go to the plane with more than 30 minutes delay and the plane was located in the opposite corner of the Frankfurt airport with respect to the taking off track.

I travelled with a pet in the cabin from Toronto to Frankfurt and then To Sofia and then to Venice and to Vienna and back. I was given the worst seat every time and the flight attendants were not too friendly - I felt like the pet was nuisance for them and he is 4lb teacup poodle that did not made any noise the whole time. I was very dissatisfied because I always liked Lufthansa and though they will be pet friendly. Couple of the flights were almost empty and I was still given the last seat next to the toilet. I did move but was not happy that you pay over 100 dollars for the pet and they treat you like second hand citizen. And the flight to Frankfurt was delayed and then on the return flight from Vienna to Frankfurt was more than one hour late and they took us on bus and I could not get the taxes back from my purchases which was few hundred dollars but they told me I have to make choice : to make my flight or to get the stamp and my money and without the stamp from customs you cannot get your money.

FRA to ORD and back. Lufthansa service is quite good and staff friendly. The thing I really don't like about it is that flight attendents every single time ask me if I can switch my seat with someone else because they want to sit together and I most likely travel alone. I mean there is a reason why I make reservations for a certain seat and in this situation you are kind of forced -f riendly but still - to sit somewhere else and if you don't you're the bad guy. So I think it would be great if flight attendants would stop with that or at least wait until everybody has taken their seat and then ask around if somebody is willing to move (cause last time they made me change my seat three times to make sure that people can sit together). I have no problem to switch my seat so a parent can sit next to its child. But as an adult you should be able to at least check-in early to make sure that you can sit together and don't make trouble for the flight attendents and other passengers while boarding.

First Class from Seattle to Frankfurt, Airbus 330 and what a treat! It was an award ticket and everything is perfect. First class lounge is common with the business lounge at Seatac. Onboard the seat is huge and service impeccable. Food is 5 stars and they give you a pyjama and slippers. The crew were very friendly and service tip notch. The FRA arrival lounge is great.

Lufthansa´first class on A380 from Frankfurt to San Francisco and back. The service on the ground was excellent and efficient. The seats are very comfortable and catering is good as well. The staff was excellent and very friendly. I think the seat could surely compare to something like the Emirates first class, although you don't have as much privacy there. The only con is the entertainment system. The movies and music selection is not acceptable.

PAR-MUC-TBS flight on 30 October. I travel very often with Lufthansa and very impressed every time. Lufthansa is very efficient and professional air company. Online booking and check-in was straightforward. Boarding is quick and efficient for both flights. Transfer in Munich airport is quick and without any stress. Service on board was really good especially MUC-TBS. The full hot meal is served which is very good for 3,5 hour flight. I only was surprised when I asked extra bread of one FAs - she said strictly no and never came back. Very strange! Certainly, I recommend Lufthansa to anyone travelling to Tbilisi along with Turkish airlines and Pegasus airlines (as low cost)

30th November 2013 - Houston - FRA on A380: As I had the Emergency seat I had plenty of legroom. Seats are hard and uncomfortable for a Long flight. Food was ok, they offered great salmon. CDG-FRA-ABZ on an A321 and A319. Then back again ABZ-FRA-CDG on a 737-500 and A321. This was my first time flying Lufthansa since I normally fly BA and I was impressed. I bought my ticket just a few days before flying and the ticket price was much cheaper than all competitors. In addition to a free checked bag, we were also given sandwiches and a choice of 2 drinks on all four flights. All aircraft were very clean and there was more legroom than I'm used to in economy since Lufthansa has slimline seats. The only downsides are the Frankfurt hub which involves a lot of walking and the cabin crew who were pretty polite but robotic. It also means I have to use CDG instead of Orly which means a long ride on the RER B.

Flight LH415 from Washington Dulles to Munich on Oct 30st, 2013 on my return trip from a business trip to USA. I was booked in Economy but I was so happy to be able to upgrade to business class using 50.000 Miles&More miles. Service was wonderful, very good meal, very good drinks, lovely cabin staff, but above all, the flat beds prided by Lufthansa in this Airbus 330 were wonderful. You really are able to sleep almost like in a real bed, and this is really changing your life when you reach final destination.

This was the worst flight I have had on a LH plane to NYC. Very old plane, seat adjustment did not work properly, the back of the front seat could not be put back to an upright position, seats were dirty and run down. Inflight entertainment worked only for the first 30 mins, than broke and could not be restarted again, so no entertainment for more than seven hours.

Service standards are very consistent and they know what customer service is all about. I also have miles and more card which gets me loyalty points as well as upgrades. So I always prefer to fly by Lufthansa. My recent flight was on November 1-2, 2013 - LH755 - BLR-FRA and LH400, FRA-JFK. The counter staff in BLR were very friendly and helpful. The only area of concern is the lack of leg space in economy class.

Flight 711, Tokyo - Frankfurt. Business Class flight from Tokyo in 747-400. Business Class seats in Lufthansa long haul are behind the competition in comfort. They are not fully flat and are quite hard. The business class section seemed a bit 'tired' although, having flown on the business A380 to Tokyo which has the same sea design, my thoughts are that Lufthansa are generally behind US-Airways, BA, and AF. Quality of service was up to the usual good standards. Not really worth the cost of the Business Ticket but improvements in new Business Cabin in 2014 should help Lufthansa offer comparable product to the other big euro carriers.

The flight itself was very good - seat was great, inflight entertainment was superb, staff very friendly and efficient. I was flying the route MIA-FRA and on to Stuttgart Main Train Station (ZWS) with the Deutsche Bahn, included in my flight ticket. On arrival at FRA airport, I waited for my luggage to come out at the carousel for MIA for around 45 minutes. I went to the baggage tracking counter and I was told that there was another carousel towards the railway station. Nobody told me before of this and there was no information anywhere else (I speak both German and English fluently). It was very frustrating to have to wait for nothing. I'm sure I'm not the first passenger to experience this. FRA is a really huge airport so it would really help passengers to get informed of such cases. Fortunately, I found my luggage at the carousel near the railway station, but after being so nervous/anxious in the last 45 minutes thinking it could have been lost!

The staff on ground and in the air were friendly and helpful. And the free beers with the meal was good. My best transatlantic flight for some time.

LAX to FRA with LH 457, 17/8/2013. A very good airline with good services and good planes (usually). The new 747 8 is a good plane but the amount of rest rooms in Economy is not acceptable. Will try to avoid that plane from Lufthansa in the future.

LH411 from New York to Munich. The flight on the A330-300 was comfortable, even though the seats in Economy class are a way to hard and small and the recline angle is very small. As I was sitting at the right Exit (30K) and the seat beside me was not occupied, I had plenty of space. I had sufficient pillows and blankets and the temperature in the cabin was acceptable. The crew were superb, friendly and very helpful as always! Lufthansa crews have a special charm! This crew even served me Port wine and chocolate (Toblerone). Nicely, they left me sleeping at the very early breakfast, however I found an orange juice just for me before landing. Great! This time I did not use onboard W-LAN (which could be a bit cheaper) and Entertainment service, which for me generally is not a must. But both options and availability are quite good. With Lufthansa I would definitely fly again!

TXL-MCO and return in Business class. The product is a disappointment and not up to scratch with the competition. Seat is not really comfortable and when sitting at the window can't get out unless disturbing the passenger next to you. Not a full flat seat, so not particularly nice to sleep in. Entertainment system is outdated, with very limited choice and generally the interface felt like something from the 90s. Food was below average for business on both trips. The only positive experience is the punctuality, but other than that for the price they charge one would expect a lot more (and one gets a lot more on other legacy carriers such as US Airways or Air-France, let alone on the Gulf carriers).

Flight from Frankfurt to Madrid October 18th, LH1114. Before the flight started from Frankfurt the purser found it most important to announce that the toilets for the economy class passengers are in the tail of the airplane and that they must not use the business class toilets even if they are closer. I felt very ashamed for this lack of culture and style.
