Frankfurt-Tel Aviv. I had no high expectations for Lufthansa's business class service other
than more comfortable seats than economy. The service was ok, but nothing more than that.
I've also flown Lufthansa in economy to Tel Aviv. Nothing to clap about. Only thing that's
good, is the large aircraft.

BHX-FRA-BAH Economy. BHX-FRA was pleasant, but the plane pulled into a gate at FRA and
instead of using the airbridge they trotted us off the plane onto buses. Why? We are parked
at the terminal? FRA-BAH flight was a joke, some ancient A340 with no IFE and they didn't
even bother to show a movie for a 5.5 hr flight, just cartoons and then music videos. This is
2009 - where is the IFE?

BOM-FRA in Economy. 1 star for direct service, but thats all that's positive. On Indian routes
LH is using the oldest and shabbiest 747-400. Worn out seats, no personal IFE (instead, old,
small, yellowed overhead TV screens every 10 or so rows), terrible seat pitch, rude FAs,
terrible food. Maybe Lufthansa considers passengers travelling to India not to deserve at
least a basic amount of service?

Dubai to Munich - service and seats were okay but nowhere as comfy as Virgin or BA. The
entertainment was limited to a couple of films, after 4 hours I did not have anything to
watch. I will avoid Lufthansa because their business class lounge in Dubai as well as Munich
is a shame - no food, they charge you for internet access, and they have the atmosphere of a
skoda showroom. I had nicer bathrooms and showers in hostels.

Just returned from hassle-free journeys Edinburgh to Istanbul return. For the first time my
husband made use of the wheelchair service. No waiting in queues, no problems at passport
controls or visa desks. Helpful and friendly staff and we arrived feeling fresh and happy.

BRU-MUC-ATH-FRA-BRU. Online check-in a breeze and connections in MUC and FRA quite
comfortable with no long walking times. Cabin crew pleasant and professional. I was surprised
with the catering - even a snack was offered on the FRA-BRU leg this time. I would fly them
again for sure (within Europe) when the price is affordable!

KUL-BKK-FRA-MUC return on 747. Seats are comfortable and worth the money. However got
completely turned off by the non-existent service. Arrogant cabin crew made it worse after
waiting for close to two hours for the first meal service on the BKK-FRA leg. No drinks were
served throughout the trip, as the FA was busy reading her magazine. I cant believe that I
paid close to USD9000 for two tickets and was treated like a coach passenger. Truly
disappointed with my home carrier and the last time I flew. Take TG, MH which is similar in
pricing and a better service. Not to talk about a lousy Business Class lounge and a 45 minute
walk across FRA airport. My friend ordered halal food and got offered alcoholic beverages and
pork dishes on top! A true embarrassment and last trip on LH.

Miami to Berlin via Dusseldorf return on the A340-300 coach for under $600. On the way over,
we had free alcohol, a delicious meal. Service was paced, not frantic in order to get it over
with. No in-seat movies but video monitors. Hot breakfast of an omlette, sausage, etc. Return
was similar, two hot full-meals. Because I pre-ordered a diabetic meal, the flight attendants,
addressing me by name, repeatedly asked if they needed to have special instructions, such as
did I have to eat right away, or when to serve me. After years of American, Delta and
Northwest across the Atlantic I was stunned that such service still existed. The seats were
slightly uncomfortable and pitch maybe 32 inches and no in-seat movies. I hated transiting
MIA however, because of the TSA and passport/customs attitude problems there.

DXB-FRA-DXB Business Class. Star Alliance lounge in Dubai is a joke. The flight from DXB was a
747-400. I had row 1A with good pitch. Amenity bags very basic and kept in each seat. Plump
pillows and a good blanket. Crew efficient. After take off sandwiches and drinks served but
majority of passengers did not eat as it was after 2.30 am. 2 hours before landing breakfast
started. I was not impressed by the standards of catering. A choice of cold or hot breakfast
was offered - I doubt if its anything different from economy class. My hot breakfast was dried
pancakes, over heated frittata and a curled up burnt turkey bacon. The lesser said the better.
On my return flight, the Business class lounge in Terminal 1B is another joke. Very poor
quality of service, food etc. My return flight was on a Business jet operated by PrivatAir.
Boarding started 15 minutes before departure and the plane was a one class configuration in a
737-800. The crew were nice, seats were angled flat. Departure on time and the load was very
light. Dinner again totally unimpressive catering by any standards. Lufthansa is an efficient
airline but needs to look more seriously into its catering and IFE.

CPT-FRA-MAN. Truly dreadful customer service, in fact non-existent. Took 40 mins to check in
at CPT, very inept and rude member of staff, uncommunicative as to reasons why check in took
40 mins. Flight ok, business class average, grateful not in economy as one of our party
unfortunately was. Frankfurt must be the worst transfer airport I have come across,
unfriendly and unhelpful. And don't get me on to the poor business class lounge with the
rudest staff ever. My advice, if you have a choice, don't make it Lufthansa.

KWI-IAH via FRA in Business. No announcement for First / Business class passengers to board
first in KWI- so a free for all scramble. Very disorganized and typical of the region. Flight
attendants were relaxed and courteous and service was good. Got the new Lufthansa blanket on
the leg between FRA-IAH, which has better padding and nicer than the older one. Seats are
comfortable, and able to sleep on both transatlantic flights. Entertainment is limited - there
are not that many choice of movies to watch, and most of the movies were old.

Economy to HOU from FRA on an elderly 747 - hard to believe that a major airline is still
flying long-haul without individual inflight entertainment. The films shown on the overhead
screens were not suitable for children, which made the flight even longer for them. Service
was efficient but quality of food poor. Lufthansa did not even have the cheapest fare. Would
not chose to fly them again.

San Fransisco to Frankfurt. The seats were no worse than other airlines. But the entertainment
on Boeing 747 from San Francisco to Frankfurt was terrible.

Frankfurt-Hong Kong, and Beijing-Frankfurt. also flew an old 747 in economy, legroom was like
most other airlines, quality of food good, and crew as smiling and helpful as I expect. The
thing that is really bad is the entertainment system.

Singapore-Frankfurt-Madrid, Madrid-Frankfurt-San Francisco. Terrible flights both ways. The
seat pitch, at 32 inches is incredibly uncomfortable - it seems that Lufthansa doesn't care
about passengers comfort, only filling seats. The staff, while professional, were not friendly
and came around the cabin with drinks twice on the 12 hour SIN-FRA. I would never fly
Lufthansa again.
