ATH-WAW-CPH. Check-in at Athens was fast. Embraer 175 well maintained and clean. Seat pitch
was ok. We were offered a small tasteless sandwich in a plastic clear tray, drinks and a
dessert. Transfer center at Warsaw airport efficient. The departure gate for the connection
flight was just 2 minutes walk from the gate we arrived at. Boarding for the flight to
Copenhagen was fast. Embraer 170 was 50% full - offered exactly the same meal. Flight
attendants were helpful on both legs of the trip.

JFK-WAW-LHR the cheapest oneway from NY to Lon at a day's notice. Booked it, checked "window"
as a preference but email confirmation showed an aisle seat. Arrived at JFK 90 mins before dep
time. Check-in line took about 15 minutes, eventually directed to business class desk. Polite
clerk said windows were taken, try at the gate in case a pax assigned to window no-shows.
Security line was nightmarish. Encountered same clerk at the gate, good news, reprinted
boarding pass for 8G. However on reaching my seat, found myself squeezed in beside totally
blank cabin wall. No window, not even a sliver ahead or behind. I was extremely upset, plus
the cabin wall curves inwards, but usually the indentation of the window allows some extra
shoulder room, but the blank wall showed no mercy and I was trapped in the absolute worst seat
in the house. No entertainment to speak of, just anonymous music videos on the main screen.
Meal a long time coming, consisted of sealed clear plastic tray which basically contained the
ingredients for a ham and cheese sandwich in separate compartments. Why not just give me a
sandwich - tray didn't allow room for the hot meal, which was perched on the lid. Weird and
ill-conceived idea. Food was acceptable. Woke up for breakfast - another freaky clear plastic
tray containing sandwich ingredients! Warsaw airport is modern and quiet, but there is no
connectivity, so I had five hours before flight to LHR. Half-full Embraer 170 to LHR, tasty
sandwich (assembled this time!), tea etc. An interesting experience!

You get what you pay for - ORD to WAW an old Boeing 767-300 with non existent entertainment,
dirty bathrooms, old seat compensated by the abundance of free alcohol. Lots of intoxicated
noisy passengers, disturbing others while flight attendants turned blind eye and kept serving
them drinks! 9 hours of worst nightmare! Never again!

GDN-WAW, Alenia ATR-72 in EuroLot livery. A full late-evening flight, with excellent cabin
crew. Clean and comfortable plane. Drink/snack service offered in-flight. Arrived 15 minutes
early, so was on the bus to town 5 minutes before we were due to arrive! Domestic flights
don't get much better than this.

LHR-WAW Economy on 737-500. Flight on time, check-in at T1 a breeze, aging but comfortable
B737 with a good seat pitch. Food a standard sandwich with selection of hot and cold
beverages. Crew nothing to write about but efficient in their duties. LOT offers great new
pricing policy which is great value as well.

BRU-WAW-POZ-WAW-BRU in Economy. Check in at Brussels Airport opened late and already a long
queue waiting when staff arrived. Brussels to Warsaw in a 737. Seats didn’t feel very
comfortable but more legroom than other airlines I flew recently. Staff friendly and a cold
meal and drinks offered. Warsaw to Poznan in an ATR 72. Again seats not comfortable and less
legroom compared to international flight. Drinks offered by friendly crew. Similar experience
on the way back to Belgium. LOT gives the feel of an old style classic airline.

AMS-WAW-GDN. Amsterdam to Warsaw the staff was not very friendly. The food was good and
included in the ticket price. Gdansk to Warsaw and Warsaw to Amsterdam the staff was very
friendly. I had enough room for my legs and the seat was very comfortable.

ARN-WAW, WAW-GDN, and WAW-MXP. First two on E145s, second on E170. In all cases, the planes
were about 50-70% capacity. E145s very cramped seating, E170 was like a business class plane.
Cabin service fine, staff in ARN were actually quite rude. Served food on one leg, otherwise
there was food for purchase. Nothing to write home about with LOT, but the tickets are cheap
and they get you there on time.

Frankfurt to Lviv, Ukraine through Warsaw with LOT. Although the flight attendants are
pleasant enough, the customer service representing the airline in Lviv and Kyiv airports are
some of the most rude, condescending people. Trying to settle an issue with lost luggage,
ticket re-scheduling or some other matter will surely bring you hours of pointless phone
conversations, threats and rude remarks from the LOT personnel as well as complete lack of
desire to help the passengers.

The worst journey I have ever had. I was to fly from Brussels to Cracow via Warsaw - the plane
Warsaw to Brussels took off almost 3 hours late. No information in Brussels, no one to contact
to rebook my ticket (there were free seats in Lufthansa flight via Munich), almost an hour
waiting to connect to LOT call centre - and nothing. I had to wait without any information nor
help (business class). When the plane eventually came, it turned out to be an ex-charter
plane, dirty and worn out. During the flight to Warsaw we were assured that our connecting
flights shall wait for us - they did not. It was after midnight and still no help from LOT -
there was nobody to take care for us! Finally, after numerous calls and angry talks, I was put
in a hotel. No amenity kit, even no voucher for food or drinks (I had to pay myself). After 4
hours of sleep I woke up, went to the airport and finally managed to fly to Cracow. Newer
again LOT.

LHR-WAW, return. An 80% full B737 in the new Star Alliance livery to WAW, and a half-empty
Embraer 170 on the return. Excellent, friendly cabin crew throughout, with good language
skills, but the majority of the passengers on both flights were Polish. The days of the LOT
Cafe box appear to be behind us. Still a good airline to fly with, with BA the closest rival
on this route. They are ahead of the low-cost competition, if not on price then certainly on
choice of flights.

Stockholm-Warsaw-Rome return trip, on E70/ER4. Check-in at ARN quick, LOT uses SAS counters
and the new pier F of Terminal 5. Flights uneventful, service excellent - sandwich, warm and
cold drinks together with a bottle of wine. Flight attendants helpful, their language skills
still depend on their age. Embraer 170 offered high comfort, unlike its smaller ER4 (legroom
OK, but having to load hand-luggage into cargo deck is a nuisance). Short connecting time at
Warsaw Airport (50 minutes) was not a problem. Both aircraft parked near the jetways of new
Terminal 2, so there was still enough time to do some shopping. On the way back however, I had
to use the bus and the gate for ARN was changed three times within half an hour, which was
somehow ridiculous. Business class service in Europe seems not to differ significantly from
Economy, perhaps it's better to save money in this case.

Krakow - Vienna in business. Well, avoid it if you can. No legroom at all in a very loud ATR
aircraft. Food - this same menu for 3 years now, so can be boring. Rather unfriendly cabin
crew. As this was a codeshare flight with Austrian and I bought my ticket with Austrian, a
Expected something more.

I flew business class POZ-WAW-LHR and paid GBP640 for the one-way ticket. On the long WAW-LHR
leg all business class middle seats were full so there was no difference in comfort between
business class and economy - same seat configuration. I could have bought the economy ticket
for GBP104. There was not even priority boarding. My request for a refund of the difference
has been turned down immediately. Perhaps the business class meal was a little better than
economy but GBP536 seems a lot to pay for an airline meal. Its a poor airline - I`ll fly LH
through Munich next time

WAW-AMS on Embraer 175. Good flight, 30% full so quick to board and depart. The plane seemed
new - comfy, side seats, good leg space and larger/rounder windows than usual. Flight was on
time, good service (tea/juice and a sandwich). At 105 euros this one-way flight was also half
the price of the standard night train price from Warsaw to Amsterdam.

Warsaw – Vienna in business. Despite the plane (spacious Embraer 170), everything was wrong.
The purser, the food – I am aware that this was a 1-hour flight, but serving exactly this same
breakfast sets for 3 years may be boring. LOT does not provide C-class passengers with a free
seat next to passengers, which makes the journey quite uncomfortable.

LHR WAW economy. The airline needs a desperate makeover, starting with re-painting the planes
and furnishing interiors to become at least close to 21st century. Service is haphazard,
although I was "thrown" a sandwich and served a cup of tea. Then the cabin crew disappeared
for the rest of the journey. It feels this is a low cost airline, though they in fact are the
national carrier. Since LOT is government owned (for the most part), they should truly have
some funds to revamp the image.
