WAW-CDG-WAW return. Outbound flight on Embraer 175 with 3 cabin crew. Flight on time and
service very good. Comfortable seats and clean aircraft. We were given a sandwich, chocolate
and free drinks (including wine and beer). On both flights were given refreshing towels. The
return was on the smaller Embraer 170 and athough it was also clean and modern, the service
(only 2 flight attendants) wasn't as good as outbound.

The plane that I flew on was beyond antiquated (the flight attendant actually had to manually
set up the movie screen). Getting a cold drink was an apparent impossibility. All of the
flights were late. The icing on the cake was an abrupt switch in policy. On my originating
flight, I was permitted to take two carry-on bags, with no weight limit. On the return trip,
I was limited to one carry-on with an insanely low weight limit. I had to unpack all my bags
and re-arrange everything. When I protested the rule, pointing out that women were allowed to
carry on both a purse (most of which were huge) in addition to a carry-on bag, I was told that
"purses do not count". Which means that women get two carry on bags and men get one. You
have been warned.

Brussels-Warsaw, Warsaw-Tel Aviv, and return. The check-in is swift and efficient. The problem
at the airport is the under-sized lounges, and the very few jetties available (so business
class or not, you must wait for some time in a bus which leaves its doors open at minus 15 C
outside). Once inside the plane, you find seats are regular coach, but LOT keep the iddle
seat empty so it is quite comfortable. Food good and abundant, if not innovative. Wines are
mediocre, but Poland is no wine country. Service smiling, so I would definitively fly them
again.

ARN to WAW. Check-in online not available from Sweden, but I selected my seat before and did
self-check in at Arlanda railway station. No queues at baggage drop. Embraer 175, cabin crew
ensured a warm atmosphere on board. Special thanks to an exceptionally attentive purser.
Initially she had to cope with general anxiety of passengers concerned about the possibility
of missing connections. She assured us that the delay on arrival would be minor (it amounted
to 5 minutes indeed) and we got a free hot drink when plane was standing by gate. Onboard
service in Y was generous, choice of newspapers, sandwich, cold/hot drink plus a glass of wine
free. Sadly free bottle of wine in Economy is already a past. In Warsaw the luggage arrived
very quickly. LOT should abandon the policy of sparing costs by parking planes at remote
stands in WAW. It is annoying to see empty T2 jetways from a crowded bus.

ORD-WAW in C. Meal compared to Lufthansa quite decent - large portions, quite good choice.
Choice of drinks ok, but only one type of Polish beer and just one single malt is served.
Choice of wines decent. New seats comparable with LH product, except massage option. IFE
system is an external device with good choice of movies and music - but having to deal with
this I prefer to use my own PC or iPhone. Crew nice and attentive. Not the youngest but quite
professional. What I miss is quick dining option listed in menu. If you ask for it you'll get
it but it should be listed in my opinion. After arrival in Warsaw I was surprised that finally
they started to take care of the 'priority' tags - my luggage was in the first batch on the
belt. I think it's decent value for money.

GDN-FRA-GDN. In the beginning things went pretty wrong. The checkin queue hardly managed not
to block the departures area. Fortunately managed to check online. Waiting few minutes for
late pax in the shuttle resulted in rather uncomfortable and crowded first experience. Cabin
crew not interested in providing appropriate service, just doing their job/duties. E175 was
brand new almost. Clean and fresh. On my way home the crew were experienced but cheerful and
helpful. Food terrible.

Miserable excuse for an airline. Have flown WAW-RZE 7 times this year with baggage not
arriving at RZE 3 times. Aircraft and service ok, just don't fly on the ATR as they ferry fuel
and with full pax load they have to pull bags. Took 30 hours to deliver bags to hotel the
first two times and two days the third time. I could have driven back to Warsaw and picked up the bags.

ATH-WAW-CPH. Check-in at Athens was fast. Embraer 175 well maintained and clean. Seat pitch
was ok. We were offered a small tasteless sandwich in a plastic clear tray, drinks and a
dessert. Transfer center at Warsaw airport efficient. The departure gate for the connection
flight was just 2 minutes walk from the gate we arrived at. Boarding for the flight to
Copenhagen was fast. Embraer 170 was 50% full - offered exactly the same meal. Flight
attendants were helpful on both legs of the trip.

JFK-WAW-LHR the cheapest oneway from NY to Lon at a day's notice. Booked it, checked "window"
as a preference but email confirmation showed an aisle seat. Arrived at JFK 90 mins before dep
time. Check-in line took about 15 minutes, eventually directed to business class desk. Polite
clerk said windows were taken, try at the gate in case a pax assigned to window no-shows.
Security line was nightmarish. Encountered same clerk at the gate, good news, reprinted
boarding pass for 8G. However on reaching my seat, found myself squeezed in beside totally
blank cabin wall. No window, not even a sliver ahead or behind. I was extremely upset, plus
the cabin wall curves inwards, but usually the indentation of the window allows some extra
shoulder room, but the blank wall showed no mercy and I was trapped in the absolute worst seat
in the house. No entertainment to speak of, just anonymous music videos on the main screen.
Meal a long time coming, consisted of sealed clear plastic tray which basically contained the
ingredients for a ham and cheese sandwich in separate compartments. Why not just give me a
sandwich - tray didn't allow room for the hot meal, which was perched on the lid. Weird and
ill-conceived idea. Food was acceptable. Woke up for breakfast - another freaky clear plastic
tray containing sandwich ingredients! Warsaw airport is modern and quiet, but there is no
connectivity, so I had five hours before flight to LHR. Half-full Embraer 170 to LHR, tasty
sandwich (assembled this time!), tea etc. An interesting experience!

You get what you pay for - ORD to WAW an old Boeing 767-300 with non existent entertainment,
dirty bathrooms, old seat compensated by the abundance of free alcohol. Lots of intoxicated
noisy passengers, disturbing others while flight attendants turned blind eye and kept serving
them drinks! 9 hours of worst nightmare! Never again!

GDN-WAW, Alenia ATR-72 in EuroLot livery. A full late-evening flight, with excellent cabin
crew. Clean and comfortable plane. Drink/snack service offered in-flight. Arrived 15 minutes
early, so was on the bus to town 5 minutes before we were due to arrive! Domestic flights
don't get much better than this.

LHR-WAW Economy on 737-500. Flight on time, check-in at T1 a breeze, aging but comfortable
B737 with a good seat pitch. Food a standard sandwich with selection of hot and cold
beverages. Crew nothing to write about but efficient in their duties. LOT offers great new
pricing policy which is great value as well.

BRU-WAW-POZ-WAW-BRU in Economy. Check in at Brussels Airport opened late and already a long
queue waiting when staff arrived. Brussels to Warsaw in a 737. Seats didn’t feel very
comfortable but more legroom than other airlines I flew recently. Staff friendly and a cold
meal and drinks offered. Warsaw to Poznan in an ATR 72. Again seats not comfortable and less
legroom compared to international flight. Drinks offered by friendly crew. Similar experience
on the way back to Belgium. LOT gives the feel of an old style classic airline.
