LHR-WAW, return. An 80% full B737 in the new Star Alliance livery to WAW, and a half-empty
Embraer 170 on the return. Excellent, friendly cabin crew throughout, with good language
skills, but the majority of the passengers on both flights were Polish. The days of the LOT
Cafe box appear to be behind us. Still a good airline to fly with, with BA the closest rival
on this route. They are ahead of the low-cost competition, if not on price then certainly on
choice of flights.

Stockholm-Warsaw-Rome return trip, on E70/ER4. Check-in at ARN quick, LOT uses SAS counters
and the new pier F of Terminal 5. Flights uneventful, service excellent - sandwich, warm and
cold drinks together with a bottle of wine. Flight attendants helpful, their language skills
still depend on their age. Embraer 170 offered high comfort, unlike its smaller ER4 (legroom
OK, but having to load hand-luggage into cargo deck is a nuisance). Short connecting time at
Warsaw Airport (50 minutes) was not a problem. Both aircraft parked near the jetways of new
Terminal 2, so there was still enough time to do some shopping. On the way back however, I had
to use the bus and the gate for ARN was changed three times within half an hour, which was
somehow ridiculous. Business class service in Europe seems not to differ significantly from
Economy, perhaps it's better to save money in this case.

Krakow - Vienna in business. Well, avoid it if you can. No legroom at all in a very loud ATR
aircraft. Food - this same menu for 3 years now, so can be boring. Rather unfriendly cabin
crew. As this was a codeshare flight with Austrian and I bought my ticket with Austrian, a
Expected something more.

I flew business class POZ-WAW-LHR and paid GBP640 for the one-way ticket. On the long WAW-LHR
leg all business class middle seats were full so there was no difference in comfort between
business class and economy - same seat configuration. I could have bought the economy ticket
for GBP104. There was not even priority boarding. My request for a refund of the difference
has been turned down immediately. Perhaps the business class meal was a little better than
economy but GBP536 seems a lot to pay for an airline meal. Its a poor airline - I`ll fly LH
through Munich next time

WAW-AMS on Embraer 175. Good flight, 30% full so quick to board and depart. The plane seemed
new - comfy, side seats, good leg space and larger/rounder windows than usual. Flight was on
time, good service (tea/juice and a sandwich). At 105 euros this one-way flight was also half
the price of the standard night train price from Warsaw to Amsterdam.

Warsaw – Vienna in business. Despite the plane (spacious Embraer 170), everything was wrong.
The purser, the food – I am aware that this was a 1-hour flight, but serving exactly this same
breakfast sets for 3 years may be boring. LOT does not provide C-class passengers with a free
seat next to passengers, which makes the journey quite uncomfortable.

LHR WAW economy. The airline needs a desperate makeover, starting with re-painting the planes
and furnishing interiors to become at least close to 21st century. Service is haphazard,
although I was "thrown" a sandwich and served a cup of tea. Then the cabin crew disappeared
for the rest of the journey. It feels this is a low cost airline, though they in fact are the
national carrier. Since LOT is government owned (for the most part), they should truly have
some funds to revamp the image.

Rome-Krakow via Warsaw in business. In fact, only the first leg was business class - LOT does
not offer C class on domestic routes, despite calling it "business" on your ticket and
boarding pass. Both flights on a comfy Embraer 170, but no seat next to you left unoccupied
(as in LH or AUA), so no difference at all as to seating compared to Y class. Meal from Rome
to Warsaw very average, with a choice between pork and turker, but microscopic quantity.
Service rather non existent and rude. Warsaw to Krakow only water or juice.

WAW to CPH and pleasantly surprised. Friendly service, sandwiches and drinks served with a
smile, plenty of leg room in Economy and comfortable seats with good headrests. The
announcements were in clear and understandable Polish, English and Danish. In comparison, the
opposite direction CPH-WAW was served by SAS who offered no meals, no drinks, lousy seats and
announcements in hard-to-understand English and Swedish.

ORD-WAW as part of a round the world trip. Atrocious service. The extremely rude hostesses or
the fact that they refused to bring down the big screen for the in-flight entertainment,
explaining that it wasn't their problem that I couldn't see a 17 inch TV screen 40 or so rows
in front of me. Food was terrible, seats uncomfortable and the hostesses told you off for
having the windows up and forcibly lowered them. Never again.

WAW to YYZ as part of a round the world sector. The check in staff were rude and uninterested.
Inflight entertainment outdated. Cabin outdated also with little or no effort to update. Seats
torn and dirty. Food much better on short haul than long haul. Tasteless and small portions.
Cabin crew rude after meal service. Trolley set out in galley with help yourself items. No
refreshment of coffee or tea once finished. Cabin crew also uninterested, poor customer
service. Unhelpful when asking for another blanket. No amenities provided for length of
flight.

We flew LOT roundtrip from Newark to Warsaw. Going to Warsaw was awful. 90% of the boarding
announcements in Newark were made in Polish (which I don't speak). Once we boarded we found
out that our seats were the ones in front of the restrooms and next to the galley and they did
not recline at all. 3 hours into the flight the restroom was filthy and smelled. To make
matters worse, passengers used the galley as their own personal pub and hung out in the galley
and drank for hours. They were loud and thought it was funny to take pictures of the two
miserable passengers who as they put it "must have the worst seats on the plane". I was
dissapointed that the airline attendants did not ask the loud passengers to return to their
seats even though they knew we were being distrubed by their behaviour. The attendants seemed
to think that giving us an unlimited supply of chocolate and beer would make the flight
better. On the return trip back to the US, after hearing about the horrible trip to Warsaw,
they seated us in the emergency exit and the flight home was more enjoyable.

WAW-ORD-PHX and back. My guest is an elderly lady. Flight to Phx delayed couple of hours.
Flight back changed unilaterally to a horrible connection that would require 5 hour lay over
in Chicago, while a better connection was available. Booking agents in Warsaw denied the
change, said they could not override the automatic computer assignment. We changed that
reservation telephonically from Phoenix. Clearly, it was possible but no one wanted to help
the old woman. Then it took seven phone calls in an attempt to obtain the locator for the
Phx-Ord leg, operated by the UA. The UA staff very polite but kept saying that they never
received the change in reservation so they cannot assign seat. On their system our guest
still shows on an earlier flight. At LOT, the NY staff rude and incompetent, every time you
call you get a different story, e.g., that due to the difference in computer systems UA would
not get the change for 8 days; that only UA can assign the seat; that UA will not get the
change in reservation because they are not the ones who sold the ticket, but an e-mail from
LOT will be honored at the airport and on and on. Meantime UA says that if there is no
reservation locator, the passenger cannot get a boarding pass. We are still not done. I will
report after our guest returns to Poland, who knows when, if ever. I cannot call any more
because there is no one to talk to. The last person, purportedly the supervisor in the NY
office was so arrogant I have no wish to talk to her or anyone else there again. We will
definitely not be making another trip with that airline, unless something changes there
dramatically.

CDG-WAW-POZ first leg on time, second delayed by 40 mins due to weather conditions. Please. Plenty
of drinks and the crew more than welcoming. LOT is still a nice airline although the airplanes on
domestic flights need urgent replacement.

Economy London-Warsaw-Wroclaw-Warsaw-Stockholm. London-Warsaw with Boeing 737 (interior renewal
would be nice), Warsaw-Wroclaw-Warsaw with old (very) Alenia and Warsaw-Stockholm with Embraer 170.
All flights on-time, fast boarding, nice service. I guess the thing that stands out is catering -
LOT offered nice snacks (cold dinner/breakfast) and a range of drinks. And the flight in Embraer is
very comfy - nice adjustable seats, good pitch.

EWR-WAW-RZE return. Flight attendants polite and efficient, food and drinks above average, seat was
comfortable due to the fact the flight wasn't fully booked and the seat next to me was empty. The
interior was a bit dated and worn. RZE and back on a 737 in good shape. No food service just a drink
and snack. Overall good service, efficient and recommend.

AMS-WAW-GDN in Y. First time on LOT. Good service from AMS to WAW. Clean flight; food acceptable.
WAW to GDN - full flight, old plane, a bit shaky with turbulence. Overall good value for money.

I often use LOT in Y class from Poland to Sweden and Switzerland. These destinations are served
mainly by Embraer 170/175 aircraft, which have very modern, clean and spacious interior with seats
offering comfortable legroom. Seats in Boeing 737s are relatively comfortable but the interior is
old and often very shabby. Minor delays (within 30 minutes) occur quite often. The cabin crew is
very friendly and the service on board satisfactory, with very generous free catering (LOT Cafe).
The customer service is OK. However, LOT ground personel's rude behaviour at the airports (including
the representative in Zurich) is not a rarity - it's like a totally different company. All problems
are usually solved, but the way they treat passengers is unbearable.

Warsaw - Istanbul return in economy. B737-500 not very new but clean and enough place for legs.
Warm food in economy (chicken and pasta) + sandwich (bread, butter, meat and cheese). Back flight on
time, the same airplane and same good food. Nice crew. The ticket was cheap so I would fly with them
again.

CPH-WAW, Economy. LOT is the best choice of airline on this route. SAS is more expensive and offer
less service on board, and the low-cost operator Norwegian has stopped flying on this route. LOT is
using new Embraer 170/175's with plenty of legroom and comfortable seats. The flight is less than
1.5 hours, so you don't need much in terms of catering, however LOT serve free drinks (including
alcohol). On a morning flight (leaving CPH at 09.55) you get a small tray with two pieces of bread,
a butter, a few slices of cheese and ham, and a chocolate bar. Good crew, great plane and on-time.

KRK–PRG via WAW and back on the same day in business. All 4 flights on time, very friendly and
efficient crew. Nice service (WAW to PRG I was the only C-class passenger). However ATR aircraft
look very tired and what’s more important, being rather tall makes it impossible to seat for more
than a few minutes. On drawback – it is now very common to leave the next seat in a row empty in
business. However, LOT does not do so, making service the only difference in business. Especially in
ATR’s, this would certainly improve the overall performance.
