Miami-Quito B767-300 both ways. New Biz seats (lie flat beds) are great, and very comfortable.
AVOD was excellent, with a good size screen. FA's professional, friendly and well groomed.
Food good for a 4 hour dinner flight going - and lunch on the return. My only complaint is the
progression of service. I expect in J to receive a cocktail / wine / beverage before the tray
is plopped in front of me. Their service is all at once. Waited about 45 mins for it to begin
- all via carts, then was asked what I wanted for dinner/ dessert/ beverage - all at the same
time. Linen, dinner (everything on the tray at once) and last a beverage choice. When they
passed by me returning to the galley I asked for a refill on wine - and was denied, and told
they would "restock" and return. That return happened in another 45 mins. (with no refills
offered in between) and then only to collect the trays. This could be a superb product with a
beverage service prior to the tray presentation - and someone walking thru while they are
"restocking" to refill drinks. Same exact flow on both flights.

Toronto - JFK. Both ways they upgraded me to an extra leg room seat. Staff on board don't
speak brilliant English, but they made a great effort and it was service with a smile. Really
enjoyed the flight.

MIA-SCQ-PMC-PUQ Economy. Nothing particularly special, the standard of English spoken by cabin
crew wasn't fantastic, and given no choice but to eat a rice meal despite the flight being
from Miami. This was one of the longest flights in my life, having started originally in MAN-
LHR-MIA with BA, but was made worse when I disembarked in PMC to realise that the half empty
flight was continuiing to PUQ - but I couldn't remain on as I was booked on to the next flight
from PMC-PUQ. This was absolutely random scheduling. Wasn't massively impressed with SCQ
airport either, very difficult to communicate with staff when my baggage went missing.

LIM-SAO-LIM on A319. Although the flight was smooth, I would not recommend flying night
flights, since the seats are very uncomfortable. Also, there is only 1 bathroom in economy.
Regarding the onboard service, leaving at 00:40 from Lima and having a snack/dinner takes time
away from a nap.

LIM to EZE return LAN Peru on excellent fare, and 2 domestic flights (EZE-USH, USH-Calafate)
on LAN Argentina. LIM-EZE on an up to date 767, good sized and comfortable seat in economy
class with generous pitch, good in flight entertainment with on-demand video. Still not up
there with the Asian carriers. Flight attendants pleasant but a little quiet and aloof.
Food the only downside as the lunch was pretty bland. Return flight to Lima was similar with
slightly better food but the flights attendants on this flight were pretty inattentive.
Domestic LAN flights were all fine on A320s. EZE-USH was cancelled and we were rebooked on a
flight 10 hours later. They said the plane we were supposed to use had had a bird strike the
night before - not sure why we could not go on another flight earlier as we were at the
airport at 4:30 in the morning, but nevertheless they gave us a hotel room for the day - a
nice first class one in central Buenos Aires with vouchers for breakfast and lunch. And
organized our transport back to the airport.

Business class SYD-AKL-SYD: new seats and AVOD very good, but service not up to standard for
business class. Lunch consisted of two half sandwiches only, and crew disappeared for most of
the flight. On return, the flight was cancelled and, although contact details were advised,
no-one had bothered to advise that the flight - leaving at 5.50 in the morning (ie getting up
at 3.30am!) - had been cancelled. However, the new business class seats certainly beat those
of other airlines flying across the Tasman, particularly those that use old, domestic-layout
aircraft and charge more than double the price than LAN does. I would also question the One
World alliance as Qantas almost on did not want to know me, and LAN rebooked me on Air New
Zealand, rather than Qantas (which would be it's natural alliance partner). I would recommend
LAN if it could lift its reliability.

SYD to AKL. Overall a very good airline. Food more than adequate. Staff very friendly and
attentive. Cabin crew seemed shy but this could be due to english not being their native
language. Should be encouraged to speak more as their english was quite good. Full flat beds
in premium business and plenty to keep you occupied on the PTV. $1400 for 2 passengers SYD-AKL
return is real value for money.

EZE-LIM-CUZ, Juliaca-LIM and LIM-EZE all in economy. No complaints - aircraft fairly new and
reasonably comfortable, snacks okay, flights on time - these are basic things but not all
airlines in Latin America get them right! EZE-LIM flight in a 767, with individual TV screens
and a good choice of entertainment, much better than return flight in a short haul A320 -
would recommend using the 767 flights. Only significant complaint is that, within Peru and
some other countries, LAN operates dual pricing with only very expensive fares sold to
foreigners - however you can get round this by ensuring all domestic flights are on the same
booking as international flights.

SYD-AKL flight full. Served a snack and full beverage service. Professional cabin crew if not
a little shy due to they english skills. Cabin clean with great entertainment service. Very
cheap at $150. Would certainly use again. Deserves a 4 star rating.

I recently had three flights with them, all operated by LAN Ecuador.MIA-UIO-MIA on a
B767-300ER very well kept with comfortable seats and a very good entertainment system with a
huge selection of music and a good selection of movies and games. Crew mainly composed by
nice ladies, attentive and smiling at the passengers (not such a common feature nowadays).
Both flights on time and uneventful. I cannot judge the quality of the meals since I was not
hungry and did not eat. Late evening flight GYE-UIO delayed one hour due to bad weather
conditions in Quito: constant updates were provided by ground staff and a free snack were
offered during the wait. Overall I had a positive impression of this airline which I find to
be a good choice for South American travels. Total cost of my tickets was EUR 400.

SYD-AKL on A340 in economy. Flight on time, crew friendly and attentive. IFE had good choice
of VOD and music. Food was good quality with real glassware and utensils. Overall very
impressed as this was at least 40% cheaper than the Australian low cost carriers on this
route.

Boked on Iberia code share LHR-MAD-Lima rtn. BA and Iberia contrived to make me miss my
connection, despite having 24 hrs to find my bag and get it to the following day's LAN flight,
Iberia failed to do so - even though problems not of their making LAN Peru staff could not
have been more helpful, didn't try to shift responsibility to the other One World partners (as
Iberia and BA both did), and even shipped my bag beyond Lima to Trujillo. Seat was
comfortable, excellent entertainment system with a decent music selection, food OK, cabin
staff friendly and efficient. Domestic flights were also fine, rebooking due to the delay was
quick and efficient, all flights punctual and on clean aircraft. The only quibble was that it
was freezing on the return flight, don't sit by the window unless you've brought a sweater
(aircon vents are located at the sides). A class act on the ground and in the air.

We have been flying LAN between LAX and SCL for several years, 8 to 12 times per year. The new
seating installed on 767/A340 aircraft is excellent. In economy, space is tight, but are
comfortable, the seat bottom slides forward as the back reclines for extra leg support. The
food is fine, free wine, and the PTV screens with on-demand entertainment are great. The
interior is clean. Premium Business on LAN offers much nicer, more spacious seating.
