AMS-LAX on the upper deck of a 747 on KL601 in May. Service was exceptional, cabin crew was really friendly.
Food was quite good. Overall a superb service considering the price we paid.

Flew FRA-AMS-LAX and return from SFO-AMS-FRA in Business. Pleasant flight. Seats are not latest standard,
but price vs. Lufthansa was half, thus more than ok. Service is alright, entertainment system and movie
selection is really good. On the AMS-LAX leg we had to get a new plane at the Amsterdam airport due to
some mechanical defects which they found out while still at the gate. Within two hours they got people off
the defect plane, brought a new plane to the gate, got people in and took off. They knew what they had to
do.

LAX-AMS-JNB. Both legs in Economy. I was very pleasantly surprised. I received very good service for a very
good fare paid. What is normally a 4hour/15hour (LAX-ATL / ATL-JNB) split flight on Delta became a
10hour/10 hour (LAX-AMS / AMS-JNB) flight on KLM. Even though a little longer, I'd recommend breaking up
the 20 hours into two more equal flights. Both sets of flights crews (out of LAX and out of AMS) were very
professional and ready to serve. The attitude was much better than the US carriers, and I've flown them all,
including the best on the Asian carriers. The food is actually quite tasty, all things considered. They also
don't try to nickle and dime you on alcoholic drinks, and the serve you more often. Even when the attendants
are on a break, they leave out for easy access drinks and snacks and really don't mind you bothering them
with requests. Try that with a US carrier in economy! All in all, I was happily surprised by my KLM flight and
would use them again.

EZE-AMS KL708 and KL708D. Departure scheduled 21.05. We had to wait 4 hours until the pilot told us that a
technical failure in the air-conditioning computer would not allowed us to fly to AMS. We were told that we
had to return to the main terminal to receive information about hotel rooms that were booked. The plane was
a 777-300, nearly full of passengers. Only 3 counters opened, we had to wait hours. We came back to the
city at about 4 am. Wrong numbers, nobody to help us, no real information. We were supposed to wait 2
days for an Alitalia flight was confirmed. No connecting flight in Amsterdam to GVA. One more night in a
hotel in Amsterdam.

Flew Amsterdam to Lima return. The service from start to finish from both ground and cabin crew was
excellent all round. The plane was a 777 and although bore some small signs of not being the newest in the
fleet was well maintained and clean. Throughout the long flight the entertainment was great with a wide
selection of TV/movies/music. The food was excellent by in-flight standards and numerous snacks and drinks
were brought round by the friendly staff frequently. The extra leg room we enjoyed in economy comfort' made
the long flight much more pleasant.

DUS-AMS-DOH return on Fokker 70 and Airbus 330-200. Really can't complain! All flights were on time.
Though we had a very short connection-time in AMS we were helpfully guided by the ground staff through the
overcrowded customs to get our flight in time. The planes were clean and in a good condition, though IFE was
a little bit outdated and the legroom was not too roomy. However, the staff were very friendly with a good
information-policy from the cockpit throughout the flight. The meal was average, nothing special but it tasted
good. All in all it was a very pleasant experience for a really valuable price. Would absolutely recommend
KLM!

JFK to AMS (check-in at Delta). Because of medical condition, Chose seats carefully several weeks before the
flight, got to airport 3 hours before departure, found out the seats have changed. They told us the aircraft has
changed. Never informed us by email. Asked them what good is preflight check-in from home then and they just kept
apologizing. This has happened before, and is not isolated incident. Found out the second flight also has changed,
and that they cannot do anything because Delta's system is not connected to KLM's in Amsterdam and the company has
a lock-on the system from the Delta person's exact words! Asked them what good is your merger then and was told
"Oh, It's not a merger, it's a Partnership". Do you really want to hear such excuses when you get to the airport
and want peace of mind? They've been going down the hill in past several years.

Amsterdam to Chicago. I flew KLM twice on my last trip to Europe ending on June 9, 2012. I had booked months in
advance and picked my seat, which stayed the same until I got to the airport. I was not happy that the seat had
changed (the air plane configuration had not changed) and asked to be re-seated but they stated that the flight was
full. It turned out that the seat I was given was fine, even thought it was the last seat on the plane; at least
it was still an aisle seat. I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help make my
flight enjoyable. I have not had such an enjoyable flight for a long time. This airline is the way many of our
airlines were in the US years ago, but no longer. Largely my great experience was due to several very good flight
attendants.

TXL-AMS-BKK Comfort Class. First sector fine, 737, basic service and very friendly crew and fine for this short
flight. Was checked in by very friendly Air France agent at TXL. KLM ground agents at AMS again were more
than helpful and provided all assistance required in a very friendly manner. AMS-BKK was 777. Seats for
Comfort Class are economy seats with extra legroom which was great but the seat became very
uncomfortable after about 20mins. I don't know if it was just my seat but I could feel the railing under the
padding and it became worse when I reclined. I enjoyed the extra room but the seat just made the journey
unpleasant. Service from the crew was good, still not a fan of all the disposable "everything" but the food
was ok and breakfast was particularly good this time however was not offered any bakery item but I just
think they missed my row when offering. Aircraft was clean and tidy, good entertainment and they seem to
have improved their headphones. In all was happy with everything except the seat comfort.

My partner and I flew from LIM-ZRH via AMS. We booked an economy comfort seat and upgraded to business
class. We got 2 seats in the middle. The configuration on the Boeing 777 is not so nice for a business class
(2-3-2). The seat design is very outdated and the seat itself is comfortable only in the upright position, the
sleeping position 170 degrees is very uncomfortable and blocks the access to the aisle for the pax sitting
next to you. The meal sounds nice on paper (menu) but once they came to take the order they informed us
that those choices weren't available. Instead we got a very poor and unprofessional description of the
options which tasted very bad. 80% of passengers didn't eat more then a few bites. Staff were nice but a bit
cold.

AMS-LHR. Economy, check-in and seat selection was done through KLM iPhone Apps and Schipol immigration
was a breeze. Boarding was fast and efficient as the crew were relaxed, professional and very friendly.
Take-off a little bit late, but landed on time. Snack and drinks were provided. Seat was very comfortable and
leg room was more than enough for 6ft. Simple, professional, friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

LAX-AMS-BRS. Regular flyer with gold elite status but not for much longer, cheerful cabin crew is simply a
smoke screen for what is now a pretty poor experience all round. Food is poor and checking in via the KLM
website takes at least 3 attempts and then fails. Its a poor look out when the Delta part of sky team
provides a better flight experience all round these days. The only saving grace here is lounge access at
Schipol, at least you can have a decent breakfast. Seriously looking at other options now.

Flew BHX-AMS-JRO on A330-200 in premium economy. Booked my seat online but was disappointed that all
front seats were taken, however when boarding, noticed only 2 of front seats were occupied and was able to
change mine from the one I had in row 2. Cabin crew very helpful and polite, food ok. On return journey, the
same situation regarding seat allocation existed, again in front row of premium economy, but was again
allowed to change. Another very good flight. On our return we got to airport at around 6.30, flight left at
8.20pm, to fly to Dar-es-Salam, we had been expecting a meal of some sort once we boarded, but did not get
one, we were all therefore left very hungry until breakfast appeared which to be honest I didn't eat - very
unappetising.

Hamburg-Amsterdam-Atlanta. The Economy comfort seat had extra leg room that made the trip quite
bearable. I did not pay extra for the seat but reserved it ahead not really expecting to get it. I guess I was
lucky. However, I tried out the regular economy seat of a fellow traveller out of curiosity and legroom was
pretty tight (I am only 5'10). On the transatlantic flight, food was good and served often, I found the main
course a bit bland but everything was very fresh. I enjoyed the ice cream round and the after dinner liquor
round. The entertainment system was a bit outdated but worked satisfactorily. The inflight personnel was
excellent, the ground personnel in Amsterdam, however, was particularly rude. The flight, however, was
great, I will fly KLM again.

I fly ORD-AMS-STR for family visits at least once a year. Chaos at ORD and AMS for departure (arrive early).
Boeing 747combi planes (passengers and freight) have nominal legroom and often have components under
the seat in front of which makes stretching out legs impossible. Aisle seats seem less obstructed. Ample
bathrooms, decent beverage service and alcoholic beverages (no charge). Entertainment screens for each
passenger included, movies, TV and language courses to kill the hours.

AMS-NRT: 747-400. Boarding was a bit slow, however the flight took off on time. Cabin nice and seats were
comfortable, the ptv was a bit outdated with the "ok" button being a bit stiff but I wasn't too bothered by
that. Food was served to us regularly which was great and the cabin crew were extremely helpful and friendly.
Great flight and great airline.

Two experiences with KLM both two thumbs down. First returning from Ghana via Amsterdam to Toronto.
Amsterdam has a very cumbersome full security check at the gate in Amsterdam and a tight boarding window.
We had a 6+ hour layover in Amsterdam and arrived at the gate well in advance, long lines and no
movement, in the end we found out that the plane had been downsized but KLM was not forthcoming with
this info. When we got to the Customer Service area they were understaffed and rude and less than helpful.
Most recent issue was very similar again returning from Ghana, diverted to Barcelona due to mechanical
problems, inadequate and rude staff, long lines, no controls directing people to Customer Service agents, just
terrible!

Flew Amsterdam - Hong Kong in economy comfort class. Boarding took a little while as there seemed to be a
lot of disorganised people at the security checkpoint. Seats were very comfortable and provided good recline
for an economy plus product. Service was friendly and we got offered regular drinks. Dinner was a chicken
stir fry and was delicious. Breakfast option was a little strange and was a scrambled egg with zucchini. A
good selection of movies was available and the toilets were kept clean throughout the flight.

Flew KWI-AMS-IAH then IAH-AMS-KWI. I didn't understand any of the Dutch over the intercom. Previously
flew same flight with other carriers. Planes were MD-11, A330 (2x), B747. I have nothing but good things to
say about the experience. Food was great, drinks were plentiful, IFE was fine, but most importantly - the
friendliness was probably the best I've seen, and it was consistent across all 6 crews. Very highly
recommended.

I recently flew between Amsterdam and Beijing on a China Southern codeshare flight. The plane was modern
and the entertainment system first class, with many films available. The food was refreshing and tasty, and
the choice was good. My husband and I both chose different meals and I liked that every item on the tray
was different for each meal, which not every airline does. Staff were pleasant enough, but I did see them roll
their eyes once or twice when some nearby passengers were requesting various things. This didn't seem very
professional. Overall, I would recommend them and fly with them again.

PER-KUL-AMS-KUL-PER. Selected KLM because they were cheapest, good deal from Perth. Perth to KUL on
Malaysian Airlines codeshare with KLM: very good flight, good seat and meal. Onwards flight was upgraded to
economy plus during check-in - narrow seat but good recline and legroom. Meal very nicely packaged and was
very good. Had an excellent 9 hours sleep. Return flight was a night flight, did not bother to upgrade this
time and I thoroughly regret that. Seat could only recline a token 5 cm or so with limited leg room. Ordered
an a la carte meal which was excellent and enjoyable, but then had to spend 11 hours trying to sleep while
spine was contorted in a twist. Good things about KLM: price, meals and comfort in economy + although this
extra comfort negates the price advantage and makes it more expensive than Singapore Airlines economy.
Bad things: the economy seats. Flight staff had a disposition which one could describe as being slightly
bothered with having to serve me. Although the package deal seems good overall, the seat recline on the trip
back plus the staff disposition have put me off trying this again, it will be Singapore Airlines next time.

My wife and I flew from Manchester to Taipei via Amsterdam and back with KLM in business class. I was very
concerned that we'd made a mistake but I have to say we had an extremely pleasant flight. Much is made
about the 170 degree beds, but we both found them extremely comfortable and both slept well on both long
haul legs. Maybe never having travelled on lie-flat beds I have nothing to compare against, but we had
absolutely no complaints regarding the seats. The food was top quality; although slightly better on the way
out of Amsterdam than the return while the cabin crew were everything we wanted - pleasant, friendly,
welcoming and efficient.

Long flight from SAO to AMS. New Boeing 777-300ER, very nice entertainment system. Nice cabin crew.
Quantity of served food was ok but the food wasn't very tasty and the big negative was the weak air

I used to fly KLM between KUL and AMS return. Cabin crew are unfriendly, the food is bad. Both ways was a
night flight. The crew did not bother to provide water for passengers for the night, when you call them to ask
for water, the call was ignored. Seats are uncomfortable regardless of whether you buy more leg room or not.
Boarding in AMS is painful. To be fair, service in business class is very good.

AMS-MAD then BCN-AMS open jaw on B737-800s both ways. I booked economy but was able to pay for a
discounted upgrade to business class on the outbound leg. Both flights were smooth and on time. The
business class catering was of a high standard and plentiful. In economy, the sandwich was just okay, but
welcome nonetheless. On the return flight in particular, the crew was very friendly and all-smiles. I would
certainly recommend KLM based on these flights.

MEX-AMS-MUC return. Long hauls on B744 and AMS-MUC-AMS on B737-700. I am 1.85m and it was the first
time in Y, that my knees did not touch the seat in front, when reclined. For Y, legroom was ok and the seats
comfortable. Service on MEX-AMS-MEX legs was excellent, the crew friendly and helpful even though both
flights were packed. Two meals provided which were ok in quality, plenty of rounds with juice and water
during the flights and snacks available at the galleys at all times. IFE is sufficient with enough movies and
TV shows for an 11 hour trip. On AMS-MEX, IFE had to be restarted 2 hours into the flight, which took 30
minutes, but other then that, no problems. Both flights on time. AMS-MUC-AMS was uneventful, with a flight
time of 1 hour, crew friendly and both flights on time.

AMS-NRT-AMS on 747 combi. Due to online check-in we dropped off our bags quickly. As my partner is Flying
Blue elite we used KLM Crown Lounge in AMS. Boarding very efficient and was even announced in Japanese.
They served a snack first which was nothing special and a drink. Later they served dinner, which was very
good. Seats were good, I had enough leg space but they could not be reclined much. IFE was very good with
many choices. Cabin crew checked regularly if we needed anything and were very friendly. Our luggage arrived
very fast and Japanese immigration was very efficient.

I travel KLM 5 times a year from London to Amsterdam. A short flight so difficult to rate in some ways but I
have never had cause to complain about the service. Flights are usually on time and you generally land at
/depart from a decent gate at Amsterdam. Cabin crew are always courteous and the complimentary glass of
wine is always welcome after the trails of Heathrow! If you book in advance they usually work out cheaper
than many of the budget airlines.

AMS-SIN Business Class on FFP. Plane is B777-300. Seating in Bussiness Class is 2-3-2. Outbound had 3J - a
window seat, that does not allow exit when aisle seat passenger is in rest mode. Return on 3F (aisle seat
middle), unlimited access, but now bothered by passenger in middle seat. Very cramped Business Class. As I
was on FFP I cannot complain about price, but when paying for my ticket I would choose Lufthansa or Air
France.

GLA-AMS-PEK-AKL. Everything went well until we were left stranded in Beijing. KLM did not bother to tell us
that they knew 6 weeks before travelling that our last flight had been cancelled and moved forward 24 hours.
We are almost L1000 out of pocket as a result but they refused to accept any liability. It would appear that
they can take a booking and make any changes without telling their passengers and leave you stranded
without accepting any responsibility. We could have avoided a lot of upset and expense if we had been
advised at the same time KLM were.

HKG-AMS on 744 Combi. After a not so pleasant AMS-HKG flight in premium economy I used the opportunity
to upgrade my flight back. The business class cabin and seats belong on a short haul nineties fleet. KLM has
yet to discover the lie flat seat or any modern cabin layout. The 2x2 seat layout leaves no room for privacy
for the solo traveller. The window seat is left without aisle access when the person next to you has their seat
in relax or sleep mode. The seat is only decent sitting upright, when converted to relax or sleeping mode you
start sliding downwards making it very uncomfortable. Food was another huge disappointment. The menu is a
fancy piece of paper but in reality leaves you fewer options then economy class on Asian or Middle East
carriers. Business class should serve better food than an economy tray scooped out on a porcelain platter. In
flight entertainment was good, nice range of programs and hardware okay (bit outdated but nice size screen).
Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall KLM business class is a nineties product and should have no place in
2012.

AMS-HKG on 744 Combi. Being used to Asian or Middle East carriers, I can only feel disappointed with the
KLM product. Seated in the first row of Premium Economy cabin I still exited the plane feeling back broken.
Extra legroom is nice, however the seat itself doesn't feel great and the extra recline did not compensate
that for me. Food and drinks not bad but nothing to become cheerful about. Inflight entertainment has nice
choice but the hardware used has passed it's best before date. Inflight staff was genuinely friendly and
helpful, however also invisible during the lights out part of the flight. Overall I feel this product isn't fit for a
12 hours flight.

Connected on KL in AMS for onward journey to IAH. This was an excellent experience compared to partners
Delta - I came on a DL flight from BOM to AMS. Seats were not very comfortable, but now all carriers are like
that. IFE was great; food was nice and the staff very polite and attentive. Next time I make any
transcontinental flights, KLM is going to be the top of my list.

YYZ to AMS on a refurbished Boeing 747-400 with individual PTVs. Cabin crews were generally friendly. The
hot meal served was delicious. However, the continental breakfast (a small muffin, a yoghurt and an OJ) was
a bit dull. Inflight entertainment was quite good with foreign language games, AVOD movies and music
(including Dutch music). The downside was that the seat was a bit cramped.

BRS-AMS-YYC. Bristol to Amsterdam went well, and connecting at Schiphol was fairly easy. Long haul flight
was A330, seats were as comfortable as can be expected, staff were friendly and attentive. I was asleep
when the meal was served but they kept it warm for me. Entertainment system had a small screen, but there
was plenty on offer. On the whole I look forward to flying KLM in the future.

ABZ-AMS-KUL-MEL-SIN-AMS-ABZ. Flight involved partner airlines KLM, Malaysia and Qantas. The reservation
process was straightforward and I booked a full-flex fare ticket. As a Gold Elite Flying Blue member, the only
advance seat reservation I could make was SIN-AMS operated by KLM. On arriving at AMS, I asked staff in the
KLM lounge if I could upgrade the AMS-KUL flight to business. They said it was not their responsibility to do
that and sent me to the Malaysia desk. Malaysia staff said it was the responsibility of KLM. Neither showed
any interest in helping me, so I had to give up. On the return journey, I couldn't use mileage to upgrade on
the Qantas flight, KLM would not let me upgrade with miles on SIN-AMS flight. This is not the first journey
with KLM/Flying Blue partners where I have had this and other kinds of problems relating to KLM and its
relationship with Flying Blue, which to be frank is a shambles.

AMS-LIS-AMS in Economy. Being FB Gold Elite usually get a better seat at the front of the cabin. AMS-LIS
was a fairly full flight with Russian football supporters, which meant no alcohol served (excuse was mistake
in catering). LIS-AMS was once again fairly busy, but staff good with accommodating passengers wanting to
sit together. Good catering and staff friendly. Typically KLM keeps the first few rows of economy for its
frequent flyers and tries to keep the middle seat open as a perk, but this is not always the case and is
becoming quite frustrating when there are many open seats in the rest of the aircraft.

Flown Vancouver-Amsterdam 4 times in the last 2 years. Overall, flights have been pleasant and efficient.
The seat comfort in economy class isn't great, but I haven't found anything better on competing airlines. The
food is good, staff are usually polite and friendly. Inflight entertainment system has plenty to offer.
