TRV-COK-TRV in Economy Class. Excellent flying experience as always - all flights on time and really friendly crew on these short flights - it is astonishing how they manage to provide a full meal service on these flights of less than 1 hour. And it's a nice meal too!

Just flew on the recently rebranded "Kingfisher Red" service HYD-MAA-HYD - basically, the old LCC Deccan. Had a great experience with the staff at HYD. No line at check-in, and when I asked the agent where the new McDonald's was, she said it was downstairs, outside the document check at the door, and that security usually doesn't let you go back down once you have a boarding pass. However, she offered to have a staff go with us to ask the security staff if it would be OK - he escorted us back past security, watched our bags while we ate, and then escorted as back through! Terrific service you won't get anywhere else. Check-in at MAA was a little odd. The flight to HYD was nowhere to be seen on the departures board, but on our way to the baggage screening, a Kingfisher rep took our ticket receipt and checked us in on a hand-held machine, and gave us our boarding passes (though we still had to go to a desk to drop off the bag). The flight was still nowhere to be seen on any of the departure boards, but when asked, a rep confirmed the flight was on time and said we could go through security. Flights themselves were OK - friendly FAs, but really tight seat pitch, but what's there to expect really on a 1 hour flight. Big issue with this airline is timekeeping - as has been typical of Kingfisher lately, both flights were late, the outbound by 40 minutes and the inbound by 20.

Unexpectedly had to fly Kingfisher from Varanasi to Delhi (1 hour) and Delhi to Agra (40 mins) after our train was cancelled. Had no idea what to expect but really impressed by this airline. Excellent curry provided on the longer flight, comfortable and clean new aircraft with seat back tv. Hostesses very pleasant with impeccable English on both flights. Wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again if I'm ever back in India.

Calcutta - Bagdogra return. Excellent service from Kingfisher on this very short, 70 minute flight. Great cabin crew, a choice of hot meals, excellent check in staff. Really, nothing could be improved. A great product, and a model for other airlines.

Flew kingfisher Visak - Hydrabad on a short flight (ATR 72 i think). Excellent service, attention to detail and amazing looking cabin crew. Top notch.

DEL-BLR-DEL. Kingfisher Airlines is reinventing itself in delightful ways with new trays and extra portions of food and red cloth napkins. Cabin experience superlative. Very warm service, superior lounge experience and highly recommended seats and IFE. Kingfisher is truly five star!

Mumbai to Delhi, just a short flight and changed from Jet Airways. Kingfisher is streets ahead of Jet for standard of cabin service, and this short trip showed me how much Jet has fallen in recent months. Great meal and inflight entertainment on Kingfisher (great beer!) and the cabin attendants are not just beautiful, but gave great service. Will use again and strongly recommended.

Bombay to Kolhapur. Almost bizarre pre-flight experience. Arrived in good time at Bombay Airport Terminal 1A, where I was essentially told to read my ticket more carefully, as it would have told me that the flight was on "Kingfisher Red" and would leave from Terminal 1B. Guess what? My ticket clearly stated "Kingfisher Airlines" and all the "helpful" ground staff were unable to prove otherwise. After 30 minutes an airline coach came to move a bunch of passengers who had suffered a fate similar to mine to the correct terminal. Once there, a 20-something check-in girl insisted I sign a limited release form for my suitcase, which at the time was not only brand new but had been carried by LH to Bombay the night before without comment or damage. Since then, I have taken another 12 flights, and no airline has found any problem with my bag. When we finally got to the aircraft it was hot inside - no ground A/C unit had obviously been connected. Flight itself OK (what can go wrong on a one-hour flight, anyway). Kingfisher have lost the plot when it comes to ground services.

What a fantastic airline, and truly worthy of its 5-Star ranking. Okay, this London to Bangalore trip was in Kingfisher First, and comfort is simply great, but the staff service at the airport and on the plane was just fantastic. Smiling, genuine and caring and nothing, just nothing was too much trouble. And for the foodies like me, the meals served were the best I've had on a flight. 10 out of 100 does this airline justice.

Udaipur to Mumbai. This was the best short flight I have taken! Not only do Kingfisher staff greet you at the airport, they assisted us with the check in - my father was in a wheelchair and they took care of him as if he was a VIP, very impressed. The food was delicious. I hope they maintain their standards on the long-haul flights.

BOM-DEL return trip in Economy. Great experience with new, spotlessly clean planes. Personal IFE with live TV on all flights, unlike Jet Airways which only has personal IFE on certain internal flights. Excellent food served, full hot meal with a choice of veg and non-veg. Soft drinks served before take-off and more available throughout the flight. Punctuality was hit-and-miss but more due to the congestion currently plaguing Bombay and Delhi airports. Excellent ground handling with bags arriving promptly. The best part is that they have Kingfisher personnel waiting outside the airport terminals to assist you with baggage and check-in formalities.

TVM-BLR one-way nonstop. Flight was delayed by about an hour, but it was more due to the inadequacies of Bangalore International Airport than due to the airline that the plane was late in reaching Trivandrum. Turn-around time was good and we were off in no time. Flight was on a new and clean ATR-72. Cabin service was excellent and included a full meal for just an hour long domestic flight. Only complaint is that the cabin was kept at a very cold temperature, about 19 degrees according to my watch.

SXR-DEL in Kingfisher Class (Y). Prior to my trip I was notified by phone in the UK that the flight number had been changed. Flight was delayed by nearly an hour, but updates were announced regularly. A321 was a little shabby looking inside and my seat would not lock in the upright position. The food had not been heated through properly, but crew were professional and friendly. I hope they don't start to let things slip, as flying with them is generally a great experience.

I had a decent experience on Kingfisher (Chennai-Trivandrum, Cochin-Bangalore) but it was not as stellar as the other reviews here. Yes, the planes were new and clean and the service good, but nothing blew me away enough for 5 stars. Perhaps in comparison to other airlines Intra-India it is worth five stars.

BOM-CCU-BOM. Excellent new planes with personalized TV in each seat. The TV displayed programs aired live using DishTV. Seats were comfortable and in-flight service impeccable. Will definitely fly again!
