Bangalore to Kolkata. The flight was actually operated by Kingfisher Red, which is the low-
cost version of Kingfisher Airlines, and plane was used as ex-Air Deccan aircraft. I knew
that Kingfisher Red flights serve a meal, so I was expecting a kind of snack but was actually
a hot meal of veg biryani which was tasty. Rounds of water came several times. Cabin
attendants top-notch.

LHR-BOM in Kingfisher First on A330. The cabin crew was outstanding and made for a pleasant,
comfortable flight. Overall a first-rate product. I have one issue regarding the seating,
when all seats are laid out into flat beds, those in the window seats have to step over the
adjacent seat to get out. Another minor quibble is the trashy in-flight magazine.

BOM-GOI-BOM in Kingfisher First. Service was first class and reminiscent of what it used to be
like in the halcyon days of air travel! Pleasant, courteous staff were on hand to cater for
any requests and ground handling to die for - all luggage (including on board hand luggage)
carried and passengers escorted right to outside of terminal to whatever onward transport had
been arranged. Comfortable seating for domestic leg and equivalent in width and pitch to
international business class - puts BA Club Europe to shame! Definitely the airline of choice
on any route in the Indian subcontinent.

A330 to Singapore from Mumbai. Plush aircraft with impressive service. There were only 2
things that let me down - the IFE and the lavatory. IFE was good, but the choice of movies
seemed a bit old, the system response time is slow, and the games are lame! The lavatory was filthy.

Bangalore to Mumbai Business Class. I was suffering with very bad back. Staff from departure
lounge to receipt of baggage in Mumbai were excellent, outstanding customer service. Flight
attendants a dream.

TRV-BOM Kingfisher Red on A320. The cabin did have a low-cost feel to it with hard, non-
reclining seats, but a nice flight with well-presented and hard working cabin crew. A tasty
"100% natural ingredients" snack/meal served. Flight arrived late in Bombay due to air traffic
congestion (one runway closed) but luggage delivered quickly on arrival. Ticket price a real
last-minute bargain. I would fly them again.

BOM-LHR which I joined after flight from Bangkok. Cabin crew on this flight were excellent, up
and down the plane throughout the flight with refreshments. Who on dreamt up the idea of
putting touch screens in the back of an airline seat, particularly when games like poker can
be played on them! Every time the person playing jabs the screen, the passenger in that seat
feels it. Another downside to is lack of toilets, 4 for perhaps 200 people. Staff levels on
this flight were minimal and the crew worked very hard.

London-Delhi-Delhi-London the experience was better that expected. The food was good, did not
get the seat I wanted but crew were attentive, helpful and friendly. They were up and down the
aircraft the whole flight. Well done, keep it up.

LHR-DEL-LHR. Smooth check-in, excellent staff, lovely flight. The only thing that Kingfisher
could improve on is the availability of indian non-veg meals. By the time the crew reached the
back rows, it was no longer available. Another point worth working on could be the choice of
movies in the IFE. Mostly old. That said, the IFE was excellent, 10" screens in economy. The
seats were spacious and the leg space more than other airlines.

Colombo to Chennai in Kingfisher First. Lovely flight attendants and delicious meal,
appropriate to mid afternoon departure. Would definitely recommend this carrier for travels in
South Asia. It would be nice if the quality of Indian airports could match that of the new
carriers.
