HYD-DEL Kingfisher First. Service upon arriving at the airport was great. Kingfisher
personnel waiting at the car arrivals area, helped get our (considerable) baggage on to carts,
and escorted us to the check-in desk and then to the start of the security line. Check-in was
easy, the agent was friendly, and helped add our partner FF numbers in the system. Lounge at
HYD is good sized, with a decent selection of food available. Comfort in the front cabin of
the A320 is great, with plenty of pitch. It was reminiscent of the old-style international
business class in AA, Lufthansa, etc. Food selection and quality much better than in Economy,
with a choice of western or Indian selections (one veg and one non-veg each). I had the
chicken curry which was quite good. Service by the FAs was impeccable, and our bags were the
first off the carousel at DEL. The major problem was with timekeeping, again, and the poor
communication provided regarding the delay. Kingfisher decided to delay the flight to wait
for connecting passengers from Kochi, but yet the chose to start boarding early, then make us
sit on the tarmac until they arrived. The captain informed us once about 5 minutes before our
scheduled eparture of the delay, promising the pax would arrive in about 10 minutes and we'd
be on our way. Of course, "5 more minutes sir" was then the refrain for the next 30 minutes
until the connecting pax finally arrived and we were on our way. Then, since we missed our
slot at DEL, we had the pleasure of circling the airport for nearly 30 minutes, with no
communication or apology provided. All told, we ended up with a delay of nearly 70 minutes.
Kingfisher needs to get this sorted out; considering they run most of their ops through
chronically delayed DEL and BOM, it seems more realistic schedules are in order.

Delhi-Bangalore-Colombo return. Very impressed with Kingfisher : crew courteous, friendly and
efficient, clean and comfortable aircraft. Good meal selection as well as in flight
entertainment. The outbound flights were better than incoming flights. The service on the
Colombo to Bangalore flight was rather slow and ran out of meal options. Also the aircraft
from Colombo to Bangalore was a former Deccan plane so not so great but it was very clean. My
only complaint is about their ground staff who failed to inform me on the outbound journey
that I had to collect my luggage at Bangalore airport and check it in again despite having a
through check in tag!

LHR-BOM-LHR. Kingfisher does deserve it's five star rating. Priority Check-In at both LHR and
BOM were effortless (regular line at LHR was huge as they were checking in Mumbai and
Bangalore flights). Flight from LHR: Holideck lounge provided snacks and alcoholic/ non-
alcoholic beverages - average. Boarding effortless and received two drinks prior to take off.
Salvatore Feragamo Toiletry kit spectacular and well appreciated. Menus, Bose Noise Cancelling
Headphones and a very wide newspaper selection passed out before take off. Meal service was
dine-on-demand and not extremely efficient. Meal was one of the best I have had on an
international flight. IFE very good but selection of films lacking. Turndown service was great
as well, as was the bed make up service before breakfast. Cabin staff were very good but did
seem mechanical; I didn't really feel a sense of natural warmth. Only negative aspect of the
flight. Return flight mirrored this but the lounge in Mumbai was better.

LHR-BOM-LHR. Not a great start from Heathrow Airport with very poor customer service.
The flight was good. Food decent and portion sizes good too. The entertainment system was
remarkable with lots of choice and games. Cabin crew service a bit disappointed as I was
expecting better. The return was much better. Mumbai airport service and assistance excellent.
Cabin crew were also better and helpful.

Heathrow-Bangalore-Colombo return. I agree with most of the comments here for this journey.
Very good food, free alcoholic drinks and touchscreen monitor. Very attentive staff. Would
definitely recommend Kingfisher.

London - Bangalore - Colombo. I had never heard of kingfisher until I started looking for
good value flights. We were very impressed. Excellent food, comfortable seats and good range
of movies and interactive touch screen entertainment. Our 7 year old thought it was amazing!
Would definitely recommend them.

LHR-BOM-LHR- Economy class. My first trip with Kingfisher and wasn't disappointed. The airline
has an excellent product in comparison to others and no corners appear to have been cut in
economy class (presentation and quality of meals is excellent). A word of caution if you are
going to travel with this airline make sure your reservation dates are final. I tried to
return on another date and the surcharges were astronomical ! The A330 has a rather cramped
cabin and I found seat pitch narrow and difficult to get comfortable. IFE system is top notch
but let down by the rather poor quality of movie choices available. I was also disapointed
that the onboard cameras weren't switched on during the return flight. Outgoing flight cabin
crew showed apathy - doesn't cost anything to smile and welcome your passengers aboard. Return
crew were much more enthusiastic and did an excellent job. For these reasons I am unable to 10
marks which is a shame as I do believe the product is worthy of full marks. Is Kingfisher
value for money - certainly it is.

I had a fantastic holiday in Sri Lanka and flying Kingfisher Airlines definitely contributed
towards making it so enjoyable. When we arrived at Bangalore we were met off the flight and
escorted through security. The ground staff in both directions were very courteous. I was very
impressed with professionalism of cabin crew. The staff were polite and friendly. I liked the
inflight meal. Kingfisher Airlines was definitely 5 Star and was the best economy service
flight I have flown on.

London-Bangalore-Colombo return. I and my wife found both journeys very good. Seats were fine
and entertainment maybe not 2008/9, but helped pass the time quickly. Staff were helpful,
food excellent and drinks as much as you want. We found checking in online really helpful
ensuring we got seats together. Overall both very happy with the Kingfisher experience where
they say "we are guests" on their airline not passengers. It was a shame some of the people
didn't treat the plane as guests, and yes there are some unruly children at times. Ear plugs
useful, but responsibility lies with the parents I would say! Would recommend the airline and
would fly again with them.

We travelled London to Colombo with Kingfisher. Because of the 5* rating our travel company
said we wouldn't need extra leg room - but it was very cramped. So, on our return we asked the
rep to find out about an upgrade but he had great difficulty doing this and we were told to
ask at Bangalore. On reaching the gate I asked about an upgrade but was told that I should
have booked it two days earlier! I explained that we had tried but it was Tamil New Year etc
and we'd been told to book in Bangalore. Absolutely no chance. The woman was adamant although
I was standing there with my credit card and she said upgrade seats were available. We had a
terrible journey back with out of control children. Finally we managed to find two empty seats
ourselves and moved. I spoke to the Purser who said she could do nothing and "they're just
children." Another person moved into our empty seats and soon moved! The man in front of one
child stood in the aisle as his seat was constantly kicked. Our flight was 11.45 am and after
the meal had been served, the crew came and shut all the window blinds and turned off our
lights! We were supposed to sleep all afternoon! No choice unless you wanted to watch
Casablanca or Bollywood. I asked for another drink to help me sleep and was told I couldn't
have any more after that for an hour! I'm a 60 year old woman who doesn't normally drink
during the day but there was no chance of sleep with the hyperactive child in front.
Kingfisher seem to have a policy on alcohol but not on unruly children. The staff were less
than helpful or understanding. Other passengers in the front part of the plane had similar
problems with children behaving badly. This truly was the worst flight of our lives.I
complained direct to Kingfisher but got a standard response and no explanation why we couldn't
upgrade at the airport.

Delhi-Hyderabad-Bangalore, great service, great food. Check in at Delhi was good at the club
class desk. The departure of the flight was delayed for 2 hours due to weather condition at
both Delhi and Bangalore but the delay was announced in advance on the airline website and at
the time of check in. Hyderabad - Bangalore was on a former Deccan plane with Kingfisher crew,
excellent service. Compared to European and Us airlines, the airline tops them all.

Delhi-Jaipur-Delhi. Booked this flight several months ago. The scheduled departure time was
0805. Arrived at airport at 0700 only to find the departure time had been changed to 1140! No
e-mail had been sent to inform me of the schedule change and as I had booked through their own
website this was inexcusable. On complaining to a supervisor I was met with a shrug and
complete indifference. To add insult to injury the flight was then delayed for a further 45
minutes due to late arrival of the incoming aircraft. The flight itself was OK and the return
flight was on time. The only positive point I can report is the opening of the new Domestic
Terminal 1D which is clean, airy, and very modern. Everything the dingy, grubby 1A was not. I
realise that this airline has built up a strong reputation but my experience was a poor one.
