London-Mumbai return. Seats, food and service was just ok. They only just got round to serving 1 round of drinks. Staff were not as friendly as advertised. On the outward journey we had problems on the screens of all 3 seats booked. All in all we made a bad choice flying this airline.

DEL-LKO Kingfisher Red. Low fare economy seating with seat pitch better than other Indian low fare economy. Although Kingfisher will soon change to full service economy. Warm and smiling stewardesses, very engaged with sorting out overhead cabins on a full flight. With warm food to buy on board and pre-assigned seating, Kingfisher had a good low fare option. Standards are the same inspite of financial struggles being faced by the airline.

LHR-DEL, DEL-DED return in first on international and red on internal flights. Check-in and lounge at LHR ok. Flight good and service attentive but robotic, rushed to have dinner and woken too early for breakfast service. Food ok, IFE poor with few newer movies. Internal flights basic. No sight of Kingfisher valet service on arrival to help as promised. On return check-in staff at DED had little idea and could not complete check-in for DEL- LHR connection so at DEL had to leave the terminal exit and come back in and check-in - again no help from ground staff. Business class acceptable but no better than most I have travelled on.

Bangalore-Mumbai-Bangalore. The seats have good legroom, staff are courteous and efficient. The food was quite good, hot and the plane was clean. Flights took off and landed on time except the one to Mumbai but they had sent SMS about the delay. I was happy with the online booking too. The check-in counter at Mumbai was slightly clumsy. Overall, pretty good.

LHR-DEL-KTM return. The service was good both, on the ground at airports, and in the air. Flight attendants, were excellent, lost marks on the Inflight entertainment due to my screen, and seats alongside, not working, on long haul return. Food good, was even served a meal between Delhi and Kathmandu, only an hour in the air. Seat on KTM-DEL reclined whether I wanted it to or not.

Delhi-Varanasi. The aircraft was clean and the staff friendly. Seats were spacious and comfy. Food was provided during 1 hr flight and it was ok, the tea was served cold. Overall experience was good. The flight landed 10 mins before scheduled time.

Hyderabad to Pune. Very friendly and courteous staff in HYD. Check in took a few minutes. Recommended the King Plus program which I took. I informed them I had already flown on Kingfisher and they said they would add those to the program for me. Small aircraft on the sector (ATR72) but clean and comfy. Good service for the 90 minute flight. Would recommend to use.

Bangalore-Mumbai. Ground crew at Bangalore were slightly worked up and lacked a smile, though efficient. Onboard, the flight attendants were quick but lacked a smile most of the time. The afternoon departure was not full and the flight was on time, in fact arrived 20 mins ahead of schedule. Onboard, food was adequate for the journey and quality was good. Inflight entertainment was lacking variety. Overall, value for money for the price I paid.

Dubai to Mumbai via New Delhi in First. Shared lounge in DXB very nice. Clean seats, quiet and lovely hot and cold buffet with full open bar. Priority boarding in DXB was great. Seats comfortable, 2 + 2 configuration with plenty of leg room in all rows. Flight attendants greeted us with a smile. Menu had two traditional and one vegetarian Indian meals and portion sizes were enough. Upon arrival in DEL they had individual greeters to help you through customs and help with your baggage including your carry on. Lounge in DEL for domestic not impressive. No liquor or beer served on all domestic flights including ours from DEL to BOM. However, full hot lunch served on a 2 hr flight was impressive.

Delhi-Bangaluru Airbus A320. Missed connecting flight from LHR as baggage had been offloaded at Delhi although was told it would go direct to Bangalore - not the fault of Kingfisher. The representative was helpful at Delhi and enabled me to retrieve my baggage and book it onto the next flight. Aircraft was clean, food good, cabin crew friendly. Same on return flight Bangaluru-Mumbai.

DEL-GOA return on A320. The flight was 70% full. Check-in was smooth. FA's courteous and helpful. Inflight entertainment was fine for a 2.5 hrs flight. However the non veg option on return flight was awful. Was given the front row seats on the return leg on request. Strongly recommend if travelling within India.

Heathrow to Bangkok via Mumbai. Tickets were cheap, flights on time. Outbound, the entertainment had no sound. After 2 hrs, 5 or 6 system restarts, the hostess agreed it was indeed broken but there was nothing she could do. On the return, 2 rows of seats had no entertainment, but luckily we were moved. The Western meal option was unavailable after just 3 rows of seats. Transfer in Mumbai involved several security checks, taking over 1hr.

PNQ-DEL on full service flight. Check-in at PNQ fast and efficient, friendly staff. Plane was clean and well maintained, with comfortable seats. I liked the entertainment program, with a choice of movies, TV and cartoons with free headphones. Served a tasty warm meal and water. Very good value for money.

Calcutta to Bangkok return. The aircraft was well maintained and clean. It was an A319 and A320 on both sectors. Check in at Calcutta was a bit chaotic as usual though it was a mid day departure. Ground staff were courteous and helpful, specially grateful to the airline as they could through check in my luggage till my final destination Taipei. Immigration was quick, no hassle this time. On my return journey, signs at Bangkok for Kingfisher airlines was clear enough even if one is on transit. Both ways food was decent and hot. Lots of fruit juices and beer. Flight attendants were cheerful. The only minus point is their inflight entertainment which needs severe upgrade! On the whole, would fly them again.

In the last year Kingfisher has really come down in terms of standards. It was 2nd half hour flight from Delhi to Chennai last month and the screen was out of order, and plastic cutlery was provided to eat food. Even on my way back from Chennai the screen had some problem and was not showing anything. The staff of Kingfisher are very good. Last year I really had 5 star experience but this time it was not like that and even in Kingfisher Red food is not served now, last time I travelled food was served.

I took a Kingfisher Red flight on 4th Night to Kolkata from Bangalore and flight was late by 3.5hrs. Luckily as I am King club member I was able to relax at Kingfisher Lounge and also able to eat some refreshments otherwise it could have been very uneasy. I think it was first time I felt such an issue with Kingfisher. I hope this will not be happening again.

DEL-BOM, had to take a last minute flight and Kingfisher came out cheapest so took it, heard their reputation as the Best Domestic airline in India and it's easy to see why. The staff are immaculately presented, very friendly and welcoming. Nice little touches like a newspaper as soon as I boarded, a cold drink and freshners all added to it, so did the greeting by the chairman of Kingfisher on the IFE screen before take of and the announcement from the pilot, it was all really impressive. Plane was modern enough and there was enough to keep me entertained on this short-hop with the reading material and movies. Breakfast was served shortly after take off and the non-veg option was of a really good standard, spicy sausage with some sort of mashed potato was delicious. Will look forward to using Kingfisher again from UK to India.

Service on this airline is excellent from the moment you arrive at the airport until the moment you leave. Food is good. The only negative are the seats. I would have to say they are very poorly maintained. Plus they were badly discoloured. My IFE did not work properly either.

LHR-BOM-BKK-BOM-LHR. I have been flying to Bangkok 3 or 4 times a year since 2001 and have used most airlines, but can honestly say that Kingfisher is the best experience I have had. From check-in at Heathrow where staff are efficient until boarding nothing is too much trouble. Once onboard the IFE is excellent, seats comfortable. The food on the LHR-BOM was the best I have had on an economy flight. Kingfisher offered 3 choices, an Indian vegetarian, a western chicken dish or a meat Indian dish. A good selection of wines and spirits were offered along with Kingfisher beer. On arrival in Mumbai, I feared the worse but I need not have worried. Kingfisher staff were waiting to escort transfer passengers through security which was almost hassle free. One downside with Mumbai airport is the bar where a beer set me back 8 which I found very disappointing. After a wait of just under two hours a Kingfisher rep summoned those of us in the bar and we were taken to the departure gate. A tip, going through security make sure you keep all the stamped pieces of paper you are given, these are checked frequently. The BOM-BKK leg is on a smaller 737 with the flight being about 4 hours. The service again is excellent along with the food. One thing to note is the friendly cabin crew who really do go out of their way to be pleasant although I saw one Indian guy on the BOM-BKK leg who was drunk and said something to the hostess, she immediately retaliated and a shouting match ensued which was entertaining to say the least! The return from BKK to LHR was very much the same as far as I remember as I slept on both legs. I recommend Kingfisher without reservation.

BLR-MLR-BLR Flew this short sector to visit family while visiting India. I still consider this the best airline in India. Excellent service from ground staff and in the air.
