Melbourne to Singapore with a stop in Darwin. While the stop in Darwin is annoying for the
price you pay you cannot really complain. I was surprised with the service on this low cost
airline, cabin crew were interested in what they were doing.

In spite of a 6 hour delay on a flight from Hobart to Melbourne on my last experience with
Jetstar (a little more than 1 hour flight) decided to give Jetstar another go by booking
another flight. Have found that their online flight booking system doesn't work. as over the
course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday I've tried booking flights to New Zealand and get a
booking error. (they keep sending me emails saying I've opted in to their online marketing
though - is this legal?). Due to the online booking not working my partner tried calling
Jetstar and after a minimum 10 minute wait got through (no apology from the Jetstar agent for
the wait!!). We wanted to book the flights, but were informed that we would be subject to a
$20 charge for booking over the phone, in spite of trying to book online but unsuccessfully
through no fault of our own. They wouldn't retract this booking fee so we said we would try
the website again later. 36 hours later, website still not working. As well as the website
apparently not working, the Jetstar Customer Service is appalling - in fact they don't have
any - and make the excuse of being a 'budget' airline for not needing any. I'd never recommend
them to a friend for fear of them not arriving anytime near when they expect.

Sydney-Hobart Return. Both flights arrived at destination about 20 minutes early. For a
discount airline I think Jetstar are pretty good. I find the seats more comfortable than both
Qantas and Virgin Blue and superior to anything I have experienced on internal flights in
Europe or the United States. Cabin crew were also on a par with other discount and other
domestic airlines.

PER-CGK. For the amount that we paid we were happy with the service. We did receive a bottle
of water before we entered the door, so we thought it was a nice gesture. we read heaps of
books during the journey so it's worth it to bring some reading materials as there's nothing
else to do. We read previous comment about hiring the AVOD, so we didn't hire any, though we
asked the next passenger if it's worth it or not and he said yes.

Booked MEL-OOL on JQ444, departing 4.55pm, on 2 Feb. Flight cancelled without explanation 90
minutes before departure & queued for an hour to be transferred to a Qantas flight to BNE that
departed 30 minutes late at 7.35pm. Other passengers transferred to 5.45pm Jetstar flight to
OOL & remainder to later Qantas flight to BNE. Bus waiting at Brisbane Airport to take about
35 passengers to OOL via Helensvale railway station and Robina. Arrived at parents' house at
10.30pm, about 4 hours later than originally expected. Kudos to Jetstar for arranging
alternative transport on the same day but thumbs down for the cancellation of JQ444.

SYD-KL-SYD. Flight got cancelled due to some change in routes. Took 6+ months and over 30
phone calls to their extremely unhelpful call center to get a refund. Wouldn't consider flying
them again.

HNL-SYD. Had booked StarClass, was downgraded at airport due to change in planes (although the
airline was aware of the issue, they did not advise customers who called to confirm the night
before the flight). Received no special service in connection with downgrade; no drinks; no
entertainment. Partial refund still left me having paid more than an economy fare. I would
never fly this airline again.

Sydney-Christchurch this week and was pleasantly surprised with the service. On time and
friendly. The Seats in the A320 are small but comfortable. Flew Qantas last November to Hawaii
from Sydney and queued for 1 hour facing 3 lazy disinterested checkin staff. By contrast
Jetstar are fully staffed and efficient. Even smiling at 5.00am this morning

Adelaide to Sydney. Suppose to leave at 8-05 am was changed to 6-00 am. one week before the
flight it was changed to 18-00. The purpose of the trip was to be in Sydney by 16.00. The
flight was of no use to us and such had to book with another airline. At such a late date we
had to pay top dollar for the new flight. It would have been cheaper to have paid more with a
reliable airline in the first place. It just is not worth the risk flying with Jetstar Airways
again.

Osaka to Cooloongatta. This flight was delayed due to staff shortages but Jetstar did
everything that they could to look after the passengers. They put us up in a five star hotel
and gave every passenger adequate food vouchers for an evening meal and breakfast. The plane
left on 19th at 8.10 am instead of 21.55 on 18th. I feel that the company deserves some praise
for once having read too many negative comments about this airline, The product is good and I
will be flying with them again in the future.

Perth- Singapore return. Flight out was excellent with friendly Singaporean crew. Left on
time and arrived slightly early. Legroom good for a budget airline. Return flight, service
not as good. At one stage there were at least five passengers with their assistance buttons
pushed. To the shock of many, one smiling FA walked down the isle, turned them all of and
them returned to the back of the plane! Several passengers had to walk down and purchase
drinks etc from the crew at the back of the plane as the calls for assistance were ignored. I
can't imagine Jetstar management would be happy with, this as budget airlines rely on the
sale of good on their flights for extra revenue.

Sydney to Honolulu return. Check in at Sydney took 25 minutes - many large family groups
travelling on this flight and they were disorganised! Tip is to arrive early or settle in for
a long wait. Departure was about 10 minutes late. The crew was slow to hand out the portable
video units and comfort sets for those who ordered them, taking over 1 hour before most
people got them. Even then, most of the video units seemed to have technical problems,
causing even more delay. The meal was terrible: udon noodles with a teaspoon of shredded
chicken on top. Bring your own food, not worth paying $30 for that. The second meal I didn't
get at all! They ran out before they got to me and no alternative was offered. Arrival in
Honolulu was at a remote gate, everyone then takes a shuttle bus to the main arrivals area.
The return journey was on time, but again miserable service offered. The food was again
unedible (some sort of vile spinach chicken wrap and a "breakfast" that was some of egg
cheese combination). The cabin temperature was freezing. Leg room was minimal and again full
flights in both directions didn't help. Overall price at $1280Aust dollars was ok, but
everything else service-delivery wise is the bare minimum.

SYD-NRT, KIX-SYD. Uneventful and satisfactory flight to Tokyo. Return flight from Osaka
(via Gold Coast) delayed 5 hours with no satisfactory explanation given (it was said that the
aircraft was delayed by several hours on its way over from Australia, but no explanation was
given for that delay, and it was not suggested the delay was outside JetStar's control).
This led to connections being missed, plans having to be changed, etc. It seems that with
this budget airline you only get what you pay for.

We recently travelled Jetstar to Bali, due to Qantas cancelling their flights and Jetstar
taking over the Qantas schedule. We were expecting a no frills airline as we received a
refund from Qantas due to the inconvenience, but pleasantly surprised with Jetstar! We found
the seating a little small and cramped but the flight was only 3.5 hours. We received a
complimentary meal on the plane, which was okay (as far as airline food is concerned; crew
were polite and helpful. All the cabin crew were Indonesian and we had the same crew on the
return flight home. My daughter wanted to watch a movie on the flight and we were charged $10
AU. The movie choices were great for her, but I'm happy we didnt spend extra money for our
own screens, as the choice was limited.

I have been flying every week for the last 2.5 years from Brisbane to Newcastle and return via
Jetstar with the occasional Virginblue flight as a comparison. I prebook flights well ahead and I
download my boarding pass from the web to save time. Most times I have just carry-on luggage and so
do not need to check in. Of all these flights on Jetstar, only once was the flight completely
cancelled. By purchasing well in advance, I receive the maximum discounted seat. I was surprised
recently that when I flew to New Zealand via Jetstar, that they use the same Airbus 320's for that
run as the Brisbane Newcastle run (when I went to Vietnam - they used the larger Airbus). Cant
complain as the price of the ticket was very inexpensive. Would I continue to fly Jetstar? Yes I
would! Do I get good value for money? Yes indeed, I get great value for money! I am an extremely
happy Jetstar customer and if they continue, as they have in the past? then I will continue to fly
with them and recommend them to others.

I was wondering how the flight would be on international. The crew were nice, albeit an all Thai
crew from Osaka – Sydney which I thought was very strange seeming how half the passengers were
Japanese and couldn’t understand English. I pre-ordered my meal however as I was seating at the
front and the meal trolleys came from the back to the front so by the time the choice came to me all
the meals were gone (So sit towards the back) I think that if you pre-order your meal then you
should get preferential choice before others who have not prepaid. AVOD system was not as good. It
does pass the time but the shows are quite crap. Seeming how they fly to Asian destinations, maybe
put on some Asian movies too? Hawaiian Airlines have the same AVOD system on their flights and have
more variety even without Asian movies. Apart from that it is OK if you want something cheap. My
worst fear was to have on board a few drunk louts making noise but most people were well behaved. I
would fly again for the only reason that JQ is the sole carrier to Osaka from Sydney direct.

SYD-HNL return on A330-200. Departure delayed by one hour due to bad weather. Wasn’t expecting
impressive service from Jetstar but was surprised that flight attendants, including Thai and
Japanese crew, were attentive and made every effort to make sure that each passenger was given the
option to purchase food. Seat pitch reasonable. However, must make a note that safety procedures
were adequate but could be improved as the video demonstration was VHS and on small ceiling mounted
screens, so perhaps not every passenger was able to view it. Airline is okay with passengers
bringing food onboard and there is a water fountain with cups. Although it was a night flight, a
Thai crew member remained awake at the end of the aircraft serving drinks and meals. Return flight =
had young flight attendants that were equally attentive and friendly but =not as professional as
other Asian airlines such as MH, CX or SQ. As this was a day flight, I was expecting the flight
attendants to be in the cabin looking after the passengers, however the passengers on board decided
to shut all the windows and sleep as the light was very strong, which was totally the opposite of
the night flight to Honolulu. The cabin crew decided to hide away in the last few seats of the
aircraft and sleep. Flight attendants went back into action for lunch service and continued to pass
things, food and drinks over passengers heads for the flight attendants in the other aisles. Flight
attendant went around cabin giving water to passengers instead of the standard meal service.
Aircraft interiors reportedly refurbished after being transferred from Qantas fleet however some
seats appeared worn out and rubbish and sticky marks were left over, which might be a result of the
aircraft being turned around in less than 2 hours. Inflight entertainment was the same both ways,
and inflight magazine was unchanged even though I traveled in different months. Would recommend
flying Jetstar on this route as it is a safe budget carrier, and well worth for the price you pay
but don’t expect highly professional service but not that bad service either. A word of warning, a
few hundred dollars might get you a Qantas flight with meals, blankets and earphones but there is no
personal IFE on their 767s as with Jetstar’s A330, but you should do your homework as you could end
up on a codeshare flight with Jetstar, having paid the extra few hundred dollars to have priority
boarding before the Jetstar passengers.

Darwin to Singapore. I was on 5 different Jetstar flights during my vacation to Australia and Asia.
The first flight was great, but every flight afterwards got progressively worse. On this flight, it
was absolutely like riding the bus. Four hours of cramped seating, crying babies, etc. The only
way to be comfortable on their flights is to get a seat in the emergency exit row.

Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore) - SYD and return (with connections to Canberra on Qantaslink). 0945
departure using Jetflex booking out of Maroochydore. Surprisingly pleasant and on-time flights on
the A320s. Attractive, well groomed, and, may I say, intelligent flight attendants. Good check-in
for the southbound flight and had a window seat at one of the emergency exits with a spare seat next
to me on an otherwise almost full flight. Also, there seemed to be less than usual cabin pop music
being played, which was a relief. Return flight had to climb through thunderstorms and associated
weather but service was still good with surprisingly good coffee. I have noticed that a good Jetstar
flight can be very good indeed.

SYD-HNL-SYD Star Class. Seats premium economy but ok. meals like QF economy, staff mainly Asian,
meal service language difficulty, VODs with flat batteries, return flight an hour late. When we
booked return was via MEL so we booked a room overnight in SYD as very late for domestic flight
connection to BNE. Flight actually into SYD direct so wasted costs of room. Price very cheap, no
other problems. Low expectations were met.

PER-CGK-PER. First time with Jetstar, me and my girlfriend booked online 2.5 months prior to the
flight date only to find that the flight was overbooked the day we tried to checked in. The reasons
were the freight was too heavy and the weather condition was "stormy". They asked few passengers who
have on board to get down so the plane could fly. Angry, impatient and disgusted on how they treated
us. They found us new flight to Sydney before flying to Jakarta. We had to pay our own taxi fares
from International to domestic for $30 which has not been refunded, and probably they would not.
They gave us $300 Jetstar voucher but it has to be redeemed online, when I went online, the website
had an error, called Jetstar and they said it requires 28 days before the voucher could appear, but
the paper said "must be redeemed online within 48 hours". How dodgy is that?!

SYD-Phuket and Singapore - Darwin - Sydney. First time on Jetstar International. Incredibly cheap
tickets so couldn't complain about anything. All flights full and service the normal OK Jetstar
offering.
