PER-MEL. Booked the price beat guarantee during Tiger's $30 flight sale so my flight was only
$27. The flight was delayed by about 2 hrs but considering what I paid I cannot complain. On
board, the announcer kept saying we were flying to Sydney and it wasn't until a few
announcements later she apologised that we were flying to Melbourne. Service excellent, full
flight, food reasonably priced and enjoyed being able to fly a long distance for under $30.

Melbourne-Darwin on A320. Despite departing Melbourne two and a quarter hours late, this
direct one way flight of five hours arrived in Darwin at about 5pm as advertised! Generally
all was excellent. No inflight entertainment, however this flight was comfortable in leather
seats and pleasant crew. Food cheap but good. Jetstar, late departure aside, are yet to go
wrong as long as one assures oneself that the flight is direct.

SYD-HNL-SY. Flight out delayed due to the baggage handlers strike. We live 150kms from
Sydney and despite checking the departure time before leaving home (on time!) we were not
aware of the industrial action until we arrived at the airport and saw the mounting piles of
luggage. Not one word was mentioned at check-in about the possibility/probability of the
flight being delayed (even after I asked) and the boarding pass showed an on time departure.
There was not too much communication about the situation or a revised departure time and the
departure gate number kept changing on the screens - at one stage they had the flight
departing from the second terminal which sent a lot of people into a panic. The flight
eventually departed about 4 hours late. The crew were very apologetic (not their fault) and
were very friendly and efficient. Tea/coffee/softdrink was complimentary throughout the
flight due to the delay. Return trip check in at the airport was smooth and organized and the
flight departed on time. A pleasant change to have a day flight. Due to the mid morning
departure time, the crew announced what meal/snack service would take place and when so we
weren't fed lunch and then forgotten an hour into the trip. We don't mind paying for
meals/IFE's etc if it helps to keep the airfare down but we do think that Jetstar could
provide complimentary coffee n tea - $3.00 for a small cup of tea is a bit rich. Travelling
through the US on Jetblue and Southwest, all coffee/tea/softdrinks and 'snacks' were
complimentary and, if you so desired, unlimited. We missed out on the really cheap fares but
at the time of booking what we paid was far below Hawaiian or Qantas (on a Jetstar flight,
cheeky!) and the planes are newer. My only gripe is Jetstar's website - what a horror!

SYD-CNS-NRT on A320 and A330, then return NRT-OOL-SYD on an A330 with my wife and 4 month old
son. From phoning the call centre to request bassinet seats and meals, to check-in and while
flying experienced fantastic service. The staff were cheerful and friendly and went out of
their way to make a difficult experience with a young child as enjoyable as possible. All the
flights up until OOL-SYD were ahead of schedule, and that last flight was only a few minutes
late through no fault of their own (a fire alarm in OOL). Comfortable flights, reasonable
meals - bassinet was a little damaged on the flight home, but they promised to write it up for
maintenance. In flight entertainment wasn't the best, but you can always bring your own iPod
or portable player.

Sydney to Honolulu return on A330-200. The fare paid was $704 Australian dollars including tax
(very cheap). Online check-in + online selection of seats and online selection of meals were
all unavailable on this flight for some reason. Their website has major problems (I checked
several times in the days leading up to this flight - and could never even view my itinerary).
Check-in at Sydney airport was handled by Qantas taking about 15 minutes. It was a totally
full flight (it was the day before Easter long weekend). Departure was close to on-time. The
eastbound flight is at night and was quite dark and uneventful. Arrival in HNL was on time.
The return flight a week later was also pretty much on time. Westbound it seems to take 1-2
hours longer due to headwinds apparently (making it close to 11 hours). On the way back it
wasn't full - it seems to help going on midweek flights if possible. Overall it was ok. They
use mostly Thai crews and they are quite helpful. Entertainment on board is near non-existent
- the radio system plays on a loop and the songs repeat every hour, so quite boring. Their
meal quality is quite poor and seat pitch is tight. But I would use them again for price.

OOL-KIX return. I used my Frequent Flyer points to fly star class which works out great value
(same points as qantas economy to NRT). OOL airport could not handle the traffic and made
boarding and check-in mirror quite chaotic. The trip to KIX was great, the food and service
would be comparable to that of a premium economy service, however much better than being at
the back. On the way back however was a different story, When arriving at Check-in a passenger
told me we had a 6 hour delay, I went to the counter, and they had no idea how long it would
be delayed. Ultimately we ended up having a 24 hour delay in Osaka, 4 hours of that was
waiting for hotel vouchers. I guess I could call myself lucky that i did have priority
service. Without that delay however I would Strongly recommend Starclass for price sensitive
premium travellers.

PER-DPS return. Perth flight left on time and was full. The seats are comfortable, service
was fast and attentive on both sectors. The return flight was delayed an hour but was
informed of this at check in. First flights with Jetstar and for the money I found them to be
excellent.

First time flying or attempting to fly with Jetstar, flight booked Cairns to Adelaide return
for medical reasons. Contacted by Jestar five days prior to flying and informed would be
flying on another day and returning on another date nominated by them I explained did not
suite. No apologies or explanation other than your flight has been rescheduled to another day
and returning a day later - was offered a refund which I had no option but to accept, they
have informed me that I will receive my refund in 5 to 6 weeks.

I took my first flight with Jetstar last weekend, from Adelaide to Melbourne on an A320. I
was offered an emergency exit row, effectively an upgrade, which was nice. Even so, it
surprised me how much leg room the regular seats seemed to have - then I took some
measurements and realised that the seat cushions are about 4cm shorter than on Qantas. The
flight departed pretty much on time, arrived perhaps a few minutes late but only due to air
traffic control. The crew was friendly and professional, and good communication from the
flight deck and cabin crew as well as recorded announcements - at one point we were
effectively asked to tidy up to keep costs down. Food available for purchase, but there was
no hard sell. A good experience for a short flight - I will be trying their long-haul product
later this year and will be interested to see how it shapes up.

I had to cancel my flight with Jetstar from SYD to HKG in Starclass - please be aware that the
refund can take up to three months. When ever I telephoned the customer service, I was told
that it will be fast-tracked. So, fast tracked means 3 months? Please be aware.

For a low cost airline Jetstar offers great service & excellent value for money. My husband &
I are relatively regular flyers and cannot fault the level of service, from check in to the
cabin crew. My most recent flights from GC-ADL-GC last week were excellent - the staff were
friendly, cabin tidy and landed close to the scheduled time.
