BOM-BKK (economy) and return (business). BOM - BKK started off on a bad foot with a very rude
check-in lady who answered some of my queries with one word answers and a very disinterested
"is there anything else?". I was denied the privileges of my frequent flier status due to a
system error and they wouldnt take my word for it. I used the shared lounge (shared lounge in
their hub airport?) as a Mastercard Platinum customer and not as a Jet Privilege customer, as
should have been the case. The lounge was very basic with substandard food and beverages;
short on choice and quality - the seating however was good. The take-off was on time and the
inflight crew was a refreshing change to their ground staff. However, cost cutting measures
were very evident - only one drinks run, that too along with the meal. Again quality of
beverage very poor with downmarket brands served. No wine served in economy anymore - a first
for me! Meal options good but stocks inadequate as I received my third option meal. The flight
itself was uneventful - leg space adequate, seat recline and pitch as expected, AVOD stocked
with outdated and old fare, bathrooms clean. On the return leg, we were offered a sweet deal
to upgrade to business class at Baht 4,000 (approx US$ 120) per person and we jumped at the
offer. Again my impression of the ground staff was very poor - they were uninformed and misled
us on one or two issues. We didnt use the lounge but it was the Thai lounge which has been
reviewed by many here. The business class seats were the same as in domestic flights; ok for a
4hr flight. AVOD offering was the same as in the inward flight - old Hollywood and Bollywood
fare. The service was topclass and the FA's were very eager to serve. However, evidence of
cost cutting was evident in the business class offering as well. In the past I have been
served premium champagnes such DP & VCQP in Jet business class flights to London, but I was
shocked to see a US$ 10 champagne being served. Even the wine quality was substandard.
Overall, I would say that Jet hasnt been able to sustain the high standards it had set on its
international offering and the fall has been quite steep. They need to figure out if they want
to sell a premium offering or a value offering and stick to it. You cant sell value products
at premium prices - it leads to misplaced expectations.

YYZ-BRU-MAA business class. YYZ-BRU sector the crew did their duty but not friendly and
personable, however crew on BRU-MAA sector were friendly. The food on both sectors was tasty
and well presented. Toilets kept clean and stocked with quality products. The lie flat seats
were comfortable. The cabins on both the sectors were unusually warm. Return travel economy
class. While service was good, cost cutting measures were obvious right from drink service to
the cutlery. Sometimes, the food service was bit disorganized and slow. Cold towels on the
first sector and warm towels on the second sector.

SIN-MAA-SIN. Seat allotment system should be reviewed. The front row seats are allotted to
privilege customers instead of the passengers with travelling with infants. No option to
choose seats at the time of booking (either at agent or online system). IFE needs to be
improved. Inflight catering is not up to the mark and room for improvement.

Singapore-India return. Cabin crew rude, seat very old and worn-out. IFE very limited and
boring. Toilet was dirty, unusable state), food was so so. Really disappointed, and not what
be shown in any of their ads I have seen - not the best or better way to fly to India.

BRU-MAA-CCU-BOM-BRU Economy. Brussels to Chennai flight was good; a clean A330, friendly crew,
impressive IFE and delicious lunch. Jet lacks some of the little extras like a toiletry bag
and a menu. And if you want a drink during flights you have to go and get it yourself. Overall
impression of the Chennai to Kolkata flight was good - again a bright and clean aeroplane
(737), friendly crew, good lunch and IFE as on intercontinental flight. Kolkata to Mumbai was
something else. Initially the flight would be operated by Jet but a few weeks before departure
we were notified flight would be operated by Jet Airways Konnect. We were told Jet Airways
Konnect was a similar product as Jet with the only difference that you had to pay for food and
drinks. As we booked our flights far in advance we were given food and drink vouchers though.
The flight was on a noisy outdated 737 showing age on seats and the entire interior. No IFE;
even not their own airline magazine. Tray tables were filthy and sticky and the food wasn’t
edible. Flight from Mumbai to Brussels was on a 777 and crew was disinterested, unorganized
and unprofessional. I got my breakfast served half an hour after the people sitting in front
of me and my partner sitting next to me even had to wait 20 more minutes for it. Breakfast
that was grabbed away 5 minutes later without explanation or excuse. Overall impression on Jet
Airways is it offers a very inconsistent service with a variety of crews from professional to
absolutely useless. If they ever want to compete with SQ or TG they still have a long way to go.

Heathrow-Mumbai-Goa return and found Jet Airways satisfactory. The aircraft were modern,
legroom adequate in economy and seats not too hard. The crew were pleasant and helpful,
providing an adequate supply of water throughout the flights. The cuisine was Indian, and, as
airline food goes, pretty good, although it may be a bit too spicy for some western palettes.
The web check in worked well and was especially beneficial at Heathrow as we were dealt with
in minutes, by-passing an extremely long check in queue.

BOM-HKG-BOM with my daughter, her husband and two kids. We chose Jet even though the tickets
were priced higher than other options. We have flown before and expected the same product The
check in was smooth with friendly agents. On board we were assigned to our seats and after
take off, there was a short service with no drinks trolley even though it was supposed to be
served. For a seven hour flight the crew could have shown more interest - crew uninterested in
passenger requests and were in a hurry to finish service for the snack as well as the
breakfast service. The return flight was the same - crew did not attend to passenger requests
and we had the call button being pressed several times around us for the same request. My son
in law had to request a beer twice before it was served. Overall the standard of the airline
has declined considerably. The crew look uninterested in their job and the service was just
namesake. Very sad for an airline which used to have a very good product.

HYD to DEL on Jet Connect. Surprised to see how much Jet has fallen in the last 2 years as now
they are basically a low cost carrier. 2 years ago got great service, hot meal and friendly
crew; This time had to buy food on board for a 2 hour flight, crew were okay but not overtly
friendly; they dont even offer soft drinks only water for free. Fare was the exactly the same
as 2 years ago so not sure why I paid so much and got so little. Most flights on Jet are
either JetLite or Jetconnect now so they have basically become a low cost carrier. Don't
expect much domestically.

Heathrow to Mumbai and back on Jet Airways. I took the outward 9.25pm flight from Heathrow and
the food service was quite slow - at midnight London time, dinner was still being served.
Consequently didn't have much sleep that night though if you are smart (as I saw some other
person), you can request for an early meal and sleep quickly after eating. Took the 2.35am
return flight from Mumbai and this time skipped the meal and straight to sleep which was a
wise move given I managed to catch about 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep before landing in
Heathrow at 7am. What I found strange was that no eye-covers provided in the comfort kit.
Inflight entertainment was good though the number of movies was not that much in my opinion.

BKK-DEL. Food excellent, seat narrow but okay for a short haul flight of 3 hrs. Staff
attentive and complying to demanding passengers. The plane was full of Indians traveling from
BKK and apparently a political person onboard traveling with a big group. They were like on a
riot of drinking and fun. Whiskey was pouring like water, and even after dinner had been
served. Surely, the security here has to be taken into consideration. The worst bit was the
overuse of the toilets by these passengers who left the place in a real mess. The crew was
calm but wish the passengers comply with better behaviour.

Toronto-Brussels return. Boeing 777 cabin very comfortable but standout was cabin service and
best inflight meals that I have had - they had put Business Class seats on APEX so the price
I paid was about 50% of what I would normally expect to pay for a Business Class seat.

KUL-MAA return in Business class. Check-in Kuala lumpur is very efficient with dedicated
counters. However when you enter the lounge provided which is actually the Plaza Premium
lounge - cramped, insufficient food and not enough washrooms. The flights were pretty good on
both sectors, AVOD with touchscreen and reclinable seats, however the crew were very grumpy
throughout and their pronunciation was awful. Plus the lounge in Chennai is the worst I have
see. Overall, an average journey with Jet Airways, I expected better.

Just returned to Heathrow from Mumbai. Jet's check-in procedures at Mumbai were prehistoric.
Every detail from the passport had to be typed in, not scanned. When it came to boarding the
same thing happened. Each boarding card was read manually and the details typed in
laboriously. Hence, checking-in and boarding took far longer than necessary and at 2 o'clock
in the morning it isn't a lot of fun. Also our party were given seats spread around the
aircraft. Only when we got on board and after playing a game of musical chairs did we manage
to sit next to our partners. All this should have been possible at check-in time. I was not
impressed.

Chennai - Singapore B737-800 Business Class. Despite the chaos at MAA check-in and
immigration were a breeze. Lounge operated by an outside company and had plenty of seating and
tables to work from. Boarding was usual chaos with numerous passengers pushing and shoving to
get through three different checks before boarding the bus to the aircraft. Once seated drinks
served and flight departed on time. Despite being a 737 the flight had international
configuration (cradle seats, not lie flat) with in-seat AVOD. Legroom was appalling as it
looked like they had jammed in another row of business class. The seat was fine except the
lack of legroom and a very bad foot rest which did not come up high enough to do anything
except cause significant pain when the seat reclined. Supper was served but I did not eat as
the flight departs Chennai at 1am. Service attentive but not intrusive.

LHR-BOM-BKK. Upgraded to business class for reasonable fee at LHR. Nice flat beds, crew good,
but IFE only average. Had an issue where a passenger was taken ill, so had to stop in Budapest
for 5 hours. Missed connection in BOM, had to wait 8 hours in the worst business lounge I've
ever been in (one of those you can pay to enter). Can't believe no Jet lounge in hub airport.
Staff on ground very poor, not interested in assisting, just dump in rubbish lounge and leave.
No hot food offered. Jet staff didn't know that lounge had shower until I asked independent
lounge staff. BOM airport is a bit of a nightmare, totally chaotic, surly security staff and
poor facilities. To sum up, in the air pretty good, but if there's a problem, pray for help
because Jet ground staff weren't interested. If a long stay in BOM airport then make sure you
have something to do!

Mumbai - Doha in Business. Check-in a breeze with friendly ground staff. Shared lounge in
BOM okay. New B737-800, crew friendly, attentive, well groomed. Dinner service good with
several choices and tasty food presented well. No IFE on this flight, curious as the plane
was equipped with individual screens in C cabin.
