BLR-VTZ via MAA roundtrip. On domestic trips, it is essentially a budget carrier on which you get what you pay for. No food or drinks offered onboard, although you could purchase food based on select menus. Flight attendants were friendly and helpful. Overall, I was satisfied with the service. The only minor hassle was having my inbound flight slightly delayed.

I expected the worst, but after flying Brussels-Mumbai-Colombo return I was pleasantly surprised. All flights on time, friendly staff, lots of new movies and lovely Indian food. Only hassle was ground staff in Colombo who failed to get us boarding passes to the second flight and we couldn't go through security. Ground staff separated me from my family, however cabin crew were very helpful to get us together.

LHR to Colombo via Delhi. Check-in staff at LHR were friendly. Landed at DEL ahead of schedule. Onboard service and food was excellent. Video on Demand had large selection with comfortable seats. Delhi International airport had clean toilets, good selection in the food court. Airport staff friendly and helpful. Return CMB-DEL-LHR, upgraded to Business Class in Delhi. On board experience good, food, service and Business Class cabins were excellent. As for Value for money it was £700 cheaper than flying direct.

Long Haul DEL-LHR on B777-300ER. Economy class comfortable, pillows and blankets a nice addition. Games and wide array of films made 9 hr flight pass quickly. However, the use of the reclining feature was limited, with a maximum of 31' of recline.

Toronto-Brussels, Brussels-Chennai. This was the first time I tried them internationally. Service on both sectors was excellent in Economy. Routes to India tend to have the most demanding passengers, the crew managed to keep everyone happy without appearing frazzled. Choices and quantities of meals was adequate. The hard product (seats, IFE) do the job although they could add more variety. It is obvious that the best part of Jet Airways are their cabin crew.

Katmandu to Delhi. The flight was delayed and we missed our connecting flight to the UK. Jet airways refused to help us and the 5 passengers who were left. We had been told that staff in Delhi would sort us out, instead we spent 24 hrs in the airport trying to get at least get some food. We were given two meals and 1 hr in a lounge to make phone calls to family. Staff walked away from us whilst we were speaking and hung up when we phoned their office. As we got on our connecting flights we were told that they had lost our bags, which took a month to arrive.

LHR-BOM. Ground staff and cabin crew have always been friendly. Our flight taxied on time, though delays occurred due to air traffic. Inflight service was very good. I have also flown First as well as Business Class in Jet, and have always been pleased. The entertainment system is modern and up to date.

DEL-BLR. Unfriendly check-in staff. My wife and I booked together but were told that only middle seats were available and had to sit separately. We learnt later the plane came from 2 other airports and had lots of passengers for BLR onboard. I wonder why they allocate all window and aisle seats to such passengers and don't keep any rows for passengers boarding later. Small warm meal was served. Flight ok and arrived on time.

BKK-BOM-LHR return. First time I had flown Jet, on the whole I was pleasantly surprised. All flights were on time, seats average for Economy and touch screen IFE worked. But Jet could improve on long haul flights if they would provide a drinks service before the meal, a choice of something other than chicken and another drink with the meal. I actually got a large plastic cup of nice Chilean Chardonnay but only after I asked, it wasn't offered. Boarding at Heathrow unsatisfactory. Even though passengers were called by seat number everybody had already queued up.

Toronto-Brussels and Brussels-Chennai. Compared to previous experiences I felt a bit let down by this flight. Normally we get a drink as soon as we enter the air craft, there was no drink this time nor there were any drinks offered during the night. The crew were talking and laughing in the kitchen but failed to attend to customers. In no time bathrooms were dirty and staff failed to replenish paper. The towels that were given to wipe hands and face were cold instead of hot and warm as before. The breakfast was a cold piece of cake, and service was average. In total the condition of these two planes was unsatisfactory. Chennai to Colombo, this crew was much more attentive, they gave us drinks as we entered the plane and during the short flight they did their best to serve food and drinks.

MAA-BOM and BOM-YYZ. Overall a great experience on both domestic and international sectors. Curb side assistance at MAA was a nice touch but none at BOM. Boarding was done systematically by rows. Domestic flight of 1hr 40mins was busy with a soup service, followed by salad, main course and dessert. International flight was comfortable, staff personable, addressed you by your last name. It was a nice touch for the pursuer to personally introduce himself or herself and check on us. Pyjamas offered and crew willingly had the bed done for the night service. The international cuisine on BRU-YYZ option was not so great, otherwise food and drink service adequate. The herring bone seats do not have the massage function while the old style seats have, the seats are comfortable though in either case. Too bad they stop the inflight entertainment almost 3/4 hr prior to landing. A good option for flights from Toronto to India.

GOI-BOM Club Premiere, B737. The chief reason one pays a premium for Business class is the expectation of all- round convenience. Jet Airways fails completely in this department. The pre-boarding and bussing to the aircraft gives you no advantage over the Economy class passenger. You have to fight your way through the crowd and it can get unpleasant. Onboard it is a little better. But on the whole, domestic Business class on Jet Airways is a poorly executed product.

BOM-BRU-FLR (BRU-FLR on Brussels Airlines), MXP-DEL-PNQ in Business Class. Had a problem with seats selection on the BOM-BRU leg. Everything else including the actual flight went off smoothly, food, drink, entertainment, seats, service, etc as expected. The MXP-DEL flight was very good. Quick check-in, decent lounge, great service and a delicious dinner. The entertainment wasn't bad but I slept through most of the flight. Sadly, the domestic DEL-PNQ flight in Economy was full of issues. The check-in staff assigned us non-reclining exit row seats despite assuring us that they were reclining exit row seats. All food (for sale) on board the aircraft (3.5hrs via Indore) was over by the time we were served. Sadly, this last small leg ruined the entire flight experience with Jet, which had otherwise been good.

MCT-TRV in Premiere (Seat 1A) and COK-MCT in Economy (Seat 10F) and a Jet Airways BluePlus member. Outward journey comfortable, toilet clean, but no amenities such as Moisturizer, Eau de Cologne. Provided an Eye shade on request. Meals ok. Return trip, before take off, noticed Economy toilets smelt of urine and damp toilet papers strewn on floor and it was brought to the attention of the Cabin Crew, but noticed that this remain the same before landing as well (or became worse as people frequented while in flight). Meal quality fine, but quantity very small. I could not sit the meal on the tray as it was broken at the folder end, causing disturbance to middle passenger while struggling with tray and cutlery. Otherwise the short haul (3+ hr) flight was fine. Will use Jet Airways again.

LHR-BOM-LHR, first time with Jet and not a very good first impression. Ground staff in London lovely and plane was clean, spacious etc but the cabin crew were not very helpful, food was good but with only 1 meal and a snack towards the end of the journey I wish I'd taken a packed lunch on board. Only 1 drink served, had to ask for the rest which were served with attitude. Nearly 1hr to wait for luggage after landing and at 1am I wasn't too happy about that. Was expecting same on return but it was an even larger plane with a really friendly (mainly male) cabin crew, an evening flight so it was a proper meal and a healthier portion than outbound and service with a smile when requesting extras, not sure I'd use them again at this price, they charge the same as Virgin did when it was their route but can't match them in quality.

LHR-BKK via Delhi / BKK-LHR via Mumbai. All four sectors completely full, managed to secure exit seats on all flights so seats and space were excellent. Found the cabin crew to be excellent with all requests met swiftly. IFE system was very good with the system available from boarding. All flights landed on-time. Meal service was the only real let down as the food selection is very Indian (especially on the shorter sectors) many of the tray items were unknown to me. Both aircraft types (777w and 737h) were very clean and appeared new. First flight was into Delhi which has a new and extremely large terminal which was a delight to transit through. The return flight was through Mumbai which was without doubt the worst airport experience of my life, disorganised in the extreme, dirty and with the most ignorant security staff I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. I was third in line for the in-transit pat down and bag search and it took 35 mins to clear! I would certainly use Jet again but only via Delhi.

LHR-BOM-BKK. As a frequent flier with Jet Airways, service in Economy class is very poor. The cabin crew seem to find it difficult to organise the meal service, its like watching a comedy show, they seem to forget people like a drink with their food and don't even bother to ask. In Premier Class they seem more organised. Aircraft clean and IFE is good. I never had a problem with transit in Mumbai to my connecting flight to Bangkok, just make sure you are not at the back of the queue for the security check in Mumbai. I upgrade to premiere for the Bangkok flight more leg room, as they use a B737-800 that is cramped in Economy.

LHR - BKK - LHR, Transit in Mumbai. The seat is big enough, but no foot-rest at my seat and something was broken on the side, which wasn't fixed. The staff are not friendly, they didn't give me any option for food. They just gave me whatever they had, which were vegetarian meals that I never asked before. With drinks or soft drinks, I had to ask for it, they never offered it, even with the meals. Entertainment was okay.

BOM-JNB-BOM. I was pretty disappointed with their support staff at Johannesburg. I usually book economy and upgrade myself to Business using my miles or upgrade vouchers. Having done this numerous times I know I have to do this at least 48 hrs before my flight. When I called their office in Jo'burg the staff did not do the necessary but kept arguing that it has to be done before the flight at airport. Finally I got fed up and arrived at Jo'burg airport only to be told that they couldn't upgrade me because I hadn't called them in advance (48 hrs prior)! Moreover I always web-check in, and on both Bom-Jnb return, when I clicked on required seat the boarding pass came out with another seat! When I called Jet Airways they admitted that there is a problem with their web-checkin process. Alot is left to be desired when it comes to their back office and systems which are not efficient.

Toronto to New Delhi. The seats were horrible. We got a last seat near the washroom that does not recline. The people in front of us were almost sleeping on us. We asked for a change and were given in Brussels - seats were equally bad as there was not proper cushion. I was fed up as none of them obliged when asked for a change of seat as my foot was stuck in between two seats in my onward journey to New Delhi.

Even a budget airlines such as Spice Jet is way better than Jet. We were travelling to Chennai on Sunday morning first flight. The flight time as per the website and our boarding pass was 6:50 am, and we arrived at the airport at 5:30 am - as we had already processed a web check in. While being at Delhi airport T3, there was no announcement of the flight departing and at 6:30am, before the actual boarding time, the flight schedule display started flashing gate closed! We were shocked and made our way to the boarding gate and were told by an idiotic guard sitting there that the flight has already taken off! And all this without any announcement! When we contacted Jet staff, we were told that of course an announcement was made and since this is a silent airport, we must not have heard it. Even a person travelling from a village to a city can understand what is being said in the overhead announcement. Turns out later on that the airline had overbooked due to some VIP travelling and in order to escape the wrath of passengers they simply took off. We met many passengers for the same flight complaining and fighting with the ground staff who were also left out as they also did not hear the announcement at this 'silent airport'. This was our first time booking through Jet, and people say that budget airlines are bad! Such a horrible experience even before you start your journey.

Heathrow to Mumbai was okay but a very bad experience Mumbai to Bangkok. Had iphone and Bose headphones stolen by idiots when my back was turned putting my luggage into locker. Cabin crew didn't want to know and eventually only started to take notice when I made enough fuss. They were retrieved at the end of the flight (strangely - and I don't know how) with the excuse that the person had been drunk (although not drunk enough to remove my sim card which I only noticed later). Mumbai to Bangkok very unprofessional (completely missed out with drinks (three times including the return journey) and seemed like the crew were in training. Definitely would never fly Jet Air again as the saving is not worth all the problems including very inefficient security at Mumbai airport.

BKK-BOM-LHR, an awful journey home. Our pre allocated seats was given out on both flights, meal service given with no drinks. If you wanted a drink you had to find a flight attendant who was sitting down doing nothing. No drinks given after the meal. The plane was dirty and dirty nappies left in the washrooms. We have been with Jet before but never again after this nightmare journey home. The cabin crew was too young to cope with the number of passengers on the plane.

LHR-DEL. Check-in at Heathrow was painful, waiting for over an hour. When my turn came, I was frustrated to find my pre-allocated seat had been given out. When I asked why given that I had checked in online, I was told because I had arrived late. I was at the check-in counter two hours prior to departure and given the waiting time had actually arrived three hours prior to departure - staff found me an aisle seat in the very last row close to the toilets. Boeing 777-300 reasonably clean on boarding and excellent seating comfort. LCD screens were large however the touch screen functions were very unresponsive. The let down however was the cabin crew - immature, incompetent and totally inefficient. The night meal service took over three hours and crew seemed unable to comply with basic requests such as a glass of white wine with the meal. Coffee served without any creamers on the trays. The tray clearance was slow. The crew constantly spilled trays and cups on the floor and the cabin was filthy three hours into the flight. During the flight, the crew hid in the galley and did not bother to address noisy passengers who were disturbing the entire cabin on a night flight in spite of several requests from passengers. They did not bother closing the curtains from the galleys meaning a sleepless night for passengers in the back row. Call buttons were not attended for up to 2 hours and then all of a sudden three separate crew members were would wake you up at three different times from your sleep asking if you had pressed the call button. It is the shambolic service levels by the staff that seem to be letting them down. I will now choose other carriers that offer better connectivity and a more standardized level of service.

Delhi to Bangalore return. On the Jet Airways website the business class looks great. Don't be deceived! There was no leg rest, seat was quite shabby and no entertainment of any kind offered. Food was adequate, not great. Staff were nice. Flying business class these days one expects some minimum standards. Jet airways does not come close to this. When I complained by email to guest relations I got the standard response without addressing any of my queries.

LHR-BOM the food was pretty decent (Indian veggie is always going to win me over), inflight entertainment was very good and interactive. There was plenty of leg room. The short haul from BOM-BKK was decent though not as spacious.

London-Bombay absolutely hellish experience. Flight staff rude, unprofessional and very unhelpful. Never had such a dreadful experience in any of the airlines I flew in the past.

London-Delhi-Kathmandu return. London to DEL was some 5 hours delayed due to overbooked plane. The representative of Jet Airways at Heathrow was not at all interested or competent - she gave us a set of false information and a £21 voucher. Then finally on the plane our seats were again double-booked. The flight back was not better - KTM to DEL was overbooked. After having talked for almost two hours to around ten clueless Jet Airways representatives at not less than three different check-in counters someone finally managed to get us on an Indian low-cost carrier named Spicejet. Thanks to a dash through the airport we closely made it into the jet and got to DEL (no need to tell that on the flight we did not receive any service or refreshment since Spicejet is a low cost carrier). Then in DEL we learnt that all efforts were useless : Jet Airways did not manage to bring the other flight to DEL in time (where Spicejet at the same time did) and our flight to Heathrow was delayed 3 hours. Therefore, we got to Heathrow vastly too late and missed our connection flight back to Hamburg. That meant one night in Heathrow.

SIN-BOM on A330, HJR-VNS and DEL-SIN on B737. Flights to/from Singapore on-time. A330 flight was pleasant, friendly-enough cabin staff, ok food, good IFE system. B737 domestic flight was a 30-minute hop on a near-empty aircraft, so nothing to remark on. Flight back to Singapore was woeful however : IFE system on these aircraft prone to stopping movie, with no resume option, after 3rd interruption I gave up. Service distinctly unfriendly, with snacks only distributed to random pax - we missed out. One toilet was unserviceable, leaving only one toilet for the entire Y cabin for the near-6-hour flight. Seat pitch not as bad as some Y- class configs these days.

Delhi-Bangalore. Service quality of Jet has deteriorated. Non-availability of complimentary breakfast and no courtesy to inform commuters about it. Lack of sufficient quantity and quality of food onboard. Crew supplying Non-Veg dishes when we ordered Veg ones. May be even Air India may be better than Jet!

Staff in Heathrow do not tell you that if you transit through Mumbai, any duty free over 100ml will be taken off you in Mumbai. Cabin Staff inattentive and rude, transit in Mumbai is a complete nightmare, food onboard very disappointing. They no longer issue you with a comfort pack (toothbrush, sock etc). Jet Airways has gone down hill considerably in the last year or two and not consider using them again.

The flight from Johannesburg was delayed more than two hours, causing me to miss my connecting flight to Bangkok. The transit through Mumbai was a nightmare. Mumbai security people were very brusque, and I was followed by a security officer carrying a gun and yelling “Where are you going” when I wanted to visit the restroom. I couldn’t find any Jet Airways ground staff to assist. A security officer managed to get hold of a Jet Airways staff member who was very grumpy and unhelpful, she told me that she would make a new booking and I had to wait. She didn’t get back to me and I had to chase her all over the chaotic airport building. This was followed by a waiting period of 10 hours. When I finally got to the gate, I was treated like the most wanted criminal in India. Jet Airways staff rudely removed me from the queue and barked at me to go to security. I had already checked through security 10 hours earlier! The nightmare didn’t stop here - the tray table at my seat on the plane was broken. Not once was an apology offered for all the inconvenience caused. This was my first and last flight with Jet Airways.
