LHR-MAD-DKR. Flight left Heathrow 45min Late. Made up time inflight so arrived on time. Flight left Madrid late. Shocked to see that I had to pay for all food and drink onboard thinking this was a full service carrier, for the price paid I expected at least water. Only received a little sandwich and drink on the Las Palmas - Dakar leg. Seating surprisingly comfortable and had plenty of legroom on A321. Cabin crew looked grumpy. Had a very unpleasant woman try to take my hand luggage away from me while trying to board. Iberia has a policy of only 1 roller bag and then your personal object can only be a small bag, no backpacks or anything similar. I had a medium sized bag of Duty-Free i just bought at Madrid airport so beware.

MAD-BOS Airbus 340-300. Excellent flight. Had a delay of 1 hour but it was solved very well. Flew economy, row 22 L, had plenty of space and the crew the best I have found on an Iberia flight in the last year.

Sao Paulo-Madrid-Sao Paulo. Rude and unhelpful flight attendants. The food was ok. Aircraft was very old and smelt. A330 didn't have entertainment system, so an almost 10 hrs flight with nothing to do. The worst airline I've flown.

LAX-MAD-TFN-MAD. The service standard on my flights was not that much worse than on American or United. By far the most dispiriting aspect of the trip was the cabin interiors and lack of personal inflight entertainment systems in steerage. Three screens down the middle of the cabin, flickering with one movie after another, for stretches the screen went blank. The food was barely edible. One of the attendants working my stretch was very personable. The entire crew vanished after the meal service. No water offered on the 11 hour flight. The pillow and blanket were a bit more substantial than American carriers. I got business class on the legs to and from Tenerife from Madrid. The food was above average and the service in the empty cabin was friendly and efficient.

LPA-MAD-LHR. Both flights on Airbus A321. First flight on time, second 45 minutes late. Seats OK and aircraft clean and tidy. Not used to having to buy drinks/food on what I thought was a full service airline - not a low cost carrier. Would not use Iberia if I had a choice.

LCG-MAD-LCG. An hour flight time with the worst legroom I've ever experienced. It was impossible to move my legs. I have some concerns about speed of evacuation in an eventual emergency. Food and Drinks to buy were very expensive. Same service as LCC but double priced. Fly with them when there is no option to choose.

MAD-LAX-MAD. Great value for Money. Great food for economy class and great staff. Inflight entertainment was not so good due to it being so old however, but comfortable seats.

BRU-MAD-MVD return in c class. I just would like to mention how much better they are with short and medium haul flights and how terrible and reluctant they are to give good service on long haul flights. Ground staff, onboard staff and their entire fleet of A340 needs revamping. Tatty with old seats that never work properly and food is inedible. Onboard FA's are rude and lazy.

Heathrow-Madrid-Johannesburg. Seats uncomfortable, service appalling. No personal entertainment on any of the flights. Food was awful! For the return trip I requested vegetarian food thinking they couldn't go wrong with a salad. Was given a plate of rice with a couple of cooked tomatoes which was inedible. Breakfast was just as bad. Crew going to SA were very unfriendly but from Jo'berg to Madrid very nice. Would like to know why with all the complaints that are in the reviews nothing is done about the service.

Madrid to Guayaquil. Cramped seating, no personal entertainment, very poor food, disinterested staff. Return flight, again cramped seating, no personal entertainment, food marginally better, but staff worse and positively rude at times. Toilets in poor state. Of the seven of us travelling, opinion unanimous and we hope never to travel Iberia in the future!

ALC-MAD-BOS-JFK-MAD-ALC in economy. Domestic sectors, on time, polite crew although one cannot expect much for a short flight. Madrid to Boston, plenty of empty seats so had a row of 4 to myself. Crew ranged from indifferent older male stewards to really friendly stewardess. The food was awful. Was offered wine twice and although crew do not make frequent drink runs. Flight back almost full. The seat was fine with enough leg room and I was able to sleep. Food was very good. Runs with tea and coffee and then crew disappeared. Breakfast average, plenty of tea and coffee. Crew efficient and friendly, this time mainly older female stewardesses. They do not have seat back screens, still have the older big TVs.

MUC-MAD-LIS return in Economy - booked at short notice and chose Iberia due to the price. Despite my last review in favor of Iberia this trip brought back memories of the old days: 3 out of 4 flights delayed by at least 45 minutes and really tight seating onboard (beware rows behind row 12 on their A320 and rows behind row 7 on their A319). I missed my connecting flight on the way to LIS by a few minutes - however voucher for an overnight at a nearby hotels and boarding pass for the next morning were provided within minutes. Staff service levels - while far from great - are reasonable.

This review may be tainted by the fact that I've been stranded in Bogota by their latest pilot strike and have forked out $1,500 to fly back Air France! They think that bumping my flight from Friday to Monday is 'reasonable'. On the website it says they will transfer 'passengers' to other airlines. Iberia economy class truly is 'cattle class' in the skies. Lack of individual entertainment systems wouldn't be so bad if it were not that half of the earplug jacks on the seats do not work at all. The food is awful. Whilst other airlines do at least make a pretence of looking after economy customers, with Iberia you're in no doubt that you are simply there to shut up and fill the seat.

Madrid-Vienna-Madrid. Flights on time. Seat comfort ok. No food or drink for a 3hr flight - only to purchase onboard. No IFE. FA's nice and polite. Bags fast on belt both ways.

LHR-Madrid-Tenerife - standards (never great) have declined so it's barely above budget airlines. The worst was being placed in the back row with a drunk passenger almost comatose on the aisle seat. They couldn't get us to another seat as plane was full. They came through with the drinks trolley and served him beer. When my wife complained the stewardesses said it was her job to sell as much alcohol as possible. Astonishingly unprofessional from the crew.
