Jakarta to Makassar on B737-800NG. Economy class seat very good, cabin crew friendly and toilets clean. The food was not so good, improvements are needed, passenger safety procedures are good.

CGK-SYD. New cabin, flight attendants friendly and warm, snacks and water frequently offered, food was good. IFE contents needed to be updated but were fine, and the ticket fare was much cheaper than competitors.

ICN-CGK-ICN. The flight attendants are friendly and helpful. I was starving during the flight to Seoul and asked for juice since there is no snack bar, instead the Korean flight attendant gave me a bread with butter and jam, a tiramisu cake and an orange juice. I was impressed.

MEL-CGK-DXB-AMS return in Business Class. Check-in in Melbourne was smooth and helpful. Garauda use the Qantas business lounge which is ok, nothing special. Seating was comfortable, but not totally lay flat. The onboard food was poor. The crew were good and attended to everything that was requested with a genuine smile. The IFE was ok for content, but patchy and difficult to use with the hand held control. The business lounge in CGK was smart and relatively comfortable, but poor food and drink offerings. CGK-AMS via DXB on an A330-200. Drinks on boarding and a warm towel given by friendly staff. The seats looked large, with ample space betwee - Completely lay flat but terrible for sleeping on. IFE was the same as on the MEL-CGK flight. The food was disappointing, except for the breakfast. Everything was the same on the return legs, except for a 16 hr stop over in CGK. The enforced stop-overs in both directions make this trip really not worth the money. The wasted time spent in CGK airport - 22 hrs in total. Seating and poor IFE are negatives. On the positive side were the staff.

CGK-SIN. Boeing 737-800. Last flight in SE Asia before going back to the UK. GA ground crew in CGK managed to checked my bag through to LHR (for my BA flight that departed on the same day via SIN). Was seated in exit row and legroom was perfect for 6". IFE was good as usual and they are now equipped with moving maps. They offered a hot lunch which was tasty and both soft and alcoholic drinks. The aircraft was also equipped with mood lighting which makes the ambience better. Furthermore, the FA's were friendly, however, from my observation, it seems like on all GA flights I took in the past month all FA's have to behave in certain way, those wearing orange seems to carry the "cool" attitude and do not smile as much compared to those in blue and green. Improvements could be the language skills for long haul flights and a bigger IFE System.

Flew SYD-DPS-JKT-SYD. Lie flat seats are so important when it comes to overnight flights. The flight attendants seemed more enthusiastic than on previous flights.

SYD-CGK on A330-200, the aircraft was clean and new. Good seat pitch, nice cabin crew and good meal. Nice IFE but there's no moving map on the IFE.

Dubai-Amsterdam. The flight was on time. Cabin crew were indifferent with a lack of manners, but still ok. Airplane was new and clean. Food wasn't to my taste but then tastes are different. All in all the flight was absolutely value for money.

The food was cold and tasteless on both flights. The cabin crew didn't appear to enjoy their work and were unfriendly. For a supposedly new plane the seats were uncomfortable and the inflight entertainment didn't work on one of the seats, when we informed the cabin crew we were told there was nothing they could do. On the return flight my son was made to sit in a broken seat. We complained to the airline and got a poor response back 4 months after my initial email was sent.

CGK-NRT roundtrip in Business Class on AB-330. Depart from CGK close to midnight. Inflight service was great with attentive cabin crew. I opted for a sleep in the flatbed and woke up refreshed. Breakfast was good. Return flight from NRT was even better. Full lunch service with Japanese menu and wide selection of drinks. I had the opportunity to enjoy the entertainment system.

Jakarta to Pekanbaru. B737-800 with new cabin configuration, mood lighting and touch screen AVOD. Flight was 60% full, got the whole emergency exit to myself. Seat was comfortable and legroom on the emergency exit row perfect for a 6ft. Flight attendants were friendly and fashionable in terms of new uniforms. AVOD was more than enough for a short flight but food could be better. Improvements: food and FA's, although they are friendly, they should not chat loudly in the galley.

AMS-DXB. Flight on time, boarding smooth. Only 12 passengers for 36 Business Class seats. Crew attentive and helpful. Safety information still provided by the stewardess rather than by video clip. The food was lovely, the seat flat and the leg room spacious. The immigration clearance was completed during the flight - immigration officer checked all passenger's passports onboard. It took me 20 mins to wait for my luggage even though my luggage was tagged as Priority Baggage.

CGK-SIN, flight delayed 1 hr. Given small snack box at the gate. Inflight smooth, well informed by cockpit. Crew attentive and the food was lovely. Beverages included, soft drinks, wine and beer. Nice personal video, up to date.

AMS-DXB-CGK and DPS-CGK-DXB-AMS. Nice Food on first leg, drinks plentiful with a large selection. Stop in Dubai is tiring. You can get out but have to clear security again. Crew nice, distant but professional. Seat ok if you get an extra seat. IFE box on all window seats so no footrest. DPS-CGK delayed 45 mins with no explanation, delay handled well, passengers were given a snack box for a 20 mins delay. Crew was friendly and professional on this flight. Due to illness didn't try the food, tiring flight but was able to sleep due to 2 extra seats.

JED-CGK on an old B747. Old style Business Class cabin, I believe this aircraft is going to be phased out soon. Mediocre food with poor meal options. Cabin service was slow and cabin crews looked busy with themselves. Improvement needed especially on their cabin service.

JOG-DPS on B737-800 NG. Impressive level of quality and service for such a short domestic flight. Beautiful modern cabin interiors with AVOD inflight entertainment system (available for a 1hr flight) and great hospitality from professional cabin crew. Highly recommended.

Nice new A330, equipped with AVOD and friendly cabin staff. Flown in regional routes using B737 which also equipped with AVOD. Garuda's cabin staff shows the Indonesian hospitality. I noticed that the interior of the airline is using the 'gedhek' pattern which is a bamboo knitting found in traditional Indonesian houses.

CGK-SIN. New B737-800. On time departure, attentive service from FA's, welcome drink & breakfast served. Service is friendly and sincere, AVOD is available for this short 1hr 20 mins flight. GA is now using Changi Terminal 3 which is more convenient.

SIN-CGK-SIN. I fly this route frequently on both SQ and GA. I have generally had positive experiences with GA. Very attentive, friendly and professional crew. Nice new aircraft. Food is decent for a short flight. My only complaint is that there have been flight delays leaving CGK on 3 out of the 5 times I have flown them in recent months.

SBY-CKG-SBY, as a silver GFF holder. Very satisfied, flew Boeing 737-800NG. IFE was great, FA's were polite and kind, the only input is snack box must be improved.
