CGK-PER Economy. Chose this flight because I thought it was the only direct routing from
Jakarta to Perth other than Jetstar (who didn't fit with my trip dates). It was only a few
days before travelling that I discovered GA now only fly from CGK to PER via Denpasar. This
meant an extra couple of hours travel time each way, though this was the agent's fault for not
informing me, not the airlines. Flights were fine. CGK-DPS legs were virtually empty both
ways, DPS-PER very full. Both flights on the newer 737-800, and on the return journey there
were seat-back video screens in Economy. These kept the kids amused, although there was no
channel selection and the programming line-up for some reason consisted of the first 30
minutes of a film before it changed randomly to something else, then changed again, etc.
Comfortable enough seats, friendly staff, good service, good food (especially PER-DPS). Only
problem was a 3 hour delay leaving Perth on the way back (apparently the pilot was ill and
they needed to find a replacement). Food vouchers given for the wait, and things went smoothly
once we got going. Overall, I am happy with the experience, and would happily fly GA Jakarta
to Perth again if they resume direct flights.

SUB-CGK-DPS-SUB. SUB-CGK, flew on their B737-800, very nice. cabin was great, seat pitch is
great. No food, just snack and selection of drinks. FA was chatty and responsive. CGK-DPS
sector on their latest A330-200. The aircraft was brand new, with new seats - the business
class is a flat bed seat, economy class was improved had PTVs (finally) with a lot of movies
and music. Some kind of curry for lunch which was tasty. The cabin was a real great
improvement and the lavatory was clean. DPS-SUB was on B737-800 again.

Flew to Bali from Perth on a Boeing 737. Flight delayed 3 hours. Had to walk on the tarmac
at Perth International Airport to get onto plane. Executive Class a waste of money. No
headphones, no music, no movie. No menu (which you usually get in Executive or Business Class
on other airlines). They had run out of immigration forms for Indonesia so we were forced to
stand in line filling in our forms. Flew back to Perth Executive Class. Had headphones but
music and movie not very good. Had menu this time. Trip home was better than going but will
never fly Garuda again.

CGK-DPS-CGK. Flight to Bali on new Boeing 737-800, no IFE, no inflight magazine. Seat pitch is
ok, service was efficient and quick, the fried rice served is a bit cold. Return flight to
Jakarta on an old Boeing 737-300, again delayed for 20 minutes due to operational reason.
Service was quick and food was ok, no IFE and inflight magazine as well. Had to wait for 15
minutes for the correct baggage conveyor belt as it was not clearly mention.

Booked and paid for return flight Sydney to Denpasar 2 months ago for Oct 2009. Main reason
for choosing Garuda was availability of direct flights on required days. Travel agent informs
us yesterday that return flight has been cancelled. No refunds allowed. Only flight on the
same day was via Jakarta (adds 5 hours to flying time). Only option open to us is cut a day
off our precious holiday (planned for a couple of years) and fly home the day before planned
departure. Can't get refund on prepaid accommodation. Lost $150 on this deal. Haven't even got
in the air with Garuda yet. Not very happy at all.

DPS to CKG on Airbus 330. The flight left and arrived on time. All crews were very nice,
friendly and polite. The food was served fast and delicious although it was a short flight.
The aircraft was clean included the rest room.

SYD-DPS-SYD Executive Class A330. Decided to go GA rather than Jetstar, but not sure who is
worse. I really hope Garuda does some work on their service/offer soon as it's become so
dated and poor. The seats are large but the lumber support is awful. The foot rest on the way
back didn't work. I like the daytime flight up - lunch was good, but as usual they ran out of
choice by the time they got to our seats. There were amenity kits going there, but not on the
night flight back none (when you would have liked the eye shades!). The crew going up were
friendly, but coming back were tired and grumpy. The 5am breakfast service was not needed -
only half the cabin wanted to eat but we all got woken and lights turned to full.
With some new generation seats, a focus on service (and adjusting to some more clever
approaches like pre-ordering breakfast before sleep), a new IFE with choice that works, GA
should be able to go well ex Bali as the place continues to grow.

chatty.

CGK-KUL-CGK Economy Class. CGK-KUL plane is an old B737-400, cabin showed its age, food was
nice, 2 hot meal choices, no inflight magazine, IFE so-so. Service was ok. KUL-CGK in a newer
B 737-400, flight delayed for 2 hours, got a meal voucher to be used in KLIA. Food also offer
2 hot meal choices, FA's quite friendly and cheerful & looks like they've been serving Garuda
for some time.

SUB-SIN-DPS-SUB in Executive Class. Garuda operates B737-300 on SUB-SIN route. Seats are
comfortable, crew friendly. Food was tasty. SIN-DPS check in was smooth and GA shares the
lounge at Changi airport with KLM, Air France, and others. Aircraft used was A330-300 - seats
are wider and recline almost flat. Cabin crew and food were nice. All-in-all we were quite
happy to fly with GA and will use it again in future.

MEL-DPS Executive class. Very pleasant flight and punctual departure. Large business seats (mid
'90's style). Good selection of drinks (champagne, wines, beer, spirits), smoked salmon salad
entree, choice of three curries and cheesecake for dessert. Inflight entertainment was good but
dated. Crew very friendly and attentive. Requests were promptly handled and I would fly them again.

CGK-DPS return over peak holiday period. Both legs on time though at CGK it is important to note
that the gate and boarding time on the boarding pass is the one to believe - don't take any notice
of the disinformation boards. Food was tasty and service pleasant. Flights full but got exit row
window seat both ways. Overall a good flight experience. Only complaint is that Garuda IFE on both
domestic and intl routes is practically non-existent.

CGK-DPS economy A330. The flight was nice, its great because no delay. The space is quite big, good
service, good food, you can order milk, orange juice or tea.

Garuda Indonesia remains an average company for long-distance flights. In economy class little
space compared to other companies, no individual screen, nor rest-foot. In short, minimum. The staff
worries more about their compatriots that foreigners. On the other hand, the domestic flights are
suitable compared to the cost. The flights are often delayed several hours.

CGK-SRG-CGK, 45 mins domestic flight on B737-300. Cabin clean and well maintained. Garuda only
served snack box in this route. FAs attentive, pro actively ask you another round of drinks. Overall
a pleasant flight with Garuda.

CGK-DPS vv in Economy. Both flights on B737 and cabin clean. Somehow, the meals I had on these
flights were disappointing! CGK-DPS was an early 6 am flight, so American breakfast was served which
was just okay, while on the return flight, the dinner served was tasteless! Garuda meals were always
superb and delicious - either I'm not that lucky or the meals on GA has been downgraded. IFE is non
existent, but GA flights are comfortable. From my experiences, I can conclude that GA has three
types of FAs. The young ones, which are rare nowadays (miss their cheerful and playful service back
to years ago) are friendly and helpful, the middle aged ones are just okay, never find a rude one,
but rarely smile. While the old ones (rare as well) are very professional and make sure every one of
us meets our needs. Overall, flying with GA has always been a pleasure.

MEL-DPS Executive class A330-300. A pleasant flight. Food quite enjoyable. FAs were helpful and
kind, but the A 330 looks a bit old. DPS-YOG Executive class (B737-400) cabin interior was nice and
tidy - flight very nice.

JKT-DPS return). Executive Class Airbus 330-300. I specifically requested for these Airbus flights
from my travel agent, wanting to avoid flying in one of their (scary) 737s again. Spacious seats but
rather hard on the lower-back if you recline fully. I don't recommend sitting in the first row
because of the galley, especially aisle seat. The cabin interior is showing it's age but clean and
well-kept. Service was great. Food tasty. Lack of alcoholic beverage onboard (and in Business class
lounge!) is no fun. In fact if you want a beer in the Business Class lounge, you can give one of the
waiters some money and he'll buy a Bintang for you from the store outside. I was grateful that the
pilot on DPS-JKT route actually bothered to update us on weather and airport conditions. Given
Garuda's past safety record, they should make it a point to assuage any passenger worries or fears.
JKT-DPS pilot didn't say a word throughout the flight and it made me nervous! Overall, a pleasant
flight.

SYD-DPS Economy. Clean modern Airbus both flights, with comfortable seats and good leg room.
Efficient FA's, and food was excellent. Drink service prompt, and a good selection of beverages.
Flights on time, and as the plane was not full, it was possible to sleep over 4 seats in the centre
on return. Video very basic, with a few TV screens showing one film hanging from the ceiling.
Denpasar "arrivals" must be one of the worst, with long queues for both $25 Visas, and then more to
pass through immigration. It took 1 1/4 hours before we could reach our luggage. However,
"departures" was excellent, in a modern part of the terminal. Apart from videos and arrival, a good
experience, much better than anticipated!

SIN-DPS-SIN on economy. B737 aircraft cramped as expected. Request for emergency exit seats with
more legroom granted without fuss during check-in at both airports. Service quite good and warm.
Unlimited drinks including wine, but meal was just a cheap hot snack with some fruit. Inflight
entertainment was just video show without sound, but adequate for this 2-hour flight. The experience
was satisfactory for the cheap ticket price.
