Dubai-Beirut-Dubai in business class. Very impressive as the crew were attentive, I was escorted to my seat
and informed of the seat facility and the service. Entertainment system is excellent with plenty of choices.
Will be flying them again this month to Bangkok.

I bought tickets to Vietnam (mid Oct 2012) more than 2 months in advance: JFK to Dubai/Dubai to Vietnam.
Our check in at JFK was excessively long because the majority of passengers had excessive baggage. Plane
departed an hour late from JFK. Our tickets gave us a 1.5 layover between connecting flights from Dubai to
Vietnam, we expressed concern to stewardess about missing our connection. She said Emirates would hold
the plane for us. Not true! As our plane landed in Dubai an hour late, the connecting flight was already
boarding and though we raced to the distant gate, personnel refused to open the gate for us. We then spent
an unhappy hour getting Emirates to book us on the next days flight and to arrange a hotel for us. Missing
this flight was very disappointing since that was to have been our only full day in Ho Chi Minh City. On our
return flight from Vietnam to Dubai/Dubai to JFK we discovered at check in that somehow the Dubai
personnel had messed up our return tickets and our names could not be found on the flights schedule.
Fortunately I had a print out of our tickets, which Emirates check-in people apparently needed. After an hour
of anxiety they found our tickets, and booked us for the first shorter spur in business class to make amends.
That, however, did not make up for the earlier missed connecting flight, which very much damaged our trip to
Vietnam, nor for the anxiety on the return trip. Given these serious mistakes, I will not book a flight on
Emirates again.

BKK-DXB-CDG - 1st class both legs A380. Excellent clean new and noiseless planes. Had checked in in Koh
Samui with Bangkok Airways, Airbus 319 which are great, and then onto Emirates back to Paris. BKK-DXB,
good lounge, messy boarding and vile trip. Smallish suites but good amenities and excellent food drinks and
services all the way. Shower in 1st class is a plus. Great all the way. DXB-CDG, lounge is great and
enormous, great shopping. Loved them and will use again. Very experienced crew for such young age.

We had a return flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong and the BKK-HKG flight was the best flight. Very good
staff, attentive service, good recommendation of wine with the food. The bar at the back of the A380 was a
really great experience. Again very nice and service minded staff.

LHR-DXB-KUL A380 + B777. KUL-DXB-LHR A380s. Didn't enjoy the bussing at DXB. Nice crews and service
throughout with one exception on the DXB-LHR hop. ICE second to none. Find the 777 seats more
comfortable. This 777 was refurbished and did not have the massage facility. Food in KUL and LHR lounges
good with nice selections. Itinerary said T3 on outward hop but was directed to F lounge in T1 in DXB. J
lounge was being renovated. Crowded but bearable. Nothing to shout about. Return hop was in the very
busy T3 lounge. Not enough toilets. A FA made a repeated shouting request for my boarding pass in the
cabin. She was entitled to ask and check, but with her irksome manner - not acceptable. Have done Emirates
a few times now, value for money, even better when rebuilding is complete.

DXB to MAN Business class. Pick up was on time. Check in quick and into lounge in no time. As it was the
PM flight, lounge was not as busy as the midnight fish market it often resembles. Equipment was the
777-300 with lie flats and larger widescreens. Service efficient without being intrusive or overly friendly.
Food service adequate as normal, but the garlic bread is always cold and hard. Dessert orders are taken at
time of ordering and gone are the second rounds on the trays!!! Arrive don time, baggage wait fine and
chauffeur service always awaits. All in all fine.

ZRH-MNL-ZRH via DXB on B777 300ER. EK 88/332 and EK 335/87. Flights on all legs were very good. Very
friendly and welcoming crew. Food and Beverages great and tasty. Cabin Interior from DXB-MNL-DXB looked
worn out. Will fly Emirates again.

VCE-DXB, DXB-CMB, CMB-ROM in Y Class. What the A340 VCE-DXB doesn't have in top-notch AVOD it does
have in terms of comfort and space. The B777-300 ER on all other legs was just about OK for flights of 3-5
hours but for me would be a non-option on anything longer. I had aisle seats but the mid-seats would be
torture. Daytime food good, almost too plentiful. A breakfast of rubber omelette served on one leg. Inedible.
IFE was great on the newest 777 where the screen worked like an ipad. The other 2 were a version before,
quite temperamental so had pax behind hitting the screen (and therefore my seat) throughout the flight. DXB
Airport itself, although jaw-dropping in scale is another big airport/shopping mall and all the downsides
associated. As a 24 hour airport we lost our slot at 3am and could not be airborne until 90 minutes later. At
that time of day that is no joke. Good value for money however, would fly again on mid-haul flights but not
long-haul in Y class on 10-abreast 777.

On arrival at Melbourne airport we found our flight to London Heathrow via Singapore had been cancelled.
Emirates staff could not have been more helpful. We were re-routed via Sydney/Dubai to Heathrow with an
overnight stay at the Sheraton with meals and transfers provided. Upgraded to Business Class and received
excellent meals. Dubai to London was back to economy, but we were given the seats next to the exit and
again felt cared for. A great experience with excellent service both on the ground and in the air. A great
selection of in-flight entertainment made long flights more agreeable.

DXB - SIN. Flew on the late night flight. Check-in was slow in DXB terminal 3. Flight was comfortable but
attendants are almost robotic in their manner with passengers. Many speak English but need to learn how to
use it correctly. Did no appreciate being asked (after calling for service) "do you want something?" in an
unfriendly tone.

EK 406/7 A380 service from MEL to AKL and back. Outward was on F class and return on J. Check-in was good
was able to get seats I wanted. Pre-departure lounges at MEL and AKL were excellent. Mainly attributed to
the staff who want to do their best. Slight delays on departure but made time en-route for on time arrival.
Cabin Crew were a mixed bag. This is main complaint I have about EK. Some staff are extremely professional
and friendly whilst others are bordering on being aloof. IFE is ok, but can get dated for a frequent traveller.
Used on board Wifi. Connection speed very good and user friendly. Drinks service is the best one can get
while flying. Excellent choice and plenty of it. Breakfast on F class lacked in quality and presentation. Dinner
in J on return. Notice that EK has cut back on number of choices and menu is no longer good as it used to be.
This being said I only went for Cheese board which I found very interesting and satisfying.

Auckland - Manchester return, first time in business class. Outward from Auckland good flight, attentive staff in
business. Flight landed late so had to be bussed to the terminal which took 30mins. But it was all good. The return
flight wasn't a great experience. Manchester - Dubai was good. The business lounge in Dubai is awful - noisy and
open, wondered if it was a lounge really. A380 business class is upstairs and I was looking forward to the experience.
The seat was fine but the service was awful. So all in all, the flights were good on the way out compared to the way
back. I think the smaller size of business class on the B777-300 lends to a more comfortable attentive crew. The A380
experience regarding service was poor, perhaps the crew on the flight from Dubai- Melbourne were tired. I realise
there are more business class seats on the A380 but they have more crew to reflect this so attention to detail
shouldn't be a problem. The crew from Melbourne to Auckland were great. The lounge in Melbourne was also very good.
Would I fly Emirates again - I don't honestly know.

Flew SYD to Dubai, Dubai to Casablanca, return. Unimpressed with service, staff were barely civil, food was
ordinary. My friend even had to take her own meal tray back to the galley!

LGW-DXB-BKK return, business class. We secured a very good deal. The trip to and from Bangkok met
expectations, we had one outstanding flight (LGW-DXB on a 777-300ER), largely due to a competent purser
who was present in the cabin. Followed by a disappointing overnight flight on Emirates' flagship A380. The
seats on the 777s are far more comfortable and the length of the business class cabin on the A380 is such
that the toilet is a very long way away if seated at the front. Coming back flights were average, both legs on
777s of varying vintages. Cabin crew were fairly lazy and the pursers were conspicuous by their absence. Food
was generally good. We had 3 lunch services and one breakfast, due to the times of the flights. The
breakfast was the worst. The lunches were uniformly excellent, with 2 choices of starter and 3 or 4 main
courses. They were good meals, not just good meals for a plane. Wine was excellent. Entertainment was a
mix of ICE and ICE Widescreen. All functioned flawlessly, and unusually the airline-provided headset was
better than my own. If there's one thing Emirates needs to change, it's to bring back the trolley in business
class. The lack of the trolley slows the service down (on our final flight we waited 45 minutes for our main
course to arrive following the starter).
