Business and Economy class round trip from FRA to Bangkok. In business no flat lie bed; but overall
confort is good. In economy, can feel cramped on 777, good pitch but disappointing seat width. In
both class, good service and ICE in flight entertainment system. Transit in Dubai always painful,
business lounges are overcrowded and sometimes dirty. Overall Emirates provides very good value for
money. Seat comfort not up to highest standards (eg 777)- means you need to also check airline type
you will be flying in when booking on line - but fare usually cheaper than western competitors.
Flight experience can be enhanced by generous skyward system (round trip in economy in far east
destination + 200 euros can already provide you business upgrade for on way trip).

LGW-DXB-LGW in Business. Gatwick lounge good with good selection for breakfast. Seats on outbound
B777-200 flight were OK, but on return flight (A330-200) narrow, uncomfortable, and when seat in front
is fully reclined, this severely impacts on room and makes watching TV impossible. Food OK, cabin
crew service excellent. Dubai airport/lounges better than previously experienced, but we missed the
05:00 to 09:00 peak period. Complimentary chauffeur service efficient

GLA-DXB-PER - Having flown Emirates 2 years ago on same route and been impressed, was concerned that
wouldn't be as good this time. Efficient chauffeur pick up, and nice lounge at GLA. Plane to Dubai
left a few mins late, FAs good, food superb, ICE system good, seat standard J, but comfy enough.
Lounge in Dubai full, and airport full with people lying around. DXB-PER as good. Same on return
leg. Planes full all the way there and back but FAs coped well. Overall thought service was better
than 2 years ago, a must for anyone going east leaving the UK from the regions rather than using
Heathrow. 16.5 hrs flying time to OZ is much better than other carriers, well worth the money.

Round trip FRA-BKK. Most legs in Business. Excellent service, food okay, wonderful ICE system.
Seat comfort could be improved though - no full recline. Good value as ticket usually cheaper than competitors. In economy, good pitch but
seats too narrow (avoid 777-300, old version). Comfort improved on 777-200 and 777-300er. Transit smooth in Dubai, but expect overcrowded business lounge.

Economy Sydney to Dubai on A340-500. Flight attendants friendly and helpful which made the 45 min
delay less painful. The seat configuration on this plane is 2-4-2 but it becomes 2-3-2 as the
fuselage narrows towards the end of the aircraft. I was unfortunately seated on the first row of
the center 3 seats. This meant I had to watch TV and eat at an angle with my body twisted -
extremely uncomfortable for a 15 hour flight. Meal quality was average and leg room poor. On a
positive note, their ICE entertainment system was fantastic and crew were professional, smiley and
worked hard. Will give them another try but maybe this time with a shorter sector and a different
aircraft type.

LGW-DXB-SIN in business. Good lounge at Gatwick, but poor plane. Too cramped and nowhere near as
good as other operators. IFE was stuck and only had choice of about 3 films playing on a loop. Food
and win good though. Dubai lounge was packed, moved to the other one which was better. DXB-SIN was a
newer plane and had better seats and the IFE was good. But overall the product lags BA, Qatar and
the new Cathay 777's.

London Gatwick - Dubai - Kuala Lumpur and back. My 4th return flight on this route with Emirates.
Quite happy with the airline - good seats, decent food, great ICE system and most of all great
prices when booked well in advance. I'm not short but I do not like the height of the seats - in
reclining mode there's just no way to get your legs comfy, it seems the front of the seat tilts up
rather than down when reclining. We hate waiting at Dubai as it's so crowded with 10 minute toilet
waits even for men, but this time as a silver frequent flyer we could use the Emirates lounge which
made all the difference - an oasis of calm with enough soft seats to stretch out and sleep (we had a
4 hour early morning wait), showers and good food (better than on the planes). We always check in
online to get the seats of my preference, away from wailing kids, not above the wing so I can get
stunning views of Iran and preferably in one on the few sets of two seats together in the back of
the plane... but this time something went wrong and we got assigned row 22 seats rather than row 45
as we had selected (and had been confirmed)... FAs told us it was because of a change of plane but
that wasn't true. All in all a nice flight, would book again with them.

LGW-DXB-JNB-DXB-LGW. First flight on Emirates, primarily because they are £1k cheaper than BA or
Virgin to South Africa, albeit with a stop. After previous comments about the tired service and
interior I was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The lounge at LGW is spacious and
selection of food & drink is excellent (Verve Cliquot & Lamb chops may not be the best pairing but
what the hell). All four flights were on 777-300ER which are gradually being refitted. Unfortunately
I had the new seat for only 1 of the 4 legs - however I knew this in advance because this
information has been recently added to their website, so at least they are making an attempt to
manage my expectations. That said, I cant really understand the fuss with the old seat. Recline is
good, width generous and considering the price, it is good value. True it's not BA Club but the
difference in price is huge. The new seat is very nice, more privacy between seats, angle-flat
recline without intruding on seat behind and huge 19" monitor with ICE. Food on all legs average-to-
good, breakfast being the only notable disappointment. One thing to note as in previous reports -
try and get in the first 2 rows of business as it is directly behind first class and before the
galley, effectively it's own compartment. Limo service a real plus for the price & service
consistently good on all legs - have I just struck lucky?

JNB-DXB-GLA return continued flight from starting in Luanda, business class with whole family. Would
not waste the money on business class fare, service & quality poor on all legs. Still awaiting
response from Emirates re complaint. FA not helpful and required to request childrens meals on more
than 1 occasion. In comparison, BA far superior, only good aspect with Emirates is the car service
but with poor quality service its an expensive taxi.

MXP-DXB-MXP. My first time with this airline, so lots of expectations. Generally speaking the
quality of service in Economy Class is superior compared to the average European airlines. To Dubai
on a B777-300ER with good legroom and fantastic ICE; FA presence through the flight and very
attentive, as well as on return flight, which was on a smaller A330-200, whose entertainment system
unluckily had some problems (at least in my row). Food quite good on both flights. The only negative
aspect of my trip was the remote parking area in Dubai airport, which caused a more than 20 minutes
bus ride to the arrival area: this is due to the construction of the new terminal that I think will
be completed very soon.

BHX-DXB-COK return Business. Efficient pick up and drop at BHX. B777-300ER to DXB, efficient FA's
and great wine. Seats not the lie flat, but ICE amazing. DXB to Cochin B777-200, 0430 depart, and
offered breakfast immediately, when all you wanted was a kip. FA's provided coffee on waking. COK -
DXB again B777-200, 1030 depart on time. Excellent lunch, wines not up to BHX leg. Very pleasant
FA's. DXB-HX, Airbus 330-200 is getting old and looking it. Seats very narrow after the 777. ICE was
dire after the 777. Excellent food and service, great wine. The plane was full and you see the
advantage of flying from BHX.

SYD-DXB-LCA-DXB-SYD: Chose to take the longer route through Bangkok on the 777-300. SYD-DXB was
great with decent meal and seat I chose prior to departure (first row immediately behind Business
Class). As with other passengers, I noticed that after the meal service, there were no FAs in sight.
ICE was quite good and pretty user friendly. 3 hour stopover in Dubai chaotic. 30 minute bus ride
from the aircraft to the terminal building is unacceptable. The site of pax basically setting up
camp in the terminal also not a good look. DXB-LCA and LCA-DXB were fine on 777-200. 9 hour stopover
in DXB again was disgusting. Took 3 hours to get out of the airport, only to have 3 hours rest in
the Emirates-provided hotel room and then back to the airport. DXB-SYD fine. FAs not visible DXB-BKK
but moreso BKK-SYD. However, I noticed a few of the FAs snap a couple of times at pax around me. Not
great value, but I only booked my flight one week prior to departure. Generally a decent experience
but will try to avoid Dubai in future.

PAR - DXB - SYD. Firstly, Emirates ticket prices vary by 120%. So if you bought early you get a
great deal but if you buy at the last minute then you get Singapore Airlines prices and a budget
flying experience. The first flight from Sydney to Dubai was like being in a wheel clamp. I am tall
and the seats were terrible. I kept the person in front of me awake and also annoyed the person
behind me. This is because metal was rubbing in my knee and the seats were too high which cut
circulation to my legs from the front cushion. Then came the service - where entire rounds of drinks
were simply forgotten. The staff were quite happy to rest. I was happier to take the longer Bangkok
flight as that was in a 777-300ER and seating was more enjoyable. But even then I had to go looking
for drinks and refeshments. I missed out on my light snack because I was out of my seat at the time.
The bottled water was essentially from the desalination plant. I would have expected spring water
given that I was flying from Paris to Dubai on one part of the trip. The food was ok but not great.
For a person of my height there certainly was not enough food. The airlines has also a very strange
policy on ticketing. They seem to allow very short people to be in exit rows and tall people to be
any place on the plane. I also didnt appreciate having to deal with panic and fear in the minds of
people who had never travelled before. This was caused by staff who were too lazy to reseat
passenger so that mothers and children could travel together. So that caused this maternal panic at
exit time as mother and carry-on tries to plough through crowded lanes.

MAN-DXB-KHI J class. 777-300 full flight out and J to capacity. Standard J class service, with
pleasant staff. Meal served quickly and then a case of lights out. Played with the ICE more than
sleeping. Left 1.5 hours late which seems to be the norm now. Quick shower in the lounge and onto
A330 to Karachi. Half full and good service. Only issue was no bags were delivered to a vast number
of pax on arrival at KHI. I had an onward to Lahore and then had to constantly phone and chase for
the bags which arrived 3 days later - this is letting them down.

Flew 4 sectors with them, all Economy. Tried the airline as plenty of folks had sung their praises.
SIN-DBX (Boeing 773), DBX-CMN (Airbus 332), CMN-DBX (Airbus 332) and DBX-SIN (Boeing 773). The
airline certainly optimises the space on the planes, going for a 3-4-3 configuration on the 773 and
a 2-4-2 on the A332. Packed to the brim with minimal seating space and leg room. Comfort for the
passengers seems to be the last thing considered. Only had the chance to try the latest inflight
entertainment system "ICE" on the last leg. Despite the bigger PTVs, the shows are not up to date
compared to Emirates competitors. Food in Economy average, hardly meeting the great stuff
compliments I have heard. Service among FAs was uneven, despite having an impressive crew that can
speak more than 7 languages on the last flight. Hardly see any FAs during the flight; most of them
preferring to hide at the back chit-chatting. When asked for a blanket as my seat was missing one on
1 of the flights, the FA returned with one and a nonchalant stare plus "OK?". What happened to
manners? Certainly did not leave up to its glittering image.

GLA–DXB–SIN–BNE, PER–DXB–GLA Economy. Online check-in worked fine with dedicated on-line check in
queue at Glasgow very short with only 3 people - in Perth queue was longer and got seats I booked.
GLA–DXB (777-300LR) flight had the ICE entertainment system which is brilliant but the onward
DXB–SIN–BNE (777-300) leg had old Emirates TV & Radio system which in comparison is very poor. The
return PER–DXB–GLA flights had ICE system thankfully. FA’s friendly and meals were ok but nothing
special. At just under 6 feet I found the seats were fine but this would depend on how large the
person in front and beside you is.

DAC-DXB-LHR return last week. Service good - only LHR-DXB sector has lie flat seats on the
777-300ER. These new J class seats in the 777-300ER are quite comfortable and a refreshing change
the seats in the 3 class 777-200 or 2 class 777-300ER. DXB has become too crowded and cannot wait

Heathrow-Dubai-Perth return. They messed up my seat allocations for both legs, the online check-in
service and pre-selection of seats is a sham. Emergency exit seats with extra legroom were allocated
to short passengers, while several very tall passengers on the flight had to suffer. Emirates planes
have poor legroom and eating is a major challenge without elbowing off your neighbours drink. Had to
laugh when we were given a menu, this was utterly pointless as both on the way to Perth and the
journey back, by the time they reached us at the back of the aircraft they had run out of choices
anyway - and attitude was too bad that you get what you are given. The upgraded IFE system was
available on the short leg from London to Dubai, but not the long leg to Perth where you got the old
ICE. If you are travelling long-haul economy then Singapore easily still the best.

AKL-DXB-MCT. Auckland to Dubai via Melbourne on A340-500. Lack of flat beds in business on a 14
hour flight is enough to change carrier if I could find an alternative. Great service but a complete
waste of time adding your preferences into your Skywards profile. I am a gold member and have yet to
get the seat I asked for in any of the 18 flights I've been on since August.
