BCN to Berlin SXF. Used online check-in and was allowed to board transfer bus right after "speedy
boarding group" only to be waiting a longer period on the bus. Not much point doing this and paying
for so called "speedy boarding" clearly appears to be a rip off. A319 was pretty worn by the looks
of its interior. No IFE or free soft drinks/ coffee as usual. Expensive drinks and sandwiches are on
offer though. Departed on time and arrived in SXF 5 minutes early. Crew was professional and seemed
organised. Considering the price of EUR 34.99 for this flight, it was a fair go but one should not
expect too much service from EasyJet.

SXF-GLA-SXF. I am usually quite pleased with easyjet. The inflight service is minimum, FA's were
never being pushy when it comes to selling food and drinks. I would say they were aware of their
duties and responsibilities and carried them out well. On my return flight from GLA, it was the
first time I encountered a rude check in staff. She was probably happier checking out her glamorous
nails than being polite. She said that she wanted only identification, when I offered to show my
reservation print out. Then she flipped my passport, and rudely asked what kind of passport it was.
I asked if she could read, it was stated there. She mumbled something and mentioned my nationality
and then continued flipping my passport. Perhaps she would like to consider a new desk at the
immigration counter!

BCN-NCL-BCN. Long queues for check-in, but not a problem as I had 5 hours to kill before my flight.
Both flights on time, staff polite and friendly, aircraft clean. Only problem the uncomfortable
seats, ended up with a stiff neck, but at 70€ return what can you expect? Pleased to see uniform has
been changed. I usually travel alone so never bother with speedy boarding, I dont care where I sit.
For me its the best option to get to NCL cheaply

Bristol to Venice. Arrived at airport just under 2 hours before departure before being given
boarding in group B, ie. the last to get on the plane. As we have a 2 year old son I questioned why
we no longer had Priority Boarding and was told that this now only applies to infants under 2.
Luckily we managed to get seats together but I'd like to know how Easyjet expects people with
toddlers and young children to potentially sit apart. Just makes the whole experience a lot more
stressful than it already is with the whole non-allocated seating scrum. I've come to expect low
levels of service and delays but have no other option for flying from South Wales to Venice but this
takes the biscuit!

I flew easyJet for the first time PRG to BRS - one-way only - as I couldn't get my usual flight with
CSA from PRG to LHR. It wasn't even cheap! I usually pay £260 for an economy class ticket once a
week from LHR-PRG-LHR - This easyJet ticket was a one-way purchased for 8,500 CZK which is approx
£225 - I then bought "Speedy Boarding" for 350 CZK which is approx £9 / £10 - after understanding I
would be able to board the plane earlier than most other passengers and select my seat - what kind
of airline lets passengers pick their own seats? I got to board approx 15 seconds before other
passengers - seriously! So once on the plane, everyone else starts picking their seats - and then
asking each other if they can swap etc... so they can sit next to their family etc... crazy idea.
There is no head rest on the seats - it's just an extended seatback with no definition of a
headrest. Seat was very up-right. One good thing (for Czech passengers on this route) was that all
flight announcements were pre-recorded in English and Czech (Dáme a pánové...).

LTN-LIS-LTN Checked-in online, would strongly recommend it if you just have hand baggage to avoid
the queues at the terminal. Flight left 20 mins late but made up time along the way and landed
ontime. Portuguese announcements made. Crew were very attentive and professional. Return flight
delayed due to security issue at LTN and also the bad weather in LIS. No Portuguese announcements
made, wasn't sure if the recorded announcement was working. Crew again attentive and professional,
however no catering was provided as it was not loaded at LTN. This could be because of the new
catering company, not the crews fault. Only a regular water service was offered and you had to keep
hold of the glass as they had no glasses left. This is a rare occurance as my previous flights with
easyJet have been catered. Overall, value for money and good airline to fly with.

I recently flew easyJet from Luton to Amsterdam. The check-in staff were barely awake, and everyone
in the check-in queue was treated as an inconvenience. The cabin clean, but the in-flight catering
was laughable. I really don't see the point of easyJet printing the "menu" booklet, as you get
whatever the cabin crew seem to decide you can have ("I'll like a bacon bloomer, please", "Don't got
nun, got turkey, 4 quid"). However, no matter what you do, don't be fooled by the £4 "Speedy
Boarding" rip-off. On the outward leg, speedy boarding meant first onto the transfer bus then free-
for-all at the plane. One member of the cabin crew remarked "Speedy boarding - it never works". The
return leg was even worse. SB passengers were lined up in a "special" aisle, and when the plane
started to board the crew made sure that this aisle was LAST to be allowed to board. I know you get
what you pay for in this life, but I take exception to paying for something I have no chance of
getting.

Why does EasyJet encourage on-line check-in but then allocate loading priority near the end (C out
of A to D queues)? In any case, queues a total joke and never enforced by staff. Just look at
length of A queue vs. others. And never pay for priority boarding. Poor system sets me in a bad
humour before even getting on board.

BRS-NCL. Flight up no real problem. seats on 737-700 were comfortable. Return flight was something
else. Boarded the aircraft to be greeted by senior FA leaning on galley and chewing gum. His way of
asking if I wanted a drink was to stare at me and say "Yeah?". bought a coffee and cheese sandwich.
Coffee made with cold water. Easy Boarding, which costs £6.00 is a farce. Staff at NCL just laughed
as everyone pushed to the front regardless. easyJet cabin crew have a way of making you feel you are
interrupting their day. Some flights I have no choice but to fly Easyjet. But I have found BA
cheaper and more attentive on others.

Berlin to Lisbon return. A a very satisfactory experience at a very reasonable price. Crew friendly
and professional and planes clean, just the lack of seating comfort (impossible to recline seat
back) started to show on this 3 hour flight, but was bearable. I really do not see the point of
paying more, plus losing time when connecting through the hub of a so called full service airline. I
found it interesting, as also another reader wrote here, that Easyjet flights are using airbridges,
whereas TAP Air Portugal flights are often parked on a remote tarmac and passengers bussed to the
terminal.

First time on Easyjet for us, Bristol-Venice flights plus hotel booking. Speedy boarding a joke; no
separate queues at either airport, so access to the gate was body-blocked by those who hadn't paid the
extra charge. Arrived at the Venice hotel 10.30pm to be told our room wasn't available. We were
given a free downgrade to a nearby hotel with same star rating but much inferior specification. Yes,
it was a cheap holiday, but we didn't get what we paid for. In future we'll stick to the slightly more
expensive budget airlines.

BFS to FAO. No queues at check-in. Boarded 40 minutes before departure. No chance to grab a cup of
tea at Belfast. Once boarding cards were scanned and passports checked, we waited for ages to board.
Obviously the crew were not ready. A complete waste of time boarding so early. Cabin crew on
outbound sector totally uninterested. They could hardly string a sentence together when on the PA
system. On the way back the cabin crew were professional, efficient and friendly. The facilities
though are pretty grim for a 2hr 45 minute flight. The legroom was insufficient and the snacks and
drinks were limited. Easyjet is a good option when its cheap. I paid £230, and its not worth that
much. Unfortunately from Belfast easyjet is the only choice.

loudly of the four pints of beer each they had drunk at Bristol Airport. They were then served four

emergency exists when they boarded the flight; they certainly were not by the time it landed. This
raises a number of issues concerning flight safety on this airline.

Fantastic service. My wife fell on our holiday and had stitches to her face and leg. After queuing
for an hour at Nice I asked for a SA ticket. This was given, plus, without asking for it, a
wheelchair. We were whisked through security and all queues to board first then deplaned into a
minibus at destination to arrive in terminal first, then given another wheel chair to get to our
car. All this was done by the airline and handling company without another word from us. Couldn't
fault a thing on the flight either.

GLA-LTN with Easyjet. Flew back from LHR with bmi. Interesting comparison - EZY fare was less despite
booking it later, though not by much. Online check-in is great but I had a problem in producing a
printable boarding pass. Online check-in avoids the need to buy speedy boarding - you board after the
Speedies which is soon enough - so if you can avoid having to take hold baggage it is a worthwhile
thing to do. You can also do it many days in advance which enables you to check-in for the return
flight before you have departed. bmi's web check-in was only available 24 hours prior to departure so
we couldn't use it for the return flight, though machine check-in, not available to EZY, was fine.
bmi, though, do give you allocated seats so there is no boarding scrum which is one of the worst
things about flying the locos. The flight was OK, as was the bmi return. Easyjet's cabin crew will try
and sell those scratchcards which is rather tiresome but otherwise the service was similar to bmi's.
Easyjet seat was acceptable, but bmi's was more comfortable and the seat pitch was better. Luton Vs
Heathrow is a personal opinion but I prefer Heathrow so bmi gets the nod there but when all things are
considered, bmi was a better experience but not by that much and I will happily use Easyjet in the
future.

complaint re EasyJet is the no assigned seats. Have dealt with that before with Southwest here in

stress and standing-in-line times for passengers. With assigned seats, this would be a much better

Yes, had the same experience a few weeks ago, when Easyjet did not live up to the Speedy Boarding
promise. Flight boarded at Luton (to Glasgow) in order of passenger arrival at the gate, at the top
of the stairs before descending into assigned boarding queues. On getting downstairs to "plane" level,
everyone was already walking out to the aircraft. I was annoyed, and contacted customer service soon
after, and was told that a refund was impossible, indeed "read the small print". Am travelling
tomorrow with them again- its still the cheapest for me to London- BA and even Ryanair were more
expensive, and they are much nicer than Ryanair.

Beware of paying for Easyjet Speedy Boarding. Flew to Amsterdam and back 8th / 9th October 2007, and
paid £5.00 for Speedy Boarding. On the first flight from Luton there were about 35 people in the
Speedy Boarding queue (35 x £2.50 = nice profit). The line was called first, as it should have been,
but before it was clear, the Easyjet passenger agent also opened line SA and A. When questioned he
said that he was just trying to speed up the boarding !! On the return trip, the flight arrived so
early that they didn't even bother with the queuing system at the gate, so whatever category you were
in didn't matter. The senior cabin crew member received several complaints about this and said that
affected passengers could get a refund if they contacted Easyjet. I tried, and they refused. "Read the
terms and conditions, Speedy Boarding is non-refundable in all circumstances". Once bitten twice shy.
Don't bother to buy Speedy Boarding as it is money down the drain, or in this case money in Easyjet's
pocket. Check in on-line if you can, you will get into queue A (but don't be mislead A is actually
queue number 3 of 4 behind speedy and special assistance). And try to take your luggage on board as
they now charge £2.00 per trip to check a case in. All of these "value added" extras are just a rip
off. I'll be flying with BA or another scheduled airline if I can. When you add it all up, there
really isn't that much difference in the total price when you take everything into account.
Hope this helps anyone who reads it.

Bucharest - Milan - London Gatwick (risky low-cost carrier 'double hop'). The first flight from
Bucharest, Romania went without a hitch. There was an airport change but this was advised by email a
day prior (always pays to check your email right up to departure time) and I don't blame the airline
as I understand there were problems with the airport Easyjet usually uses. Second flight from Milan
was delayed by three hours, but to my surprise I was provided with a €4 refreshment voucher. The FAs
were all friendly, and as a well-seasoned low-cost traveller I found the experience refreshingly

Even the seats are more comfortable. We'd added Speedy Boarding as the flight was almost full before
we left the UK, so that made both check-in and boarding itself very easy. The flight was full, but
the plane was clean when we boarded. Departure was marginally ahead of schedule, flight attendants
were friendly and efficient. We find everything about easyJet far preferable to Ryanair. The only
quibble I would have is that the designations Speedy Boarding and Priority Boarding are too similar

Palma to Liverpool with Easyjet. Crew pleasant, the flight was good, but as for boarding! As you know,
we are all allocated a boarding group - aside from the extra cost groups of Speedy board & priority
boarding, comes group A. The 'I have children up to 6 feet tall, and I'll get on first, pushing and
shoving, fighting tooth and nail' group. They are clearly going to push to the front and the hell with
the rest of you. Surely common sense should prevail and parents of small (and I mean small) children -
that is babes in arms only, with all their paraphanalia should be the only ones in group A. But no,
anyone of primary and secondary school age charged to the front. We are all the children of someone.
Yet Easyjet still lets them on first. By the time those of us without kids get on, the children were
still bouncing around - get on, sit down, that's it. What's so hard? Only children up to 5 years old -
and that's pushing it need extra time. Anyone else should wait their turn.

redundant. Don't know if this issue is at our end (using the mac Safari browser) or the website's so
be warned. Fortunately we arrived at the airport in plenty of time and could check in normally. At
Gatwick those who purchased speedy boarding would've been fuming as this only gave them priority on
the short bus ride from the gate to the plane and if you were last on the bus like us you were first
up the steps and got the pick of the seats. Both flights comfortable and clean enough for a budget
airline and arrived on schedule. Overall Easyjet seems to give very good value for money, though as

Inflight service quick and friendly although I did not purchase anything. Return flight was mixed bag
as we sat at the airport waiting to see if the aircraft had arrived only to suddenly say it was

Almost nothing to buy or worth buying at 2300hrs at night. When we boarded late, one of the crew said
to me (bearing in mind the flight wasn't full by any means ) you should only have 1 piece of hand
luggage - I replied, "and you should have been here 2 hours ago". We were in a party of 9, only had 7

thoses needing extra time to board arrived at the plane after the general boarding bus. After about
5 minutes of trying to make people move to accommodate families with kids we then waited a further
10 minutes at the gate. Once we were ready to go the flight attendants did the safety announcements
in English and played a recording of the flight safety announcements in Spanish
which would have been ok if we weren't in Portugal! It became apparent that none of the flight
attendants spoke a word of Portuguese and relied on other passengers to translate for them when they
noticed a fair of elderly Portuguese ladies seated in the emergency exit row.
Once in the air we were offered outragiously priced drinks and snacks by a flight attendant who bore
a striking resemblance to Cruella De Ville complete with enormous fingernails.
We arrived at Luton 75 minutes late and gave a sigh of relief to excape from the clutches of Easyjet
forever. We usually fly between Portugal and London with TAP or BA and will certainly be returning to them in
the future. In Canada we use discount carrier Westjet, who when compared to Easyjet, look like a luxury airline.

LTN-BCN return. Clean planes, friendly and efficient crew, reasonable
onboard catering prices, and on-time departures both ways. The only
frustrating part of the journey was Luton airport, but that's not
easyjet's fault. The airport is chaotic and badly designed. All in all
the easyjet experience was great, and price was much cheaper than any
other carrier on what is a busy route.

NCL-ALC return. With the exception of amateur cowboy ground handling
(Swissport ) the Easyjet journey was faultless once aboard. Travelling
with a disabled, wheelchaired OAP can be a fraught experience at the
best of times and my flights with 3 other major airlines out of NCL have
been on occasion terrifying. On this trip we relaxed and enjoyed the
professionalism and humanity shown towards us and the other 4 disabled
passengers on board by the FA's by their genuine courtesy. All this and
only £130 return at peak season weekend travel.

LPL - PMI - LPL : very easy experience each way. Both flights left
marginally ahead of schedule and arrived 20/35 minutes early. We
checked in online to avoid the check-in queues - but there weren't any
at Liverpool anyway. We bypassed the check-in floor at Palma, but
assume that we did avoid a wait there. Online check-in meant we were
allocated to boarding group A, but when you take into account groups SB
(speedy boarding) and SA (special assistance, including parties with
young children) it's almost the equivalent of the old group C. At
Liverpool, there were lots for SB and SA, but at the time that boarding
began only 4 of us in A so we were transferred to the plane on the same
bus as SB and SA. The whole boarding procedure was well handled as we
departed from a gate where a row is already established for each
boarding group and the priority system is carefully applied, even to
putting SB passengers onto the front end of the transfer bus. There was
more of a melee at Palma, but the ground crew did keep strictly to the
boarding priority system, so would-be pushy passengers still had to wait
their turn. Both planes were clean and comfortable (neither of us is
tall enough to suffer major discomfort from the seat pitch) and the
cabin crews were friendly and efficient - the senior crew member on the
outward leg even made jokes against herself! We continue to be impressed
by easyjet, especially as the costs for July flights to a major holiday
destination were so reasonable.

Liverpool to Krakow. Check-in open one hour early so no queues: check-in
staff helpful and cheerful. Our group of four used Speedy Boarding which
worked well for us. New, clean A319; the leg-room is fine for the
shortish journeys involved. Thirty mins. delay on departure made up on
journey. FAs smart, cheerful and helpful: scratchcard selling non-
intrusive. Food OK but limited choice owing to 'demand on previous
flight' (so what - load factor for all flghts is known?): same on return
journey but with virtually no food left other than packet snacks.
Returned on 17th from Krakow. We anticipated check-in opening (on this
occasion 10 mins. early, two desks) and thus avoided the longish queues
which formed immediately thereafter. Speedy Boarders had separate 'bus
to plane (shared with those with children - no problem on this
occasion). 20-25 mins. late arrival of A319 again made up on return
journey. Flight attendants equally efficient, cheerful and helpful. All
four of us thoroughly impressed with our first experience of easyJet and
the price we paid. And all this with the added bonus of avoiding the
chaos and squalor which is now the Manchester airport experience. Highly
recommended.

Ciampino - East Midlands - an otherwise excellent journey spoilt by the
chaos at check in. Arriving 15 minutes after the gate opened, I was
still only half way down the queue when check in for my flight was due
to close because of passengers arriving early for later flights. I fly
quite frequently from Ciampino, but the references in previous posts
about all passengers in one queue shows the level of the problem. We
need separate check in desks for each flight - all in one queue simply
does not work!

Madrid-Berlin (Schoenefeld). Paid for priority boarding, so got 1st row
seats with good legroom, and avoided what seemed to be a complete
absence of any seat pitch in the rest of the aircraft! A319 seats did
not recline, and the upholstery looked cheap and nasty. The helpful,
friendly crew did not over-sell the scratchcards on this flight - and
even gave unsolicited menu recommendations based on freshness of the
food. Train connection from Schoenefeld to central Berlin fairly easy,
even in early morning hours. Given the ticket price, and the fact that
the service and product are no worse than the legacy carriers, easyjet
was excellent value for money and I would fly them again.

Palma from Stansted - took hand luggage only arrived at 06.30am went
straight to security as we had checked in on-line. Through within 5 mins
and all security points were open. Excellent flight cabin crew
pleasant. Return flight excellent. No problems at Stansted passport
control as all desks open

INV-LTN. Checkin as quick and pleasant, Inverness airport was light and
quiet, and even the additional security checks were friendly and
efficient. Nice plane, nice crew. I was surprised that legroom was no
worse than most other economy short haul, indeed it felt slightly more
spacious. Luton airport, on arrival however, was awful. Overun with
people, unfriendly staff seeming lacking in IQ, overcrowded bus to
airport only to find that all trains were cancelled. Without the train,
everyone had to wait an hour in the rain for the bus to central London.

SXF-GLA and EDI-MAD return. All sectors on new-looking A319 aircraft.
Uneventful flights and largely professional service, which varied
greatly - ultimately dependent on the individual FA. 'Common check-in'
(for all flights) in SXF is a bad idea - people jump queues and there's
always a rush for flights about to take off by people still stuck in
queues at check-in. Boarding at MAD was just that - mad. The incessant
promotion of scratchcard/lottery tickets on some sectors got a bit
tedious. Delayed departure from SXF (thanks to rain) caused a few
frayed tempers.

I have travelled twice in recent months with Easyjet from Berlin to
Mallorca. A pleasant experience. The online check-in was straightforward
and enabled one to avoid long queues (especially returning). The plane
was new and comfortable, cabin crew courteous and professional. The
flight was on time and comfortable, announcements kept to a minimum. I
will be using Easyjet again, even if it can be slightly more expensive
than Ryanair - an airline to avoid.

13 July 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
I have always found Easyjet to be reliable. Where there have been
delays and queues in my experience these have been due to factors
outside Easyjet control. I read that more A319 aircraft are to be used.
The one criticism I would have about the A319 is that although they are
new and quiet to fly in they are quite cramped and some seats do not
recline. The 737 had much more comfortable seating. For a short one
hour journey this is fine - but 3 hours to Spain can be quite
uncomfortable. Anyway, this is just a small quibble in an otherwise
excellent service.

I use easyJet a lot, Madrid - London and Madrid - Bristol. I have found
the planes clean, modern and virtually always on time. I used Speedy
Boarding on my 1st July flight from Madrid - worth the small extra,
(although with reserved seats this wouldn't be needed - I would be
prepared to reserve my seat on-line and pay a small charge if this is
what it takes - we see this all the time on comments about EasyJet review - "Why no seat reservation?"). For the first time in my experience the
flight from Madrid to Bristol was delayed on the 1st of July due to
passengers arriving late - What happened to the "If you're late we won't
wait? It involved over an hour's delay as we had missed our slot at
Madrid. All-in-all you get what you pay for - and so far I have had a
very good experience. Just one other comment - I agree about the
ultimate calamity of having no ice nor tonic for G & T.

Liverpool - Nice - Liverpool, Check-in swift at Liverpool & Nice with
staff very helpful. I was over my baggage weight by 2kg but no extra
charge (unlike Ryanair recently!). The plane was the newer Airbus which
was clean but very limited legroom. I'm still not a fan of the sit
anywhere policy because you never manage to keep your group together and
the rush for the plane is nothing short of a crush. Overall no delays,
new clean plane at a great price.
