DUS-FRA-CUN-MUC-DUS Condor Comfort Class. We took Condor, because the Comfort Class was less than half the price of Business Classes of other carriers. Flight left on time, very good and attentive service. Perfect meals with good choice of wines, aperitifs and liqueurs. Flight to FRA was with Lufthansa in their short haul business class, so the connection from MUC to DUS. Return flight from CUN, was fully booked and they upgraded also some economy class passengers to their Comfort Class, which they appreciated, too.

FRA-SEZ-FRA Economy class flying by Condor first time. Departure time is excellent! Besides that, plane was quite old, no entertainment, poor food. Beer was not for free. Service friendly.

Condor "Comfort Class" (Business) CDG-MCO 763. This was a very comfortable flight, and a experience for a low fare carrier. The flight operated on time, and service in Comfort Class was equal to the comfort and amenities of first class on one of the United States' legacy carriers, ie; Delta, United, American. Flight attendants courteous and professional, lunch service was outstanding--a five course meal, with a choice of three entrees, served on china, with real flatware and linens. Beverage service was equally fine too, with good wines and top shelf liquors as well. The seat did not recline to a lie flat or angled lie flat position, however it was perfectly comfortable for a daytime flight, with an acceptable 125cm seat pitch. Comfort Class passengers may also avail themselves of the LH lounges at FRA, and the DL Crown Room Lounge at MCO, and an inflight amenities kit is offered to keep passengers fresh during the flight. The fare, included the short hop from CDG-FRA on LH, was roughly USD $1,934.00--a mere fraction of what other airlines charge for the same route. I tried this airline because I was not able to redeem reward mileage from my Star Alliance account, but I wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again!

SSA-FRA-SSA. Friendly and attentive attendants, food ok, beverages also. Seats could have been a little more comfortable, but one must not expect too much for such a low fare. The pilot was interested in communicating worthwhile points on the surface as we were passing, to those on the window-seats. Resuming: optimal relation of costs and benefits on that connection, and a very good way to get to Germany from Brasils North-East.

Munich-Funchal-Munich. Early check in provided the day before departure in the evenings from 6pm to 9pm, check in staff spoke good English & process went smoothly. Meals inclusive in airfare and edible. Full flights. Pilot and chief purser spoke excellent English and communication with passengers was good. FAs are willing to speak English for non-German speakers. Seat width rather narrow but endurable for the 4 hour one way trip. Punctuality & efficiency are valued at this airline.

Had booked to fly from Munich to Venice roundtrip. 1 month before departure we received an email stating our flight had been cancelled and we had automatically been rebooked on Air Dolomiti to Venice and TuiFly returning. Even though the "new" return time was much earlier than originally booked - at LEAST they were kind enough to automatically rebook us on a different airline. They could have just refunded our money and made "us" rework our new arrangement. So, for that reason I think they did a great job.

Frankfurt - Malé return. Overall a fair service. No problems with security etc. as stated in the previous comment. Agree on age showing on the old planes - Condor should upgrade the interior at least. Food quite good; Attendants serving drinks intermittently, quite ok. I recommend trying to book the "comfort" class - at least a little more leg room.

We flew with Condor Frankfurt - Male return : flights were Lufthansa reward flights. The outbound flight on the 767 was only 80% full which meant we had some room to move but not much, we could not even get the tray table to go down properly due to the lack of seat pitch room. The flight attendants were good and worked hard through the flight. The food was surprisingly very nice. The inflight entertainment was showing good quality movies, but the system is the old monitors every 8-9 rows that looked like they were showing black and white, not colour. Check in at Frankfurt was well organised and quick considering the amount of pax that were flying out with their other flights. The return flight was more of a nightmare. The check in at Male was extremely slow and so was the security check at the gate. These 2 delays meant that our flight departed 1 hour late. Shame as the arriving flight was on time. The flight was full and we had seats in the middle of the plane. These seats were very cramped and their was a lack of air circulating in the centre of the cabin. The food was quite good on this flight. Unfortunately the drink service was quite slow. At one stage there was no access from the front of economy to the rear galley for over 2 hours as the crew were blocking the aisles with their trolleys while selling duty free.As we approached Frankfurt we were told about the bad storms throughout the day that had caused massive cancelations. They also told every one that they would not be unloading our luggage from the plane until the next day. Luckily enough they actually did unload the luggage. Both 767s were starting to show their age and need replacing compared to other German charter operators who use more modern equipment. There were only 7 FA's to serve 260 pax. 2 of these FA's were in business class and did not help the over worked 5 economy FA's. Every other 767 we have been in has only carried up to 240 pax, so We now know how a sardine feels. If it was not for the award flight through Lufthansa would we book and fly by them? The answer is no way.

Mauritius-Munich. Came to check in very late - only 45 minutes before scheduled take off - not a problem! I was satisfied with the flight overall. FA friendly, we were served 2 full meals + 2 snacks, drinks were served all the time. Beer and vine free of charge, as well as some cocktails. It seems that different rows have different leg space, but the plane was only about 3/4 full, so we could choose our seats.

FRA-DXB-FRA. Outbound on March 16, 2007 on a B757. Seats in Economy very cramped, and seats show the age of the aircraft. IFE: Central screens and earphones. Food: Main course ok. Beverages only 2 times on the entire 6 hr flight (ok, you could have picked up some drinks in the kitchen). 1 hr before landing, something resembling a sandwich was offered. Definitely not suitable for human consumption! Landing in Dubai was on Terminal 2 - a place worse than almost any airport I have ever been to! No facilities, not too clean, no nothing! If you are prepared to land on Dubai as one of the world's leading airports, DO NOT fly on Condor. Inbound on March 24, 2007: After enjoying the world-class facilities of Dubai's Terminal 2 (well, there is a coffee stall as the second best facility and a "restaurant" resembling a diner in Chapter 11) and realising that only flights to Iran, Iraq and some former Soviet republics are handled from this place, you understand why the duty-free shop is selling laundry detergent (no, I'm serious and I had been entirely sober that day)! Forget about shopping. Flight was ok, food was acceptable, and this time they were serving drinks three times! Summary: If you get it for a bargain and do not bother landing on a third-world airport, go for it. If you require some kind of service and comfort, choose another airline. Looking back to about 10 years ago, Condor service has become rock bottom. On any flight longer than 2 h: Never ever again, at least not in Economy.

FRA-RSW-FRA in Economy class. We were allowed to check in at the Business Class Check-In but we had to wait 20 minutes. Outbound flight was delayed by almost 2 hours due to aircraft problems. Crew was ok and foot was eatable. The seats and the IFE was horrible. They only served drinks twice on this 10 hour flight. We landed with a delay of about 90 minutes. Inbound flight was exactly on time but the staff at the airport was very unfriendly. This time the crew was unfriendly and the food wasn´t very good. We landed on time as well. Next time I will avoid flying with them in Economy class.

After a few flights in Economy, which is a joke on Condor, I flew Comfort Class for the 2nd time. Condor Comfort Class is good value for money. It is far away from a full fare airlines Business Class, but you only pay a fraction of a regular business fare on CC. The seats are quite comfortable, but mechanically operated - I was seated on 1C, so nobody in front of me which gave unrestricted legroom. Crew from FRA to Santo Domingo was superb. Very attentive and friendly, they did a great job. On the leg from Santo Dom. to San Jose, crew was ok, but not up to the level of the transatlantic leg. Food was good, you get Lufthansa Business Catering in Comfort Class, with nice choices. Starter, three main courses to chose from and dessert/cheese. IFE is the same letdown as it is in Economy. DVD Players are offered in Comfort Class but with mediocre movie selection, otherwise, you can "enjoy" the Eco - IFE on the tiny cabin screens. All in all, Comfort Class is good value for money but don't expect a full fare business class. Just don't fly economy, that is just a joke.

Frankfurt am Main to Barbados. The flight departed Frankfurt almost an hour late without any apologies or reasons. The onboard meals were too little, drinks served only twice for the delayed 9 hour flight. The inflight entertainment consisted of small, centrally mounted communal video screens, defective, uncomfortable headsets (for purchase at a cost of 3 euros) and the legroom was not generous by any means for such a long flight. Wines, spirits and snacks were available only for purchase. The flight attendants were polite. I would think twice before booking another Condor flight to Barbados.

HAM-SJO and return. Feeder flight from HAM to FRA and FRA - HAM, operated by Lufthansa, were short and uneventful. FRA - SJO with short stop in Havana was ok, but thats it. 767-300 on both flights were in good shape with newish seats, but pretty cramped. Food was ok, not more and not less. 2 meals on the leg to Havana and a sandwich on the 2 hour flight to San Jose. Water and soft drinks were during the flights at the rear galley at all time available. During meal service was one round of drinks before the meal and one round after. Big letdown by IFE. Two movies shown on small screens every few row and movie selection was really bad, better bring your own entertainment. Condor is simply the easiest way getting from mid - Europe to Costa Rica and you will get there safe and on time, but thats it.

LAS - FRA - LAS Have flown Condor 3 times on this route and will do so again this summer. Service is good and crew is professional. Planes are clean and some what modern (I've only ever been on the 767-300's.) The only draw back is the seat pitch which seams even smaller then Lufthansa's coach (if that is possible.) On 2 of my trips I've opted to upgrade to Comfort Class on my return flight because the thought of sitting in coach almost ruined my vacation (I'm 6'2" and 250lbs, so this is as much my fault as the airlines.) My assistant flies Condor and has no issues with coach (she is 5'2" and 96 lbs.) Price is usually dead on competitive and you get from Las Vegas to Frankfurt without a connection (makes the trip about 4 hours shorter.) I recommend Condor.

Brussels - Munich return. Airbus 320 with one class service, choice of German newspapers and magazines, a cheese sandwich and choice of hot/cold drinks - the flight is only 75 mins. The "air flight map" with distance, temperature, etc is shown on small drop-down screens. There is a separate check-in at both airports: Munich's is shared with GermanWings in Terminal 2. I got a fantastic bargain fare of E50.00 return, taxes included - but NOT from the Condor website, where the same flights would have cost E148.00. And I got the Lufthansa "Miles and More" airmiles, too! Flight times are convenient.

Flew on Condor many times and found the service to be good but the food not excellent and not up the standard when they were Thomas Cook. The crew were friendly and overall I give the airline a 7/10.

MUC-BKK-MUC in March 2005 and FRA-CUN-FRA in September 2005, with a CONDOR 767-300ER for 99€ onewa. They offer cheap tickets, that's right, but the inflight service is very poor. They offered 2 meals each way, but the breakfast always is more a snack than a meal, and it's cold! the taste of the meals is bad - it´s very little, they give you to eat. Alcoholic drinks are free during the whole flight, but you have to help yourself at the galleys during non-meal times. The legroom is the same as at a low cost carrier like easyjet, but with CONDOR, we flew 10 to 11 hours! The cabin crew is more interested in socializing with each other, than to care about their guests. if you push the flight attendant button, the crew reminds you not to do so, because if you want something, you have to come to the galley. Snacks, headsets and alcoholic beverages are sold during the flight, but you can bring your own headset and the first cocktail is for free. The aircraft aren't the newest, so don't worry if your music programme or the TV monitors don't work. if they work - it's adequate service. Surprisingly at the end of a flight they give you a hot refreshment towel! I recommend CONDOR for it's cheap tickets, but don't expect service!

FRA-Barbados-FRA. It was my second time with this airline and a rather pleasant experience. First of all, the airline provides very low fares for very early bookers or last minute (I booked 3 days before - 498 euro incl.tax). The paper ticket was waiting for me at the airport (no e- ticket) and check-in was very fast. You even collect Miles and More miles. The service on board was very similar to the last time: friendly, a bit Lufthansa-old-style, food was quite tasty (not too much) and drinks were coming around rather often. As for most charter airlines you have to pay for alcoholic drinks and your headphones. The entertainment programme was not up-to-date, but 1 movie per flight was okay. On the return flight (via Porlamar) the crew had to handle a check-in mistake (11 people too much were on board) and found 11 people very quickly for re-booking on a different flight and get their luggage out of the plane (within 60 min). So I would fly Condor again if they keep their good fares.

Munich-Hurghadareturn. Outbound on 767-300 with decent seat pitch, friendly flight attendants, a good lunch. Cabin seemed to be newly refurbished. Several rounds of drinks. No individual TV, but no problem for me as I don´t have a problem with the overhead TVs or tend to read my own books or newspapers anyway. On the return flight there was a technical problem with the 767 on a previous flight, so Condor informed all travel agents in the mornings about the change of aircraft and a delay of two hours. Unfortunately this information wasn´t passed on to us passengers, we were fetched from the hotel in the afternoons as if there was no delay. Not even the airport staff bothered to inform us, even if the boarding passes already showed the new boarding and departure times. So most of the passengers realised the delay just at the time when boarding should have started. Security checks were a bad joke, all in all airport staff at Hurghada couldn´t have cared less about passengers and their duties. The captain on board our 757-300 was very apologetic about the delay and especially the circumstances that no-one had been informed. Cabin crew again very friendly, good dinner. Cannot say much about the seat pitch because was lucky to be seated in exit row 40. All in all it was a nice experience and I would definately choose Condor again.

Frankfurt-Main to Varadero return in Y class. Both flights were operated by 767-300ER. Seating was 2-3-2. I was suprised that I can stretch my legs, so for me this was the most comfortable long-haul flight in two years. I heard many complains about seat pitch on board Condor , maybe row 25 is an exception. Seat pitch was comfortable but I can´t talk about any sleep in Condor´s (or any other) economy class. In- flight entertaiment is old and it consist of TV monitors every 5-6 rows. There are two cameras on-board and all pasangers were able to watch take-off and landing. Except this, two mediocre movies, air show, and very bad and old comedy on the way back. There are 13 music channels but of course only 7 or 8 work. Low quality headset costs 3 euros + you can buy snacks such as Twix or Pringles. Both crews were efficient, crew on the way back was more relaxed and smiling. Condor provided two small meals, on the outbound leg it was chicken or pasta and later ratatouille. On the inbound leg there was chicken or beef and breakfast (ham, cheese, fruits and so on). One plus is that both crews made numerous drink rounds. The whole experience was better than average , and I will give them 7 points out of 10.

Tobago to Frankfurt and return Nov 04. Condor is operating the only direct service between Trinidad and Tobago and Germany. Boarding and check in of the Handling Agent in Tobago was fast and efficient. Tobago Airport not offers real shops and Duty Free Area, but this is not fault of Condor. After one hour soft drinks were served and shortly after the meal selection. Pork or Chicken. Cabin staff was organized and quite friendly. Only lack of English language we realized on board. Condor is focused on german tourist and the cabin staff had even problems to explain the meal choice in english and left us with the description "Schnitzel". Seating was more narrow than other airlines. Overall the service and the flight was OK and compare to the national Carrier BWIA far better. Condor should improve the food quality and I was a bit disappointed not even to get a wine or beer complimentary.

3 March 2005

Cologne-Munich-Malaga-Munich-Cologne by Condor on February 28th for 58 € including all taxes and fees (special offer). Aircrafts (Boeing 757-300 and A 320) were very clean and the crews were friendly and ready for a small talk. They offered drinks on CGN-MUC-CGN and we were offered a full breakfast (MUC-AGP) and a dinner (AGP-MUC) during the flight. They seem to have changed their service concept again as they served sandwiches on this route a short time ago. So I was very impressed by the new service standard on Condor flights.

Frankfurt-Antalya-Frankfurt flight on newly re-branded German operator CONDOR. The airline, formerly known as Thomas Cook, re-launched their Condor brand and introduced a Low Cost fare structure. Both flights were unspectacular, but the service dropped significantly to previous flights. There is no more a meal service available on flights under 4hrs - you will get instead a cold sandwich. All in all, the service is for low-cost tickets superb, but not for passengers paying the full ticket-price! I hope Condor will return not only to their old name, but also to their old service standards!
