YVR to BKK return with a stopover in TPE. The cabins were nice we had the TVs with touch
screens, comfy seats, decent food and cabin crew were great. My only complaint would be that
our return flight from TPE to YVR didn't have the TVs and it's a long flight to have no
entertainment.

SYD-TPE-SYD. Check in at SYD was brisk, but Qantas ground staff was rude. My special meals
were loaded on both flights and served with my choice of beverage. Crew pleasant on both
flights and did water runs throughout the flight. AVOD worked well on both flights, but the
selection was a little small - only 20 movies and 36 short programs.

AMS-BKK-AMS. Flying - on 31st December for new years day in Thailand. I arrived from ABZ to
get 1445 to BKK - arriving at the correct gate to find the flight had been cancelled due to
technical difficulties. I had been in the airport from 9.30 that morning and nobody thought to
tell us. We were given a food voucher and told to meet at the transfer desk at 1600. Arriving
at the transfer desk there was no representative from China Airlines and the KLM ground staff
were given the job of re routing people. After about 2 hours wait I was given a flight the
next day at 12pm to BKK via KUL with a 7 hour wait in KUL. Great - I had an my New Year in the
Hague in a hotel which bar shut at 11pm. I have still not received a letter of apology. Return
flight poor as usual with the old 747.

TPE-HKG for a round trip. Everything is fine, except for the service attitude of attendants,
inflight or on the ground - no smiley faces creates a rather serious atmosphere. Food okay,
service efficiency okay, inflight announcement clear and friendly, inflight entertainment
acceptable.

SFO-TPE. Economy class seats are smaller than other airlines on international routes. I know
TPE-LAX route has new planes with personal tvs. Not sure about other routes but SFO-TPE did
not have personal TVs in economy which was a huge disappointment.

Sydney to Bangkok via Taipei return. All flights fantastic food was better this time than last
September and the FA's were good - very good service. Both types of seats in business class
good. But the ground service in Sydney left a lot of room for improvement - staff were once
again surly and very rude barking at passengers. Qantas lounge staff need to be more focused
- they called us to go to the gate for boarding and when we arrived were told that they were
not boarding for another 20 mins. Met by China Airlines staff at Taipei and taken to the
lounge to wait for our next flight.

Manila to Taipei. Crew attitude excellent. Food in this short flight is great, staff language
skill is good.

AMS-BKK Dynasty Class. Old 747, seats and pitch ok but not comfortable. AVOD working ok but
screen small and not clear. Excellent service by cabin crew. Food was ok but nothing special.
BKK-AMS Dynasty Class a newer 747 with more comfortable seats. Food very good on this flight
and cabin crew better than on the outbound flight. I had a good experience with CI but the old
747's need some refurbishment. Dynasty lounge at BKK was a little difficult to find. Good
value for money.
