AMS-BKK Dynasty Class. Old 747, seats and pitch ok but not comfortable. AVOD working ok but
screen small and not clear. Excellent service by cabin crew. Food was ok but nothing special.
BKK-AMS Dynasty Class a newer 747 with more comfortable seats. Food very good on this flight
and cabin crew better than on the outbound flight. I had a good experience with CI but the old
747's need some refurbishment. Dynasty lounge at BKK was a little difficult to find. Good
value for money.

Amsterdam to Bangkok return, and would not recommend them. The China Airlines website says
their planes have personal seat-back screens. This is not bthe case - both of our flights had
2 tv screens at the front and middle of the plane with an awful picture on both (not good if
you're row 16), they played month old news, an awful 1990's b movie on video, and to add
insult to injury they played an advertisement for China Airlines boasting that all of their
flights have personal seat-back screens! Not very good if you've got an 11 hour flight ahead
of you. The staff were quite rude - one member spilt a glass of water on my partner and never
apologised or offered any towels. Food was okay. On a plus side, the seats were comfortable.

NYC-CNX. Flight was comfortable and staff very friendly and attentative. Inflight
entertainment was relatively enjoyable. I would've given a higher scoring but I did not care
for the food and the screens were screens were fuzzy.

SYD-CNX retur) Via TPE. On time arrival and departure, cabin staff very efficient and
helpful, good meals and AVOD has some really good movies. Would recommend and fly with China
Airlines again.

Brisbane-Taipei (Return). China Airlines is a very reliable airline - I've flown this route 3
times already and they have been very consistent. Flights on time, service great, food & IFE
good. The cabin crew are always present and happy to serve you. Check-in staff at TPE are
great - offered me aisle of the front row in economy - so very comfortable. The flight from
TPE-BNE was faultless.

Amsterdam to Denpasar (via Taipei) in Dynasty Class. On flight to Taipei from Amsterdam we
were on newer 747 which has better seats and slightly more space then the older type they use
on this route. AVOD on newer planes much better then on older type. Service very good as well
as food etc. Certainly good value for money. Only minor point is stop in Bangkok where it is
compulsory to leave the plane. It is long walk to Business Lounge which has not enough seats
for all Dynasty and 1st Class passengers.

SIN-TPE. My first flight with China Airlines. Plane an A330-300. I feel they need to improve
on branding and design, the colors combination seems dull. The cabin staff of China Airlines
are friendly, better than most Asian airlines. The inflight entertainment is good. Airfare is
cheap for 4 hours flight between Singapore and Taipei.

Brisbane to Vienna with China Airlines was a quite decent journey. Check in and boarding good
and all legs were trouble free. Good selection of entertainment, good service from the
stewards. It was very good value for money.

Whilst I have had many good experiences on China Airlines, the service has gone down hill
over the last 2-3 years. I flew AMS to BKK Dynasty class in September and this service offered
reasonable value for money and a good inflight service. The return journey was another story.
In my opinion some of the flight attendants appeared to be poorly trained for a business class
cabin. Food was less than average and it was almost impossible to get any alcohol or wine with
dinner. I asked for a second glass of wine and was left feeling like I had two heads. Fellow
travelers had their crockery removed before they had a chance to have coffee. I appreciate
they want to expedite the supper service as quickly as possible so passengers can rest but it
is described as a business class service and not a fast food service. After all its a 12 hour
flight. The entertainment system was not functioning correctly. A real bummer when your meal
has been rushed beforehand. Cabin was old and the armrests were filled with dust and crumbs.
Not very hygienic. These planes really need to be upgraded. Check-in was excellent as was the
reception in the Dynasty Class lounge. China Airlines has always been my first choice of
carrier due to service, connections times and value for money, but my experience on one or two
ocasions is making me wonder should I now look elsewhere when flying to Asia.

HKG-TPE. I was pleasantly surprised that they served a meal on a 90-minute flight, but the
quality was mediocre. Other than that, the seats were comfortable and IFE was ok. The only
part that is irredeemable is the fact that Taoyuan is still an hour away from Taipei. Nothing
to do about that, I guess.

Vancouver to Taiwan to Bali and return. Easy check in, good service, good food. Older plane
on first leg but okay. Great movie selections. For 19 hours in the air on the two flights
each way, no complaints, it was a good experience.
