While travel on the airline for short flights is good, with friendly staff, new planes, and low cost
travel. Trying to BOOK tickets is a nightmare. If not in the Philippines and trying to book using
there website, it is a nightmare, easy enough to find flights you want at good prices, but the
website only intermittently accepts credit card payments from non-Philippine banks. Trying to call
their call centre is also a nightmare with long cues, regular disconnections when finally getting
through, poor attitude of staff towards keeping the customer happy and providng decent service, and
then when explaining that their website doesn't take payment, they refuse to give the website rates
and charge significantly more for a ticket - as an example an additional HK$122 compare to website
for a flight from Hong Kong to Cebu - reason given by call center for the price difference - it is
our call center booking fee sir. Like I said while the planes are new, and for short flights it is
comfortable with friendly staff, trying to make a booking is a nightmare.

I'm a bit disappointed (but not really surprised) to see so many problems using Online Booking on
Cebu Pacific. I never use my Foreign Credit Cards Online with Cebu Pacific (or any other airline in
the Philippines) - you simply have too much hassle and I don't trust the Security in any case. I
book through my travel agent and pay cash. The small additional cost is far outweighed by the
security and eliminating some of the problems listed on other posts. Alternatively you can pay at
one of CP's offices. Obviously this is not convenient for everyone, but it works for me. I've
recently used Philippine Airlines on a trip where I normally use CP - same aircraft, couple of
inches more legroom, twice the price, twice the number of Cabin Crew, plane less than half full and
one leg was 3 hours late on a 3 hour flight in the middle of the day from MNL... nightmare. And what
did I get for the extra money? - 5 hours in the delightful surroundings of NAIA-2, a free meal which
I didn't eat, a drink and a movie which I'd seen before... thanks, but I'll be sticking with Cebu
Pacific and given the expansion of their route network and the fact that they seem to be filling
their planes, so are many other people too.

I had a similar experience to J Chua. I booked a ticket and had to cancel it later. According to the
term and conditions, the ticket was refundable. I contacted Cebu Pacific to cancel the ticket and
ask for a refund. After nearly a year, I haven't received any refund. So if Cebu pacific doesn't
want to refund ticket, they should not put in the term and condition that the ticket is refundable.

Cebu Pacific flight is a nightmare! Flights are delayed and we are not just talking about 1-2 hours,
My flight was delayed for almost 4 hours from Cebu to Singapore and worst of it, my flight back from
Singapore to Cebu was delayed for 13 hours! There was an announcement that my 1220am flight will be
delayed to 220am. While waiting in the lounge they announced that the flight will be delayed due to
some maintenance and it will be at 430am. At about 330am, I was shocked when I saw in the
announcement board that our flight was moved to 1030am with no announcement whatsoever. This is
really not acceptable, and all the passengers were just sitting in the lounge waiting and waiting
and at 1030am still no announcement. Finally we boarded the plane at 1pm. The service is so poor.

I agree with J Shep. This is really scamming the people of their money. I am supposed to get a
refund from Cebu Pacific and I have waited for 7 months now and there's still no news of the refund.
I called their call center and was directed to the accounting office. I called their accounting
office several times but no answer. I called back their call center every so often but still, no
refund in sight. It's really a nightmare.

Tried booking online but there online booking system doesnt work for any overseas credit/debit card.
I then called them in Manila (from the uk) and was told they cannot process foreign cards via the
phone either. The only way to complete the booking was to pay at a cebu pacific office in Asia with
cash. Luckily enough I have friends in Hong Kong that were able to help but obviously no way to run
a business!! On the plus side I have flown a few times with them and despite always being about 45
minutes late on every occasion they are decent enough, the fleet is new and the cabin crew friendly
and above all they are at least half the price of most Asian carriers.

Booking online is a nightmare with this airline. I have travelled a number of times with Cebu
Pacific and every time I book online there is some problem with my credit card. today when I tried
to book it said my card was declined then rang the card company who said there was no decline. Now
the price has gone up. This happened to me before where you only find out you are not booked on the
flight after "your card has been declined" on the day of your flight then have to rebook at a much
higher price. I think this is a way of scamming the tourists who have no other way of booking than
online. I would like to report this to an organisation that can deal with this as it is fraudulent
activity and I know a number of people have been affected by this.

Cebu Pacific is a budget airline, sort of like the Ryanair of Asia, or at least, that's what it
would like to be. However, their online booking system is a nightmare. It constantly times out and
requires one to re-enter information. It is not well set up for entering addresses not in the
Philippines and claims there is a problem with the address even if there is one. The booking
process will take about two hours. But what is worse is their problem with accepting foreign credit
cards. I entered one card, but was immediately told it was declined though there was no reason it
should be. Then I entered another card, which was accepted. The next day, however, the day before
my flight, I received a message that my card had not been accepted after all and that my reservation
would be canceled. I immediately called the airline and they said I could go to the airport and pay
if I arrived five hours before the flight. This was inconvenient, but I did it and paid with
another card. Later, when I received my bank statements, I found out that both cards had been
charged. I have written three times to complain and have received no response. So my trip cost twice
what it should have and wasted hours of my time. So much for the budget airline!

I have flown with this airline a couple of times between Bangkok and Cebu. If you book your fare on
the internet and fly as intended, then you get what you pay for - a "no frills" airline. If for any
reason you need to change your booking and have to deal with Cebu Pacific's on the ground
administration then it very quickly becomes a "no service" airline. I needed to reschedule a flight
in Cebu. I expected to pay the extra fees but I didn't expect the following, even though there was
never a problem with seat availability. I went to the office in SM Mall which has a dedicated
counter for international sales but the young lady was unable to help me because I had used a credit
card???. She told me that either the "hot line" or their office in Robinson Mall could help me. When
I asked her to call the hot line for me, she reluctantly agreed. I quickly understood her reluctance
- no answer. I tried calling the hot line for the next two days with the same result. I wasn't even
put on a queue. I eventually went to the office in Robinson mall. They didn't have a separate
counter for international sales so I took my number and sat down. It was then that I realized that
there were 200 numbers in front of me. (yes 200!) At this point I gave up, returned to SM mall and
refused to leave until the matter had been dealt with. After about half an hour of phone calls and
collecting data she was finally able to give me the ticket I needed. Also as a separate matter, Like
Eril Moreno, I've been waiting for a refund for a flight that was canceled when they stopped flying
direct between Bangkok and Cebu. I will never fly with this airline again.

I've used Cebu Pacific on 6 round trip flights this year from Manila to various locations in SE
Asia. Overall excellent punctuality apart from 2 legs which were up to 1.5 hours late, but they had
some of the quickest turn-round times I've seen. I'd hesitate to use them if you have a tight
onwards connection with a different airline. They frequently use overnight slots which is not
convenient for everyone (and late-in-the-day flights are usually those most prone to delays). The
new set up in NAIA-3 is much improved with quick, efficient check-in and no boarding problems. They
have ticket desks at the terminal where you can book or change reservations. From getting off the
plane to getting to the taxi was 20 mins including luggage. I really don't understand the comments
about being charged for food and drinks on board. CP are a LCC, and operate a pricing structure well
below that of their full service airline competitors (at least on the routes I've flown). I'm more
than happy to pay PHP 200 for a drink and a snack (or bring your own on board) and save PHP 5,000 -
10,000 compared to flying Philippine Airlines, Thai or Sing. Don't use CP if you want flexibility in
your travel, or a plastic trayful of plastic food, or a movie, or a Business Lounge, or frequent
flyer points, or want to travel on a day flight rather in the middle of the night, or have a bunch
of check-in baggage which you don't really want to pay for. But if you know when you want to travel
and you want to get reliably from A to B at the best price on a modern aircraft, with a professional
crew, then Cebu Pacific is a good choice.

CEB-SIN-CEB. Only budget airline available with direct flights from Cebu to Singapore. Seats not
very comfy. No free food, and food offered for sale expensive. All flights I've been on have
departed and arrived on time. My problem with Cebu Pacific is its customer service off-plane. I've
been waiting for eight months for a refund for a flight that I had to cancel in February 2008 and
spent not a few dollars on calls to their hotline, which is a "deadline" in most cases. I also wish
they have a competing budget airline serving the Cebu-Sin direct route. Their prices are getting
steeper by the month, and the promos have lots of hidden charges.

Shanghai-Manila, then Cebu-Hong. Check in at Shanghai was well handled by Shanghai Airlines,
although the terminal was dead by the time the aircraft arrived. No shops were open, and we were
the only passengers in the airport. The plane was probably 80% full. I was expecting the cabin
crew to turn off the lights, and let everyone sleep, but they did a slow drinks (BOB) service, then
duty free, then other stuff, before dimming the lights for an hour or so - before they turned them
on again before arriving into MNL. I was expecting MNL to be a nightmare, but as there was only 1
other arrival from SIN, I was through immigration and on the curbside with my bags in around 20
minutes. The return from Cebu wasn't as efficient. Cebu airport was old, and departures was
confusing. It wasn't clear which desks were checking in for which flights, and the queues were
long, and everyone was stressed. Once airside, there was nothing there, just an expensive cafe that
didn't accept credit cards. Not long after I arrived in the departure lounge, they announced an
hours delay, meaning we'd be arriving into HKG at 1am, not good. The flight eventually left at
11pm, (1h40m late). In short, time keeping isn't great, but the A319 are nice aircraft (leg room is
a bit lacking), but the staff are nice, and the fares are low.

Cebu Pacific is a no frills airline. You get what you pay for. I have taken this airline in a number
of their international routes and used it extensively for business travel a few years ago.
From its old DC9s, the upgrade of their fleet to the A320 family has improved inflight comfort to
levels which are at par, if not better than the other LCCs. What I like about it the most is the
fact that you get assigned seats, which is not the case for most LCCs. Cabin is clean. I cannot say
the same to the toilets though. So if you are in a budget and do not mind being considered like
cattle, this airline can be your best shot

Manila to Naga. I'm glad to use the New NAIA Terminal 3. Boarding is a bit chaotic. Check-in are not
really friendly. I was too early for this flight and I manage to roam around the Terminal 3. What I
noticed is that Cebu Pacific flights using A320 and A319 don't use the airbridge. Boarding is smooth
and we were bussed to the aircraft. FA's nice, seat comfort is fine since this is just a 45 minute
plane ride.

MNL-HKG return. The service on board was fairly consistent with other LCC airlines we have flown
with. The only gripe was that our departure form MNL was delayed for more than one hour with no
apology or reason. A320 we flew had a modern, clean interior. Flight attendants were friendly and
helpful. One cabin feature that stood out for me, was that the seats are non reclinable - I found
this to be a blessing in disguise. My wife and I have had problems with selfish pax pushing back
their seats with no consideration for the pax seated behind them.

On August 2 we were scheduled to fly out of Taipei to Manila. Initially, our flight was 2 hours
late. No reason was given. The airport liaison stated that this was typical of Cebu. Then we
called our hotel in Manila to informed them we would be late and their response was, "Oh, Cebu. That
always happens." After spending a couple days in the Philippines, we went to the US via a different
airline, planning to stop off at the Philippines on our return to Taipei. I happened to check my
email and found a notice from Cebu that our flight back was cancelled and unilaterally rebooked to
the next day! No recompense was offered for the gross inconvenience. Merely a lukewarm apology and
an assurance that we would not be charged a cancellation fee! Can you believe that?
Never fly this airline. You will regret it. No stars.

PPS-MNL return. Cheap promo fares (PHP 998) each way, but still not a good deal. The move to
Terminal 3 in Manila happened on 1 Aug and everything seems to be in chaos. Our outward flight from
Puerto Princess was 1hr30 late, with no information given about the delay until 30mins after the
scheduled departure time but this was nothing compared to the return from Terminal3. Literally
hundreds of passengers milling about with very little information being given, and when you see the
Flight Crew and Attendants also wandering from here to there clearly trying to figure out where
their aircraft is, the scale of the disorganisation is obvious. Our departure was eventually 2hr30
late with no announcement about the delay at any time. We were lucky, some flights were over 6hr
late and at least one was cancelled. On arrival at PPS, the FA making the arrival announcement did
not know where we had landed. Having arrived with a considerable delay, some passengers were over
eager to leave the aircraft, and stood up before the Seat Belt sign was turned off. One of the FA's
then announced that the doors would not be opened until everyone sat down and refastened their
belts, and waited for the Seat Belt light to be turned off. Correct procedure of course, but a
little untactful in the circumstances. This was not our first trip with Cebu Pacific, but together
with the increased excess baggage charge - now 100pesos/kilo (on this route) compared to PAL at
46pesos/kilo will make me very wary of using Cebu Pacific next time.

Manila-Boracay return. Very good on time departure both ways. Manila Domestic easy to use and
access. Eventual payment went from about 1,700 pesos for 2 returns to over 9,000 due to fees and
charges. Won the show and win game! Seats Ok for short trip. Beware the 10 kg checked baggage limit,
no problem when you live in Manila but international transfers were caught for an extra 1,500 pesos.

HKG-MNL a few weeks ago. Cheap and cheerful is my opinion of this LCC. Check-in at Hong Kong was
completed in under five minutes. A320 (3x3 seating) the emergency exit is row 12. Not sure, but the
seat pitch is about 29". FA's all young but seem to be aware of their responsibilities.
Entertainment consists of about 15 minutes of parlour games provided by a member who fancies that
they can sing. All good fun, though. Buy onboard snacks on offer. A beer will set you back by PHP100
(USD2.20). Chips, cake or a sandwich are PHP50. Over the last 10 years I have used CP about 25 times
and their time-keeping record, on this sector, is excellent. Fares, for the most part, are about 50%
less than the competition from the rivals.

MNL-Zamboanga, MNL-HKG. Despite previous complaints of difficulty booking online, I actually found
it easy and comfortable. This is quite a comfortable airline for a budget airline, probably one of
the better budgets in Asia. The only thing missing is the extra service, PTV, and meal of the full-
service airline. For the cheap price I paid, I have no complaints. The only minus was the Domestic
Terminal and the Terminal 1 for international flights, which gives rival Philippine Airlines the
advantage. Also, sometimes their fares are similar or even more expensive than PAL. The airport
advantage can be remedied when the mothballed NAIA Terminal 3 opens reportedly this July for
domestic flights.

CEB-BCD-CEB. Checkin for both flights was uneventful although quicker on the return leg at the new
BCD airport because we arrived earlier. Both flights operated by the same ATR-500 aircraft, which
is unsurprising because this low cost carrier has only two of this type of plane at present. Each
flight had about 49 of the 72 seats occupied. The two stewards or hostesses spent the entire flight
strapped into a jumpseat - no items offered for sale due to the short flight duration, which was
quite scenic over the mountains. Each flight was less than 10 minutes late, although outbound the
similarly timed PAL Express flight left and arrived four minutes before my flight. Based on my
limited experience with this carrier, it is better than Australia's (or Asia's) JetStar with Cebu
Pacific not deserving the bad domestic press it appears to constantly receive.

BKK-MNL-BKK. Outbound flight initially posted as delayed then eventually cancelled. Agent in BKK
said a spare plane would take us at 9am. It didn't arrive. No firm time or date could be given for
travel so we rebooked on Thai as we had meetings in Manila that day. Check in on return at Manila
was shambolic and despite arriving at airport 3 hours early and having only 7 people ahead of us, we
waited an hour. Flight was OK if cramped. I have emailed CebuPacific 3 times and received no reply.
Inevitably they wont see my money again.

MFM-MNL and MNL-CAN. Cebu Pacific has an excellent web site and easy to book online. Clean and
comfortable planes. Both flights filled to capacity yet comfortable, with good space for hand
baggage. Would normally have travelled overland from Macau to Guangzhou but Cebu Pacific was very
inexpensive and allowed me to visit Manila for a day. Excellent value for money!

5 April 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
Beware of the promo fares of Cebu Pacific Airline. In most cases there are hidden charges in their
promos. I was a victim of their last promo fare of PhP1.00+travel tax and fuel surcharges. I bought
t return tickets for Manila-Davao-Manila route thinking of availing for the supposedly PhP1.00 promo
in their office in Davao City Airport. To my surprised, instead of the usual PhP50.00 service fee
(even this is unimaginable, an airline company asking for service fee?-- only travel agencies should
do that), the airline increased the service fee by 100% per travel - which means that in truth I
paid PhP101.00+travel tax and fuel surcharges. Rubbing salt to the injury, I was not given a receipt
of the service fee transactions, which is against the law of the Philippines. I still have to spend
again for the taxi going back to ask for explanations and the receipt. This is not the only bad time
I had with the airline company. To cite another example, I had an occasion to have my tickets
rebooked while I was in Indonesia and asked my travel agent in Philippines to do the rebooking which
she did with addition charges of course. But upon checkin, I was told by the Cebu Pacific personnel
(also a travel agent) that “they don’t honor any rebooking from the Philippines and that I have to
buy new tickets in Indonesia which costs thrice of my original ticket. That made me pays four times
for my one-way trip (Jakarta-Manila). I tried having the original ticket reimbursed when I arrived
in the country but I was told that it is a non-refundable ticket.

MNL-BKK-MNL. Outbound flight 1 hour late on departure, but made up 20 minutes en route with a better
gate allocation in BKK than Thai or PAL often get. Return flight on time and 0530hrs is the only
good time of the day to arrive in Manila - no queues. As a Budget carrier they are tight on excess
baggage, don't expect to haggle more than your 20kg allowance, but the price at PHP 300/kg was fair
I thought. The space was fine for somebody of average height. Cabin service was short and sweet
which is exactly what you want on a night flight. Snacks and drinks were on sale on board at
reasonable prices. No IFE. For around PHP 5000 lower than the next cheapest airline on the route
I'll be flying Cebu Pacific again - great service, they deserve to do well and I'm sure they will.

Travelled last Dec 2007 via Cebu Pacific and will never fly this airline again! Plane leaving
Manila encountered an electrical problem and passengers were only informed after about an hour of
waiting inside the plane. They transferred us to another plane and we were able to leave the airport
after about 3 hours after the expected departure. The flight going back to Manila was 4 hours
delayed and no announcements or explanations - plus we were transferred some three times from one
gate to another that were at opposite ends of the huge HK International Airport. My daughter also
had a problem with her January 2008 flight to Bangkok, she was only able to fly the day after her
expected departure. Do not be tempted by their promotional fares as the cost of their delayed
flights far exceed the travel savings.

CGK-MNL sectors - new aircraft and very efficient service. My complain is the departure from CGK
which is very late at 00.30 and the seat pitch is not generous. However, it is worth with the money
you spend for the tickets.

MNL-SIN, SIN-MNL. Well, the aircraft is fine, I almost didn't noticed that I am traveling in a
budget aircraft and the travel on the way to Singapore is almost on time but going back to Manila
was too delayed, almost half an hour! The problem I see is that the time of their flight, I really
think that it is a pain in ass to arrive in your destination almost midnight and to leave there
almost the same time also, I mean with all the success this airline is having they could have add
another flight or two to accommodate the people of the mass. In that way at least we can have our
choice of time. But generally, I would fly again with this airline since it appeals to me more than
the Flag carrier of the Philippines itself! I just hope if they cannot add a flight in Singapore
maybe they could consider changing the time, that way they could at least address some inconvenience
on the part of the customer, they deserve that!
