SYD-HKG-CDG-HKG-SYD. I secured return tickets to Paris for just over $A1300 earlier this
year. Our experience on all flights was of a top grade airline that provided excellent
service. Online check-in and seat selection great and I had no problem securing the seats I
wanted despite discovering that all flights were quite full. I like the seating - not having
the seatback in front of your reclining into your space is great! AVOD entertainment didn't
miss a beat on all legs, and selection was excellent. All meals tasty with 2 or 3 choices for
main courses and ample portions. It's interesting that you get more food on the 9 hour leg
between SYD & HKG (2 full sized meals) than the longer 14 hour leg between HKG and CDG (meal
and continental breakfast). Service provided by cabin crew did CX proud

LHR-HKG-LHR and onto Phuket. We had lots of legroom and seats comfortable. The shell design
is a fantastic development, no more heads in lap when your trying to eat - it can be a bit
uncomfortable when the seat slides, but if you put the pillow at your lower back it was fine
and managed to sleep for 6 hours on way back. Service good and meals of high standard.
Plenty of snacks/drinks available between service.

JFK-HKG-KUL roundtrip. Obtained a bassinet for the baby which made the trip comfortable for
him as he was lying down most times. Some FA knew how to set up the bassinet, others had
difficulty. I did not like the straps across the bassinet near the head position as my boy
would sit up and get caught. We looped it around and some FA were not used to this. Did have
one unpleasant episode when one of the FA did not think he should provide fresh milk for the
baby and told me to bring my own to the plane instead. The other FA seems more understanding.
Rest of food and IE okay for long flight.

LAX to HKG on 777 aircraft in business class. I could not fault Cathay's approach to this
long-haul flight. They know how to treat you in a warm manner. The seat is extra comfy and no
problems with width at all around shoulder height nor when in sleeping position - not sure why
there is a concern with claustrophobia from other passengers. On occasions my toes would clip
passengers or staff when they passed by, never noticed this when I was asleep. Decent food,
the best array of movies and a leader in travel.

LHR-HKG-BNE-CNS, SYD-HKG-LHR. All flights on A340/A330, more or less on time and full. Food
and drink on a par with other far east airlines. IFE very good - my wife and I like the new
style seats, the space you have is retained, no one throwing seats back as soon as the plane
has left the ground.

Me, my wife and our new born son flew LHR-HKG-BKK. Excellent treatment by CX staff onboard and
ground. We check in online and got seats that we chose, but we couldnt get the bassinet seat
as this was blocked - but airport check in staff changed this for us. Thanks CX for helping
our first trip with our newborn baby!

The 777-300ER is not a first rate product. Seat is comfortable, bed is too firm, the food is
good even though they ran out within the first few hours of 16 hr JFK-HKG. Service spaced and
fully unaware of expectations. No comparison to Cathay B747-400 First which is a wonderful
experience. Don't be misled in thinking the 777-300ER First will be similar. It is a
terrible comparison, and the 777 is a terrible value-an awful experience in comparison. I
would recommend flying the 747-400 First Europe to Asia, but Singapore Airlines First between
the US and Asia.

SFO-SIN return via Hong Kong. The seat is really bad sliding in front and you can't lean back.
For doing that it makes your legroom space became very tight. The food is not good. Flight
attendants unfriendly - I found just one FA on HK-SIN who was really nice - she was really
professional and smiling.

We flew to Melbourne via Hong Kong with 2 small boys on Cathay Pacific. We experienced the
same indifferent and unhelpful attitude notably cabin crew and ground staff in Hong Kong.
Their attitude suggested passengers were a nuisance and should consider themselves fortunate
for being able to fly Cathy Pacific. One wouldn’t expect this from a low cost airline and
certainly not a full service airline. 2 of the 4 flights delayed. After an hour delay whilst
on board, was given tap water with very strong chlorine taste. Asked for bottled water for the
kids, were told not available even for small children. Was given baby jar food for 4 and 8
month old which my 17 month old would not eat. Asked if they could give me an adult meal, was
told none left and given an apple instead - it was a 12 hour flight! Asked for a blanket for
my son, was told "I check but cannot guarantee!" Another long haul flight, ground staff
reallocated our seats that we have booked on the internet because we requested a basinet. My 5
year old was allocated a seat 8 rows away from my husband, and 4 rows from me. When asked to
rectify, staff told us without any apology to get it done at the airport or ask the passengers
to change when we are in the cabin! Unfortunately we had to apply for Australian visa on the
spot. Initailly opted to use our own computer instead of paying a whacking USD 50 per pax,
staff told us they were not obliged to help. We were only asking where we could go for
internet access! We panic and ended paying the USD200 for a service offered free by other
airlines. How can they justify charging such a high fee and holding passengers at ransom! How
can the service and attitude be so consistently bad? It has left a scar and a bad taste in my
mouth. How can Cathay Pacific ever be rated a 5 star?

YVR-HKG-TPE. B777-300ER Vancouver to Honk Kong. The new economy seat has its pros and cons.
You have your own space to use the entertainment system and a meal since it doesn't recline.
However, I am not a fan of the new sliding seat. It's just awkward while not being able to
lean back. The seat cushion is very thin. The entertainment system wasn't working during the
first three hours of the trip, but enjoyed entertainment once it's fixed. It has plenty of
movies and TV shows. The service and meal were decent. Flight attendants friendly. A330-300
Hong Kong to Taipeit seems to be a little old and tired inside. The trip was less than two
hours, and comes with a breakfast. Again, flight attendants were polite.

MEL-HKG-Toronto return in Business Class. On-time, efficient, good luggage handling and lounge
availability. Lie flat seats comfortable and private. Good for sleep on long-haul flights.
Food and wines excellent, service friendly and efficient. Can not fault this airline!

LHR-HKG-MNL and return - all but MNL-HKG had the new seats, and have to agree they are hard
and feel cheap. Only good thing about the trip was IFE.

AKL-HKG and HKG-SYD with new Business class product. I did not find the seats narrow, to look
out of the window you need to twist a bit. A cheery welcome onboard both flights, great
chinese food. Can't comment on the wines as I didn't try them, but the inflight snack was
substantial and delicious. Crew chatty and happy throughout.

HKG-NRT Economy Class. I travelled A330 long-haul product with AVOD. Seats are nice and with
suitable legroom. The movie selection was superb. The food was just normal but was served quick.
