Caribbean Sun Airlines- by Peter Rosner

22 January 2007

We were left hanging for a good 6 hours at the San Juan Airport with several lame duck excuses for the late flight to Saint Maarten. Eventually, we were given soda and chips (one each) and told that we would be off, soon. Another 2 hours passed before we boarded a flight (now with a St. Thomas stop) and we took off. This is when we found out that we had exhausted our "refreshments" for the duration of the trip as these were the one's to tide us over in San Juan! Not a good idea for unsuspecting diabetics as you need fluids for your medications. No apology and hardly a word from the crew!

Caribbean Sun Airlines- by Jonathan Smith

SJU to SXM. This is a small, busy and efficient airline with flights buzzing between the Caribbean islands all day using clean, bright Dash 8 aircraft. We were the only two passengers on this flight at 9.00 am as it is off season in St.Maarten. The FA was extremely nice to us and even gave us a personal arrival message in SXM using our first names, a nice touch. I believe that this airline is owned by a billionaire businessman who wants to bring easier and better travel to the Caribbean region, well done to him, its a fine service.
