I agree with Merv's review. We were on the same Canjet flight to Antigua which was supposed
to leave Toronto at 0645 hrs and did not leave until 2230 that night. Staff were not helpful,
there was no communication and some of the staff were downright rude. We switched gates 4
times before departure, and the staff would just walk away and not say anything and it would
be up to us find out where the departure gate was. When we finally left 16 hours later all we
got on the flight was a glass of soda. This was the flight from hell and I will never book
another package with Canjet as a carrier, nor would I recommend anyone else doing so. I would
add one more important point to Merv's review: the Canjet flight was delayed for mechanical
difficulties; we were told by Canjet reps that the replacement part had to be flown into
Toronto from Edmonton - but why it took sixteen hours to effect this repair was never
explained. When the plane was finally repaired to Canjet's satisfaction, the pilot came out
and announced to passengers that he refused to fly it (because it was unsafe)! That resulted
in another 4 hours delay. On the way home from Antigua there was another mechanical delay. I
have serious concerns about the level of safety and unreliability of this airline. Avoid at all costs!

Recently a large group of us went to Mexico. The trip there and back (6hr) with Canjet (Air
Transat Holiday) was awful! 2hr+ delay on the way down and 3.5hr delay on the way back. Had to
sleep on the floor of the airport in Mexico the on flight service was poor and some staff were
not very pleasant or polite. The food was brutal and could not eat the bread it was a rock and
this appeared to be the general consensus around us. We only got 2 drinks each way and had to
get an attendant for the second. The 2hr movie in a 6hr flight which I would say from the
early 90’s. My advice would be avoided at all cost. I can assure you we a group of 23 will
never use either parties again.

We had a vacation package with Nolitours to Puerto Vallarta over the Christmas season. We
arrived at the airport in Kelowna at 6:30 am for a 9:30 am flight and proceeded with check-in
and security. To be fair, our weather that morning was not ideal but there were planes coming
in and out (mostly Westjet). Things started to go down hill as we neared flight time as they
announced that our plane was still in Calgary! This announcement was updated every hour and
it finally arrived at 3:00 pm! We started to get ready to board and were informed that there
was a mechanical problem with the plane and it would take about 30 minutes to fix. The 30
minutes became 2 hours and we finally took off just after 6:00 pm! The flight itself was fine
and the crew were very apologetic. The official explanation provided was that Transport
Canada mandates the amount of ceiling that is required for take off and landing. I can
certainly understand that but there were other planes coming and going at the time. You just
have to vizualize all these passengers sitting behind security for close to 12 hours, many
with smaller children that you have to keep occupied. In summation, I would never fly Canjet
by choice but with their new 5 year partnership with Transat, I suspect that there are going
to be many complaints from passengers who book with tour companies and have no choice but to
use Canjet.

Dec 20 flight to Antigua - 15+ hour delay, no true explanations, numerous gate changes, poor
communication, little offers of compensation ($10.00 food voucher - in Toronto!) and generally
poor customer service. Deplorable way to treat passengers and then they turned around and
gave it to us again on the return flight a week later! Six hour delay that trip. This was a
birthday present to me so disappointing to arrive a day later after being up over 27 hours -
what a nightmare of an airline!

A dreadful experience on December 20. We were told many times that our flight would be
delayed, although there were no weather problems. The numerous notifications of delay resulted
in a total of 14 hours waiting at the airport to board our flight to Antigua. We were lied to
multiple times during the delay when there was a CanJet representative present. During this
process we were herded around to four different gates throughout the 14 hour period. The
return flight was also delayed by over 6 hours and our Transat (a partner of CanJet)
representative at our resort failed to tell us before we left for the airport. We traveled
down with a plane full of understandably upset people whom I expect will also be writing
reviews and demanding compensation from CanJet. I will never book another vacation using this airline again.

Do not be swayed by the cheap fares - it is not worth the stress of your life. Left Toronto to
Antigua on Dec 20th, after a 15hr delay, with no explanations. When I got to Antigua, they had
lost my luggage, and after three days, didnt even know where it was. On top of that, if I
dont go into the Canjet office everyday, they do nothing to locate my luggage. They only begin
looking for it when I walk into the office each day. I really hope you will join me in
boycotting this airline. It is not worth your time or money to go through this stress.

Toronto to Cancun our plane departed late, was unable to provide a hot beverage because the
hot water maker wasn't working, and the back washrooms were not available, leaving just the
front one in use. As a result, lineups beyond half the length of the aircraft was the norm
through most of the flight, even when the "fasten seatbelt" light was put on due to mild
turbulance. Additionally the movie monitor in front of me would go down, up down etc. It did
this for about 10 minutes and then finally tucked itself away for the rest of the flight. I
could watch another monitor at about double the distance. Good for eye strain! The return
flight was delayed for unknown reasons and then when we were supposedly able to depart, we
couldn't as we would then arrive into Toronto when a curfew is in effect. So we sat around the
Cancun airport until 2am and then departed. And the hot water maker was still not functional.

Travelled on Canjet to Mexico, after a great vacation got to the airport in Cancun. We were boarded
on the plane and sat there for 1/2 hour to 45 mins before they had us get off the plane and wait
because they 'over fuelled the plane'. This process took over 3 hours. Further, there was nothing
stating that we would not be on a direct flight and that there flight actually needed to touch down
in Texas to refuel some more. Overall, we were supposed to land in Vancouver around 11pm or just
after and instead we did not arrive until 4am Sunday. Overall, this whole event drained us and made
us question if we would ever fly with Canjet Airlines again.

I flew with Canjet this March break and it will be the last time. When we arrived at the airport at
3h00 AM, we were told that there was a delay of an hour for our flight (7h45 instead of 6h45). This
was okay with everybody on the plane. While we are waiting, they keep adding hours of delay,
something about missing a part for the ventilation system of the plane. The plane has landed the
night before and they didn't think of looking into the problem before!!! The people at the gate do
not know what is going on, and make up stories to tell the clients! After waiting all day,
supposedly the plane is repaired but we do not leave anyway since there is a snow storm. We are
told to come back tomorrow at 0400am and the plane will leave at 0550am. I end up staying at the
airport since there is a 4 hours waiting line for the taxis. Everybody is waiting the next morning
when finally someone from Canjet shows up at 06h=15am. We ended leaving at 1130am. I do understand
that some things were out of their control but the missing part was in their control. They did not
treat us professionally by making up stories and not showing up when they asked us to show up!

YUL (Montreal Trudeau) to YDF (Deer Lake Newfoundland). Found the staff
to be very friendly from start to finish, although I was a bit
disappointed by the lack of entertainment, especially during a half-hour
long stop in Halifax, during which people en route to Deer Lake were not
allowed to leave the plane. I also find CanJet's fares to be higher
than Air Canada and WestJet for most routes.

My son and I flew from Ottawa to St. Johns, Nfdl and back with a layover
in Halifax. I had never flown CanJet, but chose it because the fares
were half what Air Canada and westJet charged. we found the service to
be excellent from checkin to leaving and I would fly with them again and
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CanJet to others. Sure you don't get
the free beverages or snacks, but you can bring your own. The stewards
and staff were very friendly and helpful, the planes clean. our return
flight into Halifax was delayed due to fog, yet they held the connector
for 1/2 hr. Would the others do that?

Have flown on CanJet several times. To or from YYT (St. John's). CanJet
has always been the cheapest option when I've been ready to buy my
ticket. Seats are a bit cramped, but the middle seat has always been
empty, so no bother. I usually don't buy snacks on airlines, trains,
etc., I know there's a hefty markup. Although the few times I've been
hungry/thirsty enough I didn't find the prices unusually steep. One
advantage CanJet tends to have, at least in St. John's, is the short
check-in lineup. It's always nice to go to the CanJet counter and look
over at the AirCanada line with 100+ passengers winding through the
maze. On my last trip with them I was scheduled to go out on a morning
flight, but got to the airport too late to board, they happily shifted
me to the next flight, window seat and all with no extra charge. This
was quite a happy surprise. I'm pleased with the way they do business.

Toronto - New York LaGuardia. Flight check-in was good, however, agents
neglected to tell passengers that the flight was delayed 1 hour. This
eventually turned into a 2 hour delay with no real explanation. Seats on
the B737 were all leather and quite comfortable for a short trip. Leg
room was minimal and the aircraft interior was dull and boring. Canjet's
logo and colour scheme closely match Costco's. Service was fine but
nothing outstanding. Drinks for sale are way overpriced and are very low
in quality. I think the white wine ($5.00) was actually jet fuel.
Overall, nothing special and fare was not that cheap. Would rather stick
to Air Canada or Westjet which have a superior product.

In response to James Niblock's comments about seatbelt "attachments" for
your daughter. In Canada, airlines must follow Transport Canada
regulations - as such children under age two are to be lap held, facing
their parent for take off and landing. If you have an infant restraint
device and it is approved again under Canadian Aviation Regulation's
then it will attach to the seat with the standard seat belt. In the UK
and abroad the rules vary from country to country, what is allowed in
the UK may not be allowed in Canada. The FA did what she should have
done and Canjet did provide the safest situation possible for your
daughter. And no, I don't work for Canjet but am a Flight Attendant at
another airline.

I fly regularly on CanJet, mostly from YYZ-YYC. I find them to be the
best priced low-cost carrier in Canada.. I would continue to fly CanJet
in the future. No better, no worse than any other airline. Lets
remember, this is a discount market. Shop around but CanJet is usually
better priced and offer just what you pay for, a safe, and inexpensive
form of air-travel.

We flew from the Toronto Halifax route on their 737-500 plane. I did not fit into the seat.
They also did not supply infant seat belt attachments. Seat belts work. Other airlines (British
Airways) we have flown on have provided seat belt attachments for our baby daughter. The cabin
attendant had no idea that these belts were being used on other airlines.
I will not fly on Canjet again. I do not fit into their seat and for not providing for the safety
of my 16 month old daughter.

Toronto to Vancouver on August 27th and will be returning via Canjet as
well. I found the seats very cramped and uncomfortable, with virtually
no legroom. When I tried to recline my seat it went back no more than
an inch. The people behind me were disappointed with the lack of
windows for the window seats. Food was overpriced as well, with a
bottle of water at $2.00. I will avoid flying Canjet in the future, and
prefer instead to stick to WestJet or Air Canada.

Toronto - St John's: flown this route sever time on Canjet. I have never arrived in
St John's early, though I got into Toronto 20 minutes early, but the luggage took 30
mins to arrive. The inflight menu is slightly expensive, at $2 for a bottle of water.
The staff are very helpful, and present themselves in a very professional manner. On
Canjet's older aircraft (737-200), they pack you in like sardines in a can. There is
no leg room, and it is just generally cramped. I have flown on their newer 500 series
aircraft and I was slightly more impressed. The leather seats are definately
more comfortable, however not as "comfortably spaced" as they would like you to
think. Disappointing that they do not offer the TV service on more flights. Not in
the same league as Westjet, however, their prices are usually lower.

Halifax to Toronto, we experienced one CanJet Airline delay after
another. The lack of effective communication and lack of information
offered/provided to the passengers regarding revised departure times and
baggage delays has proven to my family that there is no value in going
with an economy airline.

LGA-YYZ July 6, return July 9. Pushed the gate in New York 10 or 15
minutes late even though every one was boarded and seated on time. No
comments from the crew during the delay or afterwards. I called the
reservation center the day before the return to see if the LGA flight
check-in was at the same counter as the domestic flights. One
reservation agent did not know and one said yes. The correct answer was
no; had to take my bags down to the area in YYZ where US flights are
checked-in. Except for asking $2 for a bottle of water the inflight
service was OK. The seat pitch was *terrible*, it was hard to sit
through the one hour flight. Don't know how a four hour flight would be
on CanJet but I would not want to find out. They are not in the same
league as West Jet.

Flying from Orlando to Halifax, Nova Scotia I was very pleased with the service and efficiency of
the airline. Canjet staff was very professional, friendly and very helpful. The fleet of the airline
seemed very modern, since its a newest low fare airline for Canada. Only disappoint thing abou the
airline was that you have to pay for the portable Audio/Video-On-Demand in-flight entertainment
system, but its well worth it with over 60 movies in the library.

Our extended family are regular users of Canjet on the YOW-YHZ route,
and are very happy with them. Friendly staff, simple but comfortable
seats and amenities, on-time service - and a helpful attitude. My wife
flew solo with our baby in August (high season) and the staff could not
have been more helpful with the stroller, entertaining the baby, and so
on.
