LPQ-BKK. Check-in was swift and friendly at the otherwise depressing LPQ Airport, knowledge and
English of check-in staff amazing for Laos standards. Complimentary use of lounge with internet,
snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. Flight date was changed free of charge online 72 hours prior to
departure - very impressive considering the great fare value. ATR 72 was clean and comfortable
despite being knocked around easily by any turbulence. I can't fault PG - they are going from
strength to strength, looking forward to them extending their route network further.

This year for the 6th time I have flown with this airline. And it's is absolutely magnificent. The
combination of the ticket price, staff (on ground as well as in the cabin) and the excellent service
provided by this regional airline is fantastic. And, on board the cabin is very clean and well
maintained. These days they do not only fly within the Thailand area but also to Hong Kong, Maleives
and Japan for a very reasonable price. So it is worth checking out when in Bangkok and wanting to
fly further. On all airports I have been when flying with them there was a very good lounge on
airport, with free internet, drinks, papers, etc. Then on board, again they serve tasty food and
drinks.

Bangkok to Seam Reap then down to Phuket via Bangkok. Initially was a bit concerned at the check in
because we had to pay additional for our baggage allowance, ie we were treated as domestic
passengers, which is not practical when you are international travellers you are automatically
overweight. I did argue this point and the Customers Service manager met me half way, which was a
small achievement, although other airlines, in similar situations, I have previously travelled with
allowed the additional weight for international passengers. Bangkok Airways seems to be the furthest
airline in the Suvarnabhumi terminal, so be prepared for a long hike to board your flight, at the
time two flights seem to be boarding at the same time there seem to be some confusion between
passengers on my bus from the terminal who were not going to Cambodia but southern Thailand.
Onboard the flight was pleasant, cabin crew were friendly and helpful and food was OK. My only
concern was space onboard was tight in the overhead lockers. On the flight to Seam Reap we had
separate seats, for some reason although only one seat in front of each other. The way back from
Cambodia to Phuket via Bangkok, we did not have to pay additional baggage allowance as we were
treated as international and not domestic passenger. The change over at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi
airport again involved a great deal of walking, there were eight of us who were flying this route
whilst the majority of passengers were departing at Bangkok. The customer service person was making
these quick announcements to us that only two of the people up front could make out, as we struggled
to keep up with her, we found that some of the Bangkok departing passengers had tagged onto our
group wrongly. On the way back from Phuket to Bangkok again we had no problems with the baggage
allowance despite this being a domestic flight. I would fly Bangkok Air again, but would be careful
of the baggage allowance, especially the Bangkok - Seam Reap, Cambodia route which is obviously an
international flight as these are two separate countries. I did like the ease of booking this flight
on-line.

An excellent airline - not the cheapest of options but the best. The lounge at Bangkok is excellent.
Flew to Samui and then back to Pattaya. Only downside to later flights - it was the morning after
the full moon and quite a few revellers onboard, some of whom were not fit to fly and should have
been denied boarding.

BKK-USM-SIN. Love Bangkok Airways and try to fly them whenever we can. Last minute flight to Koh
Samui so didn't have much time to enjoy the lounge experience in Bangkok. Left and arrived on time.
Made sure we were at the airport early for our flight to Singapore so we could relax and enjoy the
lounge facilities. New A319 plane which was very smart. Hardly anyone on the plane so plenty of
space. The flight attendants are pleasant and hard-working. Can't wait to fly Bangkok Airways
again.

BKK-USM-BKK on their new A319 in business class. Check-in efficient for both flights - flights on
time. Blue Ribbon lounge at BKK excellent (not bad at USM). Aircraft immaculate with very
comfortable seats in 2-2 configuration. Business class passengers transferred separately on arrival
and escorted to baggage reclaim. Only negative was inflight catering - very stodgy and curry in
both directions. Drinks available onboard and in lounges limited to soft drinks and beer - not what
it says on their website and really not good enough for business class.

Phuket to Bangkok. Check in good, ground staff efficient and my usual emergency exit window seat,
the small lounge seemed to be even more overcrowded since it is the end of the long holiday. Good
snack in lounge with Thai local delicacy. Aircraft is one of the two remaining 717 of the airlines
(they are phasing out to give way to A319 fleet after expansion of Samui airport). Obviously PG do
not care to maintain this aircraft anymore. Seat worn and some armrest broken. Food changed from
delicious curry rice into the tasteless salad with two strip of chicken and two slice of ham. Talk
to fellow passengers who is also a frequent flyers, and found that this menu is served in all route
all flight. No more ice cream. Disappointing indeed. But their people are good as always, both in
the air and on the ground.

Phuket to Bangkok. Read so many good reviews decided to try Bangkok Airways instead of Thai. A
little disappointed. Check in fine. Lounge at Phuket airport was a crowded small room, we decided
not to use it. Found Phuket Airport rather grotty! FA's efficient but brusque and rather
unsmiling. Seat pitch OK. Plane looked relatively new but my husbands armrest was broken. Food a
little interesting. Quite expensive overall, but flight departed and arrived on time. A long way
from terminal at Bangkok.

Return Bangkok to Saigon economy. Very pleasant and friendly, polite ground and flight staff -
especially in Saigon. Seemed like a new Airbus on each leg. Great food from Vietnam to Bangkok. Will
certainly fly them again.

BKK-Samui travelling with 5 family members on a a full Airbus A319. Proceeded up the aisle towards
my seat and saw that it was already occupied. I asked the man sitting there if he was in the
correct seat. He produced his boarding card and it was the same seat as mine. I queried this with
the cabin crew who seemed as confused as we were. By this time everyone was seated with the doors
waiting to close, and not a spare seat on the aircraft. There was no way I was getting off as my
family were already seated. Eventually, the head purser arrived and asked for both boarding cards.
She then looked over to the man sitting in my seat and advised him that he was on the wrong plane!
His boarding card was for a flight to Krabi. So they were whisked off in a car and hopefully caught
their flight. Bangkok Airways are usually very good with security and passenger processing but
obviously slipped up on this occasion, much to the amusement of the passengers on our aircraft.

Bangkok to Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang to Siem Reap (using Bangkok Airways sister airline Siem Reap
Airways) and Siem Reap to Bangkok. Friendly and helpful cabin crews, simple and tasty inflight
meals, interesting inflight magazines. Good departure and arrival timings, thoughtful ground staff,
lovely airport lounge at Bangkok and Luang Prabang. The only thing that is not so good thing is the
leased aircraft they use on Siem Reap to Bangkok route - it is old and noisy.

Bangkok- Phuket and Phuket - Bangkok in A320. First time flying with this airline and can find no
faults. If you are use to travelling economy then all the little extra's really make a difference.
Great lounge at BKK airport - free food and internet usage, same in Phuket but much smaller lounge.
Flight was 1 hour 15 on way there and 1 hour on the way back. Both legs a meal was served and light
entertainment was shown. I think that this is a lovely airline. We had a connecting flight with EVA
Air and our luggage was able to be checked in to our final destination. There is an option to
complete immigration in Phuket (you will have to pay an additional leaving tax as now all
international air fare has this built into the ticket). We did not do this and were caught with very
long delays in passport control (apparently very common and can be an up to an hours wait). If you
had cleared immigration in Phuket then you could have missed all of this. We had a connecting flight
and had allowed ourselves 2 hours and this was just enough. When you land in BKK you have to out of
domestic and check back into international and this is at least a 15 min walk.

What a difference a year makes. Last year we used Bangkok Airways three times and felt they fully
deserved their Boutique status. This year we travelling on a flight from BKK to Chaing Mai. We
then received a mail from Bangkok Airways that they had cancelled our flight due to schedule
changes. We were nevertheless informed that we had been protected onto a Thai Airways flight. On
checking in with Thai Airways we were told that Bangkok Airways had cancelled our flight three days
earlier for some unknown reason. Bangkok Airways told us that the only solution was to buy one
business class seat, at our expense, because Thai only had one ecomomy seat left. Due to our short
schedule we had no other choice, but to take this option. On the way back from Chaing Mai we were
asked to leave the Bangkok Airways lounge, because we only had a Thai Airway tickets. Although we
tried to explain our situation they still asked us to leave. Whilst travelling to Phuket with
Bangkok Airways our seat was broken, so one of us had to fly in the reclined position. On our
flight from Phuket to koh Samui another passenger had the same problem with a broken seat. Although
this airline is currently upgrading its fleet it still has a responsibility to all its passengers.
Sorry I won't be flying with them again.

Koh Samui - Bangkok Economy class. As we were connecting to Paris we had the option to complete
immigration process there instead of queuing in Bangkok. This gave us more time in duty free area
while waiting to board again. Friendly staff, clean cabin, weird food.

REP-BKK in economy. An midweek a.m. flight, actually flown not by their A320 but by rented Swiss-
registered Hello MD82 plane - departed 45 mins late due to late arrival. Check-in okay , boarding no
hassle, crew friendly but effective. Managed to serve a lunch on this short route. Nice inflight
magazine. This company runs flat rate fares policy so it is quite easy to book them on short notice.
Baggage in BKK arrived in 30 mins, so enough time to clear immigrations. Fine experience.

4 March 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
I have used this airline numerous times over the past 5 years between BKK and Samui and have always
received good service. However, on this occasion, I am due to arrive from LHR into BKK at 1530, so
I will miss the flight at 1615, and the next one is not until 2000. Since I booked the flights, they
have changed their schedule for this flight 4 times. Whilst I was initially mildly irritated at
having to wait 4.5 hours for a connecting flight, having just flown 11 hours from London, the fact
that they have now changed the aircraft to an ATR72, adding another 30 minutes to the flight, was
the final straw. I have now changed my flights to the following morning, meaning an unplanned night
in BKK and one less night in Samui. It would seem common sense that if you have between 15 and 20
flights to this island every day, and a complete monopoly on the route, you would expect more
regular departure times. Thai are now operating twice daily and charging exactly the same price, so
it's no longer a monopoly, it's a cartel! £130 for a 40 minute flight! No wonder you don't see
many Thai's onboard - they're all on the train!

Good airline - rather new A320, with colorful decoration. Very nice crew, food served on 1 hour

11 February 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
I have been flying with Bangkok Airlines since they started. Used mostly the Bangkok to Koh Samui
flights. Always on time and great meal service for such a short flight. FA always very polite and
attentive. On 23 Jan flew with them from Bangkok to Siem Reap but it appeared they were using a
leased MD11 from Hello Airways (never heard of them!) It was a swiss registration and the captain
also was probably Swiss. There was delay due to an aircraft tyre being flat and so therefore it had
to be replaced. We were given seats over the wing and once seated we could hear an awful loud
thumping sound coming fromsomewhere below. The captain at one point came out of the cockpit to talk
to the flight attendants at the back of the aircraft and then returned back to the cockpit.A few
passengers by this time were getting a bit agitated about where the noise was coming from. Once we
were airborne the noise stopped. Either that or we couldnt hear it. 25 Jan returned to BKK on same
aircraft and same captain. Taxiing down the runway the aircraft did a sudden brake that had some
passengers screaming. There was no explanation until we where in the air and the captain apologized
and said that they performed a brake test. I was quite honestly glad to get off this aircraft. We
were met a BKK Airport by Bangkok Airways staff who escorted connecting passengers to their onward
flights. We were flying onto Koh Samui and this time we boarded one of their brightly painted
aircraft and had a very enjoyable flight to the island. Our return flight on 06 Feb was a breeze.
In fact, we arrived early for our scheduled flight and we were asked if we would like to take the
flight that was just getting ready to board. That was very considerate of them. Koh Samui airport is
now being expanded. It is still as charming as ever even though it is getting bigger.Thai Airways
have been giving permission to fly to Samui this year so it is no longer a Bangkok Airways little
gem of an airport.

LPQ/BKK ATR72-500. Very efficient check-in at LPQ, most surprised that I could check our hold
luggage through to Krabi even though my connecting flight was with Thai BKK/KBV. We had thought we
would have to collect at BKK and recheck in with Thai but all we had to do was collect our boarding
passes in BKK and stay in transit. Bangkok Air lounge at LPQ was full and stuffy (air con not
working) so we gave it a miss. Boarded and took off on time and on this aircraft our wheely luggage
fitted in the lockers. Flight time 1hr50 and a really good lunch served - cold salmon with crudites
wrapped in omlette, sticky rice and dessert. The wine flowed - decent French country chardonnay and
pinot noir with FA's walking up and down the aisle with refills. My wife thought it was the best
meal she had of the seven legs on our trip (including F on LHR/BKK). Smooth fight, good safety
briefing and flight deck announcements and landed at BKK on time. If this is their normal style no
wonder the airline gets the accolades and awards. A good experience and we will chose to fly with
them again.

Flew Bangkok Airways many times in past years, attentive and extremely civilized staff both ground
and air. Cabin/lavs always impeccable, full cabin service - refresh towels, bar, meal, duty free,
even on short hauls. Departure "lounge" area in some airports, seat pitch horrible but comparable to
any LCC. I give them 5 stars only because they are so good and pleasant at what they do. I strongly
recommend Bangkok Airways.

Siem Reap - BKK and BKK - Phuket. Swiss registered Edelweiss Air plane but the inflight staff was
from Bangkok Airways. The plane seemed new, legroom was good, and staff excellent. Definitely cannot
complain. In BKK the ground staff herded us to our next gate a bit like a flock of sheep. I'm not
sure why they do this, as everything is clearly marked and we do not qualify as "unaccompanied
minors". BKK - Phuket was a rather aging Boeing 717. The flight was fine. The staff as usual
attentive and professional, the pilot welcoming and informative and everything went perfectly
smooth. I would most recommend BK Airways as a reliable budget airline in the southeast Asian
region!

I made 3 trips during November with this airline Bangkok to Samui, Samui to Phuket and Phuket to
Bangkok. Most impressed with the service. On each leg we were served with a meal even on the Samui
to Phuket flight which is only 35 minutes. The lounges at all the airports offer free drinks and
snacks and free internet. A most efficient and friendly airline. They deserve a 5 star rating.
