Luang Prabang to BKK Flight was cancelled and we received impressive service from the airline rep
at LP. Transport and overnight accommodation efficiently organised. Many of the people on our
cancelled flight, like us, had connecting flights from Bangkok which were missed. The rep listened
attentively and calmly to each person (and some were quite agitated) to discover the problems caused
by the cancelled flight. By the next morning, he had rearranged flights as necessary for each of
us. At Bangkok ground staff met people with a short connection time and took them to check-in
desks. Baggage had already been checked right through. Friendly helpful service at all times,
minimising the disruption caused by the cancellation. On board service during the flight was also
friendly and attentive, with a surprisingly large "snack" for a mid morning flight. Would
definitely fly Bangkok Airways again

Samui-BKK. Both ground staff (Bangkok Airways owns Samui airport) and FAs friendly and helpful. Snack
served for a 65 minute flight, a nice touch. It was a sandwich, a little sweet cake and an ice-cream.
A choice of coffee or tea was offered. PG also enjoys monopoly in the route so no other options. For
the price they charge, I cant fault their service.

BKK-Koh Samui-BKK. Colorful plane. Very good food - I was surprised at the quantity for such a short
flight! Smiling nice stewardesses. I was surprised at the efficiency of such a small carrier - would
definitely fly with them again, any time. And the price - unbelievably low

BKK-TRAT (for Koh Chang). Plenty of free food and beverage at both BKK lounge and Trat airport (which
is less than a small airport right in the middle of nowhere!) and great box lunch-dinner and breakfast
onboard. Friendly and supportive staff. Pretty new aircraft. Good maintenance level. Skilled pilots.
Always more than in time. Definitely a 5 stars airline!

BKK-HKT. The lounge in BKK really started our trip off on the right foot. A nice touch when the prices
are comparable with Thai Airways. I flew Business to BKK with Emirates from BHX and the bus class
lounge in BHX isn't as good!! Great service, great food, great airline.

Really friendly staff on the ground and in the air. Good supply of food and drink despite only a
short flight. Pre departure drinks and snacks free despite being a relatively cheap ticket. Plane
appeared very new and smart design on the side. Couldn't have asked for more.

I've flown between Bangkok and Phnom Penh on this airline, and have found overall it to be an
excellent one. I've always been especially impressed with the cabin crew and the unusual lounges the
airlines offers to all its passengers, even though the prices are lower than even economy fares on
other carriers on the same route.

Hong Kong/Koh Samui/Bangkok. Watch out when booking on line. I was
instructed to check in very early to collect a paper ticket at HKG, when
I actually reported 3 hours early I was told this was unnecessary as an
e ticket had been issued. The flight on a Boeing 717 was impressive. A
Cheerful crew served a hot meal (with a choice) and seemed to be in the
cabin the whole flight with drinks, towels and smiles. Legroom was a bit
tight, the operation is sleek and efficient. The airport at Koh Samui is
outdoor and fits in with the holiday atmosphere. All Bangkok Air
passengers use a gate room that has refreshments free of charge, and
baggage service (partly because of the tiny airport) is excellent.
Flight from Samui to Bangkok equally good. Snack and drinks served, and
flights on time.

Were in transit in Bangkok to Siem Reap for a few hours. Excellent
international lounge with comfortable seats, drinks, snacks and internet
access provided which made the wait painless. The domestic lounge in
Bangkok was equally good and directly opposite the gate. Again in Koh
Samui, drinks and snacks were available but the only one computer was
broken. Punctuality and service on flights are excellent. Pricey but
worthy airline in SE Asia.

12 July 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
Boutique Airline alright! HKT-USM & USM-BKK on an ATR & 717. Although
HKT airport is small, and filled with Thai Airways wide-bodies (and
passengers), Bangkok Airways have their own Boutique Lounge. This one is
smaller than others, but still excellent complimentary catering, seating
comfort and other facilities such a welcome break from the main airport
departure lounge! On board (with heavy cloud all around) one nervous
passenger given a wonderful reassuring talk from the male cabin
attendant - surprisingly snack boxes & drinks were served! USM-BKK B717
- new airport terminal though yet not quite finished will look gorgeous!
Huge departure lounge for a small airport, all of it in modern/trendy
soft furnishings! - free snack bar and free internet stations all over
the place! Beautiful garden beds up to the side of the runway. B717
flight to BKK as before, comfortable, on time.

Connected with another passenger through BKK headed for Samui. This
other passenger had checked her luggage through, but lost her luggage
tag, I had only checked in to BKK, expecting to have to clear customs.
We were met at a specific Bangkok Airlines counter. They took care of
our luggage woes, rerouted mine directly to Samui, and restored the
missing luggage tag. The lounge at BKK (Suvarnaphumi) is spacious and
well appointed, with warm food and computers. Amazing for economy seats
on a short haul flight which are not that dear anyway. Smiles all around
seem to be Bangkok Airlines' hallmark, including on the flight (B717)
which was timely and uneventful. Hats off to this smaller airline for
extending a premium service at regular prices in a world where
commercial aviation seems to be getting ever closer to freight or cattle
haulage.

BKK-LPQ on ATR72. I arrived at Bangkok on an overnight flight from
Delhi and was able to change my booking and check in early with no fuss
and nothing but smiles. Very comfortable International lounge at

service, I even managed a nap. It has been a joy to fly with Bangkok
Airways every time.

9 May 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
BKK to Luang Prabang, Laos (LPQ) on an ATR-72. Check-in was quick and
efficient for this international flight. As is often the case at BKK,
you get bussed out to the plane after a seemingly endless wait at the
boarding gate. The plane is small, but it's only a 2 hour flight. The
plane, though obviously not new, was clean on the inside. I can't say
the meal was outstanding, but they do serve drinks rather often. The
flight attendants were on top of things with service and handing out the
immigration documents. The in-flight magazine is informative regarding
the "boutique" destinations that the airline serves. I had a good deal
for my ticket, which I bought a month in advance, but otherwise it's a
bit expensive considering the other airlines in the region. Not the
cheapest way into Laos, but it's comfortable and reliable and there are
few other options.

Flight on the 13/04/07 from Bangkok to Siem Reap. Returning on the 16th. Booked via internet. 2
weeks before traveling had email to inform me flight time had changed and the flight time would be
shorter. Seems they had borrowed a BAE 146 from "Druk Air". Not up to the usual Bangkok Airways
standard. The Cabin was quite shabby and cramped. About 8 business class seat and then rest
economy. The first row of economy seats had to have a table attached which were kept in the
overhead locker. The stewards then had to slot it in place which pinned you into the seat like a
baby's highchair. Flight attendants, as always helpful and kind and it was obviously they weren't
too happy with the plane either. I was really surprised at Bangkok Airways using this type of plane.
Only reason I can think of was to get more passengers on one of their most popular routes. I have
flown with Bangkok Airways many times and would fly with them again I just hope they stick to using
their own fleet in the future.

BKK-SGN. I recently travelled on the first Bangkok Airways flight to
Saigon (HCMC) from Bangkok and have never had such a smooth and
enjoyable flight. Despite being only just over an hour we were served
drinks and a meal, and the service could not have been better. Given the
cheap tickets and impeccable service I will fly with them whenever
possible!

My wife and I have just returned home to Australia and one of our
great memories will be our flights with Bangkok Airways. We only travelled from Bangkok to Phuket and
back but everything was fantastic. The check in at Phuket where we were really
looked after. The Bangkok Airways lounge with all the comforts of home. Many
thanks to ground staff and airline staff. 10 out of 10. Now can someone help -
the tune played on takeoff and landing - I should have asked at the time but
would love to know the name so I so I can see if I can buy it somewhere?

Bangkok - Samui, Samui - Bankgok. Very good all round. Checked in at
BKK and offered seats on an earlier flight. Meant that we didn't have
any waiting around which was good. Didn't get to try the lounge, but
noted it was right by the departure gate. Ideal. Both flights on
Boeing 717 aircraft. Early morning departures and breakfast offered on
both fights with juice and coffee. Excellent for only 40 minute
flights. On return, luggage checked in all the way to LHR as our
connecting flight was with EVA Air. Paid Thai departure tax at Samui so
didn't have to pay in Bangkok. On arrival in Bangkok transfer
passengers are bussed to the international terminal where you confirm
onward flights with the respective airline. The whole product offered
by Bangkok Airways was superb and hassle free. Highly recommended for
flights within Thailand.

Bkk to Trat and Trat to Bkk. The airline has a complimentary Boutique
lounge at BKK and Trat. The lounges serve complimentary coffee, tea,
orange juice, cakes and sandwiches. You also have the free use of the
internet and local magazines. Another bonus at BKK is the airlines
domestic departure gates are just opposite the lounge so you only need
to leave the lounge once your flight is called. At Trat the airline has
the sole use of the airport so the Boutique lounge just overlooks the
runway. Both flights were on time and the service was perfect. Although
we were ecomony passengers we certainly felt like we were being treated
like business class passengers from start to finish.

BKK-Phuket. Flight on time with good in flight service, despite being

BKK to Samui. Cannot fault this airline. Service is great throughout.
Even on the short 45 minute flight between Bangkok and Samui you still
get served a meal and drink. Both flights ran perfectly to time, I can
understand why this airline has won a few awards over the past couple of
years.

BKK-Koh Samui return. Flight to Koh Samui on a Boeing 717 is very short
45 minutes but a full meal was served. Flight attendants are friendly
helpful and smiling. Return flight was on an ATR72 turboprop once again
the service and food was great. I can sum up this airline in one word.
Fantastic. Free internet, drinks, snacks and newspapers at both
Suwarnabumi and Samui airport were a very pleasant surprise.

Taken several flights with them over the last couple of years, and they
provide a great service. I had one problem recently, when my flight out
of BKK to Siem Reap was cancelled, without warning. But they just got
me on the earlier flight, which was then delayed - to cope with
cancelled flight? But overall excellent airline. They have their own
separate lounges in some airports. FA's are always attentive and manage
to provide food and drinks even on the shortest flights. Flights to Siem
Reap are expensive though - due to the airline having a monopoly on the
popular route. And Cambodia is supposed to have an open skies policy!!

An excellent airline from check - in to cabin crew. Have a great loyalty

work!

Bangkok Airways from FUK to BKK and agree that the flight was
exceptional. Although overhead entertainment system, the service
offered more than makes up for it. Flight attendants never stopped
walking aisles with food or drink for entire 6 hour flight. FA
incredibly professional and friendly, the flight was efficiently boarded
and deplaned, and BKK lounge, while a little depressing offers free
internet, an added benefit. Fly this airline.

BKK-Ko Samui-Utapao. It's a great boutique airline. On BKK-USM leg, hot
meal was served on B717 plane. On USM-UTP leg, snack box was served on
ATR plane. Planes were spotlessly clean. Cabin crews were friendly. In
BKK, the lounge was right out side the gate. All passengers are allowed
to access the waiting lounge which is stocked with some cakes and
popcorns and free internet use. At the Samui airport, there is a snack
bar in the waiting area which is a large wooden open-air bungalow. The
atmosphere is very nice and unique setting. I will fly again.

Siem Reap to Bangkok to proceed to Yangon. The transfer time was 75
minutes, but we were anxious whether our flight would arrive on time,
whether our luggage would be on the flight to Yangon. The flight to
Bangkok was on time, our party of three were met at the doorsteps of
the plane by an energetic stewardess, boarded a minivan to the airport,
followed her to the counter, where our boarding cards, were already
ready. All this in less than ten minutes. Thanks Bangkok Airways for
their efficiency for customer satisfaction and VIP treatment !

Bangkok-Phuket-Bangkok. I was amazed by the gracious service.
Although, its only a 1 hour flight, a full service meal and drinks was
serve. they even serve ice cream. Cabin crew compliment was 6 FAs, to
deliver a fast service due to the very short duration of the flight.
FA's are very gracious and lovely and I like their traditional "wai"
greeting. Aircraft is clean and tidy and restroom are spotless. I will
rate PG along with CX/SQ AND EK, for their superb service.

Bangkok to Sukhothai. A short flight but we were given a boxed meal and
drinks. The airport at Sukhothai is unbelievably pretty and quite
informal. Sukhothai to Chiang Mai. The X-ray machine revealed we had put
out mobile phones in our hold luggage so we were requested to remove
them and put them in our carry-on bags, but apart from that procedures
went very well and were very relaxed. As we waited for our flight we had
free drinks and snacks. Sukhothai to Chiang Mai flight is really very
short but again we were given a snack on the plane. Impressive! Luang
Prabang to Siem Reap - the airline calls itself Siem Reap Airlines but
is co-owned by Bangkok Air. The level of service we had become used to
with a boxed meal and drinks. Siem Reap to Phnom Penh - again a short
flight but refreshments provided. A great little airline in our limited
experience for short haul flights in Indochina.

BKK - CNX. Scheduled departure time of 11.30 passed with all passengers
sat at the departure gate. No staff from Bangkok Airways to be seen !
Had to walk back to the lounge to see what was happening. Flight delayed
due aircraft suffering technical fault. Departed at 15.00 after they
found another aircraft. If your flight with Bangkok Airways is on time,
great. Suffer a delay and you might be waiting a while. Seems their
fleet is overstretched by their continued expansion. Only senior ground
staff are able to tell passengers the situation and senior staff are
hard to find. The Bangkok Airways lounge at Suvarnabhumi no longer has
direct access to departure gates as at Don Muang. Be prepaired for a
long hike on arrival.

17 November 2006
Bangkok-Koh Samui. I took the early evening flight from Bangkok to Koh
Samui onboard a Boeing 717 aircraft. Check-in was swift and
professional, with smiles all round from the check-in staff. Afterwards,
I proceeded to the departure lounge which all passengers use due to the
fact that Bangkok operates with only economy on this route. All manner
of soft drinks, pastries and fruits were available for consumption,
free. Also, there was free internet access which was a nice touch.
BOarding was very quick considering the fact that all passengers boarded
through the same door. Seemingly small on the outside when boarding, the
Boeing 717 is actually incredibly spacious inside with ample legroom,
enough for me to strech out my legs and I am 5'10''! In the seatback
pocket of each seat was a fantastic inflight magazine in both Thai and
English with a detailed account of the history of the airline and was
certainly a nice read! Also, upon boarding al passengers were given face
towels and children were given a little bag containing a bucket and
spade amongst other things which in my opinion was a fantastic little
personal touch. Flight attendants were incredibly courteous and although
some had rather poor English, they impressed me with their
professionalism. Even though the flight was less than an hour there was
a full meal service and drinks. This I found to be particularly
impressive as this kind of service is non-existant in America and
Europe. Arrival in Koh Samui is an experience of its own. Upon arrival
you are directed onto some higly colourful trolleys and taken to the
airport terminal which is an incredibly small bamboo type hut, with
beautiful flowers and foliage covering it. Indeed, exactly the same
amenities can be found at the airport as in any major western airport. I
would highly praise and recommend Bangkok Airways for regional flights
within Southern Asia and have little criticism of the flight. My only
criticism perhaps being that the flight crew on the outbound and return
sectors do not talk to the passengers with the only communications being
in Thai to the cabin crew. Good Luck and well done Bangkok Airways,
Asia's boutique Airline!

Bangkok from Siem Reap to Bangkok. Very short flight. Legroom seemed
greater than normal for coach. I said they would surely not try to
serve a meal on a 35-minute flight, but they did. Main complaint was
the price: they are the only airline flying the Siem Reap-Bangkok
route, so the price was high (about $200 U.S.). Also, when we got to
the Bangkok airport and followed signs to transfer to a Thai Air flight
to Chiang Mai, the Thai transfer desk told us they didn't have a
transfer agreement with Bangkok Air, so we had to trudge to the other
end of the airport to a different transfer area.

I fly Bangkok Airways regularly Phnom Penh to Bangkok and am always
pleased with the service I receive. The staff are great and food even
resembles something edible! It's a great balance of value for money,
without the push and shove of the budget airlines. Use of the airport
lounge for all passengers is a nice touch and flying from T2 in Don
Muang means less hassle on check in. Transfer from the plane on the
shuttle bus is a pain, but even Thai do this due to the over capacity at
DM. It's a shame they dont fly further than Asia.

Chiang Mai to USM (ATR72 from Koh Samui) and USM to BKK (Boeing 717)
both trips on Economy. Upon checking-in for the direct flight from
Chiang Mai all passengers were waved into the PE lounge (dont know if
standard procedure though) before passport control, which was a highly
appreciated gesture. Services and attentiveness on both flights was top
notch and I would recommend this airline to anyone travelling within
Thailand.

Luang Prabang to Bangkok. The ATR 72 is not my favourite plane even though the low flight over the
Laotian mountains was breathtaking. Other than that, amazing flight assistants who couldn't do enough for passengers, a fare of about
100 USD one-way, and a flight that departed and landed spot-on time. Why can't European airlines be
like Bangkok Airways?

24 September 2006
BKK to Koh Samui following a flight on Emirates Business Class. Checked
in at the transfer desk and was advised to go to gate 70. Didn't
realise this was underneath the remainder of the airport and when we
arrived, was totally empty so couldn't ask anyone if flights were still
departing. The last flight we saw on a board with slot in numbers
departed at 7pm and we were waiting for 8pm slot. We were the only 2
people in that area (except for a cleaner). It really is the pits.
Eventually someone came to the desk and we checked if our luggage was
listed to be transferred from our emirates flight and was confirmed yes,
although I was still worried. Set off on a minibus (with 4 other people)
to the plane (an old overwing propeller plane) and boarded up the 3
steps in a 2-2 seating arrangement. The plane only had about 30 people
on it. Once in the air was served orange juice/water and a cold
ham/chicken salad. Excellent service for a 50 minute flight. On the
return, a slightly larger plane was offered on a 3-2 arrangement and the
3 FA's managed to serve tea/coffee and a hot sausage and mash meal,
again all in about a 55 minute time period. Credit where credit's due,
the staff are amazing to do what they do in such a short time period.
Who cares about not having much space in your seat as you're in the air
for less than an hour. You certainly do not get this kind of service on
any short hop UK flights. Excellent all round, except the dodgy start
in the uninhabited transfer area at Bangkok.

BKK-USM-BKK Bangkok Airways Economy in September. As everyone notes,
they are amazing since they serve food on such short flights. If you
book the 717’s you will also be pleased, especially the emergency exit
row seats! Staff are friendly and efficient. The only gripe would be the
bus gates and the poor transfer lounge at BKK. With the new airport,
this should improve.

Bangkok-Phnon Penh, Phnon Penh - Siem Reap, Siem-Reap - Bangkok
(transfer) Bangkok - Koh Samui, Koh Samui - Bangkok. This is how all
short-haul airlines should be! In Bagkok they have an executive style
lounge for all passengers with comfy seats away, snack food and drinks,
newspapers and internet terminals. The level of service is fantastic,
with friendly staff all with big smiles looking after all passengers.
The crew on board all the flights were pleasant and efficient, providing
good food on every flight, even those of 35 minutes! Flights on their
717 and the rest ATR 72's - clean inside, not a huge amount of leg-room,
but the flights were never much more than an hour.

16 September 2006
I thought Bangkok Airways were exceptional. I was travelling from
Bangkok to Koh Samui and was at the airport 1.5 hours before the flight.
At check-in I was asked if we'd like to go on a flight that was leaving
in 30 minutes which was almost empty. We took up the offer so the very
helpful lady enquired as to the name of our hotel so she could ring them
and inform them that we would be getting there earlier than originally
planned and could the booked car be at Koh Samui airport earlier too.
Fantastic service. FAs were very friendly and even thought the flight
was just over one hour they made every effort to make our flight
comfortable. Through no fault of my own we missed our flight coming back
(car broke down and waited ages for the next one) but that wasn't a
problem for them. They put us on the next flight leaving 40 minutes
after we arrived at the airport at no extra cost. I really was
impressed with Bangkok Air.

Phuket Bangkok Economy. Check in at Phuket airport superb. My request
for window seat comes with extra offer to be on the emergency exit row.
At the security and ID card check point (required for all domestic
flight within Thailand), airline representative invite me to the lounge,
accessible by every PG passengers (not the business class lounge, as
they provide all economy class service). The lounge is well stocked with
snacks, fruit juices, soft drink and reading materials, with three
broadband internet terminal, but the real problem is inadequate seat in
the room - only 25 chairs provided for 2 flights outgoing; 1 jet
aircraft to Bangkok and 1 turboprop aircraft to Samui. The lounge is
overcrowded, but snack and drink can be taken outside, which ease up the
problem. 40 minutes before departure time, there is the chaos of
changing departure gate of the entire airports. Bangkok airways is one
to be relocated from original Gate 3 to Gate 1, which is not really a
big problem as the announcement was clearly made in Thai, English and
Mandarin. Boarding commenced 20 minutes prior to the actual departure
time. Airbus A 20, one of the youngest among their fleet, brand new,
clean and tidy, but the crew look tired and give a somewhat forceful
smile to the passengers however. Flight is full. The safety procedure
demonstration is shown on the overhead small screen, interesting
animatic presentation. Most seat appeared a bit cramp, but the exit row
is perfectly comfortable with business class liked legroom. Hot meal
served - steamed brown jasmine rice and tasty Thai fish stew, with
orange juice, ice cream, coffee, or tea. No IFE but the sky map on the
screen, not even the music played. The toilets are spotless, a flight
attendant clean the toilet right after each visit of a passenger. The
aircraft land 5 minutes before the schedule and parked on the tarmac. PG
never uses the airbridge at Bangkok Airport. Passengers were bussed to
the terminal. One extra bus dedicated to passengers with international
connection and cleared their immigration at Phuket to go directly to
International Terminal. Those who have not were promptly assisted by
Ground staff upon arrival. The luggage take almost half an hour to
arrive. There is one porter waiting there to tide up the luggage on the
carousel to avoid the possible damage. A nice touch from beginning to
the end.

BKK-Phnom Penh, Siem Reap-HKT, HKT-BKK in August 2006. All fine,
punctual flights. The BKK-Phnom Penh flight was on a Royal Bhutan
Airways Airbus 320. The lucky passengers seated in the front got to fly
in the first class seats. We had turbulance for the first half of the
flight, and as soon as it was over the fa's ran down the aisle
distributing meals, and then ran back up the aisle to get the remains.
The other flights were on 717's, which were much less cramped than I
expected them to be.

Four family members flew to Koh Samui from Bangkok return. We were
particularly impressed by the level of assistance given to my 79 yr old
mother when boarding and leaving flights. The staff were excellent, so
thoughtful and attentive. The consideration by the airline for
passengers waiting to board flights is unique in our experience -
newspapers, drinks and snacks. The presentation of food on the flight
was very good. Attention to detail was evident with all aspects of our
travel! Other airlines could certainly benefit from a study of your
practices. We will be back in 2008! Samui Airport is a gem!

Bangkok to Siem Reap on an ATR-72. Although the flight was operated
during the mid-afternoon, the attentive cabin staff served a large and
tasty snack (cold cuts, shrimp, broccoli with garlic, and cake) - all
this on a flight less than an hour long. Prior to boarding in Bangkok,
all passengers had use of Bangkok Airways' private lounge, where snacks
and free internet access were available. Additionally, complementary
newspapers were available both in the lounge and on the flight. I wish
these guys flew in the US!
