AMS-VIE-BCN in C class. Food very poor. Austrian flies F70 in C class configuration of 3+2.
Middle seat in row of 3 free. Seats just like economy - where is the old great C class gone?
Service is Europe is in general getting poorer.

JED-VIE-LHR business class. Jeddah Airport First/Biz Class lounge was filthy, toilets not working,
etc as usual. Boarding the A320 plane in Jeddah, I initially thought it was a very small, single
aisle biz class. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the seats were very wide, excellent
friendly flight crew, nice amenity bag, good meal selection along with movie selection and
welcome/thank you gift upon arrival at VIE. Transfer in VIE was easy compared to previous LH flights
via FRA. Lastly, small plane from VIE to LHR had true biz class seating compared to tiny midget
seats in biz class on SAS and LH intra-Europe.

PRG-Vienna-Bangkok return economy on 777 . Prague to Vienna uneventful. Vienna to Bangkok poor at
best. Limited selection of movies on old IFE screens, food tasteless but worst of all surly FAs who
made a point of being as unpleasant as possible. Overall a totally uncomfortable and unpleasant
experience made worse by extremely poor attitude of FAs. Have travelled with this airline before and
always been happy with service but standards are definitely falling, based upon this experience.

Vienna-Bucharest-Vienna in Business class: Austrian has reduced the service in Business class for
shorter flights. No hot towels, no welcome drink, no hot food. The quality of the cold food is
medium to poor.

VIE-IAD B777 in coach with large IFE screens, wide selection of movies, and catering much better
than average. Only complaint is the 777 has ten seats per row in coach, compared to nine on United,
AF, KL so the seat is cramped and aisles are narrow. I had an aisle seat but could not rest because
of all the bumping from other passengers, carts, etc.

Mumbai-Vienna-Prague and return. The trip could have been on two different airlines. Mumbai-Vienna
leg on a 767 with good leg room, great seat recline, good IFE with individual screens and very good
catering. FA's were courteous and frequent drink runs. However, unlike other airlines that take off
around midnight from Mumbai, Austrian served a full meal at 2am and a scanty breakfast before
landing, 7hrs after boarding. Most airlines have it right by serving a light supper and heavy
breakfast assuming that 1am flight passengers would have had dinner before the flight and may want
to sleep. The return flight was on an old 767 aircraft without individual screens. The leg space was
cramped (I am 5'9") and the seat hardly reclined. The aircraft couldn't have been worse - seemed
like a 1980's Lufthansa flight. However to their credit, the FA's made frequent drink runs and the
catering was top notch. Vienna-Prague and back was uneventful.

OSL-VIE-JFK in economy. Flight to Vienna uneventful in a Fokker 70. Reasonable meal served and
friendly service. Flight to JFK was on a 767 and one of my worst intercontinental flights ever.
Ground crew stuffed up the seating allocation so flight attendants had to spend time trying to seat
couples and groups together before take-off. To their credit they were friendly and polite. Flight
was 30 mins delayed. I found the seat to be very cramped (I'm 180cm tall) and with poor pith
compared to other airlines. The food served was average. IFE monitors on every seat but movie
selection very limited and with set times. Upon arrival I was informed my luggage had been left
behind in VIE. No compensation and got told it would arrive in 24 hours. Came back the next day to
pick it up since I was catching an onward flight to Costa Rica. No-one there to help me since they
are only open when Austrian flights arrive but I found my bag behind the counter and just took it.
The bag had been opened and one thing was missing but I did not bother lodging a complaint since I
was informed that US Customs go through all delayed luggage upon arrival in the US.

Brussels - Vienna return, economy. Pre-flight check-in saved time on my 07.00 flight, they served a
breakfast, FAs are nice. Return flight also good. Their all-year "red ticket" fare of EUR 99 all-in
is a steal.

BEG-VIE-TLV return. Comfortable planes. Cabin crew relaxed and polite. Catering in Austrian is 5
star! Warm meals, with bread and dessert at the end. Even on the flight BEG-VIE which is 50 minutes,
there is a cookie at the end. Lovely experience.

YYZ-VIE B767. Nice staff, aircraft interior was new with personal tvs. The staff came multiple
times with bread and drinks which is nice in coach class. VIE-YYZ B767 very old, outdated no
personal tv's, the worst part is that the legroom was much less on this plane than my previous
flight. The staff was good, but not so friendly. Overall experience ok but next time I would stick
with Air Canada if I had to choose a Star Alliance member.

JFK to VIE return. Might as well have been two different carriers. The crew JFK-VIE was terrific
- friendly and helpful The cabin crew on VIE-JFK flight was dour and arrogant and did nothing to be
helpful. Both flights on time and efficient in flight. The outbound was mood enhancing due to the
cabin crew where as the return was a drag.

VIE-NRT Business B777. Friendly and attentive cabin crew, outstanding catering, selection of wines,
average seats (sliding down-feeling), deficient and outdated entertainment system (but still much
better headphones than for instance LX business). The different colours which constitute the cabin
interior somehow convey a confusing impression. The idea of the "Vienna Coffee House in the air" is
a good one, however, it takes too long time to prepare the drinks for all passengers. But still
probably the best Star Alliance Business Class in Europe.

AMS-VIE-AMS. Inbound was a Tyrolean Fokker 100 with some age on it but clean and tidy. Outbound
a new A319. Plenty of leg room on both flights. Very friendly staff and hot meals on both flights.
Plenty of wine and beverages.

MUC-KRK via VIE in Economy, return in Business. Web-Check-In to KRK quick and without any
problems. Legroom on A320 (MUC-VIE) not really spacious. Really more legroom on Dash8-400 and F100
(these flights operated by Tyrolean). Crews on all legs friendly and for the short flights even in
Economy Service better than other European Airlines. New Lounge in Krakau, which is more spacious
but no more food available. Impressed with the transfer in VIE.

I flew Vienna to Munich on Austrian A321 assigned to seat 25D. The leg room between seats does not
allow a normal person to fit one's legs in. The arrangement of seats are so tight that you cannot
even slide your feet under the seat in front. What ever happened to passenger comfort and
consideration. Had this information been available to me I would have chosen a different flight or
airline. For the first time I experienced the reality of air rage which would have materialized if
the passenger in front reclined his seat.
