VIE to YYZ. Lounge was okay, but slightly crowded. Would recommend the main lounge before
passport control as it's much larger and good views of the runway. Boarding was easy, although
security staff was impolite. Onboard attentive and polite crew with the usual drinks, menus
handed out. The seats are a bit narrow with 6 abreast on a 767. Also the entertainment was not
AVOD and with extremely small screens. Service on Austrian is top notch, especially the food.

Vienna - Larnaca - Vienna. Business Class. Comfortable seats, middle seat free, and perhaps
the best service I have experienced on short haul. Stewardess was attentive and hospitable.
Food very good though the usual pasta and sauce does get a little repetitive if one flies
Austrian regularly. I was really impressed by this flight, especially as I tend to try to
avoid Austrian between Vienna and UK where Tyrolean use a number of very small and cramped
aircraft, with poor leg room.

FLR-VIE-CPH in C, all flights operated by Tyrolean/Austrian Arrows. FLR-VIE on the old and
cramped Bombardier Dash 8 - soft drink was offered while waiting on the tarmac at FLR,
inflight service consisted of a decent breakfast, with omelette in a sandwich, croissant and
some sort of sweet mousse. VIE-CPH on a Fokker 100 - excellent seat pitch and width, and the
middle seat was kept free. A very small cold meal was served which was rather disappointing on
a flight departing at 1pm, especially when compared to OS standards. I had a glass of white
wine to go with the meal, brought to my seat straight from the galley, thus I was not shown
the actual bottle. I asked what label it was, all the FA could reply was "Oh, it's just from
somewhere in Austria". I certainly do not expect FA's to be sommeliers, but they should at
least know the name of the wines they are serving. I still enjoy flying Austrian; I have never
had a bad flight, lost a bag, missed a connection. Standards on OS may be deteriorating but
they're still above the competition as far as intra-Europe flights are concerned.

LHR-VIE-BKK in Business class. London to Vienna an A319 with standard 2-2 seating in business
class (config of 3-3 but middle seat left free). Hot meal served with small starter, cake,
wine, tea/coffee. Good quality and standard for 1hour 30 min flight. Arrival at Vienna and
transfer very easy in non schenen area, gate was next door to arrival gate, but with 4 hours
between flights sometime to go to the lounge. Lounge nothing special, bright and clean, drinks
and a few snacks. VIE-BKK on 777 in Business class seating 2-3-2. Only go for aisle seat as
very difficult to get out if your neighbour is reclined. Food excellent quality and quantity,
excellent choice of coffee. Seat ok for eating and reclining in, not good for sleeping in flat
position. Video selection average, not AVOD, friendly crew. Good service for the money.

VIE-OSL in Economy. Bad experience. Old run-down Fokker 70, seats cramped, FA's rather
unfriendly. If you are a vegetarian or need a special meal, forget about food on European
flights. For a company that prides itself on having gourmet meals above the clouds, rather
unpleasant experience.

LHR-VIE-BEG return. Comfortable seats. Those towards the front of the aircraft have
significantly greater legroom than those at the back because they may sometimes be used as
business class. The food was very good on all legs (although pasta at 9.30am is an odd
offering). All flights on time, and no problems meeting the 45-minute connections at Vienna
each way. Cabin crew friendly and professional, and the captain kept us informed of progress
and timekeeping. Overall, a very good experience for a fare that was significantly lower than
any competing airline on that route.

VIE-DXB-VIE Overall a good experience. Austrian has very attractive prices at the moment,
although their product could improve. Newspaper selection very limited, too little English
newspapers for the vast majority of English speaking passengers, they offer a kind of aperitif
service before the main meal but no spirits available not even for purchase!? Food is
excellent, they still offer a choice in economy, but if you are seated in the back you are
most likely to end up with the usual pasta as there is no choice left. Crew friendly but won't
do the extra mile for you if you have any special requests. Inflight entertainment okay for
the 5hours flight. All in all a pleasant experience, and because of their fares I would fly
them again!

Economy class Erbil-Vienna-HRW, a total of seven/eight hours travelling in two flights.
These economy seats can cost £1k + and though the aircraft is good, my seatbelt in the centre
seat did not fasten properly, a safety problem with turbulence. The food is the worst I've
encountered in years of travelling economy - sample menu for a day with Austrian, pasta with
tomato sauce + pink or brown pudding served for every meal. No fruit, no vegetables, no
protein. Crew a bit grumpy, and giving a sense of everything being too much trouble.
Apparently the airline makes more profit on this route than any other, and passengers in
economy feel this is very much at their expense.

LHR-VIE-TLV in economy. Overall very good experience. Managed to select row 5 on
LHR-VIE leg (on a B737) and row 7 on VIE-TLV (A321) which have ample legroom as
these are within the variable business class section of these planes, so much
better than rows further back. Decent food on both legs though lacking any
fruit. No personal IFE here but had enough space to use my laptop so time passed
quickly enough. Wine served with meals but unfortunately no spirits. Otherwise
few gripes - cabin crew generally polite and courteous, though was left waiting
a long time by checkin staff at LHR. Transfer at VIE no problem.

Business Class Vienna to New York for a fantastic price. Weekend deal. Seats
comfortable for the old 767 used, good food but only entertainment option a few
modern films and old games dating from 2000. Lounge in New York is Alitalia
Lounge, which is quite strange. All in all, good value. But if I had paid the
usual 2800€ there would have been a lot to be desired.

Copenhagen-Vienna-Bangkok return. With a price of less than €2.000 booked one
week in advance in the high season for travel to Thailand, this was an excellent
offer and value for money. Separate security check at gate for C-class, boarding
started 40 minutes before departure. Austrian has probably the best long haul
meal service for European airlines. No trays are used for the 6 courses and
everything arranged on the plate in the galley or at your seat. IFE could be
better as it is not AVOD, the seats could be softer. Staff was very attentive
and especially the purser on the BKK-VIE leg was very professional.

Tokyo to Geneva via Vienna, Boeing 777 Economy. It offers good balance of Lufthansa efficiency
with some human interaction. And the connection at Vienna is very easy. If they can improve "
quantity of food, it is super.

B767-300 VIE-YYZ in Business Class. Old 767 with very colourful J cabin. Seats are similar to
Lufthansa J seats so not good for sleeping due to angle. Crew was friendly and onboard chef
cooked up an incredible multi course meal. Food was better than SQ's biz class. Lunch service
lasted over 3 hours! Another lighter but comprehensive meal was served before landing. Despite
old aircraft, this was one of the best flights we have flown. VIE biz lounge was sparse but
okay.

Vienna to Dubai in Economy Class. Flight was operated on a A320 PS (Premium Service).
Seat distance was quite comfortable and the food pretty good. Friendly Service.
Return from Dubai to Vienna was operated on a 737-800 by Lauda Air. Food was mediocre, flight
crew friendly and the seat distance once again very acceptable. Would choose Austrian again on
this route.

Krakow – Vienna and back in economy, rerouted Krakow–Warsaw–Vienna and back to Krakow due to
cancellation of direct Krakow to Vienna. All 3 legs on turboprop, first with LOT, other two
with Tyrolean. Austrian service very good – enough legroom (I am very tall), tasty Do&Co
sandwich, free drinks. LOT flight terrible, with limited legroom and only coffee/tea to choose
from.
