JFK to Seoul and back. The flight was a little over 12 hours. I must say, this has been the best flying experience I've had. They are top-notch in customer satisfaction and the food was the best airline food I've had. The movie selection could've been a tad better, but they did have some great movies.

LAX-ICN-PVG with Asiana. Very good service! Really so much better than many others. Nothing too much trouble, the meals were tasty and in particular the Korean beef was excellent. Incheon is well-organised and convenient, and a pleasant airport to spend time in.

ICN-JFK-ICN economy. Refurbished B747-400, generous seat pitch and recline, probably the best in the market. 10" touch screen AVOD was fantastic although its programming was not up to the standard of Emirates. Food tasty and plentiful and the service was great, with warm smile.

CDG-ICN-FUK, ICN-CDG C-Class A very pleasant travelling experience, great ground staff, punctual departures and arrivals, high degree of cleanliness in cabin and also washrooms considering the long flight time and an excellent lounge in Incheon. The meals were perfection, delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and forthcoming and one felt they genuinely enjoy what they are doing. There were only two small drawbacks regarding the seats: they do not seem to recline that far and the storage space between seats is quite minimal - where is one supposed to store reading matter and laptop? As I do not manage to sleep even on very long flights, the entertainment system is quite important for me, I think on an intercontinental business class, films on demand should be standard.

London - Manila Economy. Overall excellent experience with Asiana, I found the cabin crew to be friendly and efficient - smiling and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. Food was the best I have had in economy for a long time. Found Incheon Airport impressive but surprised that there are no ATMs airside. On the way home I had quite a long stopover from Manila and was slightly disappointed that unlike other routes (ie MNL to LAX) Asiana do not offer the courtesy hotel option, even though the overall flying time is similar. So to sum up very happy with Asiana in general.

SYD-ICN-CDG, LHR-ICN-SYD. We found Asiana ground and cabin staff just as gracious and efficient as Thai and perhaps a little friendlier. Seats are softer on Asiana but do not recline as far as Thai - neither particularly comfortable on a long flight. None of our Asiana flights had AVOD. Perhaps we were unlucky but surely AVOD should be the norm in Business. Prefer the stowable monitors on Thai rather than the big seatback screens on Asiana, which are a distraction when pax around you are all watching different programmes. One reason we chose Asiana was because they do not fly direct to Europe but instead offer a free stopover in Seoul - the stopover was not well organised. There is no documentation - no vouchers, you are not told your hotel so cannot leave contact details and no instructions where to go after landing at ICN. Fortunately we found explicit instructions elsewhere on this thread, but the bus doesn’t leave for the hotel until the last passenger has fumbled around the terminal and found the right desk. Then it’s an 80 minute drag into the city, the Royal Hotel where we were taken was comfortable. Next day, after push back for flight to CDG the aircraft was deemed unserviceable - the delay was well handled. It took less than two hours to provide a replacement aircraft, transfer baggage and food, and meanwhile we were kept informed and refreshments distributed at the gate. One issue remains outstanding - my wife’s Frequent Flyer number (for Thai ROP) which was correct on our electronic ticket got wrongly transcribed onto Asiana boarding cards. We didn’t notice until coming home and at ICN tried to ensure the error was corrected retrospectively and miles properly credited. This led to a bit of buck passing between Asiana and Thai that is not yet resolved.

ICN-NRT round trip. Great value for money. Brand new aircraft with good IFE system in coach. Good hot meals. Very proactive flight attendants. I asked for a blanket, as I felt cold. With the blanket, FA even asked me whether I needed a glass of hot water to warm me up, which was exceptional. Will fly Asiana again. Definatily deserve five-star rating. Wish it will continue to keep up the good work.

MNL-ICN B767 in Business class. The flight was delayed by almost 2 hours because of maintenance issues. Plane was very hot during the maintenance works, but in business class, FAs served water and snacks. I did notice that FAs were very considerate to many irate passengers. The flight manager helped many people who were delayed or lost connections due to this delay. The B767 is outfitted with Asiana's new biz class seats and entertainment. Entertainment, food, drinks were fine. Only issue other than the delay would be that by putting in the new seats in a 767, the leg room was severely restricted and when fully reclined in the lie flat bed position, it was very uncomfortable for my 6' frame. Other than that, the same Asiana service.

CDG-ICN. Very good experience of Asiana who deserves the 5 stars. In economy the seats are comfortable, the legroom is important. Crew is always there if we have a need. Just the headphone did not work well.

SEA-ICN Economy. Though we left SEA an hour late due to airport issues, the flight was comfortable with excellent service and AVOD. The food was good, though I was served frozen, bibimbap with kabocha side dish at first, and had to ask for a new one which was still pretty cold, but tolerable. The woman next to me made a stink and was offered something free from the duty-free catalog, though she did not accept. Very good service and excellent experience overall, as usual.

SYD to LHR Business Class. Asiana use the Air New Zealand lounge at SYD which I think is much better than the Qantas lounge. All flights on B777 of varying ages. Although the seat is angled flat, I did not find it comfortable. On all flights the flight attendants were faultless. The food is a disappointment. The enforced overnight in Seoul is OK. A good hotel situated in the centre of Seoul. I would advise getting out to the shops as soon as you get to the hotel as the shops do not open till after the coach transfer back to the airport in the morning leaves. The dinner provided at the hotel is basic, breakfast is much better. I'm surprised this ranks as a five star airline - I would have thought 4.

LAX to SGN via ICN and back. I dont know what they could have done better. They were attentive and helpful. Onboard cabin staff were cheerful and pleasant. My hotel in Seoul was great and the process went well.
