SEA-BKK via ICN RT in Economy. Check-in quick with efficient and friendly staff. The flight to
ICN on new 777 was uneventful. Flight attendants friendly and did not disappear after meal
service as with some other airlines. Korean meals ran out and had to settle for western fare;
wished I had ordered special meal as it was a tough lump of beef. Connecting flight cancelled
and rebooked for a flight next day. Asiana provided hotel, transport, and three meal vouchers.
Be sure to ask at Asiana information desk where to sign in for this before lining up for
immigration. One hour drive to hotel (Seoul Royal) located in shopping and restaurant
district. A good tourist class hotel with amenities, but eating out is recommended for one or
two meals. Flight to BKK was on a new A330 which I found more comfortable than 777. Cabin crew
not as efficient as trans-pacific crew. Check-in at BKK fast and efficient. SEA via ICN was a
bit better due to the BKK to ICN segment cabin crew was spot on and equal to the ICN to SEA
leg. The entertainment system worked well but the annoying thing was the movies would start on
a 2-3 hour cycle; on-demand would have been nice.

LHR-ICN-HIJ. Having flown with ANA and Singapore this year already, I was a little very
pleased with the service and standards of service, as Asiana were far better value for money.
Outward LHR-ICN crew were not really very quick to bring drinks etc but return leg they were
excellent. Limited choice of movies but enough to keep you busy for 12 hours. Will certainly
fly with them again.

SFO-BKK via ICN return in Y class. All flights on time. The cabin service was excellent, with
friendly crew, prompt response to service requests and frequent drink runs. The food was above
average quality. Asiana provided a transit hotel for the long layover in ICN on the return. I
had to contact Asiana on my own and request this as Asiana does not provide this automatically
and no information in this regard is provided on their web site. The only negatives were the
lack of adequate snacks between main meal service on the ICN-SFO flight – only small packs of
nuts and pretzels were available and the lack of PTVs BKK-ICN. All other flights featured AVOD
with an acceptable selection of movies. The biggest problem is Asiana’s website. I received
error messages when trying to check-in on the internet and other functions, such as requesting
mileage credit, do not work either.

After our 5 Star flight Shanghai to Seoul we were looking forward to our flight home -
unfortunately, the flight was on an older 747. Business Class seats were the older, reclining
seats, not even angled lie flat seats. For a 10.5 hr flight it was not conducive to sleep;
when the passengers in the row in front of us reclined their seats (which they did for most of
the flight) you had to be a gymnast to get out of your seat, even if in aisle seat. The
entertainment was poor (no real Korean movies and selected shorts, only old American movies
with Korean subtitles. The screens were small pop-ups from the middle console. In short,
concur with previous reviews that were critical of the old 747 they use for this flight. The
poor seats and antiquated entertainment system is the sole reason for the "7" rating. The
attentive flight attendants rate a "10" and the excellent Korean and western cuisine rate a
"9/10". We look forward to flying Asiana again but will reroute to ensure it's on a 777.

We flew OZ364 from Shanghai to Seoul. Although a short flight (approx. 1.5 hrs) we were
served a full meal that was excellent. Inflight entertainment was very good (with Korean
movies and shorts). FAs were very attentive; an outstanding flight.

LHR-ICN-SYD return. Ground staff and FAs extremely polite and attentive. The legroom on the
planes is far better than other airlines. AVOD worked well on all 4 legs although the fairly
limited selection for long haul flights could be better and that would be my only criticism.
The food is of a far higher quality and selection than other airlines. The return, overnight
hotel – the Seoul Royal – is an hour away from the airport but the airport desk was easy and
simple enough to find and the travel arrangements well catered for. The room was clean and
well-appointed and the Smorgas restaurant on the 21st floor had stunning views across the
city. I teamed up with a fellow passenger and we hit the town for dinner, finding a local
eatery rather than staying at the hotel. The meal was excellent, albeit very spicy, cooked at
the table. Overall, this airline is outstanding. Their attention to detail stands out and I
cannot recommend them enough and would definitely travel Asiana again.

JFK-ICN-CAN and back Economy Class. Service was excellent and always with a smile. I had asked
for an Asian Veg meal and the food was very good. The seat pitch was excellent. I will be
flying them again next month. The 5 star rating is well deserved.

Have been a fan of Asiana for some years and go SYD-INC-LAX and return in business. This trip
not so great. The 747's as seem old and need refurbishing. The 777's are far better in every
way. Have never had AVOD on these trips, food is getting boring only because I have had the
same meal so many times - about time they changed the menu for frequent fliers. The little
amenity bag is a bit hit and miss with some flights having them and others not, and still
don't know why they continue to have plastic knives on Sydney flights and metal ones to Los
Angeles. The individual service from the FA's remains outstanding - a great airline and would
be better with 180 seat recline.

LAX-ICN-LAX. The flight was on a B747 Combi. Its a long flight, but went well in both
directions. The food was fine, service was above average. The movie selection I rated as poor
- the plane was in good shape but clearly refurbished. I will take Asiana the next time I
cross the Pacific.
