LHR-ICN-SYD return. This airline offers excellent value for money. Aircraft are new and kept spotlessly clean throughout the flight including bathrooms, which are cleaned every hour. Flight attendants polite, professional and very friendly. Legroom is the best in economy class even for tall passengers. Seats are comfortable, meal service very high standard. Inflight entertainment only let down - most aircraft not on demand videos, and even those that are have limited movie and tv choice. Seoul airport excellent for connecting. This airline is a well kept secret and hopefully will stay that way. It is good to see some airlines are committed to providing a quality product and service

LAX-PVG, TAO-LAX. Attitude! That one words sums up the 5 star ratings. Fantastic services from FA. Their professionalism and courtesy makes a long flight much shorter. FAs are continuously in aisles making sure things are right. What impressed me one elderly lady having problems with immigration form - some airline FAs would have walked away, but they did not. Great food - beef tenderloin on coach of all things, and someone always present to get water or soft drinks. Great leg room.

NY to ICN, and it the best legroom in economy class I've experienced. When lowered, the back of the seat shifts back while the bottom of the seat shifts forward, allowing you to recline very comfortably. The food was also good. The flight attendants are exceptionally polite and helpful!

LHR ICN SYD return. Very good flights with 777s on all 4 legs, seats comfortable with good leg room. I'm 6 ft tall and had no problems. Service on board was fantastic and the stewardesses brought water and soft drinks every 15 minutes. The plane was kept immaculately clean. My only slight criticism is that Vegetarian meals were a little on the bland side and they only had full video on demand on 1 flight - so I'd watched most of the movies on offer by the time I'd flown to Australia and back. Hotel and transfers in Seoul were included in the ticket price and again the hotel was a very good 4* hotel which provided a welcome break in the journey. Also, watch out if your ticket involves an overnight stay in Seoul as you have to telephone the Asiana office in advance to request your overnight hotel, otherwise you have to pay for a room yourself. Its worth confirming a few days in advance just to be sure.

LHR-ICN-TSN-ICN-LHR in business. First time on Asiana after doing this trip several times on Korean Air, and very impressed with the whole operation. Check in very good - I had some equipment with me that I needed to get a carnet stamped for and they sent someone with me to the customs office to make sure everything went smoothly. Flights between LHR and ICN had almost lie flat seats, which were quite firm - but I like a firm bed so thought they were fine, although some people might find them too hard. Food was very good and the wine list excellent (Sancerre and Chablis). Service superb, very friendly FA's, attentive and helpful. Flights between ICN and TSN were armchair type business seats, which are fine for a short flight. Again service, food etc were all very good. The only minor quibbles that I can think of are that there was no priority boarding at TSN and an amenity kit only on the ICN-LHR leg, but to be honest I'm really scraping the barrel for negatives here.

SYD-ICN stayed in Korea for 3days, ICN-HKG on business class. SYD-ICN B777, ICN-HKG B747 for evening departure. The B777 business class is one of the best, but the B747 is just average biz class. I have to say after experiencing many airlines Asiana's crew is the best in service. I would recommend Asiana airlines to anyone especially who want greater service and attitude on board. Also if you travel with family you will experience perfect service from check in. No doubt this is 5 star airline.

Economy

LHR-ICN-SYD return on B777. My husband and I have flown twice with Asiana to Sydney. The legroom in economy is better than most airlines and as I hate the long flight "down under" the 4.5 hour stop in Incheon airport is great and best of all the return flight to London includes a free stopover in Seoul courtesy of the airline. The first time in 2008 we were put in a small hotel near the airport which was adequate, but this year we were taken into Seoul city and put in a 4 star hotel which was wonderful. The only downside is that you have to wait in the airport until all passengers for transfer to the hotel have arrived at the Asiana customer services desk and this can be quite a long time especially if they have not thought to take only an overnight bag instead of having to wait at baggage reclaim for their luggage. As it takes an hour for the coach to drive to Seoul it makes it quite late getting to the hotel for dinner. Apart from this I cannot fault this airline.

LHR-ICN-SYD return. To say its value for money is an understatement. Staff are first class on ground and inflight . Food was great (even tried the korean cuisine) and loved it. You feel you get what you paid for unlike other airlines who are only after your money then treat you like cattle. Crew were very polite and attentive throughout. This is the airline to beat!

LHR-ICN-SYD return B777. This is an exceptional airline. Good legroom in economy, comfortable seats. superb food. But what sealed it for my wife and I, were the Asiana staff. Check in, through to flight attendants - outstanding politeness and very well presented.

LAX-HKG, connecting through ICN. LAX-ICN leg an older 747-400 Combi that looked well-worn. The seats were decent for business class but felt well used. They reclined 180 degrees into a decent sleeping position. The onboard service and IFE are what make for Asiana's 5-star status. The flight attendants were cheerful and very attentive, making at least 4 passes throughout the cabin for beverages and bringing water and non-alcoholic beverages upon demand. The food was above average - I chose the traditional Korean menu, which because it consists of mostly cold dishes tastes fresher and less processed than most airline food. The connecting flight to HKG was operated by a new A330-300 and service was superb for a much shorter 3-hour flight.

SYD-ICN-SYD. B777-200. At Sydney it was a great first impression. There was somebody being checked in ahead of me, so one of the two walkers in front of the check in desk asked for my passport, grabbed a boarding pass (which had already been printed for me) plus the other details. Air NZ lounge offered a good breakfast prior to boarding on time. Again cabin service was excellent. Onboard, Asiana Airlines staff remember your wine selection. A hearty brunch served, then mid flight a sandwich or Korean snack, and a hot lunch before landing. Very frequent patrols by FAs. On the return flight dinner service was completed within 2 hours allowing a good sleep on this 10 hour flight. IFE let it down with no AVOD and a limited selection of movies, but large screens were fine. Both flights on time and baggage handled promptly. In summary, best cabin service (and preboarding service), let down by ok seats and basic IFE.

HKG-ICN and ICN-LHR. HKG-ICN is probably the best short haul flight I have experienced. Lovely interior (747 upper deck), extremely friendly, helpful staff. Great food, alright AVOD and a never ending supply of Champagne. ICN-LHR, we were met personally at check-in, the journey started in a fantastic lounge (the baby grand piano did not look out of place there). Inflight, food, drink and cabin crew were great. There were some slight hitches when the AVOD at my seat broke down and they ran out of the meal I had ordered, but staff were really apologetic and went out of their way to rectify things. Only downsides are that the flight was on a 777 which means a 2-3-2 seat configuration and that seats would not be particularly comfortable for sleeping in due to their incline and not being designed for 6ft passengers. I was on a day-time flight, so this wasn't much of an issue.
