LAX-ICN: probably the BEST international flight in y class I have taken. B747-400 and even though it
had the typical 3-4-3 seating, each seat had its own personal space. Very nice flight attendants;
they respond to passenger requests quickly and always with a smile! The food was excellent. The PTV
was easy to use, and it lot of movies and TV shows.

SFO-ICN-BKK return business class. This was my first time on Asiana. Great service and good food on
all legs. Near flat seats and large video screens. Boarding at all airports was fast and efficient.
I can see why they have a 5-star rating and this will not be the last time I fly this airline.

LHR-ICN-SYD return economy. One of the best airlines out of many I have flown with. Could not rate
the service and food highly enough. Both western and asian food options were of a high quality. FA
were very attentive and seemed to be always coming round with drinks. It was my first time to
Incheon and with Asiana - I would definitely go again. The english spoken by crew and staff on the
ground and in the air was excellent. This type of service for what I paid (£500) return was
exceptional. Highly recommended! Legroom was excellent.

Frankfurt to Seoul on a 777 in Business Class. The five star rarting is well-deserved. Superb
experience from check-in to leaving the aircraft. Alright, the angled flat seat isn't everybody's
cup of tea but it works with me. The cocoon shape allows for a great deal of privacy as nobody is
able to recline into your space or hit your seat from behind. Cabin interior and bathrooms fresh and
clean. Excellent food, high quality and plenty. Entertainment options were fine, with the largest
business class screen I have seen so far, but the choice of contemporary Western music is limited.
Asiana's best asstt are their staff: everybody from check-in to cabin crew seemed to take a genuine
interest in the passenger. It was all smiles and genuine attentiveness. The cabin crew seemed to
anticipate my every wish before I could even open my mouth.

LAX-ICN-CAN Business /PVG-ICN-LAX First. Outbound to ICN a 777 configured 2-3-2 in business.
Terrific service, excellent food. The seat was relatively flat, but remained at about a 20 degree
angle from horizontal. But it was wide enough for me to sleep on my side. On the short hop from ICN
to CAN I was the only business passenger - attentive service and better food than the long leg from
LAX. Returning from PVG, I had an oversize box with an antique Chinese wedding basket to check. The
counter staff was exceptionally helpful and walked me through the entire process. I was the only
first class passenger - exceptional service and I liked the Bibimbap very much. ICN to LAX the
Korean dinner entrees were not available, but the western food was quite good. Nice wine selection,
and the flight attendant kept my glass topped up. The lie-flat bed was very comfortable, though the
cabin temperature could have been a few degrees cooler. AVOD had several current movies. The 'beef
porridge' breakfast wasn't a good choice for my tastes, but others might prefer it. Asiana's baggage
handlers pulled my items and they were first on the carousel at LAX. Overall, a first-rate
experience.

C class LHR-ICN return. Excellent inflight service, food, drinks as always. Very attentive crew. Let
down by ground staff at both ends - two of us were split up on the outward leg, and on way back we
were dumped in row 4 in middle. This despite a single booking reference, and checking in at Air
Terminal in Seoul 4 hours before take off. "All seats are prereserved" we were told. Most of the 2
seats (2-3-2) had only one occupant; seemed to be booked by OZ Club members.

LAX-ICN-KIX return. The most comfortable coach seats I've sat in. Entertainment was OK, no AVOD on
this 777. The service was excellent, meals were all very good. ICN was very convenient to navigate
as a transit airport.

Asiana Singapore to Seoul: a new fresh A330, comfortable seat with the AVOD entertainment system
but the screen was small. The service was one of the best I have got in economy class, caring and
polite. Only one small meal on a 6,5h flight and the Korean choice was light vegetarian type. It was
a night flight but no breakfast served in the morning. A spacious toilet with extras like aftershave
palm and orchids looked more like business class toilet.

Seoul-Shanghai in business on 777 equipped with lie flat seats and AVOD. Lie flat seats are similar
to Qantas and very comfortable. Smooth check-in in Incheon Airport, nice lounge with decent food
selection. Crab congee, green salad as well as pasta salad, sandwiches and instant noodles in
addition to stuff like nuts and crisps. Free wifi. Efficient and gracious service on board. Food
was absolutely first rate - beef tenderloin was medium inside and seared outside just right. Why
can't other airlines achieve this? Movie selection on AVOD seemed limited compared with SQ,
possibly because of short flight duration of 1 hr 35 mins. Will definitely fly Asiana on this
sector in future.

Asiana flight from NRT to ICN. 2 hour flight excellent. Newspapers in jetway before boarding, PTV
activated even for short flight, and hot meal provided with complimentary drinks. Although meal was
not to my taste there was nothing wrong with its quality. Deserves 5 star rating from what I saw.

Osaka-Seoul-Frankfurt in Economy Class. KIX-ICN flight nothing special. Clean, specious and well-
maintained A320, professional crew, a tasty snack and rounds of drinks. The flight was full,
however, the FAs made sure every passenger got a personal response to his/her question-request. ICN-
FRA is one of the best economy long-haul I have ever had. The flight was about 2/3 full which means
that in 3-3-3 seating configuration, the middle seat was left unoccupied. Hence, plenty of leg room.
11 hours went by with FAs working hard. The food was very delicious, on par with Austrian Airlines
catering and much better than LH or KL on the same segment. In flight entertainment was very easy to
navigate and a nice selection of movies. Overall, a 5-star airline by all means. Given that that
ticket was booked less than 2 weeks before departure and was under 1400 USD return (great deal for
high season in JP-EU market), the experience was amazing. Would recommend and fly with them with no
reservations.

SYD-ICN-LAX return. Asiana use the Qantas lounge at SYD which is OK. 777 on SYD ICN leg. Angled flat
bed not that comfortable. Old 747 on the ICN to LAX leg with old style business seat which I find
more comfortable as they are wider. On return journey, newer 747 with new and improved seats and
AVOD. All meals average. Flight attendants pleasant on all legs. I would say a 4 star airline, not
5.

SYD-ICN Economy Class. Asiana does have a wonderful service. The cabin attendants were, on this
flight as on most, just wonderful. Regular rounds of drinks, and food was very quickly and
efficiently served. There was, unfortunately, not enough variation between the two meals served
during the flight (one was Brunch, one was Lunch, which was a bit odd). The Western option never
seems to be too appetising either. But it is all made up for by the Asiana smiles!

SYD-ICH-SEA return in Business class. Friendly and very expert staff. It's the little touches that
take this airline from "great" to "excellent". The seat comfort and entertainment system is superb:
the seat-back screens are the largest in any airline. I had the older aircraft for one leg: sure,
it's not as good as their new ones, but it's still way ahead of the offering on other airlines. The
food is so good I stuffed myself and began declining courses! Yes, they probably don't need a long-
winded explanation in Korean and English each time the captain turns on the seatbelt sign. But if
that's the worst thing about the airline then we don't have a lot to complain about! Unreserved
recommendation.

Incheon-Narita in Economy class. First time to fly Asiana and can easily see why it is rated a
5-star airline. Boarding began half hour before scheduled time. Newspapers available outside the
door of plane. Two cabin attendants helped me put bags in overhead bin. Delicious meal served
promptly. Cabin attendants dressed beautifully, charming and all lined up to say good bye at the
end. Can only imagine what business and first class are like.

LHR-ICN-SYD return Business Class. Asiana flies into and out of Heathrow Terminal 1, so avoiding
the dreaded Terminal 3. On the outward journey, drop-off to lounge took just 15 minutes, and on
return touch-down to car-park 45 mins: excellent! Flying through Incheon, rather than say over-
crowded Dubai, another bonus. Check-in at all three airports was fast, efficient and friendly. On
flights themselves, cabin staff could not have been better, European food was absolutely splendid
(can't comment on Korean, as we have no other experience of it), and seats were comfortable enough.
We didn't use the entertainment system. The only bad point was on the return journey when, although
both flights were day-time, the crew lowered the blinds and turned off the lights for almost the
whole time, which we both found claustrophobic. When we raised the blind ourselves on the SYD-ICN
leg, we were immediately asked to lower it again, although this didn't happen when over Europe we
did the same and made it clear it was because we wanted to see the ground below. The overnight stay
in Seoul involved a one hour each way journey: a bit of a drag, but bearable – certainly better than
flying straight through. The Royal Seoul Hotel was 4-star, room OK except nowhere to put suitcases,
and breakfast good (we didn't have dinner having been adequately fed on the plane!). Altogether we
were very happy with the Asiana experience, and would have given 5 stars were it not for the daytime
darkness on the return flights.

Sydney-Incheon-Heathrow Economy class. Checked in at Sydney after a Qantas flight from Auckland,
the difference in the attitude of Asiana FA's was amazing - warm, smiling, and helpful! They offer
newspapers as you're boarding, but these are in Korean - an English language copy would be nice.
Unfortunately the three of us travelling together ended up in different seats due to Sydney airport
transfer staff. FA's were busy through the flight, and very and quick and attentive when needed.
Food great, and amenity packs were good too. Flight announcements are long-winded being in Korean
first then English, and sometimes the FA's had a bit of difficulty understanding what we wanted.
Overnight stop at Incheon was in a generic but nice hotel only a few minutes from the airport. Next
day at check in we asked if the three of us that were travelling together could get seats together.
No problem, the nice attendant put us up in business class which made the trip through to LHR much
more palatable. All in all, I'd definitely fly with Asiana again, and readily recommend them.

Sydney to Seoul Boeing 777 in Business Class. The service could not be faulted and food was good
with more than you could eat on offer. Drinks flowed freely and top-ups did not need to be asked
for. The seats were pod style, but as others have mentioned, the angle made it difficult for me to
get real quality sleep. The other disappointing aspect of this flight is no AVOD even though their
in-flight magazine advises the B777 has this available. This particular airplane obviously had an
older system so the movie and audio choices were very limited.

MNL-ICN-JFK return Business Class. MNL-ICN and back both used the newer seats, which were very
comfortable. I found myself enjoying sleeping on my side, which I didn't expect on an angled lie-
flat seat. The service was amazing. The staff, cutlery, china, food and wine selection were fit
for First Class of many other airlines. On the longer legs (ICN-JFK), I was looking forward to
getting the newer seats with AVOD, but instead discovered that I got the older aircraft on BOTH
legs. Apparently, I managed to choose flight dates on the only day of the week that they use the
older aircraft (Friday). Do call Asiana before booking your flight dates, to make sure you don't
use the older plane. I still managed to get over 4 hours of sleep on the older seats, which is more
than I can say for the other angled lie-flats I've tried. Service was again amazing. The only
inconsistency was the absence of pre takeoff champagne and toiletry kits on the JFK-ICN leg, which I
found strange. Meals on all legs were superb. The wine selection was quite impressive. However, I
still recommend the Korean meals over the Western meals. The lounge in JFK was decent, with on-order
food service. Food was just decent. No showers. The lounge in ICN was large and quite crowded in
the afternoon, but extremely peaceful in the morning. The shower was perfect - extremely spacious,
with all the amenities a traveler needs. ICN lounge also has slumber rooms, which were very private
and with excellent massage chairs in each one. I used my boarding pass to check out the Singapore
Airlines lounge as well - they didn't have shower rooms or sleeping rooms. Asiana also had many
more internet terminals than the Raffles Class lounge.

JFK–ICN First Class. The First Class Lounge in Terminal 4 of JFK is pretty nice. The service is
excellent with a menu of hot food choices. Internet connection is free in the lounge and worked
well. 747-400 with new offering in first class, equipped with 10 suites. The feeling is very roomy,
although there is some lack of privacy. If you really want private space, try seats 1A or 1K as
these are the farthest apart from one another and privacy is the best. The new First Class is a
suite with a flat bed. The seating position is good, but not great. The table seems a little high
for my tastes when eating or using a laptop, but overall space is excellent. The crew is terrific,
there were 8 of us in the first class cabin and we had 3 flight attendants! The Asiana service is
spectacular. I was offered a sleep suit before take-off. The seat had a small gift and slippers
already there. You also receive a nice gift before the end of the flight. The meals offered were
excellent. Crew was very attentive and you were not left to wonder when you were going to get
service. The new cabin has VOD, although it was not working for the first couple of hours for some
reason. The travel map and flight information is very good and we did take the polar route on this
flight. I highly recommend this First Class flight on Asiana Airlines from JFK to ICN.

ICN-JFK Business. 747-400PAX with new interior Asiana calls it "Transform". Upper deck 2x2 config
with 6 rows of individual pod lie-flat seats with 15" touch screen AVOD. Angled lie-lat doesn't
impress me much since my heavy body tends to slide downward but it's much more comfortable than old
recliners. Inflight service is just perfect. FA's were there when you needed them but never
intrusive. First meal was a choice of Korean bulgogi and vegetable wrap or full course gourmet fish
or beef. The second one was a choice of Korean congee or Italian risotto. The risotto I had was
probably the best I had in my life.

JFK-ICN 747, very clean as always. Great staff, friendly and efficient. Food is fine. Old school B-
Class seats, and no PVOD the main drawbacks. Recline and comfort level are OK, but for a 14Hr night
flight, they dont offer enough pitch or privacy. 777's running flights around Asia have newer 'pod'
seats. Lie flat' would make the perfect option for NY departures to Asia.
