Evening flight Moscow Vnukovo to Yerevan on brand new A320. Cabin clean, leather seats, nice staff working professionally with smile. Nice flight.

Yerevan to Paris CDG was the worst flight ever. Poor quality of food, uncomfortable seats, lack of knowledge of English by crew, etc. First and my last flight with Armavia. Tickets are cheap, however better to pay more and fly with Air France.

Armavia Airlines review by A Maserejian

Paris to Yerevan in September . Flight was on time, an Airbus A320 with beautiful paint scheme, although aircraft not very well kept. Upon entering aircraft was greeted by two female flight attendants while a third one stood at mid cabin assisting guests. There was a small business class section, not very luxurious, although seats appeared wide and looked comfortable. Flight attendants did smile and greet you upon entering. The economy class seats were comfortable as was legroom. Overall cleanliness of aircraft was fair, no entertainment system at all though. No headsets we're given, front pocket seat only contained a laminated 8x10 emergency card, no in-flight magazines either. Before take off, flight attendants offered Russian candies from a round silver tray. This flight was approx 5 hours, departing Paris at 7:10pm, arriving at Yerevan at 2am. Flight crew instruction in Armenian and English were audible and clear. Once in the air, beverage service was given, by one flight attendant only (the other two in the front section carrying on a conversation with each other, in fact at some point they drew the front cabin curtains before beverage service began). Water, limited sodas, and beer were offered only. No ice was offered, drinks were at room temperature. Dinner service followed - a frail blue plastic box secured with an elastic band, containing a very thin plastic coffee cup, packet of sugar, dry roll, butter, napkin with plastic cutlery, hot entree and a cookie. It wasn't quality catering, although the hot entree was a tasty piece of cod fish in a butter sauce, served over a bed of white rice. It was served in an aluminium container. During dinner there was no additional beverage service offered. Once dinner trays we're cleared, coffee and tea service only was offered - including Armenian coffee served from an old tin miniature pot (I found this to be amazingly traditional and charming to any western Armenian or foreign traveler, although I'm sure the native's found being served coffee in this fashion very common). This service was offered only once before this one flight attendant retired for remainder of flight. Don't blame her actually, she really worked hard at getting everyone their service alone. The lavatories we're not very clean but manageable. Experience flying out of Armenia (Yerevan to Paris CDG), again on an Armavia A320 for a 4:55am flight was similar in service. Armavia check-in counter staff and ground crew for Armavia at Zvartnots International airport was not helpful at all, and in fact rather arrogant. As the bus load of passengers rushed to the aircraft steps pushing and shoving each other, the three Armavia ground reps standing on the second stair level leading into aircraft just stood there with vacant looks on their faces, not helping the elderly or women with children. Once inside the aircraft, service was very similar, although all flight attendants (2 female and 1 male) worked the cabin in unison on this particular flight. Overall quite a fair experience aboard this airline which offers quite a lot of flights to Armenia and other neighbouring countries, I think it has allot of potential to grow, with improvement on catering, inflight entertainment, and updated interiors. Cabin crew was pleasant, would fly on this airline again.
