Loveland, CO to Las Vegas, NV. I was impressed with every aspect of this discount airline. We had pre- assigned seats which allowed us to avoid the open seating and only small carry on luggage to avoid bag fees. The service at both airports was very good and the flight itself was on time and without incident. The plane was clean and well maintained. I would recommend this airline to anyone wanting a great flying experience without the hassles of the big Denver airport. One of the best aspects of this small airport and airline was being in the car on the highway heading home while the people in the back of the plane were still deboarding. Pretty cool.

Everyone we dealt with in Lafayette and Las Vegas were pleasant and helpful. I watched people shove oversized bags into bins that should have never been allowed trying to save another buck! I witnessed Flight Attendants being treated very rudely by young loud girls that made the flight bad for all around. Flight staff remained professional. Seats were not the most comfortable. They offered the non-stop flight I was looking for. A nice range of snacks were offered at what we thought was a reasonable price.

My family of 5 flew round trip from Appleton, Wisconsin to Mesa, Arizona (Phoenix area) and back for the holidays - our experience with Allegiant was extremely pleasant. We had a slight (1/2 hour) delay on the way home, but that is the only negative we experienced. We arrived 2 hours before our scheduled flight in both cities, and I would absolutely recommend anyone flying Allegiant do the same, for two reasons. First, because the line got very long very fast shortly after we arrived each time, and second because we received slight boarding priority for early check-in which was helpful. We paid for assigned seating on the way there, which allowed us to check-in online, but there was little advantage in doing so since neither airport had a separate line for baggage check only which meant we waited as long as anyone else. Plus, since we didn't have small children and could split up as needed the additional cost for assigned seats was unnecessary. We could have sat together both flights without assigned seats as the airplane was not full either direction anyway. All staff were very friendly and helpful. But the best thing was the nonstop flights at such great prices.

SCK-LAS-SCK, Dec 11 and Jan 12. Stockton check-in and boarding were fast and efficient. The flight took off on time and landed a few minutes early. When we arrived at Las Vegas airport for our flight home, at least 100 people were in the check-in line - it took us over 50 minutes to reach an agent. Once we had the procedure was fast and efficient. The flight was delayed two hours due to fog in Stockton, gate agent kept us advised at 15 mins intervals. The MD80s were clean and comfortable, seats did not recline, a blessing given the limited leg room in the one-class cabin. We had paid for priority boarding, a minimal fee that was well worth it. We'd also prepaid to check two bags and both arrived with us.

Sandford FL to Owensboro, KY January 2011. We waited 30 minutes upon boarding due to a mechanical problem. 30 minutes into the flight we returned to Sandford and deplaned where we waited 2.5 hours. We re- boarded and arrived at 4 pm instead of 9.05am. The plane was full and many had nothing to eat. They did offer drinks but no snacks. A very uncomfortable and inconvenient flight!

Just came back from a Mesa, AZ and paying $2000 for four tickets and no baggage and no seats. This is not cheap and that is how they treat their passengers. Being one that needed to board early for being on crutches and cast there was no early boarding call. Had to wait for the priority call with everyone in front of me making it more difficult and slow. Flight attendants claim their main responsibility is safety. The cattle call tactics have really taken this airline down in my opinion.

Missoula-Phoenix, Mesa-Missoula. Staff in Montana polite, boarding well managed. Seat does not recline, but was ok. Flight attendants came through twice with average service. Snack packs were lacklustre. Outbound- a bit hectic at check-in. Loud, crowded, no smiles, just hurried and tense. I paid for a seat assignment to avoid the boarding nightmare. Inflight service poor and attendants not enthusiastic with no smiles. Deplaning in Missoula quick and easy.

Las Vegas to Rockford. We arrived 2 hours early for our 6 am flight. Our plane was inoperable so we had to wait for a plane from Phoenix. The plane finally arrived 3 hours later. It took over an hour to load people, because it was a smaller plane with different seating arrangements, so people who paid for specific seats did not have them. Finally we sat at the gate for another 1.5 hrs. We finally took off and had a smooth flight to Rockford. My friend was on the return flight to Las Vegas from Rockford. On his flight they had to make an emergency landing in Grand Junction, they had to wait another 4 hours for a plane from Phoenix to come and pick them up. I guess that is the price you pay for flying with a small company.

Phoenix to Pasco return. Our flight leaving for Pasco was beyond belief. Arriving 2 hours prior to departure the flight was already delayed 2 hrs. It changed numerous times that afternoon and was finally cancelled at 8.30pm. Trying to talk to their Customer Service representative at the Mesa Gateway airport was ridiculous. She was rude, argued with customers and when she didn't satisfy anyone just walked off. When we finally left the next morning the flight crew was decent, nothing special. On our return flight home the flight crew were rude, however we did manage to leave close to on time - only about 30 minutes late and then arrived 30 minutes late. This was my first flight with Allegiant and it will most definitely be my last.

7 hours sat in Monterey waiting to fly to LV. Flight to Monterey was flawless and ahead of schedule! They reported plane trouble in LV for the turnaround, but every other announcement was a different story. On top of that, they wouldn't even comp a sandwich, or soda! At boarding, they boarded elderly/handicapped fist, prepaid seating, then instead of boarding us by check-in numbers 1-10, etc, they had a free for all cattle call.

Phoenix Mesa to Peoria roundtrip. Arrived 2 hrs early in Mesa to find 300 people in line for a boarding pass. After standing in line for over an hour, I learned the flight was delayed by 1 hr. The new takeoff time comes and goes and we are told our plane is still in the air. Finally board 2 hrs after scheduled takeoff. The return flight wasn't much better. No long lines for the boarding pass, but all passengers had to forfeit their carry on luggage, the flight took off an hour late, and it took an hour to get the luggage from the plane to the carousel in the terminal.

On the bright side, the foods aren't horribly expensive and I didn't mind because everything is name brand. First flight was delayed, but it was because of mechanical difficulties.

Bellingham to Oakland, and the boarding process was very disorganized. People who had pre-assigned seat assignments boarded first, then there was a general stampede of everyone else. People were crowded in the aisles from front to back looking for seats and putting luggage into overhead bins. Everything costs extra, from pre- assigned seat assignments to drink/snack service to checking luggage (a whopping $35 per bag). The flight attendants were absent from the cabin except for selling things from their cart or making announcements. The only thing convenient was the direct flight from my home town to the Bay Area but I will not use this airline again.

FAR-LAS return. Outbound flight was decent, flight arrived early. Plane seemed to be a newer MD-80 series. Return flight was delayed at the gate in Las Vegas for about 20 mins, and gate agents had no idea how to handle the crowds of people getting onboard. Allegiant's system of boarding needs a major overhaul. We had purchased seats, and we got them. A couple of honeymooners lost their seats because they did not get onboard in time. The MD-80 from LAS-FAR was ancient and in poor repair compared to the outbound flight.

Las Vegas to Medford. Flight was initially delayed because the front lavatory was not serviced. We left the gate and had mechanical difficulties and returned to the gate after 2.5 hrs and waited 2 hrs later to board a different plane. Another delay for the catering truck to service the plane. After about a 6 hr delay we took off. On the return flight to Las Vegas all was good until we landed. We even landed 15 mins early and have to wait in a holding area for 1 hour for a gate to open up.

Flight home from Las Vegas. Confusion at the ticket counter, people were pulled to the front of the line with no explanation from staff. Our gate was changed and did not match our boarding pass. Allegiant staff did not notify us. In short, Allegiant is a low budget airline with little customer service. A cheap flight, but if anything goes wrong you are on your own.

We were scheduled to fly from LAX to Medford, OR. At the time we were supposed to board, and with no prior notification, we were told that the flight was delayed. The desk was vacated, and a cardboard sign was left there indicating that it might even be later. When we called the Allegiant number, no answer. The person at the desk finally arrived, but consistently told us a different departure time than the ticketing agent. We finally left after being in LAX 8 hrs. We were told we could purchase water for $2.00 a bottle, which was outrageous. Add to that, the staff was surly throughout. This airline is cheap, but needs an overhaul on customer service.

After the passengers were blamed for a plane imbalance we were lied to about being diverted to a different airport, weren't immediately allowed off of the plane. We had to drive 2 hrs home from a different airport. Not worth it at all, especially since they charge a convenience fee, baggage fees, fees to check in online, and then still charge for water on the plane.

I find myself flying this airline frequently because it's by far the cheapest option for the route I fly (Oakland- Bellingham). Their baggage policy is very misleading. They say they allow standard sized carry-ons, but they force you to fit your bag inside a case which is definitely smaller than that. Surprisingly at Oakland airport, they do all of this right beside a United case, which clearly fits all bags. They do this so they can charge you the extra $35. They are awful about updating their flight status only. I once rushed to the airport after being stuck at the border for an hour. I sped the whole way, and had my girlfriend check online and phone the airport. They kept saying "if you don't make it by 11:45, you will not be able to board", all they until about 11:30. We arrived at about 11:44, and found out that the flight would be delayed by 2.5 hours! They surely must have known this, but refused to update the status online.

Wasn't expecting too much from a budget airlines. Received even less. On the flight out, the air conditioning didn't work on the plane. At 85% humidity, everyone was sweating before the door was even shut and the plane pushed back. During the flight, the AC didn't work at all, and the air crew knew about it as they announced it before push back. They still had the nerve to charge for water.

I used to be Allegiant's biggest fan since I fly to Oregon from LA frequently. Just about every time now the plane is at least 3 hrs delayed. My most recent trip, it was 5 hr delay there and 3 hr delay back. Both times little to no information was given, no compensation was given (on the way there a food voucher was offered, we were told we could use it on the plane since it was 20 mins before finally taking off only to be rudely told that we were informed it was only for the airport when we tried to use it. I guess 5 hrs wasn't worth $5) You definitely get what you pay for.

We were delayed from 8:40pm takeoff to 11:40pm takeoff, actually got off the runway at 12:22am and landed back at LAX around 2:22am. I sure wish I would have read the reviews prior to flying. This was my first, and last, trip with Allegiant. Phoenix- Medford and the flight was 3hrs late. There was no information provided about this until a few mins prior to the scheduled departure time, and no one at the counter to answer questions until then. Once on the plane, I found that they had not cleaned or emptied the toilet for quite awhile (probably all day). Any time someone opened the door to use the restroom, this was painfully evident. The plane was the oldest I have been on in years, and the crew was lackadaisical at best. I could understand this on one trip, but when I returned to Phoenix, the plane was over an hour late, the bathroom was again dirty and smelly, and there was no agent at the counter until a few mins prior to the scheduled departure date. The crew asked a traveller to remove his headphones because he was sitting in one of the exit rows, and he refused, so the stewardess simply walked away and left him sitting there with the headphones on.

We like Allegiant and have used them many times to fly to Vegas. Our only complaint was their rudeness regarding "priority boarding". We felt like second class customers because we hadn't paid extra for specific seats and their boarding routine has changed since we last used them so we were not aware of their new boarding routine. I felt they could have explained their new boarding procedure in a more polite friendly manner. No matter what you pay, we are paying customers and the reason they are in the air.

Roundtrip LAS-BIS-LAS. This was my first experience with Allegiant and I honestly have no complaints. Outbound flight to Bismark was spot on time and the return flight about 20 mins late because of a late arrival in BIS and weather. The only significant delay was getting baggage on return to Las Vegas which probably was not the airline's fault. The MD-80s on both segments were obviously older and well worn but clean and legroom was adequate for a 2 hour flight if not spectacular (I'm 6-0). Ground and air staff were all pleasant and professional. We did pay extra for seat assignments so that my girlfriend and I could be sure to sit together on the 2x side of the planes. Yes they charge extra for everything but that is obvious when you purchase your tickets and shouldn't be a surprise. For nonstop flights over a holiday weekend the cost of around $300 each including checked bags was a bargain. The only other options to BIS, United and Delta, would have been $200 more each (including the same checked bag fees) with connecting flights and 5 to 7 hrs travel time, not 2 hrs 10 mins. I'd be happy to fly Allegiant again to out of the way places without other direct service from LAS.

Peoria, IL to St Pete, FL. Have taken this same roundtrip flight for the past 5 yrs (and a flight to Vegas in between). Our flight down to Florida this year was great, plane on time leaving and even arrived about 10 mins early. When we arrived at the Allegiant ticket counter for our return flight, was told that two of our carry-on bags were too large and we would have to pay to check them. Keep in mind that these were the same bags that we have used for the past 5 yrs on Allegiant flights! Needless to say, there was no arguing and we ended up paying $70.00 at the ticket counter to check our bags. Probably will not fly with Allegiant for next years vacation, since once you rack up all the charges, you could probably fly First Cass with another carrier.

I realize that this airline has very low rates compared to other airlines, but this airline lacks prompt departure times, proper working planes, and good customer service. I wish that spending less did not mean playing a game of roulette when you try to travel with this airline. Every time I try to travel with this airline the plane is broken, the flight crew doesn't show up, or the plane is running late. Pretty much this airline manages to do everything other airlines try to avoid in order to be a reputable company. Right now I am sitting among a plane full of disgruntled passengers at the gate waiting to board a flight over 1 hr late.

I love flying Allegiant! I am not a picky person and I don't complain unless it is necessary. The prices are great and if you pay attention you won't get charged all the extra fees. You have the option to uncheck seat selection and other charges, you just have to pay attention! They fly to smaller airports which I love, they are less crowded and it is so much easier to find your way around! Also, they do there best to leave on time, most of the time we leave before departure time.

My daughter flew from Toledo-St Pete. Trip down was great, return was a nightmare. Her flight was to take off at 3.00pm took off at 6.00pm, turned around back to airport because the plane lost radar. Got them another plane that took off at 9.00pm and got in at 11.16pm and had to wait around forever for luggage. She had also been injured while here so she was travelling with 2 kids and hand in cast. My granddaughter was to fly last night from Youngstown-St Pete, flight was to take off at 8.00pm, after all evening of listening to delays her flight supposedly will take off today at 2.00pm. I have my grandson and nephew travelling at the end of the month and they will not be flying Allegiant Air. Which is sad because it really is so convenient but with all the extra fees and delays - it's just not worth the aggravation.

BLI-SAN return. This was my 2nd flight with Allegiant out of BLI 1st time to SAN. I opted out of 'priority boarding' but paid a premium for 'preferred' seat selection (ie. supposedly better seat choices than the other paid selections). Travelling with one other person, I wanted the side of the plane with just two seats. Arrived at BLI (from BC) well in advance of boarding, checked in and through security fairly quickly. It's at the boarding gate that Allegiant falls apart. BLI was particularly chaotic, seating in no particular order (ie by rows) those who had priority boarding, followed by those who had pre-paid for seats. The boarding was supposedly going to be in 'groups of 10' but it was one giant line-up with no semblance of order. Upon boarding, we found someone in one of our seats. He moved as soon as I asked him. After the gong-show boarding of the rest of the passengers, all trying to jam oversized luggage into the overhead bins nowhere near their seats, the plane departed on time. There are no free beverages or snacks of any type on Allegiant and no hot beverages offered on this particular flight. The cart service was offered twice during the flight, and the FAs were all pleasant and efficient. On the return flight from SAN, again check-in was fairly quick, and there are a lot more amenities. At the gate, it seemed as if there was an attempt for orderly boarding, clearly they don't check boarding passes because when we boarded and went to our seats in row 11, both were occupied by people who had not pre-paid for seat selection, and were told by a FA 'just sit there'. The entire boarding process is chaotic and that's being generous. FAs were friendly and the cart service offered twice. I would fly Allegiant again, as the BLI airport is quite convenient even for cross-border travellers. I would caution anyone planning to use them to avoid the pitfalls of paying for the priority boarding and seat selection, along with 'trip flex' if you don't really want to have those options. The plane was an MD80, could have been cleaner, no IFE or reclining seats, but for a short flight of 2.5 hrs, it was ok. For anyone considering Allegiant, just be prepared for boarding hassles and 'no frills'. I would use them again. Prices are better than anything I could get flying out of YVR.

Whatever "price" they are advertising, tack on an additional $100-$150 per ticket in frivolous charges and fees such as "seat selection." You have to pay additional for your seat on a plane. Last I checked, a plane ticket meant you had somewhere to sit. An advertised "cheap" fare of $34 will end up well over $100, not including the check-in bags, priority seating and premium seating.

Plattsburgh/Fort Lauderdale. Planes a little dirty (if there is a flight before) but not unbearable. Seats and leg room are about average. Flight crew was quite friendly and polite. Only small negative was that the plane was about 20 minutes leaving because of the open seating policy which was quite disorganized and chaotic. I would recommend this airline and looking forward to flying again.

I just flew from Tampa to Allentown, PA. I have also flown Tampa to Greenville, SC several times. They specialize in vacation junkets and advertise hotels packages to death. A good way to save money if you find it convenient to fly to small airports and your schedule allows limited options. Also, there are extra charges for seat assignments and bags, so you have to be careful not to run up the fees. Other than that, the planes are adequate, staff is good, and planes are almost always on time. The baggage recovery is slow, so plan on a 30 minute wait to get your bag. Don't bother to call them, the phone lines are hopeless. Just book online if the flight is going your way and you want to save money. All flights are non-stop and none go to hubs.

We have flown Allegiant Air numerous times from Grand Island NE to Mesa AZ. I have no complaints about price, staff, flights, or airports. It is very convenient to get to our homes in NE and AZ. The only complaint I have is that in the 2 years that we have been flying with them, the delays have increased on every flight. There must be a better way to schedule the planes so that their passengers are not sitting in the airport or on the plane for hours. The only ones who receive a timely flight are the ones flying at 7 am. By the time we expect our plane at 8 pm, we are 2-6 hours late leaving. We are told either that it is because of mechanical problems or that the plane we are expecting was late getting to the previous destination. We are retired, so dates and times aren't that important, I just wish there was some way to let us know the plane was late and let us stay home longer instead of waiting so long at the airport. Even if you use their flight tracker, and know the plane will be late, the departure airport wants you there at the original departure time.

Mesa to Medford. After arriving at the airport and checking in, we were told the flight would be delayed by 3 hrs. We made ourselves comfortable with food and drink at the restaurant and bar. Three hours went by and no plane. In the meantime, a flight to Grand Island was delayed even longer than our flight, with the only info that they would be updated with info when they would have a time when they would be able to depart. A plane came after about 4 hrs and the Grand Island folks were put on it and left. There was no explanation as to where our plane was - there was no one to talk to in the terminal. We were finally told that they were flying in a plane from Las Vegas. We took off about 5.5 hours late. When we got on the plane, they didn't even offer us water or soda at no cost for the inconvenience! At this time, I don't know what the airline can do to make us repeat customers. Having griped about delay, I will say the flight was excellent, the seats were great as was the crew.

We recently flew Allegiant from Phoenix/Mesa to Pasco, WA. On the outbound flight, my wife was allowed to carry her bag on board and it fit normally into the overhead bin. On the the return flight, my wife was told her bag was too large and we were forced to pay their $35 bag check fee. I have written twice to Allegiant to address my concern over their inconsistent bag policy. I have received no reply. On another note, this airline has three classifications of boarding passengers. Priority boarding with assigned seating, assigned seating, and open seating. This seems take longer to board because each group is given about 10 minutes. If you select priority boarding or assigned seating, don't be late or an open seater will take your seat. Their were numerous groups on each flight that chose open seating, including parents with small children, so you had flight attendants trying to talk people already seated into changing seats. Bottom line, this airline is unprofessional. I would only fly them again if they are the only carrier flying where I need to go.

Great trip on Allegiant from Greensboro to St. Petersburg round trip. Crew on both flights were great. Planes arrived early in both directions. Using St Petersburg airport is great. It is small and you are out in a breeze. My only complaint is that the planes sometimes have a bunch of debris on the floor if you fly the plane late in the day as I did. But for the price, it is worth it.

Beware of the $25.98 trip flex fee! This fee is not listed in your trip summary and the only time you see this fee is when you get your confirmation after you card is already charged. It is a pre-populated box which you must uncheck if you do not want it. Don't bother calling customer service if you have any issues. They don't know what customer service is. If you are not satisfied with the customer service rep don't ask to speak to a supervisor because their policy is not to transfer calls to a supervisor.

As others have mentioned, this is a no-frills airline - although, the frills are available at a price. I flew Peoria to PHX-Mesa Gateway. My plane was late getting into Peoria by about 30 mins - no big deal. The only add-on fee I purchased was preferred seating as I'm a big guy and could not imagine sitting in a middle seat for over 3 hours. A well spent $20.00. The drinks and snacks aren't free but they are available throughout the flight. The seats are a bit narrow for a guy like me and they don't recline which got to be a bit uncomfortable by the end of the trip but it wasn't terrible. As for the staff/crew, everyone I had contact with was pleasant, helpful and friendly as well as professional. The convenient thing about Allegiant for me was the direct flight into an airport that's only 5 mins from my house as opposed to flying into PHX which is much further and would have required a flight with a 1 stop. I hadn't flown Allegiant prior to this flight but friends and relatives had and the info I got from them prepared me for what to expect. Know what to expect when choosing Allegiant and you won't have any surprises - good or bad.

Fargo to Vegas last weekend and our flights there and back were flawless. We got a great package deal, the staff was friendly and you can't beat a non-stop flight. Everybody complains about all the extras that you have to pay for, but I thought the seat selection was worth it and we paid for the shuttle to the hotel and it was good too. The price of snacks and drinks is very reasonable and if you don't want to pay then bring your own.

Round trip from Bellingham to Long Beach. This is a great option for anyone living in British Columbia as long as you don't mind delayed flights. The flight is non-stop and it is cheaper than flying out from Canada. My husband was really upset with the delays but I wasn't. I don't mind waiting in the airport. We don't fly often but I imagine this happens a lot. On our departure flight everyone boarded the plane to only find out 30 minutes later that there was a until 15-20 minutes after the scheduled arrival of the inbound flight. When the aircraft did finally arrive, the ground/airport crew in Amarillo were not efficient in getting the aircraft turned. Onboard the flight attendant was friendly.

SMX-LAS. Santa Maria airport is one of the most convenient I have flown through. Free parking, the only airport in the world where I have found this. At security I forgot that still had an expensive shave gel in my carry on bag and the security agent suggested I went back and left it in my car instead of throwing it away as would have been the case at other airports. MD80 aircraft was old but did the job. Flight left on time and landed on time. Both flight attendants were visible in the cabin throughout. As the destination was Vegas could sense the holiday mood on board. Drinks and snacks had to be purchased but on a short flight I could see not many people took this option. The only issue with Allegiant was that made the booking on- line and spotted it error, eventually got through to the call centre and it cost $50 to make the minor correction.

Have flown many times on Alligiant to FLL. Upside, it is cheap for me, I take no luggage, do not select seats Downside, you must go through the ticket counter (no pre printing boarding passes), service is terrible, planes are dirty, rarely on time, have waited hours and hours for flights that never leave then they give you a 50 voucher and you wait till next day to leave, no one is honest in telling you that you are not flying out that day they just let everyone sit there, not an airline for anyone who actually has to be somewhere at a certain point in time.

The first view of the price for flights is great ($109 one way), then you go to book and they add all the fees : choose a seat fee, claim baggage fee, convenience fee, which is a fee to book online and not at the airport. I live 100 miles from the airport, so had no choice. My ticket ended up $164. I booked a return flight on United for $109 including taxes and fees. I have learned my lesson and will never fly Allegiant ever again.

We have flown from Great Falls, Montana to Vegas a few times and from Missoula to LAX just a few weeks ago. It cost us $780 for 4 people to fly to LAX return. This included 2 checked bags and seat assignments. Will not pay for seat assignments again. The comments I read about it really not being much cheaper with all the added fees is sure not true in our area. Would easily be double that. Allegiant is not perfect but it has been ok for us. The flight- hotel deals into Vegas have been really reasonable if you can be flexible with your travel dates. Don't expect it to be on time. Bring water and snacks on the plane. Don't pay for things like priority boarding or seat assignments. Be two hours early checking in. Be reasonable with your carry on. Allegiant is not the airline to use if you have firm plans immediately after you are to arrive. Will definitely fly with them again and are already looking forward to our Vegas trip next year.

I have been commuting between Bellingham and Las Vegas two to three times a month for the last year - with occasional side trips to Oakland. Staff and service are fine. Prices vary considerably, depending upon the day and hour. I always take out the $15 trip insurance, that enables you to reschedule your flights at no additional fee (just pay the difference). Flights early in the day are mostly on time, but flights late in the day are often an hour or two late. Only real complaint is their call center is useless. They do not even give you the option of waiting for half an hour on the phone for an operator - you just get a recorded message saying that they are overloaded and to call back.
