MNL-LEG-MNL this February 2013. LGP-MNL leg delayed for 1 hr for safety reason due to bad weather at
origin. First leg was on Airphil while the second was with PAL. Both offered snacks on board. Planes new and
FAs friendly and granted my nephew's request to be seated near the window. Very good value for money.

Manila - Borocay - Kalibo - Borocay, Economy class. Flight out 45 mins late, quite smooth, very busy. Nice
crew but check in a mess. Flight diverted on return. Bussed to Kalibo, after frantic and chaotic checking. All
Airphil flights delayed, Cebu Pacific ok. Bus trip actually nice. Check-in at Kalibo a zoo. Flight lovely, quiet
and smooth, new plane, nice crew. Luckily we had no onward connections.

Manila - Puerta Princesa. I'm quite a nervous flyer, but was pleasantly surprised. Smooth flight and a free
snack and drink on this budget airline. New(ish) plane and clean cabin. For US$42, a bargain.

One of the worst airline experiences I've had. The outbound flight was first delayed for 3 hours, and it was
only announced at the time of departure. It was due to aircraft servicing, so they surely could have
approximated the amount of time to do the servicing. We were finally asked to board using a bus and were
kept in it for 45 minutes, only to find out that we were going to be brought back to the terminal due to
additional servicing! We were left waiting for another 3 hours, and were never told on when we could finally
leave. None of us could tell the greeters at our destination what time we would arrive. Airphil Express just
kept saying they don't know when it would be done. So that's just for the outbound flight! 6 hour delay, no
update on when we could leave, kept in a bus for 45 minutes without knowing what would happen to us.
Inbound flight was delayed for 1 hour and when we finally got boarded, they double-booked 5 seats. The 5
passengers who couldn't take their "assigned" seats did not want to give up their seats, and the airline's
solution was to ask for 5 more volunteers to give up and stay at the place of origin (they already got a few
volunteers at the check in counter before boarding). After 45 minutes of trying to find volunteers, the airline
threatened to ground the whole flight and everyone would have to stay if there were no volunteers. Finally,
some volunteered to be offloaded.

My wife and I have just completed 3 flights with Airphil Express over the past month. One flight was an hour
late departing Manila, the others were on time and all ok. I would fly with them again.

Domestic flights MNL-TAG and LEG-MNL. Aircraft's quite new, arrived on time, staff fairly good. The ridiculous
disadvantage of Airphil Express is that proclaimed web check-in does not works. You get your boarding pass
printed at home but as you go to security check, it appears that this kind of boarding pass is not valid so you
have go to check-in counter and get your "real" boarding pass there.

I flew on Sep 3, after being originally scheduled to fly from Cebu to Manila on Philippine Airlines. The AirPhil
flight was completely full, and departed on time, despite our very late boarding, about 5 mins before
scheduled departure (because we were transferred from the PAL flight). On the positive - the flight
attendants were tidy and efficient in their work, and the aircraft, an Airbus A320 seemed fairly new and was
also tidy and well-presented. No problems I was seated in seat 2D, at the front of the plane, the entire row 1
was occupied by other AirPhil crew. I had a significant amount of difficulty with the seats onboard, the seats
in front of you are very close. I am 192cm tall and I have one bad leg that prevents me from putting my foot
on the floor in front of the seat, and upon arrival in Manila, I had to apologise to the woman in seat 1D, who
had my knees firmly jammed into her kidneys for the whole flight. This wasn't comfortable for me, and I
doubt it was comfortable for her. I generally don't fly with budget airlines because of this. Budget airlines are
budget because they jam as many seats in as they can, and I don't fit into these seats.

Manila to Catalan. Quick check in, we had booked via Philippine airlines but might as well have booked direct.
Sat in exit row, prop plane. All fine, good service. On return, we were early at Caticlan so got on earlier flight.
Bumpy at one point, think its common here. Terminal 3 nice both ways, much better than T1. Friendly and
capable staff.

Manila to Caticlan flight - delayed an hour. No problem with my return flight because it was on time. The rest
of my flights with them had been wonderful because I've encountered no delays or cancellations. Staff are
kind and approachable. Planes are comfortable and new.

Clark-Cebu, July 22. Cancelled three weeks before the flight, due to operational requirements. The new
schedule was 24 hours later, and we had to check in a hotel. I've spoken to friends traveling in the
Philippines, who had the same experience. One guy had all 6 flights delayed or cancelled. This was my
second. In comparison, I have used Cebu Pacific 20 times, and only one time been delayed (one hour).

MNL-CEB-DVO-MNL recently and all flights were reasonable. Some crew clearly new and on-the-job but a
pleasant persona and seemed engaged. Flight out of Manila a little delayed but other 2 flights were pretty
much on time. Food still limited. Seats fine for a short flight. Importantly a cheap ticket. Have flown them
a few times now and all in all its value for money. You get where you're going and for a good price.
Domestic airports in the Philippines really need a makeover though.

Delays both to MPH from MNL and going from MPH to MNL. Return flight delayed 2 hours and ultimately
caused us to miss our connection to NRT. Staff routinely denied there was more delay than already
announced. They announced delays at 30 minute increments. We could have made alternate arrangements to
get to our connection on time. To make matters worse, they made no attempt to help us expedite our arrival.
The only thing they did was to move our bags closer to the door so that baggage handlers would pick them
out first. Zero assistance on the ground and to cap things off, staff at Caticlan (MPH) was rude, they tried at
every step of the way to prevent us from knowing the true status of the flight.

Booked to Caticlan. Our full trip was Hong Kong to Boracay, two flights of less than 3 hrs in total, a journey
of less than 8 hrs door to door - yet it took 16 hrs there and 21 back. Both there and back all flights via
Caticlan were cancelled and everyone re-routed and bussed via Kalibo. Communication during the delays was
at best confused, at worst entirely misleading. Staff drifted from excuses of weather, to air traffic, to
mechanical failure, to one member of staff explaining this was what we should expect for flying a 'low cost
airline'. Airphil costs us an additional £1000 in the end to get home, a day late.

Hong Kong-Cebu return. Both flights were very good. On time, smooth and comfortable enough for the price
and distance. Air hostesses were always polite and smiling and would stop to chat with children. Food was
buy onboard and the selection could do with more variety other than hot pot noodles, but small quibble. We
would certainly fly this airline again.

PPS-MNL-PPS round trip economy. Cost USD24. 1 hr delay outbound - informed at check-in. Actual arrival 1hr
40mins late, due to "Special Operations" at MNL. Inbound, pushed back from stand 15 mins early, then
waited 40 mins for a take-off slot. Eventual arrival at PPS just 10 mins late. Quite comfortable seats on the
AirPhil Express A320, better than Cebu Pacific, but would not want to spend 3 hrs in either. Flight attendants
friendly and helpful, communication from the Flight Deck excellent.

MNL-SUG return. Planes on time. Looked to be well maintained. NAIA Terminal 3 a godsend compared to the
other two. Read the baggage rules carefully, they will charge you for being even a little over 15 kilos. Had
front seat by the door, as regular seats are very tight for anyone over 5'10". No inflight entertainment and
they had snacks/water for purchase only.

Airphil Express may offer cheap fares, but erratic departures and cancelled flights mean added costs that defeat
the purpose of flying with them. Virtually all my flights have departed late (one by almost an hour with no
explanations or apologies) except for one which they strangely left about 20min early. Even worse is when they
cancel a flight without compensating stranded passengers, and then refuse to issue an explanation for the cause of
the delay! So not only are they not content with inconveniencing their passengers, they want you to suffer
financially too by preventing you from submitting an insurance claim for travel delay! It also raises the question
too whether there are other troubles facing the airline, especially since you are told unofficially by staff that
safety concerns were the real reason for the delay, but that the company's lawyers refuse to allow anything in
writing about this. So you can't help but wonder whether you should be worried about encountering just erratic
departures and poor customer service when flying on Airphil Express, or something far more serious still.

MNL-TAG-MNL. We booked via online booking and it was the cheapest fare during the peak season. When we
arrived at check-in there was some problems with the computer but it was fixed within 10-15 mins. Quick check-in
if it wasn't for their faulty computer at the time. Both flights were on time. Smooth flight overall with comfortable
seats and spacious considering it's a low-cost.

MNL-SIN-MNL. Nothing special with the service, what could you expect on a low-cost carrier. Great flight experience
in their new A320. Airport experience from check-in to immigration to airport security and boarding in MNL Terminal
3 is not a problem. Same with SIN Changi's Terminal 2. They are the only LCC that operates in Changi's Terminal 2
and it was a bonus. Two-thumbs up for that.

Flights fine, after sales service terrible. Problem with the website led to a duplicate booking, several calls in excess
of 30 minutes ended up going nowhere, had to go to airport in person. Was given a few forms to fill in and the
refund would be returned within 1 month to the credit card. More than 2 months later and no refund. A trip to the
airport is required to get an answer, luckily it's only 15 mins down the road.

Singapore-Manila vv and domestic to Puerto Princessa. All flights on new A320 and seats seemed
more spacious and comfortable than other low cost carriers in the region. Crew attentive and
pleasant. Flights on time. Onboard selection needs improvement but all in all a satisfied
customer. T3 at Manila a little sparse but better than T1 or T2 from previous experiences.

SIN-MNL-SIN. A320 has good legroom (seated in 6A and 8C). The tickets are cheap, online
booking easy, and not much hidden charges (baggage is free). The fact that it uses Terminal 2
in Changi is an added value. MNL-SIN was 30 minutes delayed - no announcement or apologies
from the ground staff.

MNL-MPH. Check-in at Terminal 3 fast with a smiling agent at the counter. Boarding on time,
two female FA on this flight and attentive to passengers request. The touchdown was smooth and
sure will ride again with them soon.
