Air Littoral Star Ranking

Barcelona from Nice. I had a Spanair ticket but was not aware of the codeshare,
so I found myself on an Air Littoral plane. Both flights on time, drinks and nuts on board,
quite old plane. Nothing great. If I can give a tip to the passengers travelling between BCN and NCE, choose Iberia. I know Iberia
is not excellent, but their flight is operated by Air Nostrum, and the service is excellent. An "all
business class" kind of service. Much better than Air Littoral (and Spanair). No hesitation between
the two choices.

I have been using this airline 4 to 8 times a year in the past 5 years and despite their up and down
fortunes (they were linked to Lufthansa, then to the Swissair Qualiflyer alliance, finally being
again stand alone but with a broad series of relationships with other similarly sized airlines) they
are still able to provide a more than acceptable product. True the champagne they used to serve to
passengers up to a few months ago has gone, but their single class stylish economy is more than
acceptable if your flight length is an average 50 to 60 minutes. You really do not a full meal
service when flying between Rome and Nice, but some Provencal treats add a nice personal touch.
Their Nice hub is very good for transfers between a good number of secondary destinations in France
for travellers arriving from Italy (Rome, Venice, Florence and Naples). Their personnel, either on
the ground or in flight, is always very pleasant and if only one thing needs to be improved a little
bit, well that is their punctuality record.
