Travelled from Singapore, from check-in onwards things could have been better, with 4 of us travelling together we were given seats in different parts of aircraft although 2 seats next to us were vacant. On board service was below average, the crew vanished after breakfast for next 2 hrs with a call for water being attended after 25 min. Next round of refreshment served was warm coke/mountain dew. Today's flight was a sad experience.

Air India has given me the most incompetent and down-right rude service I have ever received with any airline. They cancelled my ticket without any notice, refused to exchange it for another flight, and were completely disorganized in managing the strike in general. After that they refused to help me book a bus or hotel. I found myself alone and unprepared in Delhi (a dangerous city for females travelling alone). As a result I spent over 10 hours in the airport being redirected to various desks before giving up in frustration and buying a new ticket from Kingfisher. From Kingfisher I had a ticket to my destination within 5 minutes. The service got even worse when I tried to get a refund for the ticket which Air India had cancelled. Agents are rude, disorganized, and unhelpful. I would suggest avoiding this airline, especially where connecting flights are concerned.

Toronto-Delhi-Bombay. We had to do immigration in Bombay due to international flight. Air India gave us domestic boarding pass at Delhi Airport on our connect flight to Bombay. I spent 3.5hrs in immigration telling them It was not my mistake. I never left Delhi Airport, I was in transit. Airline transfer my luggage. Bombay immigration officer took photocopy of my passport and e-ticket and told me that this is a common problem with Air India. At Toronto airport same thing happen to me when I ask for my connecting flight's boarding pass.

Delhi-Hong Kong. Fast check in, provided with an exit row seat which was good as I am quite tall. Moderately full flight and the staff were excellent. The food was surprisingly good and the in flight entertainment was better than expected. Overall I was pleasantly surprised.

Kol-Bangalore, it took off on time and even check in and boarding was fine. Then a horrible looking bus with no A/C made it very disappointing. Kolkata is humid and hot during May, June normally. Bangalore in comparison is much cooler but we got BMTC buses Volvo which were clean and A/C. Food was also very hot and tasty but the cleanliness was not up to the mark.

ICN-HKG return. ICN-HKG: check in took a long time, causing a long queue, fight was delayed for 3 hrs. Cabin was a bit dirty, FAs weren't attentive, disappeared, and even allowed passenger to go to the toilet just a few mins after takeoff when the seat belt sign still on. Foot-rest happened to be broken, no inflight magazine, low quality headset. Seat and recline OK, food OK, toilet OK. HKG-ICN, check in was quick and no delay. Cabin was a big mess as glasses, blankets and headsets from previous flight passengers weren't picked up from the seats. I asked for a new headset to a FA but she said there were none left, and it's very boring to fly without any entertainment. However, seat and recline were comfortable, foot-rest OK, food excellent, and great FAs! They were friendly and attentive, and always smiled while talking to the passengers. They offered a glass of water to the passengers before takeoff and landing.

I travelled on Chicago-Frankfurt-Delhi Sector on B777-300ER. A very comfortable ride to Delhi. Check-in was easy and very quick. The seats were very comfortable with a good recline. I personally found interior ambience a little too loud/bright, but the overall comfort was nice during the night flight. The entertainment system was pretty good with a nice selection of Hollywood films. Some of the Hindi films were a little outdated, but had good Hindi classic selection. The only thing I missed was the camera which was disabled on my aircraft due to some 'technical difficulty'. Air India did not let me out of the aircraft with an empty stomach. Food quality and taste was excellent! They should improve upon their beverage selection. The flight stewards were extremely courteous and helpful. The new Air India is definitely more than value for money!

LAX-DEL. Not the greatest. Delays, delays, delays. We were stuck waiting in the airport for 2 hrs because of flight delays. Luckily we didn't have a connecting flight otherwise we'd have missed that! Bathrooms onboard weren't clean, inflight entertainment was lacking. Food was pretty good if you enjoy Indian food.

USA to Hyderabad, the flight stopped at Mumbai. Passengers need to do customs clearance sometimes at Mumbai and sometimes at Hyderabad. Customs clearance location is determined by the flight you are travelling - which you don't know while booking the tickets. It does not make sense to do customs clearance at Mumbai if one has to go to Hyderabad which is also an international airport. Customs clearance at Mumbai creates lot of problems because you need to collect your baggage, do customs clearance and then you have to run to a different terminal. If your first flight (USA to Mumbai) gets delayed for some reason, then you are in big trouble, you might need to wait until next day and they don't even provide hotel accommodation. Be careful if you are booking with Air India. It is the worst airline in many ways. You would not get correct assistance, information from the staff and their customer service is very bad.

Delhi-Bangkok, the crew did not have any manners, as they even refused to serve drinking water in hot weather. They were ignoring request and do not attend to your call. Most of the time the crew looks frustrated, and show their anger on passengers.

JFK-BOM. Good value for money, decent product. Crew not to be seen for most part but served food and drinks. IFE was okay, seats could be better.

Frankfurt - Delhi – Kathmandu return. Would not fly Air India again. Flight attendants abrupt and pretty much disappeared for most of the flight, even allowing people to get up from their seats while the plane is moving on the tarmac. FRA-DEL (overnight flight), it was unclear if the in-flight entertainment system was not working or shut off. Overhead reading lights were shut off and could not be used. Although we got through the Transit Counter in DEL on the way to/from KAT without too much waiting, there was confusion and minor chaos. Also felt hesitant about the safety standards of the planes. Our checked baggage did not get lost, and flights were on time. DEL-KAT was cancelled due to a pilot strike : AI managed to get us onto a Jet Airways plane (much better!) to KAT departing earlier that the scheduled AI plane.

Delhi to JFK. The new Delhi airport is a huge improvement over the old one, but they still have problems. For a second time this year, they had trouble processing my passport at the check-in, which took an inordinate amount of time. Once through the security the Air India lounge is just a bar where one can get a limited selection of snacks and drinks with the invitation card. It was hot as hell in there and there's not even screen to monitor the flight departure status, which is annoying when the distance to your gate is long. I reached my flight during the final call, which didn't mean that we were anywhere close to departing. Instead, we waited for connecting passengers from two domestic flights, which were delayed. This may have been due to the continuing Air India pilots strike, but why rush us onboard when we had to sit for 2 hours in the cabin before departing? Our departure time was supposed to be 0020, but we actually took off around 0230. The flight was nice and comfortable, service excellent and the seat comfort is good. The business class seats recline to a flat bed. The only complaint I have is regarding the selection of films. While there's an ample collection of Bollywood movies, there were only 6 second rate new English language films and 2 classics - they were the same as on the flight from New York to Delhi I had taken earlier.

LHR-BOM-BLR. At LHR the check-in people refused to through check to BLR. Asked to clear customs at Mumbai and check-in again for BLR. At Mumbai nobody had a clue what needs to be done after customs clearance. Missed the BLR flight. Staff re-booked for the next flight which was 10 hrs later. Spent the night in the departure lounge at Mumbai with no food or water. In the morning we were asked to go to domestic terminal with all the luggage. At the domestic terminal we were informed that we have not been booked in the flight - but just flight timings have been printed by the AI staff at international terminal. Stood in queue to rebook. Finally made it to BLR, after 10 hrs.

DEL-BOM-IXE, check in was in complete chaos at 5 in the morning. Check in staff slow and unhelpful. Plane was hotter than the terminal as the auxiliary engine had not been started, no air-conditioning till the plane pushed off. The cleanliness of the aircraft left much to be desired. IFE was pathetic and only 1 hindi movie available, no magazine, though food turned out to be nice. Transit at Mumbai a breeze with only 2 airlines sharing a huge terminal. BOM-IXE (Mangalore) flight was nearly empty but crew nice, even though the food was terrible. Short flight hence no IFE, but a selection of newspapers and magazines were on offer. Comfortable seats and the aircraft was clean.

London Heathrow via Mumbai to Bangkok. The first part was excellent, lots of free seats, and plane appeared to have better leg room. The attendants were adequate although abrupt. The food was excellent if you like spicy food. The fun started in Mumbai, on the smaller plane to transit to Bangkok. The Security checks were madness and chaotic and the rudeness of the staff was unbelievabl . The bus that was arranged to take everyone on the next journey was inadequate and everyone was shoved on like cattle, and to make matter worse the packed bus was stationary without direction for a long extended period quite distressing for a lot of the older passengers. Inflight entertainment was good.
