LHR-Osaka and Tokyo Haneda-Heathrow return. Outbound an A330 with the older interior - seats weren't that
comfortable, particularly due to the material used and was hard to sleep on the night flight. The IFE I didn't
use but the controls seemed to be the older system. Cabin crew weren't always smiling but did their job well,
and the food better than expected. Connecting to Osaka was on a 737 and the seats a lot more comfortable,
flight crew friendlier, and you got an evening meal for a 2.5 hour flight. Return flight on A321, same comfort
as 737, served a decent breakfast, flight crew friendly. Long-haul to Heathrow was again on an A330 with the
new interior - seats much more comfortable and new IFE system - good film selection, mainly Chinese ones.
Flight crew again friendly and served lunch and dinner. All flights involved many drink runs, even during the
night when they came round with water. For the price paid it is cost-efficient, the service out-does BA and
Virgin. Any delays in departing were made up for in the air and all flights arrived either early or on time.

For a long haul flight (Frankfurt-Beijing) the inflight entertainment was very poor. There were just a main screen
with cartoons in front of the middle row. The seats, food and beverages were okay, not good. At Beijing Airport,
where I needed to change the airport, the staff were friendly. But on the flight they were just ok.

Flew in September / October Sydney to Rome return. All flights left on time, meals were OK, cabin service OK and
IFE OK. Seat quality OK. All in all an OK trip and way cheaper than other airlines. Would fly again for the right
price.

FRA-PEK-FRA on A330. Seat standard, IFE again not working on FRA-PEK, four flights with this airline and on 3
flights the IFE did not work at my seat. Very limited english skills from cabin crew, and indifferent with poor
service skills. Food medium quality with two choices. Presentation poor. Flights on time. Air China is far away
from being the same level as some other Star Alliance members.

Entertainment was not working efficiently and not much was done about it - response was adequate to a 'bad luck'
reply. Food served on flight to China was okay but it was a long time between meals! There are only two breakfast
choices and if you don't like Chinese breakfast you don't get anything. Wine was poured out of a plastic cup, not a
bottle. Toilets were dirty.

Meal portions were too small for a long 11 hr flight from Beijing to Los Angeles. The Boeing 747 was old, the seats
still has the old ashtray in them. The onboard entertainment was non visible, there was a huge screen somewhere
in front but not visible from most seats. They served duck onboard which I love but other European travelers
weren't so keen on. It's cheap to fly but the planes are old.

Sydney-Beijing-Busan return. On outward trip, cabin staff generally unhelpful and didn't smile. Toilets smelt
unpleasant. Return trip was more friendly and toilets better. New aircraft, seats and legroom okay. English
speaking is moderate with some announcements that are difficult to understand. On outward journey only 6 video
selections available on entertainment system, on return, the system worked differently and there was a wider
range, but at times it overloaded and stopped working. Meals okay, service delivery was sometimes erratic.

PEK-SIN. Rebooked the ticket due to CA's delayed flight to HKG. It was supposed to be PEK-HKG-CGK but they
rebooked my ticket without any additional cost. 767 plane is pretty old. FA's service is decent but English seems to
be a problem. The meal was a choice of Chicken or Seafood Rice and the quality of the food is quite good. I slept
after the meal service until landing, however If you're short, you will slide down if the seat is reclined.

SYD-BEI-LHR return. The planes where clean, leg room was ok, the PTV screens had intermittent faults and a very
small choice of entertainment. Food was basic but edible, beer was warm, flight attendants where professional but
some unfriendly. The planes where hot and stuffy with no personal air conditioning. Cheap but not very cheerful.

SYD-PEK. Air NZ lounge at SYD airport with great selection of wines, overnight flight - while not full flat beds the
Business Class seats provided a reasonable sleep. Food and beverage of good quality, the cabin crew provided a
very gentle and attentive service delivery - all in all an enjoyable experience.

DXB-PEK efficient check-in at Dubai. Once onboard decent legroom, but lack of personal TV's on the 7hr 30 mins
full flight. Flight attendants were courteous but not necessarily going out their way to accommodate customer
needs. Food average and poorly presented, overall good value for money but it lacked finesse and presentation.

Seoul-NYC via Beijing. My experience wasn't great, no trouble with check-in and extended layover in Beijing at no
extra cost. Biggest complaints was that the flight didn't have individual screens and 50% miles accrued with a Star
Alliance partner. When you're on the plane for 13+ hours, screens much appreciated. All Air China flights seem to
have the same 3 food options, so it was tiresome after a while. Food was ok. English onboard was sufficient. All
flight segments were delayed by at least 1 hr. If you've got a tight schedule, I would not recommend flying through
China at all.

Seoul to Beijing. Delayed take off on the runway. Flight attendant was helpful to ensure I was the first to get off
the plane to catch my connecting flight back to Singapore. Food was basic and it was great that we had our own
personal screen. As for my 2nd leg from Beijing to Singapore, unfortunately there wasn't any entertainment on
board. No personal screen. Similarly the flight was held back at the runway hence causing a delay. Flight attendants
were meticulous and polite.

PVG-KIX. Service polite, efficient and patient, but a little cold. Food was tasty. Check-in procedures and departure
were dealt with swiftly. Strange that no inflight announcements made in Japanese. Lack of personal TV screens,
but there were headsets. Considering the cost of CA compared to Japanese carriers, CA is value for money.

MUC to ATH return. We were surprised to see this route offered by CA, but due to the fare we gave it a try. Ample
space on a clean A330, good food and drinks and an IFE that was plenty for this short trip. The crew was nice and
both flights on time.

Singapore to Chengdu, Chengdu to Lanzhou, Dunhuang to Beijing and Beijing to Singapore. The aircraft are pretty
small for the first flight, using an A319. It is overnight flight, so it is good enough as I rested throughout
the flight. The rest of the flights are quite good with friendly cabin crew and smooth flight. Transfers are
done smoothly and I did not have to drag my luggage around Chengdu and Beijing airports. Air China is upgrading
their fleet recently and I am looking forward to a change in aircraft in the two international routes above.
The food is quite nice. I feel it is one of the better airlines in China.

Sydney-Beijing-Paris return. I travelled with my wife and 3 children and would do again. The staff were very
friendly, the food was comparable to other to other airlines and the seats were comfortable. Great value for
money.

Hong Kong-Beijing and Beijing-Milan. The planes were quite clean and comfortable, the flights were absolutely
on time. Not so bad experience, even if the staff are quite rude and unfriendly: there was a severe quarrel
between a Chinese passenger and an Italian one, the attendants were not able to calm down them at all. Many
children were running up and down the cabin a few minutes after take off, no control from the attendants.

Sydney-Beijing-Seoul Incheon. The plane was clean and seat was comfortable. There were PTV
screens but what was shown didn't seem to correspond at all with the entertainment guide. This
made using the system quite difficult. There were two meal choices for dinner and the food was
pretty good but there was only one choice for breakfast and it wasn't very nice. The flight
attendants were professional and helpful and spoke adequate English but not really friendly.
Overall it was a good travel experience for the price paid.

YVR-HKG (layover in PEK). Attendants spoke enough English and were friendly enough (the
younger ones were friendlier than the older ones). Plane was a modern A330 and was clean. Had
personal tv with a surprising amount of movies. Had two meals, dinner and breakfast. Dinner
was adequate, but breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. One of the cheaper flights to HKG.
Beijing Airport wasn't the greatest (food was restricted to restaurants only, difficult to buy
simple snacks and drinks, and gates are far). Overall quite satisfied.

SFO to Beijing China. The seat alright, no tv but old fashioned projector. The lunch and dinner
they serve was reasonable. They serve water and other drinks throughout the flight. The
stewardess were not that friendly, but beside that they were alright. Landing at Beijing and
transferring flight to Bangkok, another 5 hrs flight. My overall experience in Air China was a
6 out of 10.

Flew to Beijing, a short-haul flight. The flight departed from Shanghai on time. Served
breakfast (big dumpling). Everything was quite OK.
