Vancouver - Toronto - Cancun return. Flight was very good, everything on time. Cabin was clean and spacious
in economy and flight crew nice on all sectors. I needed assistance arriving from Cancun to Toronto for my
connection to Vancouver as my arm was in a brace. The agent picked up my luggage and took me to the
transfer desk, checked me in and right through security priority lines. I made an international to domestic
connection in less than an hour. Only complaint I would have is the Buy on Board. I wish they could get a
caterer to supply tastier food, I would be prepared to pay more and have complimentary hot food in the Y
cabin like the good old days. My Tango fare included seat selection. Also no charge for movies unlike the
competition. Very good service and would definitely recommend AC.

Flew Vancouver to Orlando via Toronto. All flights on time, IFE has improved in the last few months with a lot
more choices. Staff all pleasant and happy to serve. Lounges in Vancouver and Toronto well stocked and a
good soup in Toronto Lounges. All in all very good experience for a North American airline.

SYD to YHZ. Usually I would pick Qantas but this time Air Canada came in cheaper. Seats were fairly
comfortable, food on the whole was good. Breakfast was spoiled on the trip to Vancouver from Sydney
because it was over heated. On return trip, much better. Entertainment system was great. Very impressed
with the service on return. Delayed in Halifax due to fog, then again in Montreal due to runway shutdown. In
Vancouver we were concerned that we would miss our connection to Sydney since the plane was boarding as
we touched down. No worries. Whisked from gate to gate in record time.

Recently flew from LGA to YUL - excellent flight. The check-in was quick, checked in on my iPhone, printed
the boarding pass once I got to the airport. Went through security quickly and boarded. The seats were
comfortable, the staff friendly and very good in-flight entertainment system.

LHR-YYZ. From London on A330. Old fashioned aircraft. Food not as good as expected. Ticket price cheap and
entertainment was ok.

YYZ-SFO. First experience with Air Canada. After a poor BA flight across the pond it was pleasing to see an
enthusiastic crew. Was seated in row 1 so was able to watch the service director welcome all the passengers
on board in a warm, friendly manner. He looked after the full business cabin serving the three course lunch
with ease ensuring all passengers had frequent drink top ups. If only the BA LCY service could do this.

Flew from Sydney to Vancouver in economy, flight was half full so desk staff spread everyone out to have
spare seats in between. Check in was a little slow and coming off a connecting flight from Adelaide didn't
give us much time to walk to gate. Actually boarded as soon as we reached gate. As this was our first flight
with A/C and after reading previous reviews was expecting the worst. To our surprise was probably one of the
best flights we have had, seating was good and plenty of leg room being nearly 180cm tall, food was served
throughout flight and very good for economy. IFE system was touch screen and better than the hand held
controls of most other airlines. Drinks were offered (water) during the sleeping period at regular intervals.
Staff were always courteous and helpful. We are flying with A/C internally in the next few weeks and hope
this level of service keeps up, will let you all know. Would not hesitate to fly A/C again.

Flew LHR to YYZ on a B763. Had a terrific flight with AC. Crew were friendly and happy to help with anything. Food was
pretty good, even the pre landing snack, which was a tasty hot chicken wrap. Add free alcohol and an excellent IFE
system, and there's nothing to complain about. Well done AC.

Newark to Toronto. A little confusion when the gate number was not displayed on the screens, but the flight itself was
fine. An attendant at the gate confirmed that our luggage had been transferred from the previous flight. The plane was
comfortable and everything was on time.

Our most recent trip was to the UK and back. Both flights on time, comfortable, and with pleasant, helpful ground
staff and cabin crew. On the outbound overnight flight, we were served a tasty and plentiful breakfast, on the return
a very good meal with wine as well as a snack. Throughout the flight, we were offered water. The entertainment was
excellent with a choice of movies, including several new releases, and variety of TV shows.

Boston to Calgary was the trip. Did not have access to be able to do on-line check-in so upon arrival at Boston were
told they were overbooked and had to wait until last minute to know if we were even going. Wife and I had booked in
June for this Sep flight. Then given boarding passes by very grumpy lady clerk. Didn't even look up at us. Seats
weren't even together! Plane change at Toronto and of course same deal as 1st leg. I was seated between 2 women and my
wife was between 2 men! Ticket also said meal was included. No such thing. Suitcase each was charged for & of course
no prior notice. Seems this happens going from US to Canada & vice versa as flight from Calgary to Vancouver was no
luggage charge. Strange indeed. Will never complain about our Aussie companies again. On the good points-we arrived
alive and pretty well on time.

LHR to YVR in economy. Air Canada lounge staff at LHR excellent. Food and seat okay. The challenges Air Canada seem
unable to overcome are the inconsistent FA attitudes and the mediocre IFE. On this flight, FAs were poorly attired and
some actually looked scruffy. Their attitude on board was at best indifferent and at worst surly. The only time any
FAs who I encountered appeared to be somewhat affable and actually smiling, was immediately prior to touch down at
Vancouver. While I've encountered some excellent service on board AC, it's all too rare and this inconsistency is the
airline's Achilles Heel.

LHR-YVR-LHR. Have not flown AC for a while but seen there "glossy" advertising. Seats very comfortable if you do not
have the IFE unit under the seat in front of you. Pitch acceptable 32 in I guess. Some signs of wear and tear but
everything worked very well. So thumbs up for the "hardware". Software however still a huge let down. Crew do not hide
at all that they do not want to be there. Regardless if senior or junior crew member. Obviously no idea what they are
serving as FAs had to ask each other what they actually serve across the plane and explain the difference between
chicken and salmon. I had no special meal but noticed that these were almost thrown at those who had ordered them. On
top of that they obviously their passenger seat list is not matching the real seating arrangements. For every meal
they had to ask at least 3 passengers if they were the person who had ordered that meal. At one time I was asked if I
am Mr. XY who had ordered YZ meal. After politely declining I was asked if I was sure, what was rather funny, as I am
not a split personality. Salmon main meal on the way to YVR was very tasty though, Snack wrap was good as well in the
middle of the flight and last bar service including nibbles was even a surprise. Came through the cabin with water
frequently, however the way they walked the cabin with the water seemed like being in a comedy show with waiving and
raised arms. One younger FA that I had on both legs obviously decided that washroom garbage bins are ideal to throw
away cabin trash. Was funny to look at but not very professional. From cans, bottles etc everything was thrown in
there. Additional requests for drinks are adhered to but if you are lucky FA hands it over decently but most just hand
it over without even looking at you or stopping at your row. To be fair, they did their job but you know that they
actually hate their profession. One FA on the way back somehow was very friendly to me, but kept the usual attitude to
the other passengers. All in all, if schedule and price is right (has to be cheaper than other direct flying
competitors), will take them again. Or of course if there is no other option. They take you from A to B in a efficient
way which counts actually but a whole new bunch of motivated FAs would do AC good.

Toronto to London, booked flight six months before flying date, being 6'5" tall I paid extra for a preferred seat in
economy, but because they changed the plane did not get one. The attitude of the customer service assistant was one of
indifference, he said 'many of our customers are tall', he couldn't accept I'd paid extra for a better seat because of
my height, I had no e-mail notification, the whole experience was very upsetting. I will never travel by Air Canada
again, which is a shame really as they were always very good before, what upset me more than anything was no apology
from anyone.

Return trip from Toronto to Geneva via Montreal. The check in was a disaster in Toronto, the self check in
kiosks were to be utilized prior to going to the baggage drop off line which was manned by two agents who
had no idea how to operate the self check in kiosks. Therefore, waited an extra 20 minutes in regular line
despite having checked in online and having printed our boarding passes. Cabin staff does not care and do
not smile. The inflight entertainment was not bad. The food was terrible with a cold carrot muffin for
breakfast and a hot wrap filled with beans for a snack. Will avoid this airline at any cost even if it means
paying a bit more to fly something else.
