Flight attendants friendly, movie selection was good. Seating a little cramped, but to be
expected in economy. We landed in Paris on time, however, the passengers stood in the plane
for 45 minutes because the tunnel to attach to the door was malfunctioning so they had to find
a portable stairway to let the passengers off. We originally had 1.5 hours to catch or next
flight to Rome, but by the time they let us off the plane, we had to literally run to the next
terminal, run through customs which left us only ten minutes to board before the plane shut
their doors behind us. A French woman in the airport told us that this happens all the time
with Air France and even apologized for it. On our way back we again had 1.5 hours between our
flight from Paris to Los Angeles, but customs took forever, the customs girl was moving in
slow motion. She seemed to want us to take everything out of our carryon luggage and
individually place them in the trays. The passport stamp guy was slow - almost as if he was
doing it on purpose. We seemed to have gone through a few custom checks - everyone we passed
dressed in a suit seemed to want to check our passports and look in our carry on luggage. My
husband's diabetic medicine pack was thoroughly inspected by three different people. This has
never happened before with any other airline. By the time we cleared all these people, our
plane was already boarding. Luckily this time we had an extra seat between us - poor guy must
have missed this flight. The food was good, but this was the first airline where we ate cold
food. Air France got us to and from our destination, and it was $200 cheaper, but for the
stress of trying to get to our connecting flights, I think I will pay the extra $200 and stay
with Swiss.

Newark to Paris is sold with one-hour connection to Air France flight frm Paris to Naples. It
is impossible to make this connection given the way Air France operates on the ground at Paris
CDG airport. After spending fifteen minutes driving around the airport (and passing the
Terminal/gate we needed), we spent another fifteen minutes de-planing down a ladder to the
tarmac and boarding buses. The buses then spent fifteen minutes driving among the terminals,
passing the departure terminal we needed (2F) to drop us of at 2E. We then had to walk from
2E to 2F, go through passport verification and then through security inspections. We were two
minutes late but Air France, who knew we were arriving for the connecting flight, had filled
our seats with standbys and refused to let us board. Twelve people missed that flight and
dozens more missed other connections; the line at the Air France service counter was about 1.5
hours long with folks trying to book new connections.

My wife and I flew back to Washington D.C. on Air France. We had to fly from London Heathrow
to Paris CDG for our connecting flight to Dulles. We had only 1 hour between flights. When we
checked in at Heathrow they put us in the last row of the plane, meaning when we arrived in
Paris we would be the last ones off the plane. The flight was delayed out of Heathrow by at
least 25 minutes. So now in addition to being the last ones off the plane we also lost 25
minutes in delays. When we arrived in Paris we had to take a train to the departure terminal
and then had to go through security again! There were huge lines to go through security and
nobody was interested in the fact we had no time to catch our connecting flight. We finally
made it through security and ran towards our gate which was of course the furthest from the
security point. We got on the flight because everyone else was delayed as well. When we
arrived at Dulles no baggage. When we went through customs with no baggage the agent remarked
that we must have flown Air France. Since filing the missing baggage form I have tried to call
numerous times and get put on hold with no one ever answering. I will never ever fly Air
France again.

CDG-SIN in B777-300. Rapid check-in and nice Air France lounge in terminal 2E. Flight
attendants were attentive and customer-minded. IFE working perfectly and meals were excellent.
Overall, very good experience

Singapore to Paris and onto Tel Aviv with Air France. I did enjoy the self-service area. The
food was really good. The staff sort of dissapeared and were aloof. The seating was cramped,
but I was lucky on all the trips to have space next to me. No delays, no lost luggage, no
dramas. I don't however know if I would fly with them again. I only did as it was the cheapest
ticket.

JNB-CDG-ORD return. The flights were on time, food and service was above average and the fare
was reasonable compared to competitor airlines on that route.

San Francisco to Paris (CDG) and return. Check-in was easy and efficient at SFO. The flight
was on time, good choice of entertainment on AVOD system and dinner was good, but breakfast
not so much since they had run out of adult meals and I had to take a kid's meal (though my
traveling companion did get an adult meal). Inflight crew was kind and reset my AVOD system
when it wasn't working right at first. However, our luggage was lost for a couple days, but
Air France gave us toiletries and delivered our luggage promptly when they found it. Return
was a mixed bag as well. No personal AVOD system; movies were shown on screens like the olden
days which made the flight move at a glacial pace. Food was good for both meals and the crew,
although they disappeared after take off and only reappeared for meals and landing, was nice
and appeared to refill the self-service snack area frequently. Flight was an hour late
getting into San Francisco, but at least our luggage made it this time. Overall, not a bad
experience and I would consider flying them again, but would see what alternatives are out there.

LHR-CDG-DXB. A318 / A330-200. Short flight from LHR was fine, small snack and a Diet Coke.
Connection at CDG somewhat stressful as it was unclear how to get to the gate for the onward
leg. Airport staff unhelpful. Departed on time but taxied for fifty minutes due to "industrial
action" - not elaborated on. More like a go-slow, work-to-rule, but by whom, it was unclear.
An hour after leaving the gate, we suddenly powered up without warning and took off. IFE was
completely unusable due to the headphones AF provide, which don't cover one's ears, in fact
seem to exaggerate the aircraft / engine noise, and even at full volume, movie dialogue etc is
inaudible. Socket is airline-specific so you can't just substitute your iPod buds. Was almost
amused to see half the passengers holding their hands over their ears in a game (but, having
tried myself, probably futile) effort to wrestle some use from the IFE system. Possibly due to
the late hour, meal was unpleasant and miserly. Did not see crew for the remainder of the
flight. Landed an hour late without apology. Given AF reputation with baggage handling,
carried only hand-luggage, but they were every bit as annoying and uninterested in their
passengers' welfare as the myth suggests. How this airline is a 4-Star airline I will never know.

seemed to be pretty much closed at 6pm!

Economy SIN-CDG-HEL return. Outbound flight on B777-300. Check-in and boarding was comfortable
and efficient. AF sits in a 3-4-3 configuration, which made for cramped seating width-wise.
Seat pitch seemed adequate at 32", but if you are sitting next to a large passenger, be
prepared to be cramped width-wise. Food was good, and I liked the self-service bar with drinks
and snacks throughout the flight. Inflight entertainment excellent - movies and music on
demand, in multiple languages. Service was sometimes brisk, but not unfriendly. Return trip
was slightly worse - APU failed on tarmac, leaving a hot cabin. To be fair, the captain
explained twice and they did try to get a ground (but underpowered) APU. Crew looked hot and
fed-up, and served water grumpily on ground. After taking off, flight was uneventful but crew
on outbound were slightly less enthusiastic for passenger service. Flights on time for both
outward and return journeys.

BLR-CDG-BLR round trip on a relatively old A330-200. Mixed experience. Boarding smooth at BLR.
A late night meal was served which was okay. Breakfast before landing at CDG was good. For the
return flight boarding at CDG was chaotic. I had requested a special meal which was served for
lunch, but not for the cold dinner. The meals were rather small considering the long flying
time. Did not get decaf coffee even after two requests. FA courteous but did not appear to be
efficient. I had better experience on earlier occasions. Definitely not fit for a four star
rating!
